Storms River Guest Lodge

Una struttura bellissima peccato essere stati soltanto una notte ! Posizione fantastica nel piccolo villaggio di Stormsrivier vicino alle attrazioni con comodo parcheggio. Stanza spaziosa , pulita e calda con le coperte elettriche. Colazione buonissima… forse tra le migliori fatte in Sudafrica non solo per la qualità ma anche nell’impiattamento con messaggi scritti dalla cuoca, personale molto gentile e amichevole… solo un rimpianto: essere stati solo una notte !

Excellent location, walkable to shops and restaurants. Room was very nice with good facilities. Staff were excellent, especially Lee-Ann and breakfast was lovely.

The bathroom was a little dated but very functional and there were lots of nice touches included.

Hele fijne locatie. Kamer was groot en schoon. Personeel zeer vriendelijk. Heerlijk ontbijtbuffet met diverse soorten fruit, yoghurt, musli, brood, beleg, muffins. Je kon ook nog kiezen voor eieren. Leuke tuin om in te zitten met vuurkorf. Ligt centraal voor alle activiteiten zoals zipline en op een kwartiertje rijden van Tjitsikamma gebergte.

Een ruime familiekamer, heel netjes en een lekker ontbijt. Stormsrivier was een beetje doods maar de omgeving ( Tsitsikamma natuurpark) is heel mooi.

Staff and owners were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The room was very spacious. The lodge is lovely. Wish we had stayed longer.

Auf unserem Garden-Route-Trip hatten wir bereits schon acht B&Bs besucht, aber nirgends war das Frühstück so phänomenal:Käse-&Wurstplatten, Toast und Brot, Pancakes, frisch gebackene Croissants, Muffins, etwas Süß-Gebackenes, zwei Joghurts, Kaffee, Tee, Saft, Obst, Marmelade, Nutella und die Möglichkeit, sich eine Ei-Speise frisch zubereiten zu lassen. Das Frühstück war wirklich phänomenal. Ebenso das Personal und Maria, die Gastgeberin, waren wahnsinnig freundlich und sehr hilfsbereit. Da haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Nun zu den Fakten: Das Zimmer ist groß, hat einen kleinen Kühlschrank, Wasserkocher, Kaffee&Tee, Duschzubehör, Ventilatoren bzw Heizung (da keine Klimaanlage vorhanden) und ein recht großes Bad. Insgesamt ist es eher rustikal eingerichtet. Mein absolutes Highlight sind die Heizdecken im Bett gewesen, da wir im Winter hier waren. Parken kann man direkt vor dem Haus in einem geschützten Gebiet. In wenigen Gehminuten sind verschiedene Restaurants verfügbar, von denen man auch,laut Maria, nachts sicher nach Hause laufen kann, da es in einem abgegrenzten Bereich liegt. WLAN war super, Strom stabil. Grillmöglichkeiten und Pool sind vorhanden. Es gibt Vorhänge, welche allerdings - was sehr gut zum Schlafen ist-richtig schön abdunkeln, da die Fenster direkt zum Ausenbereich hinaus gehen, in dem Gäste vorbeilaufen, ist die Privatsphäre bei geöffneten Vorhängen etwas eingeschränkt, daher hatten wir lieber die Vorhänge zu und Licht an. Insgesamt ein sehr schöner und herzlicher Aufenthalt bei Maria und Ihrem Team: Vielen Dank! <3

Lodge comodissimo per l’ingresso al parco nazionale dello Tsitsikamma, così come la possibilità di parcheggiare l’auto nella corte privata. Gli host sono gentilissimi, premurosi ed accoglienti. Le camere molto spaziose, luminose e confortevoli. Ricco buffet di colazione con possibilità di ordinare piatti caldi. Vicino alla struttura c’è un piccolo ristorante di cucina tipica molto intimo e con piatti deliziosi!

Ottima struttura in cui soggiornare. Praticamente attaccata allo Tsitsikamma natural Park. Camere ampie, confortevoli e struttura dotata di comodo parcheggio interno. Colazione sia a buffet sia alla carta. Un particolare ringraziamento alla cuoca Bokkie che ci ha servito una ottima colazione e alla gentile Lee-Ann che ci ha accolto con professionalità e cortesia. Assolutamente consigliato

Très bonne localisation et excellent accueil des propriétaires. On se sent comme chez nous avec une grande salle commune où on peut trouver des jeux et une cheminée pour passer une bonne soirée. Le petit déjeuner est absolument sensationnel. À deux pas de plusieurs Restaurants.

A agua quente do chuveiro do meu quarto acabou , e fomos informados que era dividido com o quarto do lado, e a familia tinha tomado banho antes. Rapidamente me ofereceram outro quarto para tomar banho. este foi o unico ponto negativo.

The room was a lovely size with very comfortable beds. Everything was very clean. There was a cosy fireplace next door to our room in the common lounge area. Although it was Winter, there were electric blankets on all the beds. The breakfast was substantial and included a delicious fruit salad. There was ample parking. The guesthouse is situated in a beautifully scenic forested area. The hosts were very friendly, on site and interacted with the guests.

The only improvement that I can think of would be to have bath sheets instead of bath towels and face cloths instead of the smaller towels.

Sehr freundliche Vermieterin. Direkt vor unserer Zimmertür war der Aufenthaltsraum, bei dem man auf andere Gäste trifft. Das fanden wir sehr angenehm. Unter anderem war dort auch ein Kamin, der eine wohlige Wärme ausstrahlte. Das Frühstück war sehr gut. Mehrere Restaurants zu Fuß erreichbar. Parkplatz vorhanden. Alles sehr sicher.

