Lovely spa
A bit dated
We loved the front desk staff, especially Alex and there was another guy on duty when we checked in, unfortunately we forgot his name - pretty sure he has Philippino genes. Anyway big shout out to them, and the woman on Sunday, maybe she was in guest relations or a manager. 10/10 front of house staff, also bell captains.
Most things lived up to our expectations, would’ve loved for the concierge to be more accessible. We tried to get a hold op that department 3 times, and when we got hold of them it didn’t seem like they had much time.
Very comfortable and warm welcome
The drains in the bathroom were not always fresh
A localização e as boas comodidades do quarto
A qualidade do pequeno-almoço ficou aquém das expetativas para os padrões europeus.
Friendly staff and luxury feel
All very good
Had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The staff are very friendly and went above and beyond to accommodate us during our stay. The spa facilities are great and was a perfect way to relax. Myroslava from guest services was brilliant and made our stay extra special for our anniversary. Would recommend this hotel and will definitely be back

Absolument rien ! Tout était parfait
Really nice interiors in the public spaces of the hotel such as the lobby and rooftop restaurant. The staff were amazing and went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. The pool and spa was lovely and such a nice retreat from the busy city.
Lovely room for breakfast at 10th floor. Very lovely.
I miss more choices of vegetable juices at breakfast. I dont drink fruitjuices. The hotel was kind to offer tomatojuice.
The place is great. This establishment meets everything I expect from a GOOD hotel. It offers all someone can need for either a business or a leisure trip. The attention to detail is exceptional and the staff makes everything they can to make their guests' stay comfortable and enjoyable. I could not recommend it more

Location was great!
Nothing!
The service is exceptional
Location was excellent for us because we had a concert to attend for myself and my daughter at the O2 arena and also my husband and my other daughter attended a concert at Wembley Stadium on the same night so the hotel was half way between the two.
The hotel was excellent however the air conditioning in our daughters room was not working properly and they were unable to sleep on the night because the room was so hot, they were extremely tired after a full day, but didn’t inform us of their discomfort until the following morning.
Tutto veramente.. un hotel molto elegante in ristrutturazione con camere tecnologiche ma soprattutto confortevoli … la colazione è favolosa di un vero 5 stelle
We had a wonderful stay at Montcalm Royal London House and staff members Iman and Divine went over and above to make our stay truly memorable and special for my teenage son’s birthday and first time in London. We were selected as ‘guests of the day’, our room was upgraded and we were given late checkout and breakfast, as well as some wonderful treats in the room including balloons and cake. My son was blown away and felt like a king. Big thanks to all of the team who made it happen. We will definitely be staying in a Montcalm hotel on our next city break. The spa at this one is a real treat too after a busy day in the city and the rooftop terrace and restaurant is stunning. Thank you!
Comfy rooms , nice quiet location , friendly staff
The control panel touchscreen for lights / AC is useless , I had to call the reception to adjust my AC from central and it didn’t even work
All of it, 4th time coming and 10/10 again. Staff are amazing, room was unbelievable. We was guest of the day so we got a lovely bottle of Prosecco, note and fruit platter! I will be staying here again. The new sauna is clean and lovely, the beds so comfy. Breakfast is the nicest breakfast I’ve ever had!
Nothing all amazing
This was our fourth trip back to this hotel and it gets better everytime. We had a beautiful fruit salad, a kind note and a bottle of Prosecco waiting in our room. The breakfast was the best breakfast I’ve ever had, the newly revamped spa is amazing, the staff are kind and caring and the whole experience is exceptional. We will be returning a few times this year. Thank you Montcalm and we can’t wait to come back. I’d also like to add they take your luggage to your room for you, courtesy call to make sure everything is okay and honestly can say everytime I come to London I will be staying here!
Staff, location and everything else
Was all good.
Superb service levels, excellent room fully serviced. I could not find fault though the pool is not long enough to swim for adults.
