Comfy bed
Decor very dark Noisy traffic No evening food
I had stayed the year before so I knew what to expect. Comfy room and bed and easy for a stay on Skomer Island.
The decor is a bit worn.
central location
noise of traffic
Clean and comfortable. Handy to town.
The price was good. Parking was good. Bed was comfy. Tea/coffee making facilities good Nice to see ironing board and iron and also a decent hairdryer
The room was tiny for two people. Lack of shelving in the bathroom for toiletries. Tiny sink in bathroom. Shower door was dirty. Sugar or salt??? on the bed Sliding door to bathroom at an angle & did not shut. Door needs tlc. Light on left side of bed didn't work. Free toiletries poor quality.
Perfect location
Nothing
Food is great. Location is great
Rooms need to be decorated, paint/ paper flaking off walls. View out the window was a manky old bed that had been chucked there
Nothing
Nitty
The location is central to a lot of south wales locations (tenby, st davids etc.)
A super strong damp smell and overall just really in need of maintenance. Felt the price (including having to pay £6 for parking!) was a bit steep for what you get.
Central location
Small room
ideal for buses and town and good week
plenty of shops and pubs and clean town friendly people
Very central location and good to be able to bring our dog. Good shower
Too much dust in room, mould on window netting and £6 per night for parking (would prefer total night price to be more and car parking included)
Very convenient for what we needed
Bit pushed for space in the en suite but ok for short stay
Had to pay for parking, plus the room very tired lots of noise from upstairs
Room very comfortable and clean. Breakfast good. Staff excellent.
The bar needs renovation. Quite dul and poor lighting.
We arrived early and wanted to leave the bags, but were allowed to check in early:)Good size and comfortable room. Close to everything!!!
BED COMFORT
SMELL OF DAMP IN THE BEDROOM, WARDROBE HIDING THE LIGHT SWITCH, WALLPAPER COMING OFF THE WALLS
Central location. Local supermarket very close. Parking was good. Very friendly staff.
Room is bit too small, but it didn't matter as we spent most of the time, exploring the local area, fab place to visit.
It was clean Close to what we was doing
Bed wasn't very comfortable No atmosphere in the bar downstairs
Breakfast was ok but found the dining room a bit dark. Staff were friendly
The bathroom in our room smelt of sewage coming up through the shower drain. Reported it but as they only put something smelly down the drain it made no difference. The hotel obviously know this is a problem but are still renting out the room.
Location good very close to centre of town. A little close to main road but very little traffic at night. Room was very clean and well presented looks like it had been recently refurbished and well appointed although the walls would benefit from a fresh coat of paint. Other wise good value and we would stay there again. We didn't try the food but it had a 5 on the door perhaps next time.
Fantastic location with on-site car parking. Friendly and welcoming staff and a lovely traditional central town hotel ambience serving visitors and locals.
Nothing at all left to be desired during our stay.
Very central location
Basic room but was a budget hotel
Goede badkamer, vriendelijk personeel, goed ontbijt , goede prijs
Good location to walk into town, but right on a round about and very noisy traffic. Lady at check in was very nice
I booked a superior twin room so was expecting a bit of space and got a small corner room with no desk and no fridge. We got one normal bed and another terrible smaller bed with a mattress with springs oractically sticking through - my daughter had to sleep ON the duvet as so uncomfortable. Also the shower basin is a death trap as so slippy when wet so be careful with that. Thankfully we bought our own fan as the room was also very stuffy as couldn’t open the windows for the noise. We stayed one night - I would have found alternative accommodation if I had to stay any longer
Friendly staff and very accommodating for early check in
Showers in bedrooms
They gave us a full refund
Room was very small and had hole in the ceiling, mattress was old and no pillow protectors, the wifi was useless, and parking was expensive. The best part they gave us a full refund
Nothing at all good with this place
Room was stinking had mold all over the ceiling terrible smell in toilet all pubic hair in shower tray lights that was working was very dim lamps had no bulbs in them ironing board cover was like someone had been using it in a dirty field kettle was all full of dust new mattress needed
I don’t had
Street voices
Friendly and helpfull staff.Natalie ,Hayley, & Karen with ever present Kevin ready to help. Drink prices very reasonable.