Boa localização, muito próximo ao parque Tsitsikamma e das atrações que queríamos visitar. Pessoal do hotel muito gentil e solícito. Há uma área comum com lareira, bebidas (como chá, chocolate quente de cortesia), além de jogos de tabuleiro. Quarto muito bom!

It was clean, updated facilities but most importantly the staff was incredible. From the moment we walked in we were welcomed. It was amazing!

The staff were lovely! The location was brilliant. The breakfast had a great range and the message on the plate was a really nice touch!

General ambience of the place was appealing, with its laidback air and beautiful building.

The bed was not comfortable. It was too soft. More importantly, the wash basin in the bathroom is kept on a slab which is quite high. For a person with average height, using the washbasin was a challenge. The commode was stained, apparently owing to past use of some chemical.

The layout of the common spaces was enjoyable. We enjoyed watching the fifa soccer matches while 2 other families came in, and chatted. They played Uno together. We all enjoyed the roaring fireplace.

Very friendly welcome by host Maria, and secure on site parking, in an easily accessible scenic location on the Garden Route. Generous size bedroom en suite with large shower, good heat and pressure. Very clean and crisp linen. Excellent breakfast supplied with fruit juice, fruit, cereal, cold and hot options. Great coffee to finish off! Highly recommended!

We had an excellent stay - friendly host, very good breakfast and we even had the chance to choose our room. The room was equipped with a heater and heating pads in the bed, we didn't experience that in any other accommodation.

Goede kamers met hele fijne bedden, uitstekend ontbijt en ontzettend behulpzaam personeel. Absolute aanrader voor een verblijf in Stormsrivier!

We really enjoyed our stay! Shevron was really helpful, kind and gentle! She is amazing! This was by far the best breakfast we had so far. Everything was clean and beautiful! They have a nice fireplace inside the house and outside! Location is good, 10 min drive from Tsitsikamma NP.

Wir hatten ein wunderschönes Zimmer mit Mittagssonne. Es war herrlich sehr ruhig und ein wunderbares Frühstück. Da wir sehr früh abgereist sind haben wir ein wundervolles Frühstücken to go bekommen. Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit dem Aufenthalt.

Todo fue perfecto. El alojamiento estaba impecable, súper limpio, muy cómodo y cuidado al detalle. La casa es estupenda!! Una lástima no poder disfrutar más días. Un espacio de lujo! El personal fue muy amable y atento en todo momento, haciéndonos sentir como en casa. Nos dieron recomendaciones muy acertadas para comer y visitar por la zona. Die Lodge war traumhaft schön. Unser Zimmer war sehr groß. Am Abend wurde im Garten sogar Lagerfeuer gemacht. An einem Abend hat eine liebe Mitarbeiterin zu Abend gekocht, da viele Gäste da waren. Das Essen war unglaublich lecker! Für den nächsten Abend wurden uns dann alle Möglichkeiten im Ort genannt. In diesem kleinen Ort gibt es viele Essens Möglichkeiten! Man hat sich dort sehr sicher gefühlt! Zum Tsitsikamma Nationalpark hat man mit dem Auto nur noch ca. 15 Minuten benötigt. Perfekte Lage. Alle Mitarbeiter waren super lieb.

Wir hatten einen rundum gelungenen Aufenthalt und fanden die Unterkunft super für eine Übernachtung im Tsitsikamma Nationalpark. Das Restaurant „Taste“ direkt um die Ecke und nur wenige Meter zu Fuß können wir auch sehr empfehlen!

Unser Aufenthalt war rundum perfekt. Die Besitzerin war unglaublich herzlich, hilfsbereit und hat sich wirklich Zeit für ihre Gäste genommen. Auch das gesamte Personal war jederzeit freundlich und aufmerksam. Alles war sehr sauber und man hat sich sofort wohlgefühlt. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir die tollen Tipps für Unternehmungen – die Empfehlungen der Eigentümerin waren außergewöhnlich. Dank ihr haben wir mit Nature’s Valley den für uns schönsten Platz der Welt entdeckt. Dafür nochmals ein großes Dankeschön! Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

Despite the severe weather, Maria, the owner, went out of her way to make sure every guest felt welcomed, comfortable, and well informed as conditions changed. Our room was warm, well prepared, and ready for our arrival. The lodge and grounds were beautifully maintained, and the buffet-style breakfast was a lovely start to the day.

Très joli cadre ,beau jardin ,agréable de se poser sur le salon de jardin à disposition ,grande belle chambre . Nous avons marché autour de l établissement pendant 2 h à observer les maisons et jardins . Restaurants à 15 minutes à pieds et petits petits commerces de dépannage en face des retau , petit déjeuner self bien complet très bon .

Beautiful property , the lounge and the stairwell have wonderful South African paintings , log burners and a warm cosy feel . The room is spacious , beautiful arranged , clean . The bed was the best in the world !! I have travelled the world and stayed in 5 * hotels but this bed was simply the best . I was blown away ! . Clean white sheets , fresh smell and the bed has electric blanket under the mattress and the my feet needed warming in the cold South African Autumn. The Staff were so welcoming, helpful and Smiling and Marie ( owner ) was quick with her responses to my emails and bookings and even managed to enter an extra person last minute . Breakfast was lovely with a spread of cakes , breads , cereals, juices , yogurts , teas , hot chocolates and coffee . Late night they have an honesty self help bar . Cooked breakfast was so well done and presented with a different personal message on each plate by the staff which I have not seen in any 5 * hotels I have stayed in . At the back they had a small pool , barbecue area and deck of chairs to relax as was in the front of the property . Very reasonable cost too . Would I recommend this place ? Yes , yes , yes 100 % absolutely!! Would I come back ? Yes of course and I would stay longer !!
