Very noisy guests returning from the casino until early hours of the morning (talking and slamming doors)

Location was perfect, as it was right there to the Barnyard for the show we went to watch.

Neat room, walk in closet excellent, comfortable beds, felt cold on Friday with Aircon on, didn't know where or how to switch off. Given a welcome note with nice things, that was awesome. Friendly staff, attending to our queries promptly.

Parking too far, no lifts from parking. Friday buffet expensive, but did not cater for us, we didn't eat and yet we paid soo much. From the starters to the dessert, there was nothing eatable for us.

Nice spot on the golden mile. The personell was very helpful and kind.

Some damages on the closet in the bathroom, for a hotel like that it need to be in a very good state, we did not complain about that though.

The staff was very kind and welcoming, the service was exceptional. I will definitely visit again.

The toilet didn’t have a window, I would have liked it to be next to the window were there is a shower.

The noise in the hallway

The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Every single person I passed during my stay took the time to greet me warmly, creating a welcoming atmosphere that made my experience unforgettable.

My room on the ground floor was conveniently close to the casino and front entrance. However, due to the foot traffic in the area, there was some noise. Next time, I would request a room on a quieter floor.

I did not do breakfast. The place and location was good because my event was at ICC so it was convenient

Where it was situated.

We booked for 2 people, there was 1 small bottle of water in the room. There was only 2 sachets of milk provided. My logic say 2 people provide 4 milk, one for evening and one for morning coffee or tea. Shower - I had to run shower for 5 minutes to get water to something feeling like warm. Nothing like starting day with luke cold shower.

Very well maintained deceptive from outside. The rooms are clean but comfortable.

breakfast was great and elaborate. staff were absolutely friendly and helpful. sibonisiso particularly went out of his way to assist and make us comfortable. we had a little vibrant 11 month old with us and the manager took care of her for us to enjoy dinner. it was really great. i spend my birthday there and dont regret anything. the ocean view room definitely a must.

I was genuinely surprised by the class and high standard of Suncoast. The rooms we stayed in were exceptional. Our welcome and general care from the staff was wonderful. They also took the time to arrange a birthday cake slice and birthday card for my 11 year olds birthdya. We will definitely be back.

While the room has delicious nespress coffee, the breakfast coffee in the restaurant wasn't good. Didn't match the rest of the hotel's high standards.

Very convenient and clean, staff friendly and helpful. They had a early breakfast available for the Amashowa cyclists 🚴‍♂️ which was very convenient.

Could not watch Tour de France did not had the cycling chanel, previous years we could watch it they had the cycling chanel. I did complain to Management.

Front desk... Palvi was excellent at customer service... Especially since our room wasn't ready and available upon arrival however she was incredibly helpful and made certain that we had beautiful memories made. Thank you so much for such a wonderful holiday.

The only thing was the disturbance of people going to and from Jeera, speaking very loudly and knocking on the doors after 10.30pm. Perhaps considering another entrance to the restaurant that avoids this.

Hotel stole my staff

We recently stayed at this hotel, and despite it being fully booked, the staff went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible. When we checked in at 14:00, there were no non-smoking rooms available, which was our preference. The room we were allocated had previously been used as a smoking room, so housekeeping immediately sprayed it to help remove the smell. At around 18:00, reception kindly informed us that a non-smoking room had become available. By then, however, we had already unpacked and decided to remain in our original room. The staff even sprayed the room a second time to further reduce the smoke smell, which we really appreciated. The service throughout our stay was exceptional. We requested wake-up calls and received them promptly. They even called a second time to make sure we were actually awake! We also requested an extra blanket, which was delivered immediately. The reception staff, porters and housekeeping team were all incredibly friendly, professional and helpful. They genuinely made us feel like part of the family, and their hospitality was one of the highlights of our stay. Although we didn't dine at the hotel because the restaurant was fully booked, it was very convenient to access the adjacent casino via a covered passage, where we enjoyed our meals. The room was spotless, the linen was crisp and clean, and the pillows were exceptionally comfortable. The hotel's location is excellent, allowing us to walk to most places we wanted to visit. Overall, we had an absolutely wonderful stay. The outstanding customer service, comfortable accommodation, and convenient location made for a fantastic experience. We were genuinely sad to leave and would not hesitate to here again. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

If I had one very minor suggestion, it would be that the air conditioning in the room and the passageways could be set just a little warmer. That said, my husband was perfectly comfortable with the temperature, so it's very much a personal preference.

