Hampton Inn & Suites St. Paul Downtown

Very friendly and professional staff. A very clean place and I like the environment. The food is good and it's a pleasure to eat the buffet as a guest.

There is nothing that I can say about anything I disliked.

Everything

Nothing

Beautiful hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Very clean. Comfortable beds and pillows. Great location. Lots of activities and food in walking distance. Great views from top floor “sea view” rooms. Delicious breakfast. Clean pool.

Was not aware until arrival that valet parking is the only option. Although it is convenient, it’s an extra charge that I was not expecting. Also construction outside made for the water to be turned off at the property. No notice was given so it came as an inconvenient surprise. Our water in the room was out for over 12 hours. Although staff was very apologetic, a heads up or updates would have been nice. There are no vending machines but they do have a small store to purchase snacks if you want to pay $8 for one bag of M&Ms or $10 for a single ice cream sandwich.

The breakfast was great. The pool and fitness area was very clean and nice. Hotel and room was beautiful. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Great stay!

Sehr freundliches Personal, schöne Zimmer, toller Pool und gute Lage in der Stadt. Der Pool war toll für unsere Tochter auch wenn er 2-3 Grad wärmer sein könnte 😉

Es war alles super.

the construction outside, which you have no control was cumbersome

The front desk person that checked us in and was there in the morning was extremely friendly and helpful. The guys doing the valet were quick and and efficient and helpful as well.

I would like to provide some feedback regarding my recent stay. When I made my reservation through Booking.com, it was not clearly stated on the first page that parking was subject to additional charges. Since we arrived with two cars, I specifically asked at the reception about the parking arrangements. I was informed that there would be a parking fee for the second car. Based on this information, we decided to park the second car elsewhere. However, no one informed us that there would also be a parking charge for the first car. I believe it would be helpful if the reception staff clearly explained all parking fees and any additional costs at check-in. This would help avoid misunderstandings and unexpected charges for guests. I hope you will take this feedback into consideration and ensure that all parking costs are communicated clearly in the future.

Breakfast was good. There were many options. Room was great except for the people above me!!! I got ZERO sleep. They were stomping around and from what I could tell, body slamming to the floor until 4:00am. Parking - eh. Valet only for $36. I opted to park in the public ramp across the street.

The noise that you could here from the people above my room!!!!!!!! Seriously, I think they may have been all star wrestling up there. They finally quit stomping (walking) around and created VERY loud booms on the floor about 4:00am

The Staff was AWESOME!! They were professional, friendly and helpful!! The breakfast was good, parking was ez and the room was clean and ice cold in the summer heat! Best location in St Paul!!

The only thing better is if it was free

They need a parking lot or garage that’s crazy to charge 35 dollars a day for parking when pay to stay there.

Parking

Very nice hotel, great location. Room was excellent, and exceptionally clean.

WiFi signal dropped continuously

Everything

Nothing

Breakfast was great.

Pillows were not soft.

Size of room, super comfy bed. cleanliness, variety of food for breakfast, helpful and pleasant front of house staff.

Probably prefer a walk in shower to shower over bath, even though the shower worked well.

Closeness to everything

Parking

Rooms were nicely appointed, clean and the breakfast buffet was really good.

Location was good. Bed was comfy. Clean sheets.

We paid for valet but the valet couldn’t drive a manual so my partner had to park our car every time and it just wasn’t the experience we were paying for. We had to carry our things from the parking garage up to the room instead of dropping off at the front lobby and someone parking our care like everyone else who did valet. The front desk lady was not helpful with the valet situation. She stated that we still needed to pay full price since we were using the parking lot. I disagree we should’ve received a discount. Additionally, the AC was not great and it was often too warm in our room.

Great place to stay, clean, and friendly staff

Parking sucked, has valet parking, but parking on the small strip with the construction was difficult

Very good location next to the Grand Casino Arena. Great places to eat well within walking distance.

Valet parking was quite expensive, so we opted to use a nearby paid parking lot.

Clean and comfortable.

The valet parking backed my car into a sign and flattened the sign and we got a free night of parking for it only.

Great location and staff wee brilliant

Nothing

The hotel and staff were so nice!! A big thing was we forgot my daughter’s favorite blanket at the hotel. We lived too far away to go get it and they are mailing it to our house! They are amazing!!

