Gabe the valet is awesome! He is professional, courteous and always takes care of me.
Could not have asked for a better stay. First and foremost was the staff. The front desk, housekeeping and restaurant staff were fantastic. Check-in was easy. During our stay, a young lady at the front desk named Lexi helped us several times. An extremely nice and knowledgable person, who is a wonderful ambassador for the hotel. Room was clean, comfortable and well-appointed. The atmosphere was relaxing and quiet. The Gulch is a perfect location for the hotel. Close to everything, but far enough away from the "energy" of Broadway so that you could relax. Easy access to all point of the city. Great local stores and restaurants. This was our first time at this hotel, but going forward it will be our go to hotel when visiting Nashville.
My hotel stay was great, everyone was polite and any questions I had they answered in a timely manner. Ahmed (Valet) took great care of my car and did an awesome job with the valet service.
I had a great time with friends at LA Jackson. It was so nice to have handy valet parking which was the most affordable in the gulch! Shout out to Aros and Karos for their service!
Everything about Thompson Nashville is top tier, from check in to Globalist suite upgrade, big windows to cleanliness and maintenance, breakfast to late check out. This is the no nonsense experience that all Hyatt properties should offer. None of the "let me check if I have any rooms available..." attitude that front desks seem to have lately. Its a simple welcome to our hotel, here's your key card to a great room, thank you for your loyalty and your late check out is already in the system. I try to stay at Thompsons when possible and I have to say Nashville tops even Dallas, which is a great hotel.
The team at The Marsh House ROCKS! We are always greeted by Diego with a smile when we pull up. Tony and the team at The Marsh House are attentive, friendly and always make us feel special. This is the best spot for breakfast in Nashville!
Diego with valet was outstanding - friendly and accommodating
Loved being greeted by Diego as we came and went from the hotel. Cassondra took great care of us at the Marsh House. We would definitely stay here again.
We had a great stay! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and our room was clean and comfortable. A special shout-out to Lexi at reception for her thoughtful personal touches and for going the extra mile to make our first visit to Nashville so memorable. We truly appreciated everything. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!!
Beautiful hotel… delicious food at the restaurant and in their meeting rooms. Enjoyed my stay.. some of the best sleep of my life
1st time in Nashville, stayed at the Thompson Hotel. Absolutely splendid staff, rooms, meeting rooms superbly comfortable!
The Thompson Nashville is a great hotel in a great location that provides great service. From Diego the valet who parked our car when we arrived, to Jack who manages the Marsh House restaurant, to Cassandra who topped off our coffee in the morning the experience was top shelf across the board.
The hotel is great! The location is perfect - 20 minute walk to Broadway and the surrounding neighborhood has all sorts of bars, restaurants, coffee shops and shopping. It’s gives you a nice break from the craziness of Broadway. The staff was wonderful. Jai and Aros at the Valet stand were so helpful and made our arrival and departure easy! The restaurant in the lobby has a great breakfast and the coffee shop made great coffee. The room was clean, bed was comfortable and was a good size. I would definitely stay here again.
I had the most exceptional stay at the Thompson! The staff really made our time here something to remember. We were celebrating our anniversary and Kayla sent us a bottle of wine which was such a nice gesture! I cant wait to stay here every time I return to nashville!
Everything was fantastic. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The Thompson Suite was perfect for our needs.
They have a parking fee of 65 and then you will get an emailed copy of it with fees and taxes that make it over a 108 dollars. They never tell you this.
Great location in the Gulch. Excellent service and very nice updated property. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
Absolutely fantastic hotel with a warm welcome on arrival, staff were so accommodating and gave us anything we needed or asked for. Hotel is clean and has great facilities. It’s in a fantastic location also around a 15 minute walk to broadway. I will most certainly be back.
These guys are fantastic, not only is the hotel always great in every way but the staff is some of the most detailed oriented hospitable and incredibly well trained for customer service detail. Concierge named Greyson went above and beyond for us. No request was too small or large with a smile. This is how you do customer service.
