Stayed for the room, the extra's like the swimming pool were not needed. The room was comfortable and pleasant, airco worked perfectly. The staff is really friendly, thinking beyond what I would expect. They like to help you in any way possible. I could even get a ride to the village if I needed to. (Walking and using my own transportation works for me).

A la dueña le gusta culpar a los clientes por los problemas del hotel, desde que llegamos se quejó de que los clientes dejan el AC encendido, que no tratan con cuidado y que rompieron una ventana y a nosotras nos culpo de dañar el la cisterna del baño, luego como si fuera un favor nos cambio del habitación mandando mensajes de hasta 5 minutos al whatsaap personal.

We had such a wonderful stay at this beautiful boutique hotel. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the owner and manager, Lupe who is truly amazing. She is so friendly and kind it honestly felt like meeting a dear family member. She made us feel at home from the very first moment. Lupe and the staff create such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. It’s not just a hotel stay, you feel like you gain a new friend in Lupe. The hotel itself feels like coming home. Everything is clean, the towels, rooms, and all facilities were spotless. The beds are very comfortable and the furniture and rooms are thoughtfully arranged. We slept so well every night. The location is also perfect: a quiet and secure neighborhood, very close to Jan Thiel Beach, which makes it ideal for exploring the area while still feeling peaceful and safe. Een erg lieve eigenaar genaamd Lupe, die altijd voor je klaar staat! Fijne bedden en kamer werd elke dag netjes opgeruimd. Auto kon achter het hek geparkeerd worden.

Sentí que no había mucho espacio en la habitación. Dos camas ocupan mucho espacio, on una matrimonial bastaba. En el baño hay que arreglar donde se pone el papel higiénico.

We loved the staff, they were so friendly. They helped us with lifting our bags, advised us where to go and they really felt like friends. You really could see and feel the effort and love they put into this hotel.

My booking said ‘ Guests will have a special experience as the family room offers a pool with a view. Guests can make meals in the kitchenette that has a refrigerator, a microwave and a tea and coffee maker. This air-conditioned family room has a desk, a terrace, garden views and a private bathroom.’ My room was nothing like this description. I had a room just off the reception/ lounge/ main kitchen. I had no garden or pool views and had to go out the front door and around the side of the house to use the pool. One evening, or leaving my room to go to the pool, a man (owners partner?) was sitting 2 steps outside my bedroom door- sort of in the reception area! I felt very uncomfortable. I didn’t find the kitchenette, though, on asking, was given a plastic plate and bowl to use once I’d cooked in the microwave in my room! The windowless bathroom had a small shower, a door to my room, but also a second door to the main kitchen! The room accommodation was nothing like the description or pictures.

Het muggen hor als je het gebouw binnenkomt en op de kamer.

A localização, a simpatia e a cordialidade da proprietária, Lupe, sempre disposta a ajudar e informar sobre as praias e passeios. O local é muito próximo da Praia de Jan Thiel, possui bons restaurantes e mercado. Também é próximo da marina, local onde partem os passeios para a maravilhosa ilha Klein Curaçao.

Locatie is perfext

Zoals eerdere reacties, zorg voor nieuwe handdoeken! Zitten nog (hopelijk) oude vlekken in en en 1 was zo oud dat ik hem kapottrok bij gebruik. Daarbij het is absoluut geen 4 ster hotel, maar een soort bed&breakfast, personeel vriendelijk echter geen engels/nederlands

La ubicación es buena, se encuentra en la zona hotelera.

El baño , su ducha estaba con el teefono (lluvero) roto, o sea no salia el agua como debia de salir por lo que para bañarse habia que agarrar el lluvero. La limpieza en el cuarto lo hacian de tarde a esos de las 16 hs cuando llegabamos de la playa cansados para ingresar, estaba la muchacha de la limpieza. Por otro lado las sabanas no las cambiaron en los dos días que nos hospedamos y las toallas tampoco se cambio, y a todo esto cuando limpiaron el baño, se llevaron la toalla de manos y nunca la repusieron.

De gastvrouw Lupe en haar collega vsn het koken en de schoonmaak zijn ontzettend vriendelijk en behulpzaam. De kamers zijn ruim en goed ingericht en het zwembad is heerlijk. Het hotel staat op Jan Thiel, wat een veilige plek is met veel faciliteiten. Zeer aanbevolen!

Gastvrouw is zeer vriendelijk, open, gezellig, humoristisch, liefdevol, behulpzaam. Interieurverzorgster is ook vriendelijk en houdt alles netjes schoon en vult alles ook weer bij.

Eigenlijk niks hier op aan te merken.

TV did not work, microwave did not work, safe did not work, staff speaks only Spanish, personal items were moved to different place by cleaning lady, personal (small) item was thrown away, possibly because cleaning lady thought it was trash, which it wasn't. Upon checking in and paying, I was asked if I wanted to tip.

Het bed en de vriendelijke eigenaresse. Overal een redelijke prijs voor een budgetaccommodatie. Ik zou er geen hele vakantie boeken, maar 1 nachtje was prima.

De hele sfeer voelde een beetje treurig, met al het nepgras overal omheen gewerkt.

Kamer werd dagelijks nagelopen/schoongemaakt/bed opgemaakt. Ik had geen ontbijt bijgeboekt maar de eerste dag is er wel een ontbijt voor mij bereid en dat was zeer vriendelijk!!

De kamer (4) was erg donker, je moest continu licht aan hebben (wat een ongezellige felle TL-bak was) en het zwembad(je) was wat klein.

Super nette, freundliche und hilfsbereite Gastgeber. 58 m vom Hotel entfernt ist die Bushaltestelle und man kann für umgerechnet einen Euro bis nach Punda und verschiedenen Stränden fahren. Die Busse sind überwiegend pünktlich und es super einfach Curacao damit zu erkunden.