The staff were nice.
Climbing the stairs to the top floor, the bed was too hard. Breakfast was not included and what was paid for wasn’t good enough.
The staff were friendly
Very disappointing stay – would not recommend Unfortunately, our recent stay at The County Hotel in Haverfordwest was extremely disappointing. The room was far too small and impractical for two people, with a very small double bed. Worse still, there were springs coming through the mattress, making it extremely uncomfortable. The breakfast was an additional charge, but it arrived cold and was simply not worth the extra cost. The price of breakfast was also not made clear when booking through Booking.com. Likewise, the charges for parking and bringing our dog were not clearly highlighted, so we were faced with a much larger bill when we arrived. A major issue was the fact that the hotel does not have a lift. This was not made sufficiently clear on Booking.com and there are a lot of stairs. This is particularly problematic for anyone with mobility issues or a disability. Had I known there was no lift and how many stairs were involved, I would never have booked this hotel. The general condition of the hotel was also very shabby and clearly in need of refurbishment and maintenance. There was peeling paint on the doors, radiators and skirting boards, chipped tiles in the shower and, incredibly, no shower mat. The shower floor was dangerously slippery and presented a genuine safety concern. Overall, the room, facilities, cleanliness/condition, accessibility and unexpected additional charges made this a very poor experience. The information provided at the time of booking should have been much clearer, particularly regarding the lack of a lift and the extra charges. Sadly, I would not stay here again and would not recommend it, particularly to anyone with mobility difficulties.
Pleasant staff but a bit run down
Room a bit run down, a lot of traffic noise through night, breakfast room very dark.
Great budget priced hotel, stayed here several times and very happy 😊
The room was nicely decorated and had all the essentials. It was clean and the shower was good. The location was good for accessing town for shops and places to eat. It is easy to find and the location is good for transport links and getting to the coast. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful. The staff resolved an issue with the second day's breakfast booking quickly and fairly. The parking was convenient to access the hotel.
The beds were a bit uncomfortable, particularly the pull out sofa bed. The room has a bit of wear and tear, but a lick of paint would fix it. When we booked in, the staff member didn't give enough information about the extras we were being charged for which caused an issue on the second morning, as the hotel hadn't prepared enough breakfast to include our party (but this was resolved professionally). The free wifi did not work because the signal was poor in a top floor room. Accessibility is a bit difficult if you have a disability, but this is due to the age of the building more than the people/company running it.
Helpful staff, tea and coffee. Comfortable mattress.
A constant smell coming from the bathroom. Dark room with water stains on the ceiling and paint chipping off the walls. Curtains didn't cover the windows properly. Noisy outside at night.
Il Wi-Fi non funzionante
The location was perfect for me, as it was a short walk from the train station. The receptionist/bar staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was nice.
Centraal, schoon, comfortabel
Gehorig: rumoerige bovenburen
The room was spacious and mostly lovely. And the bed was comfy. Close to town.
However, the paint was peeling off near the window, there was damp above the bed and the bathroom literally smelt like raw sewage. The springs on the sofa have gone, making it very uncomfortable to even sit on. One of the bulbs in the lamps didn't work. It hadn't been hoovered properly, there were food items left under bed.
Great location with parking on site. Friendly staff and the rooms were clean and comfortable
The toilets were so narrow
Ontbijt en personeel. Vernieuwing badkamer
Erg warm, slechte verluchtings mogelijkheid kamer
We loved staying at this historic Welsh hotel! We were able to park in the lot behind the building and walk all over through the quaint town. Our rooms were very comfortable and well stocked. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast and the staff were so friendly and helpful.