Great location, beautiful hotel, helpful team members. Was a very good use of our Amex hotel credit with upgrades. Definitely recommend
I would highly recommend this hotel great location, staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful and the rooms were immaculate and very spacious. Thorough cleaning took place every day and we received anything we asked for . The food was also amazing with great options to chose from . I will definitely be back to stay in this wonderful hotel
Beautiful Place. Great Staff. Loved our time with Eli at the bar and Lexi and Kaveed were extremely professional, friendly and most importantly helpful in meeting our needs.
Thompson is located in a very walkable area. The hotel also has a great restaurant and amazing rooftop bar. Overall I would recommend this hotel when visiting Nashville.
The Thompson Nashville has an unbeatable location. We loved being able to walk to great restaurants, shopping, and attractions, and always felt safe in the area. The highlights were the excellent valet and bell staff, who were friendly and welcoming, and the Killebrew staff, who served creative, delicious drinks. Our corner city-view room was beautifully designed with amazing views. Unfortunately, the hotel didn’t live up to its luxury boutique branding. The front desk staff were not especially warm or attentive, and the property showed noticeable wear, including stained hallway carpets, worn elevator floors, and a musty smell. Our biggest issue was the air conditioning. Although maintenance responded quickly and was very helpful, the room never cooled properly, likely due to poor airflow. We had to keep the curtains closed to reduce the heat, which took away from the beautiful corner-room view. Also, if you’re sensitive to noise, avoid higher floors near the rooftop bar. We stayed on the 9th floor and could hear the music and activity until the bar closed each night. Overall, it’s a good hotel with a fantastic location and some wonderful staff, but it falls short of the luxury boutique experience it advertises.
We had an amazing stay at Thompson Nashville! The hotel was beautiful, very clean, and the rooms were comfortable. The location was perfect, and everyone made us feel welcome. A special thank you to Kaveed at the front desk. He was incredibly kind, professional, and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. His outstanding customer service truly made our stay even more enjoyable. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel!
I had an outstanding experience at The Thompson. From start to finish, the level of service exceeded my expectations. Aros and Karos were absolutely exceptional. They were professional, attentive, friendly, and genuinely went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect.
My friends and I had a wonderful time at the Thompson Nashville! The hotel itself is clean, up to date, has well proportioned rooms and excellent staff. There is one staff member that particularly stood out his name is Kaveed. His professional, warm and friendly demeanor absolutely made our overall stay more pleasant! He always was willing to help with any questions we had about the room or Nashville in general. I would absolutely recommend the hotel and if I come back to Nashville would stay again. There is also a rooftop that has nice views of Nashville. The area itself is outside of the more busy Nashville tourist area and has many stores and restaurants in very close proximity.
Great location, close enough you can walk to Broadway/uber in as little as 10 mins but away from the craziness that can be Broadway. The hotel was beautifully designed and clean. Great attitude and service by employees, especially Diego at Valet and Lexi at reception. Lexi was amazing and made sure the stay was great start to finish.
The Thompson Nashville is in The Gulch area of Nashville. A great, clean area with lots of dining, shipping and fitness available. Hotel rooms are clean and pristine. Lobby area is great for working away from the hotel room. Dining options are very nice but some like the coffee shop and rooftop have limited views. I enjoyed drinks at Marsh House bar and the breakfast as well. Breakfast potatoes are some of the best I've ever had. But warning, they appear to use powdered eggs. Fine for scrambled eggs but not when you order an omelette and it appears as a yellow plastic crepe --not appealing. Overall, a great place to stay.
Overall slightly disappointing. The room was tired and in need of replacement furniture and maintenance. The a/c was subpar- a real issue in Nashville. The shower pressure was terrific but the bath towels are small and old. The housekeeping did a good job but left a pungent mildew smell that lasted for hours after mopping. Not what I expect for a hotel that bills itself as luxury. Terrific location with a great rooftop bar. Expect noise if you are in a room facing 11th. Staff was variable- some helpful and some rude/disinterested.