The location is excellent, close to Jan Thiel beach. The beds are large and comfortable, the air conditioning worked well. The owner and staff are kind and helpful.

Overpriced breakfast A layer of mud on the windows, probably caused by the construction next door Being charged the full $50 airport transfer even though there was another couple, also charged $50, on the same ride. A Taxi would have been $60 for the four of us.

The host is very nice, the outdoor areas and pool with all the lush trees and surroundings were gorgeous. The island breeze is amazing. I also like that she provided a little kitchen as we had some food to cook although rather small in size not much room to prep. It was close to a supermarket that had gluten free bread etc and close to the beach as well as snorkeling spots.

The bathroom door was broken and could use replacing. The kitchen was too small

The room was a very good size, beddings were very comfortable. Close enough to Jan Thiel beach club, walking distance but not super close. I like that the supermarket is also on the way to the beach so it was easy to get some essentials. But if I would come back, I will stay at Downtown as this area is very hotel/residential and there was nothing around, not even a coffee place. So it was a struggle to grab something on the way etc.

I am a solo traveller so safety is my priority in booking. I thought it was advertised as hotel but it felt more like an upgraded airbnb. Nothing against it as I stayed at airbnbs in the past, but would like to really stay in a " hotel" this time around. I did not get that feel. It felt like living in someone's big house. The staff were nice but nowhere to be found in the morning when you need beach towel. So I used the same beach towel for 3 days :( And apparently, beach towels are supposed to be used 2x which is a silly policy as they get sandy and soaked in salt water when you use it in the beach. What really put me off was the inflexibility. I had a city & beach tour booked on my last day and I wanted to freshen up before heading to airport. Hotel owner allowed for the bags to be kept in the reception but if I wish to freshen up, I should then keep paying for the room for $10 an hour after 12nn. She said that its because they will keep the room for me and not release it to other guests. there were at least 3 rooms upstairs and in the beginning of my stay, I was sure I was the only guest except on my last day. So even if I kept the room, they would not have lost any booking. Oh and it was an awkward conversation to use the toilet to pee on my return from the tour. In the end, I booked the VIP lounge at the airport so I could shower! No way I will pay $50 just to shower at the property and VIP lounge charged $37 with beverages and all amenities.

Good location altough far from center but in any place in Curaçao you need a car! Quite and clean! Putting the car inside accommodation was good and didn't had any interaction with owners except 1st day!

I believe the room needs some improvements.

Make sure you rent a car when visiting Curacao. Adonai was reasonably priced, quiet, clean and the service was excellent. We didn't have any meals here so I can't comment on that. There are many eating places and a supermarket a short drive away. We just needed a comfortable home base to rest our heads while we explored all that Curacao has to offer. Would stay here again.

Location was the only one thing

The host was pretty annoying, was bothering me all the time because of the air conditioner, the lights; the door and so on…

THE HOST was not pleasant to deal with and asked us to cancel our reservation and to pay her directly, we decided not to stay in the place. It was disappointing to deal with this after 20 hours of travel, we went to another hotel

Great room, cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. We were welcomed with some iced tea which was very much appreciated after the heat of the day! We had a leaking airconditioning unit, but the staff immediately contacted a repair service. Sadly the repair service could not come that day so we were offered the room next door. Good location if you want to explore Jan Thiel, or even just chill at the pool. Car could be parked inside the property which is closed off with a gate, this feels safer than leaving it on the side of the road.

The description says there is a communal kitchen, but on arrival when we wanted to cook, we were told the kitchen could be used if you paid an additional fee. This is not mentioned on this site (except in reviews of other guests) Pool was great but did not feel clean, there was a film on the water, I would guess from everyone’s sunscreen. Maybe we just stayed here between two pool cleanings? Some pieces of furniture felt outdated, for instance the lamp on the night stand was rather old and rickety, and there were some spots on the lamp shade which I guess was maybe mold?

The property is in a lovely upscale area. It is in close proximity to a nice beach, several restaurants and a grocery store. You can manage well without a car to get to the main city, as the bus stop is practically out the door. The hotel is exceptionally clean and the staff is very kind and helpful. My room was spacious and well equipped The cost was reasonable. I appreciated the quiet. The swimming pool Was in front of my room. I loved the Jacuzzi area of the pool but I wish the swimming pool had been larger.

I would have liked the swimming pool to be bigger.

The breakfast was very good. The place was very clean. The owner and staff were very friendly and easy to talk to. They went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable, and gave us rides to the market and to our next hotel to help us out.

The people next to us were very noisy until late in the night and did not observe the quiet time

The property is very convenient to Jan Thiel and all the restaurants and beaches but the road and walkway is very busy and at times frightening as the cars drive by fast. All in all the stay at Adonai was very good. I would definitely stay again but after the construction next door is completed.

The bed was big and confortable. The room was big

I got there around 2 pm and there wasn’t anybody in the reception. I went back at 3 pm and they told me my room was not ready and I waited for more 30 minutes. They don’t clean the room. They said they would clean the room each 2 days (that would be already terrible) but they actually don’t clean any day, they just fold the blanket and put desinfectante in the toilet. They don’t wash the bathroom not eve the sink, they don’t clean the floor and not collect the garbage. To complete I had internet in my bedroom only on my last night. To sumarizes I don’t recommend this place.

After a misunderstanding, the lady who was at the hotel (lupe) was very nice to us!! A young couple! She even offered us free transport when she wasn’t busy to get food or go to the city. Very nice lady and service.

Price quality was very good and location near the beach perfect!
