The interior was spot on. Beds really comfy, spacious. Brilliant

No cups to accommodate any young kids There were wasps present and stung my youngest but ive informed the owner of this and should be dealt with. 4pm check in.

This might be me, but it didn't feel quite safe to walk from the property to Bowness due to lack of pavement on roads, I would say travelling by car is indispensable

Everything was good - Location, setting, deco, cleanliness, neighbours - everything was as expected from the details online - checkin / checkout was easy - all the info was provided in an email prior to arrival - The stay was perfect!!

The Hob wasn’t working (same as the one we have at home) which was annoying and the hairdryer was missing

Fair Rigg at Cradle House was a lovely experience for our family. When we arrived, everything was in good condition. The kitchen and bathroom were well-equipped, as were the rooms. It was also well-located.

Confusion in stocking adequate Nespresso pods and would have been nice to have portable handy during a heatwave.

Great 2 bed apartment and on ground floor so great with people with mobility problems. Double sofa bed so sleeps 6. Car parking and dog friendly. Super comfy beds. Well kitted out kitchen.Doggie welcome pack which is a lovely touch. Easy to get to Bowness & Windermere. We managed to pay extra for early check in late check out which was great. Fab stay. Thanks

The very comfortable bed and an excellent shower

Unable to walk to Bo’ness as there was no pavements for a large section of the route which could be perceived as dangerous. We would urge the owners to perhaps have a look at the basement property as it really is in need of a bit of TLC which I can only assume they are not aware of.( doors chipped, skirting boards in poor decor They certainly were available when we called contacted them and acted promptly but the lack of hot water at times was very frustrating

Beautifully decorated, comfortable bed & high quality linen. Well equipped with tea, coffee, nespresso machine, crockery etc.

Very noisy, no sound proofing from other apartments or outside as single glazed. No welcome pack or milk left, not enough toiletries for whole stay. Fire alarm control panel beeping for 50% of our stay, only after informing owner did we find out they were already aware but hadn’t communicated with us how to silence it, which only worked for short periods. Walk into town involves narrow road with no pavement so impossible in the dark.

Everything, whole process and apartment was spot on.

Room was cold on arrival and was a lot further out of Bowness than we had expected.

Cleanliness and High quality of finishing though out the property all added up to a really enjoyable stay ..would highly recommend.

It was very clean and really roomy great facilities, very comfortable bed such that I’ve ordered the same mattress 👌🏼😎. Craig is a great host and really helpful we parked at the property early which was great as we went out around bowness which I highly recommend.

Perfect location, gorgeous interior and extremely comfy bed! Thoroughly enjoyed the digital guest book and instructions. It was thought through.

We went as a family group and all of us enjoyed the stay and wished we were there for longer than 1 night.

The location was very convenient from the town center and the property itself was immaculate

Would have appreciated it if the 2 hr checkout extension till noon was offered at the time of booking or soon after. I got an email on the night of the stay offering the optional extension, which I took. But the next morning it was cancelled, which caused some inconvenience.

It was one of the most disappointing experiences we’ve ever had. The milk left for us was sour and gave my mother a stomach ache. The place didn’t feel properly cleaned, and the bedding triggered my husband’s hay fever so badly that he sneezed through the night. The low point came the next day. On our way back, the host started sending us messages demanding we return a couple of toilet rolls we had taken for the journey, and even accused us of taking a tiny glass milk bottle worth about 50p. In fact, the sour bottle was already in the kitchen bin. For the price we paid, this kind of shabby, petty behaviour was unbelievable. Overall, the stay left us with nothing but stress and discomfort. Spoilt milk, spoilt night, and a spoilt impression — we would not recommend this place to anyone.

The place was really nice, clean, well-equipped, and overall excellent.

The only minor issue was the double sofa bed, which wasn’t very comfortable.

An excellent roomy, modern, well presented, and well kept property. Ideal to use as a base for Lakeland incursions on the local populous. Everything about the facilties at the property were perfect. The host was excellent, friendly, and onhand as required.

Clean, comfortable, cosy & well equipped for our short Lake District weekend getaway. Great location too as it only takes 2mins by car to Windermere Lake.

The sofa bed dipped a bit in the middle but manageable nonetheless. A lot of rules/instructions but nothing too serious.

One of the best place that I have ever stayed. The place is very clean and well-managed. Craig is super helpful and accomodating. Definitely will stay here again when I visit Windermere.

Pet friendly (goodies for our puppy), great nights stay, very comfortable bed, spacious room, bathroom heated flooring, location 5min walk to Lake Windermere.

The parking numbers needed to be more highlighted as was unsure on which spot to park in, but own assured us that this was in progress of getting re-painted.

The location was excellent and just a short walk in to Bowness.

We have no complaints about the accommodation.

We had really comfortable and relaxing stay, the bed was comfy, the kitchen had everything that you would need, we met the host on the day we arrived and he was really friendly and gave us some tips on easy routes into Windermere etc. The property is lovely and clean. Our dog loved the treat pack and we thought that was a really nice touch, also the essentials like milk in the fridge for your arrival were really nice.

Very easy and informative information handed over before stay to make it nice and simple.

The pull out bed was really uncomfortable, we kept rolling into the middle of it and the carpet under the bed as I dropped my phone and went underneath was thick with dust, not really a problem for us but some might have an issue with it and best to give any feedback. The step outside the room was really icy we nearly slipped over a couple of times.

Couple of minor imperfections - ie broken handle. Took the edge off the “luxury” element advertised . Walls extremely thin could hear neighbours conversation very clear. Expensive.

Sofa bed in living room wasn’t very comfortable and the emergency lighting meant the room was quite light throughout the night. You might also need to unblock the shower tray as it didn’t drain well?

Place is nice and clean. Good facility. Close to the lake. Happy overall. Even the sofa bed was comfortable enough although wouldn't recommend using it more than couple of nights. Glad there was extra duvet and sheets.

Not a big deal but wish the kitchen was a bit bigger or had more counter top area.

LOVED the decor and presentation! Easy access and parking. Nice walk into a beautiful little village.

Only thing was that it was a surprisingly busy/noisy intersection, especially in the morning. Kitchen was fantastic but couldn't find any plates? Don't know if it was just me?!

The property is in an ideal location just a short walk to Bowness and it’s beautifully decorated with a very comfy bed for a good nights sleep, had everything we needed for our stay and it was immaculately clean

We all liked everything! The owners were amazing. Only thing we would say, is that the junction out is a bit awkward and maybe would benefit from a mirror to see up the road to the right?

Nothing really other than we chose the weekend the road immediately outside was being dug up and replaced overnight they didn’t turn off the diggers until 3am! We made the most noise f it and sat up chatting

House is very cozy and so nice decorated. Beds are so comfortable and big, we loved every single thing about it. Kitchen is very handy and have everything you need if you think of cooking there.

A beautiful place to stay! Pictures do not do it justice, it is so big and clean. Everything you need for a trip away from home, we had the best time with friends and the kids. Keys easy to collect and and host available for any queries. Short walk into Bowness-On-Windermere and great walks around the area. We got taxis back on an evening and which were only around £5. We will be back and would recommend to all! Had the most fantastic time, thank you.
