Everything was perfect

Easy to find walking from the airport at night and well paved/lit up! Location is excellent with Woolworths close by. Check-in was seamless and I was able to arrive at midnight. Bed comfortable and blind/shade on capsule was quite effective in keeping light out.

Expect not to sleep bc well. As expected near an airport, frequent guests coming and going at all hours. It would be nice to have bench in the showers to place toiletries instead of on the floor.

I loved the environment and atmosphere 9/10

On arrival I wasn’t provided my pod number therefore had mistaken mine for someone else’s

Chap on check in desk was super friendly and helpful. Knew what we wanted before we even articulated it. Couldn't rate this chap any higher. The room was just what we needed as a place to rest the night before an international flight. Airport walkable and lots of eateries even closer - we went with Mexicali, it might have won out due to the margaritas. Definitely would stay again.

Insulation round the window was damaged and so it was a little draughty. The fan in the bathroom.kept clicking on and off during the night, a little disruptive to sleep.

Absolutely excellent stay at LyLo Christchurch. It’s exceptionally good value, comfortable, clean and really thoughtfully designed for backpackers. The pods are great, with blackout blinds, individual USB ports and power sockets, and the fresh, professionally laundered linen was a nice touch. The bathrooms and kitchen were immaculately clean, and the spacious, sunny hangout area with hammocks, egg chairs, TV and board games was a great place to relax. The large free secure suitcase lockers were particularly useful. It’s also only around a 10-minute walk from Christchurch Airport. I’d definitely stay again!

Great location for the airport and all I needed. Clean and professional. I only stayed 1 night so my score is 9 for what I saw, but no issues at all.

All we needed was a comfortable bed, shower and tea - exactly what we got!

Close proximity to airport

Plane was delayed so we arrived at 2.30am and there was no one on the desk. Finally came out and told us the room number but was different to what was written down. Caused confusion trying to unlock a door that was incorrect

8 minite walk to airport. Perfect location. Room was good. Stsff member on checkin was helpful with shortcut to airport, easy as.

Staff member at check in was super helpful, rooms were clean and shared areas were fantastic.

One point lost though for the fact that the showers were lukewarm at best and in the rooms you could not turn off the super bright, white LEDs so outside your pod it was difficult to wind down and as someone who actually doesn't like sleeping with the pod blind shut (I usually leave it open whilst I sleep), I had no choice and felt a little claustrophobic. Also no ensuite option

I flew in at 2 am in the morning .so booked for that day .remember this is a 24 hr acess motel .it turns out i should of booked for day before apparently . I still struggle to understand this .anyway the person who i deslt with was rude and not helpful at all in the i lost $120 accomodation and slept in car .not impressed one bit

Great location, just a 10-minute walk from the airport. The walk felt safe even late at night. Very affordable and good value for money.

The room smelled exactly like a hospital ward. It genuinely felt like I was staying in a hospital.

The location is by far the biggest advantage. It’s extremely convenient for Christchurch Airport and within easy walking distance of shops, restaurants, cafés and a supermarket. The price is also reasonable, making it a convenient and affordable option for an overnight stay near the airport.

Unfortunately, there were several issues with my room. Cleanliness could have been better, particularly the bed. Although it appeared clean, I experienced significant itching for two days after my stay, which was very unpleasant and concerning. The biggest problem, however, was the constant low-level noise throughout the night, possibly from nearby heat pumps or other building equipment. It significantly disrupted my sleep, and after waking around 4:15 am, I couldn’t get back to sleep. Better soundproofing, allocating private rooms away from noisy equipment, or at least providing earplugs would help. I had booked a private room, which is one of the more expensive accommodation options at the property, so I expected a reasonably quiet and comfortable location. Even for budget accommodation, a clean bed and the ability to get a decent night’s sleep should be basic expectations.

Location to airport - 10 mins walk to airport (via short cuts in retail complex) - Google said 15 mins Clean Excellent value. Had a private room with bathroom. Like a budget hotel rather than backpackers. Loved the lockable storage locker (paid $14 for the day). But the best bit was the 'hub' social area

The aircon/ heaters haven’t worked properly the last 3 times I’ve stayed. Black mould growing in bathroom’s, paint peeling away, draft from windows. Nz healthy home standards are better than this accommodation provided. Worst part is if it’s too cold cos draft and heater doesn’t work, no extra blankets too. Staff either unavailable or annoyed you asked them to do their job… use to be better

Very helpful friendly staff, and a nice view in the main Hall.

There was a lot of food in thr fridge that was left for too long. It was being cleaned while I was there. I am not complaining but - for the record - that sort of thing should be settled earlier.

Easy check in. Super clean. Great kitchen and lounge area. Pods were a fun experience and roomier than I imagined. 2min walk to supermarket and many food options

Parking is tough but even on its busiest it was only a 5min walk away