My brother and I had an excellent stay at the Montcalm Royal London House and would definitely come back. The staff were particularly friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. They kindly allowed us a late check-out on our last day, which we really appreciated. The hotel was spotless and our room was cleaned impeccably every day. The room itself was very comfortable and extremely well equipped, with thoughtful details such as a portable clothes steamer. The location is excellent for exploring London, with very good transport connections nearby. We also really enjoyed the wellness area with the swimming pool and jacuzzi, which is included in the stay and was perfect for relaxing after a long day in the city. Overall, the value for money was excellent considering the location, quality of the hotel, facilities and level of service. Everything met our expectations and we would have no hesitation staying here again.
The only minor issue was the fridge in the room, which did not get cold enough to properly chill drinks. However, whenever we asked the staff for ice, it was delivered to our room very quickly, so this was only a small inconvenience.
We had an amazing stay at the Montcalm Royal London House celebrating our anniversary! ❤️ The room was comfortable, beautifully presented, and perfect for a relaxing getaway. The breakfast was also fantastic, with a great selection to start the day. A special thank you to Iman and Raissa, who truly went above and beyond and made our stay extra special. Their warm and attentive service really made a difference and helped make our anniversary even more memorable. We had such a lovely time and would definitely stay again. Highly recommended!
clean big room elegant style relaxing spa
Loved this hotel. First, the staff were all lovely. Everyone, holding doors, making conversation, smiling. Second, room welcoming was great. Third, roof terrace breakfast delicious.
Minor - I got to the roof terrace at night late. Would've loved to have just had a look out for a couple minutes at the view - didn't need to drink.
Absolutely fantastic . Everything was exceptional from the room to the food , the facilities and the service. Iman and the team couldn’t do enough for us . We will definitely be returning soon
My second time staying at the hotel. Amazing staff, who very kindly upgraded me to a breakfast on the rooftop which was excellent. The views from there and the rooms were great, the spa area is small but has everything you need. Everything is finished to the highest standard. Location is great, shops restaurants and tube all within walking distance. We will be back

Our two-night stay at the Montcalm Royal London House was honestly one of the best hotel experiences we’ve ever had. We’ve stayed at many 4- and 5-star hotels across Europe, the Caribbean, America, Asia and Africa, but the level of genuine care here really stood out. By time we walked through the doors, the warm greetings, kindness of the staff and beautiful woody fragrance in the hallway created an immediate feeling of comfort. It felt like the hotel was saying “welcome home.” We arrived early, expecting to leave our bags and visit the spa until our room was ready. To our surprise our King room on the 8th floor was already ready. And when we opened the door we were genuinely in awe!! We mentioned that we were celebrating a birthday, but Divine and Myroslava from Guest Experience went far beyond our expectations. The room was beautifully prepared and the attention to detail was in-cre-di-ble!! It felt like they had genuinely made our celebration their own. The care continued throughout our stay, with the team regularly checking that everything was to our liking. When an unexpected emergency occurred, but they remained calm and immediately took action. Within around 30 min everything was resolved. That wasn’t simply service; that was genuine care. Also a special thank you to Fatima at breakfast, who remembered our names every morning, gave great recommendations and made breakfast feel like we were actually on holiday. ❤️ And did you know the building that is now the Montcalm Royal House was formerly home to Royal Mail. The post box, postbox logos and ability to send postcards are beautiful touches that connect the hotel to its past! The room itself was spotless, beautifully decorated with an incredibly comfortable bed, excellent shower and everything we could have needed. The view from the 8th floor was wonderful. Our only small issue was that the in-room phone wasn’t working properly, so we couldn’t reach room service and had to make alternative arrangements. Aside from that, everything was exceptional. We have stayed in many wonderful hotels, I’ve learned yet again that beautiful hotels are one thing; a team that makes you genuinely feel cared for is another. Montcalm Royal London House delivered both. Thank you to Divine, Myroslava, Fatima and the entire team. May God bless you all. We feel truly blessed to have experienced this stay and cannot wait to return. ❤️✨
I have stayed here a few times, and I come back because the hotel is gorgeous and the staff is incredibly helpful, friendly and accommodating! Also a great location, would definitely recommend.
