Loved the atmosphere, being able to have coffee in the mornings in a community setting. Breakfast offered a variety of foods and the hotel having food available at all times like late night was appreciated. Nice to have a drink at the bar after a long day. Staff was excellent, attentive, social and made sure you were taken care of. Very cool to see the variety of ages of people staying at such a unique hotel. Decor was awesome

I would have preferred a room on the highest floor Although not the fault of the hotel, the guests staying above and around my room had no concept of walking quietly or not slamming doors. I did request a higher floor room that is usually quieter and the hotel did accommodate, however, since there is no carpeting on the floors - which I am fine with - people walking back and forth is obvious. Those staying above my room clearly did not have any concept or regard for those around/below them. Again not the fault of the hotel.

In a great area and the atmosphere was great. Beds were comfortable and large. Loved the blackout curtains and night light features.

Half of the light switches didn’t work in the room. The only way to use the restroom at night was to turn on the entire rooms lights - with the IPad. Not ideal when you are trying not to disturb your partner. Bathroom smelled like sewage the entirety of our stay. We stayed in an accessible room and the shower tiles had stained grout.

The location was ok.

I can only describe it as tired and well worn. It wasn’t very clean and the towels had a really stale smell. The cleaning staff were rude when we were trying to get into a lift. There was room for the 2 of us but they told us to wait for the next one. I always thought that the guests came first but not here. We’ve stayed at the CitizenM at Southwark before and apart from the location it was much nicer.

Everything was great about this hotel. Such great value for money and in a great location.

Wir hatten den Wunsch geäußert ein zimmer in den oberen stockwerken zu bekommen, leider ergab die auswahl beim einchecken nur das 3. OG (von 9).

Frukosten var rätt dålig och det var små rum. Konstigt att handfatet var utanför toan och att det inte gick att stänga om sig på toan tillräckligt. Men annars ett bra boende. Betalade extra för att bo på en högre våning men bodde ändå bara på våning 6 av 9.

Super freundliches Personal. Alles sauber und vorhanden was man benötigt. Das Bett ist sehr gemütlich und die Zimmer sehr ruhig. Die Lage ist zudem einfach perfekt.

We always book Citizen M because of the lounge/bar facilities. Great spaces to meet with friends and get a coffee or drink.

Small rooms but probably perfect for solo travelers. We knew this going in but figured it is worth it for the great facilities and staff.

Two nights in a room with bad AC (set to 18c, resl temp was 27c), sweating constantly at night. Got a new room assigned on the third morning and on that third night the control systems were down hotel-wide, so I had to sleep elsewhere (out of property). The fourth night I woke up to a real fire alarm which was the cherry on top (no ones fault on this last one, but damn).

The location is amazing, super well connected and easy to get to. The customer service is really nice, there’s a bar and restaurant in the hotel too that are really handy.

The blackout blinds are not really blackout and during summer at 4 am you can see light everywhere in the room. The rooms are tiny, they have everything in them but tiny not much space to put your stuff and it is expensive for what you get really.

SOGGIORNO DA SOGNO! Abbiamo alloggiato al Citizen di Shoreditch per una settimana londinese e devo dire che il soggiorno ha superato le mie aspettative! La camera era fantastica, insonorizzata e totalmente digitale (le luci, la pulizia, la tv e la temperatura potevano essere controllate/decise tramite un Ipad dato in dotazione!). Avevamo il letto attaccato ad una gigante finestra; la vista non era bellissima ma comunque interessante. Ottima posizione (siete facilmente verso molti punti cardini della città anche solo a piedi. Ottimi mezzi di trasporto (di autobus ce ne sono tantissimi e a qualsiasi minuti) e zona molto tranquilla con locali/bar nelle immediate vicinanze. Insomma, ampiamente soddisfatta!

Sicuramente la mancanza di bidet e colazione un pò troppo cara (abbiamo scelto soluzioni fuori dall'Hotel). Inoltre le finestre non si possono aprire, per cui non c'è ricircolo di aria pulita se non tramite aria condizionata.

Sehr freundliches Personal, modern, unkompliziert, aufmerksam und verständnisvoll sowie zuverlässig. Relativ ruhig trotz recht zentraler Lage.

-Ein großes und echt gemütliches Bett, -das Licht, Fernseher, Rollos, Zimmerservice... konnte man mit dem Tablet steuern was super praktisch war -check in und out sehr schnell, Check Out war auch sehr früh möglich

-Man könnte das Fenster leider nicht Mal kippen und die Klimaanlage war deshalb auch die ganze Zeit an.

Temperature never seemed to get to 18 degrees although it said that on the control. Room felt a bit hot and stuffy.

