Mallberry Suites Business Hotel

This is a very nice motel. The Wi-Fi here is not great and the television cable system is not great. However, the two restaurants there and the free breakfast in the morning are all good. The rooms were very clean and our stay pleasant.. the service at this hotel is excellent

Good room with good bed and pillow. Not amazingly clean. Good location close to cafe, restaurant, super market and shopping mall. Bad wifi connection. Slow and unstable.

Nice place to stay

The service at this hotel couldn’t be better. The customer service is 6 star. I have stayed here for the 3rd or 4th time for about a week each time. The staff are very kind and respond urgently to every request. Get the breakfast with your room it is worth it. If you get tired of the food order an omelette, which is included without cheese. The cheese costs too much. Also the only complaint is laundry expense is too much. I wish they would have removed their face masks, to see their wonderful smiles. They are the best and the price is great!

Hotel was decent, gym was closed due to repair. Had a pool but never used. Breakfast was mediocre, not very good. But service and people helping you were very nice and accomidating

Has easy access to shopping and car parking which is a bonus. Staff are helpful, polite and friendly. I found the Internet connection too slow The gym was not in operation at the time of our stay but overall had an enjoyable stay.

The staff went above and beyond to make our stay very comfortable and pleasant. I am also very grateful for their residential room which was very roomy and well-suited for a family of four plus one. I am definitely coming back when I visit CDO again.

The halls doesn't have air conditioning, the breakfast is the same the whole days i stayed, Spa bathrooms are dirty and my room bathroom shower doesn't drain fast enough and the sink. the place needs renovation. at least the staff are courteous and helpful

Mallberry Suites is always a “mainstay” for us. The staff is friendly, the food is great! The proximity to many places makes it perfectly “centrally located”. Getting a king size bed is a big deal for us because we like to sleep all three of us together. Great pricing on rooms!

Great hotel all malls are so close

The hotel is a bit run down, but i saw that they were updating a few items. If you are on business trip and plan to use their amenities, i do not recommend using their boardrooms, unless you are okay with no windows and lighting is really bad (hope you can change them to white lights, there's no way you can do a board meeting there with all of the lights at yellow. Its not a bedroom. There's also no business center where you can do meetings, you'll have to do it in the lobby, so make sure you have a headset otherwise, work inside your room. Good options for food, but very good location. you are really in the city center and everything is walking distance

I have stayed at Mallberry many times and I have been amazed that the entire staff is so well trained and how they take care of their customers. Hats off too the management!

Love this hotel,it was everything i expected. From the nicest hotel crews to the room and restroom cleanliness.I will stay at this hotel again next year.

Wonderful stay

Front desk agent not friendly upon check in. She just gave me the key and didn't tell me where im going same person upon check out didn't even ask me how's my stay poor service of her

The room looks old. The linens look dirty. The bathroom needs renovation.

The please waste good 20 years a go but it needs some refurbishment it is in center of town and walking distance from every thing. We were in town to visit with family and we stayed for a week. I will not recommend it for more than one or two days of you are in town for business. The gym is out of order and the pool is useless and they charge an entry fee for the pool. Breakfast is nothing to write about very limited options and you should be early before it is gone. I'm sorry to say I will not be coming back.

The staff and security officers are the best!! The restaurant has a poor selection and quality of food.

Check in good porter excellent , room fine but pillow to big for my wife and no spare in room . Drainage pipes in wall and a tap had been left on above our room so couldn’t sleep then at 2am reported and tap turned off after 25 more minutes plus they moved us at 2.40am . Great location for the shopping malls and immigration offices . Really wanted a better room but none available on hotels. Com website . Hotel has indoor pool but didn’t realize

I have stayed here lots of times over the years and it is like a home from home and everyone makes me feel very welcome. The room is good as is the location. The choice of food in the Rosso restaurant is not so good following lockdown so I found somewhere nearby to eat in the evenings. I feel very safe there

Breakfast buffet spread needs to be improved . But location is perfect with nearby dining and shopping options .

Stayed before and very convenient. Knew what to expect Slightly struggling after lock down and one evening all the restaurants closed at 9.30 pm so unable to get any food . That was a surprise and a little incovenient

The staff were very helpful, respectful, and always smiling. They even packed fo me the 2 marang fruits i was to bring back to Manila. Thank you staff! However, I was very disappointed when I had to make a deposit of P150 to get a second card key. I traveled from Dipolog to CDO, stayed in 7 hotels before CDO, and Malberry Suites was the only hotel with such horrible policy. I was occupying a 3-pax room, how could we get along with just 1 card key? Also, this was the only hotel without bidet in the restroom- please install one.

Staff could be friendlier as some are just kinda rude, also please install a bidet as that should be a staple in the bathroom and also fix the bath tab as there was no stopper.