Kaveed at the front desk was fantastic
Stayed here as part of my solo birthday trip to Nashville. Staff was very helpful and friendly upon arrival. I stayed in the executive suite and it was lovely, even had a chocolate chunk cookie from Killebrew Coffee waiting as a birthday treat! Having a record player with music options was also a nice touch. I could play records and eat my breakfast while looking out the floor to ceiling windows. The location of the hotel in the Gulch was great too. Very walkable with lots of places to dine and shop around it. Will stay here again!
We checked into the hotel on the 18th around 3pm the team was absolutely amazing. Lexi Kaley and Kaveed were the sweetest people. We were traveling with our rescue pup Amber and they showed him the love. Rooms were clean service top notch. Would highly recommend.
GABR WAS INCREDIBLE AT VALET! Fox Sports really appreciates him.
Gabe has been outstanding! Such a pleasure early in the morning and service with a smile!
Lexi, Layla and Kaveed greeted us with open arms at The Thompson . We are traveling with our 6 year old toy poodle Little Abner and they fell in love with him. Thank You so much for the hospitality and we will see you again. Michele & Keith V
La ubicación y el buen trato del personal
I loved the location. The gulch area is nice and the restaurant had a great breakfast. Room was nice and lived the rooftop.
Nothing I loved it.

They discontinued late check out
We got helped by Aros and Karos at the valet. They were great and took great care of our luggage. Nice hotel
It's been too long, however, I stayed there for work a few months ago and Kim at the front desk have it extra special. She helped with the check in, got our shoes polished, and then found us on the roof for lunch to give us our keys so we wouldn't have to come back down. Thank you!!
We had a wonderful stay at Thompson Nashville and felt genuinely well taken care of from start to finish. The staff were kind, helpful, and gracious, especially when we had travel delays and questions about our late checkout and Hyatt Globalist benefits. Everything was handled warmly and easily, which made the stay feel relaxed from the moment we arrived. The location in The Gulch is excellent. We parked the car for the weekend and never needed to take it out — restaurants, coffee, shops, and great Nashville strolling were all right nearby. The neighborhood felt clean, casual, friendly, and very easy to enjoy on foot. The hotel was also fantastic with our Shetland Sheepdog, Kingsley. Thompson Nashville is pet-friendly, and the surrounding Gulch neighborhood made dog walks simple and pleasant. That made a huge difference for us. We also loved having so much right in the hotel. Marsh House downstairs was a great breakfast option, Killebrew Coffee made mornings easy, and the rooftop bar, L.A. Jackson, had beautiful views over The Gulch and downtown. The espresso ice cream on the rooftop was a fun little highlight — never a bad thing when dessert comes with a skyline.
It was well a maintained property with cordial staff. Right from checkin to checkout, the experience was sweat. Don’t miss LA on the roof top. Sure to stay here next time.
As a group we encountered multiple staff who audibly questioned whether we were actually guest staying at the property. The property and location itself were great but the staff interactions leave a definitive area for improvement.
Love this hotel!! We went with a group of friends for the rooftop. The drinks were delicious, great vibes and great service. Aros at valet was so on top of it. Great communication and remembered us immediately at the end of the night. Will definitely be returning!
This is a very nice hotel. Everyone was friendly and the service was amazing. Definitely a place I will be back to! Was an easy walk over to Broadway, also a nice rooftop bar.
Highly highly recommend!! Stayed here using my AMEX platinum benefit and was very satisfied with all the benefits that came with our stay. By far the best one we’ve stayed at using those benefits. I love the style of the hotel and the bed was super comfy!
We loved everything about the hotel! The service in the restaurant, bar and reception was outstanding. Paris and Kaweed at the front desk were amazing!
Loved the cocktails on the rooftop bar. Dinner at the Marsh was amazing. They even turned down the room for us. Walked to Broadway and had a great time.