Cleanliness, staff were friendly, sea view, safety of my car, casino and restaurant are not far from the hotel.

The bar was not welcoming at all with no one serving there after we had attended the barnyard show and wanted a drink at the hotel bar. Someone came to serve us after awhile but very quiet area with no appeal

My stay was very pleasant, the staff was friendly and accommodating. Breakfast at Jeera was good. I would recommend anyone to stay at Suncoast Towers Hotel.

I didn't like that when you entered your room, you get the smell of cigarettes. That was a bit annoying. Please do something about that. Thanks.

The aesthetics

No smart TV’s

The location and safety were excellent. The facilities, although not a real 5*, were at a good level for the price. The hotel environment was very pleasant. The staff were mostly very welcoming and helpful and responded to our requests quickly and efficiently. The food at the restaurant was good and prices were adequate.

The pool is not heated and there is no *C taken; it is not swimmable except on a very very hot day, maybe. The first room that was allocated to us reeked of smoke, although it was supposed to be a non-smoking room, but the manager moved us quickly to another room which was perfect. The lighting in the room was a bit dim, so it was difficult to work in the afternoon.

This actually relates to booking.com I cancelled my first booking before deadline and sent an email to the email address given that no payment must be taken from my credit card The booking confirmation number that I cancelled is 5006272446 I never used this room at all, and when I asked Suncoast to give me a credit, they said I must raise this with booking.com Suncoast can confirm I never used this room, I used another booking confirmation room

Exceptionally friendly concierges, especially Busani but really all of them. Found the male reception staff to be very warm & welcoming too. The hotel restaurant, Jeera had amazing food at dinner time. Location was very close to Florida road & its array of lovely cafes. The cafes at the casino side provided many options for dining in.

Housekeeping staff were very flexible but on several occasions they did forget to leave certain things. However, once called up they attended to things very promptly.

I was allowed to cancel my booking due to a work situation but still have no refund.

On the night I arrived, Durban was so cold and I was told the building has no heating system, only cooling. I had to request for extra blankets, and the rooms are too small

Food was excellent. Service was great. Beautiful view of the ocean, Loved waking up in the morning. Loved how close the beach was, Durban has also cleaned up quiet a bit so i felt really safe walking at night on the beach walkway

There was not enough signage when there was a private function on the premise. Just walked in and looked like a fool. Monkeys were also little concerning when sitting by the pool area cause they carry viruses. Didn't really like the way we had to access the Casino, not a good at all. Hated it actually.

OVERPRICED- SPARCE and very limited breakfast. Rooms small and SMELLY!!! The whole hotel on EVERY floor smells like cigarettes- even in non smoking. Bedding is a joke- they don’t have inners in the duvet covers, the aircon has only COLD temperature options and when asked they said it’s because we are in Durban- imagine in THIS climate change and This cold that has hit SA. It is WINTER. That’s pathetic. Staff never really knows what’s going on either. Walls are thin- neighbours fighting at night and throwing things around made it unbearable. Cigarette buds also in the lift- people smoke anywhere INSIDE this hotel. The beds are hard as hell. Rooms not maintained- smelly carpet, dirty cushions, dirty water, half clean showers. Just sies man. Listen- this place is the worst! It is a SCAM. I regretted every bit of my stay and wasted a lot of money. Save your time and money and take it elsewhere but not here

Rooms are too small. Shower and toilet aren’t in a separate room, they are just behind a see through glass enclosure so no privacy at all. Called reception at around 11pm and calls weren’t answered. Had to go down.

I liked the location, which is right at the beachfront and near many restautants.

I didn't enjoy most of the food on offer. I think the hotel prioritizes Indian guests in terms of food, while also welcoming guests from different culinary backgrounds. I would like to see a variety of food on their menu.

The staff treatment was exceptional. The hotel is clean and the view both sea and city facing are remarkable.

Customer service, waited more than 3 hours for our room and room was not even cleaned properly. Had to always phone for clean towels since they don’t add them in the morning after cleaning the room . Horrible service overall.
