Reviewed Jul 13, 2026Clean and tidy, nice view of Nelson Park next door from our room, outdoor seating for morning coffee, separate living area makes it feel quite spacious. Good budget motel, was really only a place to sleep for the night after a gathering for us so was looking for somewhere cheap and cheerful.
It was very cold, even though the heat pump was on when we arrived and the room felt ok, once we sat down for a few minutes to watch TV, we both got cold so cranked up heat pump a bit but still couldn't get comfy, and no extra blankets for the bed. I wouldn't stay here in the winter again, but would be a lovely spot in the summer.

Reviewed May 26, 2026We were a couple travelling here for the first time, the owner kindly welcomed us with milk and a local map upon arrival. They were also very patient in answering all of our questions. The room was very lovely and cosy. The bathroom was a little small, but still completely acceptable. The surrounding area was very quiet and peaceful. We would definitely choose to stay here again!

Reviewed Mar 30, 2026The appt I eventually got put into was very large with a good vibe and aircon and full kitchen facilities, best aspect was how close to town it was. Nice to have option to sit by the pool.
The first room I was put into had a horrible mould smell and a lot of mould on window sill which was falling onto the pillows on the bed, also on the door to the outside. Absolutely not ok, and def not ok for the high price (same as the nautillus hotel). The hotel owners were at first defensive but then turned a corner and put me in a much nicer room, but I had to pay extra for it. The pool had lots of ants around it and was a bit mouldy, the bathwater was blue, elements on stove took ages to heat up and some didnt work, bedroom curtains let in light. It has the structure and location to be an awesome place but needs some tlc/maintenence particularly if pricing the same as nice hotels.

Reviewed Jan 4, 2026The location was excellent—close to Marine Parade and supermarkets.we booked the family unit, unit appeared old and in need of maintenance. The bathroom and toilet were run down, the doors of the bathroom did not lock, the kitchen cupboards had a strong smell, and some of the crockery was unclean. While the stay was comfortable due to the location, the experience could have been much better with improved upkeep. The swimming pool was cute.