Kaveri provided exceptional service
Very friendly staff. Nice lobby, bar and restaurant areas. Great location...away from the crazy but close enough to visit and enjoy. Neighborhood was great and easy to walk.
The staff was great and the hotel is very nice! Everyone is great to talk with and work with! The staff made our Nashville trip one to remember!
We’ve stayed at The Thompson in Nashville several times and it is our go to. The staff always provides the ultimate level of service with a great attitude. The location in the heart of the Gulch makes this hotel the perfect place to stay.
This is a beautiful hotel with very friendly staff. I’ve stayed at many Thompsons, and this one is gorgeous. Very nicely designed… with all the usual Thompson hallmarks, but somehow better. Delighted, for instance, to have sparkling and still bottle filling stations in the hall rather than bottles. There’s an actual glass door on the shower unlike the hotel in DC (a fave for other reasons, and the one I know best). Clawfoot tub. Record player (though my needle is broken). Welcome glass of sparkling wine. I could go on. Was lucky as a Hyatt Globalist to score a Thompson Suite upgrade on an award night, and it is huge and well-appointed. Spotlessly clean. Lovely amenities. So grateful for the experience. Wish I were staying more than one night. Excellent welcome at the front desk from Hayden after the extremely charming valet duo of Karos and Aros, who took great care of my truck, which has my motorcycle in the bed, my ramp, and my Yeti! Overheight and in need of extra care. It’s so nice to get to a hotel after an eight hour drive and feel so pleasantly surprised. I spend a lot of time in hotels throughout the year. I’m a little jaded. This one broke through. Already looking forward to my return. Now, to the bath!
Thompson Nashville delivers that familiar Thompson cool: the iconic scent, the clean intuitive lobby layout, and a room that is stylish without trying too hard. The location strikes a great balance as it’s close enough to Downtown to walk, yet set in a quieter pocket that gives you space to breathe. Check in was smooth, and once upstairs, the King room on the 10th floor felt spacious and comfortable, very much in line with Thompson’s understated luxury. Breakfast was a pleasant surprise with plenty of great options, and the cruffin is absolutely a must order — a croissant muffin hybrid that’s far better than it has any right to be. The rooftop bar is perfect around 5pm, when the vibe is relaxed and the views shine, before it shifts into its louder late night personality (unless that’s exactly what you’re after). Overall it was another example of why Thompson Hotels are my absolute favorite.
Overall very happy. Customer service was fantastic and property was great. Rooftop bar is a must visit. Staff was helpful with some lat minute changes.
The hotel is beautiful and in a great location. Easy to go out on foot to catch shows at the Station Inn and Rudy’s. Staff was really nice. One lady helped me so much when I lost my phone. Grayson was very helpful in planning my dining in experience one night.
The entire staff was very friendly and efficient. The property was clean and very enjoyable. We would definitely have another staycation at the Thompson!
I had an amazing stay at the Thompson Hotel! Kim and Kav went completely above and beyond to make it a great experience. They were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive from start to finish. I will definitely be coming back!
What a fantastic start to my birthday celebration! We arrived at the Thompson Nashville for a three-night stay and were greeted by Kaveed, the Front Office Supervisor, who immediately made us feel welcome. As first-time Hyatt Globalists checking in, we weren't sure what to expect, but Kaveed went above and beyond. He upgraded us to a gorgeous corner suite and made us feel genuinely appreciated as loyal Hyatt guests. The room is absolutely beautiful, and his warm, friendly service made our arrival and our stay even more special. Thank you, Kaveed, for helping make my birthday getaway one to remember!
