Friendly happy chatty staff and more than helpful. Beat location in the town. Lovely rooms and a great breakfast!
Nothing not to like
Our twin- bedded room and the wonderful breakfast. The loan of an umbrella! The use of a parking space for 24 hours.
Nothing except perhaps that we weren't staying longer.
Good but could have been warmer
Bit of a clime to the rooms
Excellent facility and staff

The room was fantastic - large, quiet and clean. Amazing views over Derwent water The breakfast was excellent - amazing service and we were very well looked after Thankyou
Nothing - all good
Breakfast staff room
Just too meny steps for us but that was my fault when booking bar was disappointing expensive
Location was excellent, breakfast was very good and friendly and helpful staff.
Could have been more information in room ie tourist information,
Centrally located.
Had to pay for parking
Very dated. Not a buffet breakfast. Small room and stuffy. Average bed. Shower room tiny Staff were friendly enough No storage for luggage
See above
Very friendly staff. Great location.
Top floor - too many steps.
Breakfast was excellent, served by extremely efficient and welcoming staff; and our table was in the best spot: right in the bay window looking out over derwentwater and the golf course.
I can’t fault anything but a useful upgrade would be to have a plug socket with built in usb for charging(cheap upgrade), and the tv was a bit small (not so cheap upgrade).
Location.
The hotel is really well situated. The views are stunning. All the staff were friendly. The breakfast was great.
This hotel is in a beautiful location and the views of the lake are glorious. The service is excellent, especially at breakfast which was of a good standard- especially the cooked breakfast options. Everything is super clean and well presented - it looks like it has been recently redecorated.
The pillows are a little too firm although the bed itself is super comfy with lovely soft bedding. There’s also a slight smell of paint/wallpaper paste in the room that was hard to air out even with the window open. If it has been redecorated recently I’m sure that’ll improve but some room fragrance meanwhile would be good. Also be good to get rid of small single use plastic bottles of shampoo and put refillable ones in.
Sehr gute Lage
The room was very well maintained, clean and tidy. The hotel was the same. The staff were very friendly. Breakfast was made to order and a table service was provided. Spot on really. Location was less than a 5 min walk to the town centre
Parking was tight but manageable.
Nice staff excellent breakfast
What a lovely and wholesome experience. The staff was lovely, the view fantastic and location was perfect (easy to go hike near Buttermere through beautiful country roads). Breakfast was impressive too - great options with local produce. The grill and the salmon and scrambled eggs tasted so great and they offer you some toast and fruit, juice, coffee and tea. Breakfast comes out super quick and the staff are chatty, friendly, helpful and keep filling up your coffee if it’s running low! The view from breakfast is lovely too.
Perfect location-5 mins away from the town centre Few minutes walk from the lake & boat port Affordable private car park Friendly & very helpful staff Amazing breakfast Lovely mountain view
Fan weren’t available in the room & it was a bit hot & sweaty night.
Friendly, lovely room, spotlessly clean, delicious breakfast. Parking very convenient too.
Nothing- it was great
Friendly and helpful staff Great location Comfortable beds Tasty breakfast
Portion quite small for breakfast and no veggie sausages. It was tasty though
Beds were very comfortable, great idea with the back door key for late arrivals. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming as they would talk to you about what you’re doing or where you are going. Breakfast was very good and had a good selection of breakfast items. Overall the staff made the stay amazing.
Great location and great staff breakfast was excellent
Bloody stairs
Everything was excellent.
?
location, views, comfort
no lift to 3rd floor
Staff very Friendly and helpful, breakfast was Lovely , nice room great view.
Unfortunately, when booking i forgot to ask for lower floor, my husband has Osteoarthritis in both knees, we were on the Top floor so did struggle going up and down, as no lift. Only negative, i will remember to ask in future
Very handy for the centre of Keswick, very clean, spacious rooms, comfy beds, helpful and friendly staff, reasonably priced. Would stay there again.
Nothing
I didn’t know they charge a parking lot at £5 We parked along the street. Male Staff didn’t smile when checked in or asked someone
Bed A room on 4 th floor and I have a walking problem
Great Location, Views, Staff and Breakfast.

We loved the location. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good.
We were on the third floor which for us both was a bit of a plod each time. The room was small but adequate. Some cobwebs on the roof! Over all we were content with the room and much fitter after our stay. 😀
Very good breakfast
Cleaning staff not very thorough.
Great location close to Keswick town centre and meters from Hope Park, a spectacular Skiddaw view from the window, spotlessly clean bathroom with easy to operate shower, promptly served breakfast with many menu choices, check in from 1:30pm. I liked the trad vibe of the hotel while lack of lift and imperfect soundproofing of the older building were not a problem for me.
Just to mention bathroom hooks and WiFi with less frequent re-auth would make the stay 10/10 for me.
It's situated in an area of Keswiwe like to stay in as other B &B now closed will stay here again.