This is nicer hotel in CDO if you’re American you should be comfortable I travel a lot and stayed a week at different hotel locally I wouldn’t recommend the other place but this one is fine for family or business it has a restaurant, bar and cafe nothing extravagant but decent and acceptable by western standards

This is my go-to hotel in Cagayan de Oro. Within walking distance of 4 malls and many restaurants (and in my case my in-laws as well) so it is perfect for me and my wife. staff is friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is quite good and they are bringing back the buffet. Parts of the hotel still under renovation. I think it's a great value.

I like the location of the hotel to shopping center and restaurant. I am not a fan of additional bed costs plus additional breakfast cost. When you booked for the rooms, breakfast was included yet when you pay for additional person, breakfast should also be included in the deal, but no…you also have to pay for breakfast. It also took a long time for the clerks to checked me in and book the additional room.

The hotel was good air-conditioning was working The Internet not that good and I was sad that the pool was not open considering that Hotel was fully booked and we were all showing our vaccination passes. Wasn’t happy with the breakfast either to be honest

Service is great but room is not so clean. I can smell something inside the room. When we arrived one of the cups still had traces of coffee inside. And when i left something when i checked out noone called me about it, i had to go back after a few hrs and ask about it at the front desk. i realized housekeeping didnt inform frontdesk about whats left behind when someone checks out. I do like the fact thats theres a nice spa in the hotel and its just right across a mall.

We had absolutely no problems there. Staff were all outstanding. Restaurant was good. Very convenient to the mall and church. We enjoyed our stay there.

The hotel is pretty decent and worth the price. My family enjoyed it except they weren't able to use the pool because it is under maintenance. The front desk and house keeping is hard to reach at night and we have to call many times.

The property has been closed for over a year. We were not able to stay. Tried calling and using Expedia app and messaging and Expedia was not very helpful at all.

Over all good service.Ist time i've been to a hotel that charged for using the pool, I let them know my displeasure over the fee. Ordered two carrots cakes from the deli in the lobby, both were dried out and could not eat. Let the counter person know about it,the response was ok sorry sir...Ordered food delivered from the outside they charged 20% fee for ordering outside. This place will nickle and dime you to death.

Good...but then others staff on reception area don’t know the process. I booked here with 3 of us. Then they tell us only 2 are free then the other 1 will charge of our breakfast and towel. Until I talk there supervisor why like that I booked good for 3 then we’ll pay again..with that he promise that we will not pay.

seems old, used , some smell lingering. at 2nd floor band could be heard playing and rowdy customers noise kept waking infant.

When I chose the hotel it had a fairly good rating so I was confident that I was checking into a good hotel. Upon arrival the hotel was clean, in a fairly good area however the first thing I had an issue with was parking. They do not have suitable parking spaces so it took a few tries and finally caught someone pulling out. The staff was modestly pleasant and helpful. After check in I got to my room and found it a bit small, but acceptable. When I went to take a shower I initially had no hot water, I called the front desk and they came up and got it going. However, there was not enough water pressure to have a good shower and it was impossible to get the water to stay at a comfortable temperature. When I went to breakfast the food was fairly good, but I think the orange juice was a mix, it tasted a lot like Tang, if anyone remembers that. All in all, if you are not too picky, willing to put with a few issues I would say the hotel is a fair value for the cost. This is the second hotel I have stayed at in Cagayan De Oro and I would rate it second. The first was Seda Centrino, it is about double the price, but worth the extra. Some locals told me Apple Tree Inn there is good and about the same price as Mallberry, I will give it a try on my next visit. Hope this review helps someone.

The best things about our stay in the Malberry were firstly, the friendly and helpful staff, including the security, concierge, room cleaning staff and breakfast team. Secondly, the lobby has a great atmosphere in the evening and the facilities and staff in the business centre were excellent for flight check in and printing of boarding passes. On the other hand the junior suite would need upgrading-especially the floor covering. Also, the wifi was rather slow at times.

Great location. Right across is the Supermarket. For Catholics, nearest Church is just 10 minutes walk. Staff needs more training though. I asked a question to the Bellboy. He didn’t know the answer. He said he’ll ask the Front Desk. He never got back to me.

The shower tub was old even it was in superior no bidet. Dirty bathroom and soap was old as it cracked when opened.

Staffs were slow but friendly. 1 min walk to the malls. Toilet bowl flush its like exactly in a public. I have to use my feet everytime i flush it. No class. In my opinion.

It would have been nice if they provide tea since I don't drink coffee. I appreciated the cordless kettle in the room. A flat iron would have been nice.

What I didn't like was the delayed preparation of the "to go" breakfast that I requested as early as 7PM the night before because of my very early morning flight. I left without waiting for the coffee. Also the slow process of checking the room during check out. But I still love to stay at Mallberry!

Defective blower

THE pool and gym use is not free. you have to pay Php100 for use of each amenity which should've been free as amenities of the hotel. first time to encounter hotel requiring payment for use of pool and gym.

The place is close to the malls which is nice, but their beddings stinks specially their pillows. The smells stick to our hair and we cannot connect the wifi in our room.

Shower doesn't drain quick. Lavatory leaking somehere. Over all, pleasant. Improvements are needed.