My husband and I had a wonderful stay at the Thompson Nashville. After a long journey, we walked into the hotel and received one of the warmest welcomes we've ever experienced. I had mentioned when booking that our trip was to celebrate my husband's 40th birthday. On arrival, we were greeted with a glass of sparkling wine, a warm welcome, and two complimentary cocktails to enjoy at one of the hotel's bars. We booked a King Room with a city view, and it did not disappoint. Given how lively the hotel was and the fact that our room was only a few doors from the lift, we expected some noise but it was incredibly quiet throughout our stay. An added bonus was the "hydration station" just outside our room, where guests can fill their provided large glass bottle with still or sparkling water and grab individual bags of ice. It's the small touches that make a difference. When we entered our room, we were greeted by a beautiful view of the city, along with a handwritten card and a giant cookie from Killebrew, the hotel's café. The room itself was spotless and well designed. The only minor drawback was the lighting system. There wasn't a master switch by the bed, so each light had to be turned off individually, which was a little surprising given how modern the hotel is. We made good use of our cocktail voucher and visited the rooftop bar, L.A. Jackson. It has a fantastic atmosphere and as people move around throughout the evening, you're likely to find a great spot by the glass overlooking the city skyline. Each time we entered or left the hotel, we were warmly acknowledged by the front of house team. In the mornings, we enjoyed great coffee from Killebrew before heading out to explore Nashville. The hotel's location is fantastic, with many attractions and areas of interest within easy walking distance. We would absolutely stay here again. Thank you to the entire team for a wonderful stay. The service we received was great from start to finish. A special mention goes to Grayson, who looked after us before we head to the airport.
Nicola and Kimola were just fantastic people. I checked in a little heated over a discrepancy and they were very knowledgeable and patient and made my check in process quick, seamless, and ended my experience with a glass of Prosecco.
Great stay at the Thompson. Suite was fantastic with very comfortable bed. allowing for a great night's sleep. Great location in the Gulch and overall a wonderful stay. I stay often in Nashville and mostly at Hyatt properties. This was my second time at Thompson Hotel and I highly recommend it.
Great location and outstanding hotel. The room was great - nice amenities, bed/bedding/pillows - all first class; and the turntable was a nice touch. Just wish that the Bob Segar album had not been taken by a previous guest. The Concierge provide outstanding dining recommendations and the staff was very friendly and helpful Just wish the hotel had a pool
Excellent stay at a wonderful hotel. The location was perfect, and the coffee shop hits the spot in the a.m. before you make your way out into Nashville.
The location was perfect, so many great stores and restaurants near by
Carpets looked dirty or outdated
Location is great . We like the Gulch area a lot. We stayed here 3 other times. The staff could care less about you being a returning customer or going above any level to make you happy. We enjoy the Marsh restaurant. Rooms are nice and clean.
The hotel was amazing. From check in to check out the experience was great. The staff were excellent. Location was perfect! Food in Marsh House was great as was the bar LA Jackson on the roof and coffee in lobby at Killebrew's. Filtered water the hallways for all - first time I've ever experienced that!!
No complaints as all.
Stayed for business at the Thompson Nashville by Hyatt. Located in a great area downtown near restaurants. Great vibe, beautifully appointed, wonderful service. Highly recommended. I will be back, next time with my wife!
Nicola was amazing! This is our second time here and she has gone way and beyond to make sure we had the best time here. Thank you for the staff for all the great service but a special shout out to Nicola!
Good location for the Gulch. If you want to spend time listening to music on Broadway then there are closer hotels. B’way is a two mile walk. Atmosphere and room at the Thompson were both good. The initial deposit of $150 a night for “extras” on check-in was a bit toppy.
Traveled with my son and his dog. One night stay/stop as we drove across country. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left the staff was friendly, proactive and helpful. Traveling after a very long drive and with a dog we were thrilled and appreciative how comfortable and welcoming everyone was. Our room was beautiful and we were happy to have dinner in the restaurant, and able to have our dog with us on the patio. Great service and wonderful food. And the location is perfect walking to restaurants/shops and only 10 minutes to Broadway Ave and all the music. Terrific stay, we wish we could've stay another night to explore more. Highly Recommend.
Came in town for a graduation. I had fun and enjoyed myself..from the restaurant, to the rooftop, and valet. The front desk was a little rude. But the valet Aros and Karos were very polite and friendly! 9/10
Achei indelicado!