1st day breakfast was a little disorganised but was fine other days
Perfect location, half way between bus terminus and the Derwentwater Lake launch jetty. Very friendly, helpful staff, clean rooms with nice thick towels, good views, excellent breakfast choices with table service!
As an elderly person who wanted to enjoy the views from the upper floors there was no lift so quite tiring walking up three flights of stairs with bags. Also I would have liked some kind of bar you could hold onto in the shower as my balance is not great.
Really well maintained and managed.
The stairs up to rooms were a problem which I’m sure the management realise and I appreciate it wouldn’t be practical to change this. My only suggestion would be to provide better handrails on the stairs outside leading up to the hotel entrance.
Great location Lovely views ( if Lake facing ) Staff wonderful
Nothing really if pushed maybe abit dated ?
Good location & easy parking. No fuss, easy check-in.
The scrambled eggs- they were almost liquid!
Location Family run
Location
Dated
From location, food, room to staff everything was first class
Nothing
Fantastic location for Derwent water and Main Street Keswick Mountain View and Derwent water view from our window. Very helpful member of staff on departure about walk up Catbells. Wonderful breakfast. Very comfy bed plenty of storage too.
This is nit picking but at price paid for room ( double) think the obligatory 2 packets of biscuits could have been provided. Also most hotels and even bars/ restaurants ( in loos) have hand soap and moisturiser in the pump bottles of a lovely product, and body wash/ shampoo in a basket attached in shower. The ones provided were small plastic bottles ( not environmentally friendly) and not what I’d of expected. As I say not a problem or affected my stay just the only two things I didn’t like as such.
Friendly professional staff, lovely room, comfortable beds, well decorated, great breakfast, great views, very close to town centre, lake and park. We didn’t drive but the free guest parking an added bonus.
A lift to the 2nd and 3rd floors would have been helpful. Mum found stairs hard going and was difficult getting luggage up the stairs. Also a towel rail and a shelf or hook in the bathroom to hang clothes when having a shower.
Nothing much .. not suitable for seniors
Shower was not hygiene clean .. TV didn’t work
Breathtaking views and location.
Good Room. Pretty standard. Lovely location. Breakfast was fine
No decaf tea at breakfast which is unusual these days
Perfect area, great parking, comfortable beds, beautiful seat outside and the views are perfect from it
Nothing
Everything. Location staff food the view.

Excellent location with lake and Mountain Views. Staff were very friendly and helpful . The hotel was spotlessly clean and breakfast was excellent .
Our room was without any view so quite dark . It was quite pricey considering its location .
Location and great breakfast and great service and friendly staff
Nowhere to sit outside and bar wasn’t open
The hotel is conveniently located close to both the town center and the lakeside. The breakfast was delicious.
The room overlooked the backyard and the parking lot rather than the mountains. The hotel's furnishings were not elegant or full of character, but simply outdated. There was no terrace or guest lounge. Although the hotel is advertised as being on the lakeside, you cannot even see the lake from the property. There is no elevator, so you have to carry your luggage upstairs. The shower only has a fixed overhead showerhead, with no handheld shower.
All staff were friendly and helpful. The room had a wonderful view and was very comfortable. Breakfasts were great. Very efficient table service. The hotel was in a quiet location with no disturbing noise at night. The car park was an added bonus in traffic choked keswick.
Location was perfect, staff were friendly .
The staff were really nice here. One man working gave us great recommendations for a hike to go on and we really enjoyed it. Wonderful breakfast and views from the hotel. Would definitely recommend 😊
Nothing
Location was central and easy access to all that we wanted to do. Our room was very comfortable with an amazing view. There was a good selection at breakfast, very tasty and well presented.
Maybe a better selection of cold non alcoholic drinks at the bar.
The view of the mountains and water from our window was unbelievable. Truly the best view we've ever had at a stay, and we travel a fair amount. The room was comfortable and clean, and the staff friendly.
Nothing. A terrific hotel.
At any moment you expect Polly to come around the corner, Basil to be standing behind the reception desk, and Manuel to be serving breakfast. Fawlty Towers is alive and well in this beautiful 1890 building—with one important difference: the service is excellent.
The room was on the third floor, and there's no lift. Something to keep in mind if you're travelling with heavy luggage or have limited mobility.
Great position.
The staff were great, coffee and sausages let the breakfast down.
Location to town, parking opportunities, comfortable, friendly staff and great breakfast.
Not much. Bathroom/shower of room 26 could do with an upgrade. Hook the door for towels maybe.
We’ve stayed at Crow twice before and we’ve always really liked the hotel. Generally good rooms with decent space. It’s an excellent location and a great breakfast. Parking is also good.
Our room this time was ok but I didn’t like the ‘no view’ looked out into an ally and didn’t like being on the ground floor right next to reception.
mountain view from the room - amazing to watch the sun come up.It was hot and we had a small fan in the room. We propped the sash window open with the waste bin to help catch the breeze.Location was excellent - front and back of the hotel.Breakfast - really good varied choice on the menu. Nicely cooked and presented and very friendly, helpful staff gave us a good start to the day. There were enough electric sockets to keep our devices charged and useable. Shower worked well and the towels supplied were soft. We always use our own toiletries. Short walk to the Centre and eateries.