The street sounds could be a bit loud if you were wanting to sleep in, but were fine for us as we were up and about. Another thing to note was in two of the three of our rooms, the shower was right in the bedroom, with the toilet and sink being in a separate bathroom in the suite. Fine for us, but maybe something to consider.
Location and room size
all very nice
nothing
Great location
First room was not clean and had a really strong smell of damp. Second room was ok but not great, third room was much better.
Was ok
Eenmaal aangekomen verschoten we enorm.
Room was clean and comfortable.
Windows couldn't open properly due to secondary double glazing, so I had to have a fan going 24/7 which only just made the room bearable.
great location in the centre of everywhere we needed. easy to find and parking onsite is a bonus
Good location, short walk into town. Although the hotel was dated, small rooms etc it was good value for the money we paid.
Rooms small, in need of decoration.
Very reasonably priced
Paintwork a little scuffed in public areas
The mattress in the hotel room was the single worst mattress I have ever slept on in my entire life. Springs/coils sticking out at all angles. The most uncomfortable night's sleep ever! We were booked in for two nights and had to check out after the first (would've checked out on the night itself but reception closed at 10). Reading reviews this seems to be a common complaint so I cannot fathom why they haven't replaced them. Towels were dirty, bathroom was tiny. Whole place felt rundown and unclean. Very noisy because of the main road outside, and the curtain didn't cover the full window so the room was far too bright. Breakfast was more expensive than their website claims, and a random bucket of wet rags was left under one of the tables. Parking on the private car park was £6 a night (why?) - they would not even refund this for the unused second night.
Ontbijt was goed evenals de douche.
De locatie. Enorm veel herrie door verkeer.
An older style & central property
Car parking available.
Paying for car park. Poor quality breakfast.
Great for what we wanted
No air con. Very warm in room , even with a fan!!!
The staff were really friendly and helpful.
The sofa bed in our room dipped in the middle so only one of my children could sleep on it but it was ok
Centrally located. Helpful staff.
Tired looking rooms, could do with a lick of paint and some basic repairs!
Super staff
Beds not very comfortable
It has everything you need at a good price. Perfect if you just need a base for visiting the surrounding areas such as skomer.
The toilet was right next to the shower so space was a bit limited - however not the end of the world!
Location and price
Not the fault of the hotel but it was a very hot weekend and our room was at the top in the attic and only had a small window so very very hot room. Other rooms looked better as had big windows to open. The hotel could have maybe provided a fan in the room.
Staff were lovely and helpful
There was no lift, so you had to carry you luggage, up three flights to the room. Beds could do with new mattresses. More storage in the bathroom and bedroom.
Location was good, staff very helpful
Holes in the ceiling, and mould in the first room
The hotel was located pretty close to the event I was attending, so it was great to know I had a place nearby to go afterwards. It was good value for money and the staff were very friendly. The breakfast was also great.
As happens with old buildings, the floor in the room had a slope... meaning that the bed had a slight but noticeable slant to one side. There's not much the hotel can do about something like that, but I did wake up with one heck of a backache.
Location
Room was grimey, obviously not properly cleaned for a long time, The disposable plastic cups on the bathroom sink had toothpaste finger marks from the last occupants, dirty skirting boards and the bathroom floor was sticky, I had to put toilet paper on the bedside table because it was dirty and the smell in the room was damp. The afternoon bar and check in lady was keen to do anything
Staff polite. Facility ok but hole in ceiling of my room and pigeons at window and I think in attic. Breakfast was of poor quality. The price paid was far too much fora hotel of this standard.

It was close to where we were going and central to the town
The bedding was dirty, blood stained. (Wasn’t noticed until we had woke up the next day after 10+ hours travelling down). Rooms are needing a freshen up, skirting board looks like it’s been chewed by an animal. Lick of paint wouldn’t go a miss.
Friendly staff. Good location and cost
Room had a hole in ceiling that didn't look good. And small bathroom/shower. But, we did book small economy room so was expected. Was still good value for money.