Toffe lokatie van het hotel in de wijk Shoreditch, metro op 10 minuten lopen, bus voor de deur, veel uitgaansmogelijkheden en restaurants nabij. Een 24 uurs voorziening voor bar/ eten is ook fijn. En raadzaam is om een hoger gelegen kamer te nemen voor de uitzichten.

Het concept van een kamer zo breed als je bed blijft wat 3d schaken met je partner. Ik zou dit niet aanraden voor vrienden samen op één kamer of families, maar eerder voor stelletjes of reizigers alleen.

Location is great to go wherever you need to in London and Shoreditch is also by itself always a good idea. We have previously been to this hotel twice and we returned because a lot of things are really good here (the mattress, the double bed, the breakfast, location). Equally, this time, we have also been disappointed by certain aspects (not even a toothbrush holder for the sink, no kettle to warm up some water for a tea, significant increase in the price per night, quite a steep increase in the price per breakfast, too)

The property is centrally located and very well connected. Rooms are spacious by London standards. The staff at the hotel are very nice and helpful. Particularly Daliya who was really helpful.

The hotel advertises itself as having air conditioned rooms but in reality this is not the case. We were in London with temperatures of 30 degrees and more and we could cool down the room with a portable fan. At reception we were told there was no ac but simply ventilation

Das Bett war sehr groß und komfortabel, das Personal war sehr freundlich, kompetent und hilfsbereit. Die Smart-Option für das ganze Zimmer war eine super Sache und das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis war in mehreren Hinsichten (Lage, Ausstattung, Bedienung) überdurchschnittlich gut.

Wir hätten gerne einen Föhn im Zimmer und, dass das Zimmer etwas größer wäre.

Best hotel for a short stay. Beds are crazy-comfy!

The hotel has all the facilities you need, the staff are friendly and accommodating, plus the breakfast options are good. The cafe is a proper cafe not a usual machine coffee. I had their matcha which was nice. The staff were understanding when I needed a later check out due to not feeling well. The remote working options are great too

The only issue I had was I was trying to change my plans and the free cancellation option changed 2 hours too early. In the end I stayed with the booking. However my issue was they didn't honour the 23.59 watershed. Booking.com said it was the hotel, the hotel didn't seem to understand that they hadn't honoured the agreement.

Air conditioning was reasonably effective but I personally would have liked the room to be cooler. Room was smaller than I'd expected with the bed positioned along the window. A/C in the public areas was hit and miss.

J'avais demandé un étage élevé mais je ne l'ai pas eu... de plus j'ai sélectionné le coté "train" qui est normalement le coté avec les wagons sue le toit de l'immeuble, mais je me suis retrouvé sur les voies ferrées :( J'avais une bonne expérience de cet hôtel les fois précédentes mais je n'irais plus dans cet hôtel lors de mes futurs séjours.

I love that this chain of hotels has the same room set up for all of its locations. Feels familiar. Blackout blinds on the windows are so good for a tired traveller.

Clean, well organised rooms. Not big but decently sized for London. Friendly and helpful staff. The lounge area is stylish and enjoyable. Good breakfast options. Shoreditch is both lively and convenient to go to more central places (by bus or tube from Liverpool Street). This is our second time at CitizenM Shoreditch and we will definitely be back when in London.

The hotel was awesome. Absolutely loved the decor, the staff were all friendly and couldn’t do more to help, the room was very comfortable, clean and well maintained and the food was fantastic. Also, the breakfast was worth every penny we spent on it. We will definitely return xx

There honestly wasn’t a single thing I could fault.

Literally the first staff member I met upon arrival, while waiting for the elevator, looked at me and said: “I hate working here.” That pretty much summed up the entire experience. For over £400 a night this hotel is falling apart: * Two out of three elevators are completely broken. You regularly wait 5+ minutes for the single working one. I’m on the 8th floor — if that last elevator goes down, this place becomes chaos. * The air conditioning in the room is extremely weak and barely cools the space (I specifically chose this hotel because it advertised A/C). * Almost no signage — it’s confusing to even find the lobby when you arrive. The hotel is clearly in the middle of a messy transition to Marriott and the current management has completely given up. The staff knows it, and it shows. This is the worst hotel experience I’ve had in a long time in a developed country. Save your money and stay somewhere else.

Really liked the overall vibe of the hotel. The entrance looks great, especially the staircase and the lamps hanging above it. Check-in and check-out were really smooth. The room was on the smaller side, but it was a good size for a solo traveller. The bed was huge and really comfortable. The iPad-controlled room was a nice touch and very easy to use. I also liked being able to change the LED lighting to different colours.

The only small downside was that there were a few scratches and chips on some of the furniture in my room. It didn't affect my stay, but it was noticeable.