We were on the top floor. We knew there wasn't a lift and thought we would be fit to manage (ages 70+) -the heat didn't help but the chair on the landings allowed a short rest before continuing to the top. Sash window didn't stay open without assistance. '
Great Location , staff friendly, great breakfast, very clean,
Breakfast
Friendly staff, table service at breakfast. Well appointed room.
We should have asked for a room on a lower floor. My husband found the stairs difficult.
The ambience, the view, cleanliness, politeness and good service of the staff.
I think there were not enough facilities to hang our clothes or jacket or towels in the room and bathroom.
View fantastic. Service excellent
Disappointed that there was no evening meal
Location was excellent.Quiet with great views Staff were friendly and efficient
Toiletries
Staff were very pleasant and helpful. The location is outstanding.
The lack of a flexible shower (it was fixed to a wall) or a bath caused us an issue (we need a foible shower or bath for medical reasons).
Clean, great location, nice breakfast, staff are great
Was very difficult to get out of carpark
Superb breakfast and service. Perfect location for town
Telly was a bit small if your eyes are as old as mine !
Breakfast & location
The room could have been well maintained
Nice location, easy walking to the restaurants and Lake. Great breakfast!
Lovely location, walking easily into Keswick town and to the lake for the Keswick launch. Delicious breakfast.
Nothing
Good location, lovely room & friendly staff
All good
Excellent location, I believe all rooms facing lake-garden with breathtaking view. Entrance is very beautiful. Entire town is very small and every place is few min walk from hotel. Room with adequate space and decent bathroom. Comfortable bed. Excellent and helpful staff. Breakfast was like restaurant style and very nice.
Nothing to complain
Great location, lovely room with great views and great breakfast
Excellent breakfast served by very friendly staff
The stairs but only because I have knee problems
Great location
During such a heat wave, some bottled water and a fan in the room would have been appreciated
In a super location for what we were doing. Bonus of having a car park
One person on crutches & no offer of help with our luggage. Very hit & couldn’t get our window to stay open.
Location
Location, good staff
Could have a Dan in the room for when it is hot, or at least open the windows snd draw the curtain
We were very happy with the facilities and location of this hotel. The location was facing a golf course and was a quick walk to the lake, which had a wonderful paved walking path around it. It was also a quick walk into the center for shopping or dining. The reception staff were very friendly, and had good suggestions for driving up into the mountains. Breakfast was in a large dining area and was delicious.
All very good no complaints. No lift so had to lug the heavy suitcase up 4 flights of stairs. Parking great. Bed comfortable and you can come and go as you please.
A lift
Very friendly staff, superb location, clean and an excellent breakfast 👌
In a great location with great views over Derwentwater. Very convenient car parking at the rear of the hotel. Very comfortable room and an excellent breakfast. All staff were very friendly and helpful.
Absolutely nothing to dislike about this property.
Excellent location and views
1. The room smelled musty and the air quality was awful. 2. Room was dusty 3. Pillows were lumpy and uncomfortable 4 . At 9.30 we were told breakfast had already finished. 5. Very pricey for such an uncomfortable room
Just a one-night stay on way home from Scotland, but really pleasant and comfortable, on edge of Keswick town and next to lovely park. Setting wonderful. Parking easy.
The location is great beautiful view from our window. Breakfast and staff was great 10/10. Smoked salmon and egg 😊 Parking great.
No lift. Rooms can be up to 3 floors. Not recommended for elderly or disabled requiring baggage handling assistance. Fridge in room required
Fantastic view of the fells! Lovely breakfast. Rooms are traditional but adequate. Shower was excellent. Good service too with friendly staff. Would stay again.
Central location
Could do with some hooks to hang up coats etc & hooks in the bathroom too!
Staff were exceptional. Limited facilities but (for me) not a problem Breakfast services and food were excellent
I found the parking a bit awkward seemed to be hidden at the back. But the town has limited space
Great location, great breakfast.
Didn't think it was particularly good value for money. However, most hotels in Lake District at this time of year pretty much the same.
Room was not fancy but was adequate and was what I had expected for a hotel of this type. It had a lovely view and was in an excellent location within easy walking distance of the town and all local amenities. Plenty of parking spaces available. The staff were all very friendly and happy to chat and offer advice . Breakfast was also very good.
There was no lift, but I would expect that they’d struggle to get planning permission to fit one to a period building.
Lovely breakfast, staff very pleasant and polite, room clean - decor maybe a bit dated but very clean and the shower was brilliant
not having to pay £6 per night parking - if you booked direct it was free!!
Location , very friendly and helpful staff Excellent breakfast
Very small window in bedroom and bathroom lacked a shelf
So helpful
Price but it’s the Lake District