Great location in the midst of retail and restaurant district in The Gulch. Walkable to convention center and other Nashville destinations. The hotel offers a stylish boutique atmosphere. The rooms are modern and the overall vibe felt luxurious without being pretentious. The very firm mattress and flat pillows are not what I prefer. The staff was knowledgeable and helpful. Disappointing that the ground floor restaurant, Marsh House, closes at 9:00 pm on weekdays.
Thompson Nashville has a boutique, upscale feel and was a great way to see Nashville. It's in the Gulch, which is a little removed from downtown (a mile walk), but the neighborhood itself is funky, upscale and super trendy. The hotel was quiet, clean, and very comfortable, a great place to stay for 4 nights!
Overall the hotel was lovely and we had a great night's sleep with no issues. The location in the Gulch neighborhood is fantastic and makes it easy to explore the city.
The hotel advertises a rooftop bar as an amenity, but at check-in, we were told it "gets long lines" and were directed to just use the lobby bar instead. That feels like false advertising. There is also no pool, which feels like a significant oversight for a hotel in a city like Nashville. On top of that, there is no outdoor space for guests at all. When the rooftop bar is closed, guests cannot access the roof, even just to sit and relax. At the very least, the hotel should allow guests up there with a book, even if the bar itself is not in service.
Karos was amazing and very helpful! We truly enjoyed talking to him and he was very helpful about places to go in Nashville.
from the receptionist to the bell boy and especially the valet everyone was so helpful and forthcoming the room itself was very clean and modern would decently reign again .........................
Lovely bathroom and room size with amenities
Some noise in the room - could be sound proofed
Everything was great until we went to bed. The pillows are like mush and not firm at all and the toilet made noise all night.
Don't waste your time. The lobby is classy and the personnel are efficient and nice but the rooms are total garbage (why I am giving a 2 and not lower). The floor was chipped as were the side tables. Cheapest furniture in a hotel room I have ever stayed out, especially for $600 plus a night. I will not be returning as there are more options in Nashville for those prices. very disappointed when I was trying to give my wife a great get away and we had in such a baron ugly room.
This hotel is a 10. Located in the Gulch, friendly staff, beautiful hotel and convenient to lots of shops and restaurants. Able to walk to Broadway too!
Great hotel, very clean and comfortable. Would recommend.
beautiful property with a great overall atmosphere and attention to detail. The design is modern and inviting, and everything feels thoughtfully curated. The rooms are comfortable and well-appointed, making it easy to relax and enjoy your stay. What truly sets this hotel apart is the staff—professional, warm, and consistently attentive without being overbearing. Their level of service elevated the entire experience. I would absolutely stay here again and look forward to returning.
I loved Thompson Nashville. I'd go back. I shared a few minor suggestions with them but it was a great experience overall.
Everything from start to finish here was awesome! Staff, food, drinks and room was wonderful! It’s a bit of a walk to Broadway but the peace and quiet was priceless and just a 5 minute UBER or Lyft away!
Refined luxury hospitality product. Room and hotel were excellent—clean, intentional, boutique feel throughout. Service was even better. Naveed at the front desk… all-time great. Little details stood out—like the sparkling water tap in the hallway and glass containers in the room. Simple, thoughtful touches that make a difference instead of pushing overpriced bottled water. Can’t recommend this place enough.
Hotel was cleaned and nice, very helpful from concierge to doorman. The only one we do not like is no fridge and no microwave in rooms so beware of that. Overall nice property
The Thompson Nashville has a Boutique feel, large comfortable rooms, a great bed, excellent breakfast facilities and a fabulous rooftop bar. The location is great easily walkable to many restaurants and bars, as well as shopping. a pleasant 3 or 4 block walk to Broadway . Hotel was quiet, except in the lobby in the morning, mostly do to the popular coffee shop. The place was clean and well maintained with excellent service. I think is a great value for the money.
Lovely hotel. Clean. Beautiful. Staff very nice!