Breakfast was excellent, room was clean, ballet guys were so nice and helpful caring our bags. Also could make room really dark which is helpful when trying to sleep in😴 Michelle at front desk was exceptional-so helpful, kind & ontop of any questions we had!

Michelle and the valet associate were friendly, helpful, and the room was clean, comfortable, good variety and quality of breakfast items, and close enough to walk to the Grand Casino Arena.

We love the location, so easy to just walk around and get to places. Employees are nice and very helpful.

Parking is valet only. Wait times can get a little longer when many people are checking out at the same time.

Conveniently located

The noise from NHL hockey play off game across the street. Not something within control of the hotel

Friendly, helpful staff, convenient location for our activities and dining options, room ready early which was great since we had been in the car for hours.

Very nice hotel, clean, spacious and great staff!

Nothing

Close to tons of great food

Valet Parking

The breakfast had no gluten free or vegan options. Price of room was expensive due to event. Plus I left a jacket behind and no one contacted me. Very disappointed.

Location súper close to Wild arena! Breakfast was quality mix of hot and cold items, tasty.

Are used to stay down the block across the street at the Holiday Inn. It was OK. I didn’t like that. They didn’t have a free breakfast when you’re spending that much money for everything including parking and stuff to be where you guys are located being able to save a couple dollars on a continental breakfast is nice. So I tried you guys this weekend for our trip and you’ve got customers for life now.

I like staying in that area so the beds were extremely comfortable. The shower was amazing and the staff were great just all around a great experience.

The staff was so approachable and fun to interact with. The room itself was maintained and cleaned really well. The convenience of the hotel being so close to the venue of the event we went to was a plus. I enjoyed my stay as a whole.

The staff was very pleasant and helpful. Everything went well. Great location

Everything was good

DNA-Didn't eat breakfast

Everything including valet

Eggs low quality

Location to Grand Casino Arena/xcel is the best. Valet parking is a plus too.

Nothing. Hotel is always great. Staff very friendly, breakfast has lots of options. Rooms are decent size and comfortable.

It’s always clean, love the valet parking and easy to get to the hockey game surrounded by good restaurants

We had a double queen room, and the one bed was very tacoed

Great location and the suite is perfect for us.

NA

Valet parking was great!

Great location

Crazy at checking with parking/ just valet parking

Parking was convenient. Breakfast was fine and early (much appreciated)

I had a major problem with payment (I still have three(!) charges on my credit card

The staff was very friendly. The breakfast was excellent

Breakfast wasn’t very good

Good breakfast. Excellent location. Friendly staff

Nothing

Breakfast was great. Good selection . Plenty of seating.

Not much.

How CLEAN it is!! The blinds are awesome SO DARK! Location was great close to drinks, food and the venue

There wasn't anything I didn't like.

The front desk should provide information on nearby parking ramps. Street meters wouldn’t take quarters or credit cards.

I always book a hotel with a pool and was very disappointed the water was freezing so the wife didn't get in

Could not get wifi to work…couldn’t find a password…view not good at all but only in our room to sleep so really didn’t matter

Hotel was clean and nicely decorated…breakfast was sufficient! No complaints!

Location

Hotel not clean. Bathroom not clean. Used soap in shower. Front staff response was very disappointing and unprofessional. Gave me “ two” new bars of soap. Room was not cleaned in 3 day stay. Contacted management via email. No response.

Location

Lack of parking

It was convenient to the location I needed to be daily.

Not enough carts for checkout and recurring incidental fee for every day of the stay.

The facility was clean and the layout was really cool.

No real parking option other than valet, which is an additional expense.

We have stayed here many times. The area around the property has had homeless people around it. The area was fine and extra security measures are in place. Breakfast was really good, great selection of food. Everything was very clean. Friendly staff. Will stay again.

We didn’t have an issue with anything.

Good clean hotel.

Location. We have stayed here many times and the location for us is excellent. We have never been disappointed @ this property. They take different security measures. Breakfast is good.

No complaints. Clean.

We love the location for hockey game and dinner. Room was available early so definite plus there! The staff is so helpful and friendly. We liked breakfast, too!

Very convenient to the arena and great restaurants and shops. Valet parking is excellent and the breakfast was outstanding.

Water pressure and hot water for showers was left to be desired. Some paper and a pen at the desk in the room was needed and not found.