Well placed to all central attractions, just a 10 min walk to Liverpool St station. Plenty of bars and restaurants within a five minute walk. Staff were all very polite and friendly and Breakfast was excellent
There was no stand out thing that I didn’t like about the property.
It was in a Convenient location.
My friend and I went for a work conference and specifically the spa, pool, workout room and they were all closed when we were there for renovation. It essentially ruined the experience we We’re hoping to have. No one told us prior. They ended up refunded a portion of the stay however we had to fight hard and advocate for this with both booking.com and the site. Neither were willing initially to do anything. I will never be using booking.com again due to this and the lack of communication between the 2 places. It was like playing a game of hot potato-no one wanted to take accountability for it. I was floored. This is supposed to be a 5 star hotel.
Great experience from start to finish. We were also treated to guest of the day, meaning we got to really enjoy the facilities. The staff were helpful, friendly and couldn’t have done more for us.
Located in the City

The staff were friendly and although we were initially disappointed as our rooms were not set up as the 'twin rooms' we had booked, this was rectified and we were generously offered complimentary breakfast for the trouble. This was very welcomed and well received.
The spa facilities are very poor considering the high standards presented throughout the hotel. The gym is genuinely one of the worst I have been to. You cannot access the weights if someone else is in the room as there is only one bench. The space is incredibly small and is mostly taken up by very old cardio equipment. I was not able to run on the treadmill due to noise it made and the feeling like it was going to break. The pool is small but nice and the infra-red sauna is quite pathetic, providing barely any heat whatsoever.
Amqzing staff, great roof terrace, great food
Locations to the Underground made it easy to get around the city. The rooftop restaurant/bar was lively and fun
They were repairing elevators which made one set of elevators unusable and the entrance to the brewery was not available in the hotel.
L’emplacement, le personnel, le petit déjeuner, le rooftop, la piscine, la salle de sport
La vue dans la cour intérieur, les bruits de bouteilles lorsqu’elles sont jetées, la panne des ascenseurs
Clean, presentable, welcoming. Perfect.
No umbrella option for the rooftop bar
We loved the rooftop bar and also having breakfast there. We had a lovely evening meal on the first night and were given complimentary champagne for our wedding anniversary. Such a kind gesture to help us celebrate. I also loved the Penhaligons Halfeti bath products- my favourite fragrance ❤️
Our fridge didn’t work- but it was replaced immediately after contacting reception. The only problem was that the air conditioning didn’t cool the room very well. We were out a lot so didn’t mention it as we loved our upgraded room and the views from the 9th floor!
Staff were great, incredibly attentive
We deliberately paid for this hotel rather than something cheaper because of the pool and sauna, but they were closed for a portion of our stay, so i feel we have spent over the odds and not had use of the full facilities
Everything was perfect from start to finish. I stayed with my 9year old son as a birthday treat for him and the staff went above and beyond to make him feel special down to sweet treats, balloons and gifts waiting for him in our room. Not to mention ice cream on arrival :) The room was very spacious, clean and tidy. We used the swimming pool during the children's hours and my son had lots of fun. Having the jacuzzi right next to the pool meant we could both enjoy ourselves :) We had dinner at The Aviary on the 10th which offers amazing views of London. The service and food was top notch. We had breakfast as part of our booking and it did not disappoint either, so many choices from the buffet but also being able to order certain dishes cooked fresh by the chefs was a nice touch. The reception team were fabulous as well as the guys who greeted us outside and helped with our bag. Everyone was very friendly which made me feel at ease being a single parent with a young child. Thank you all for making our stay one of remember :)
Nothing it was all brilliant! :)
Freundlichkeit des Personals
Rooftop-Bar durch externe Gäste sehr laut, die in der Nacht in den Gängen Lärm machten. teilweise sehr abgewohnt.
Recently renovated. 5* feel
Nothing
The room was really spacious the bathroom was exceptionally and included a bath and large size mirror. Breakfast is definately a MUST! I loved that we could choose how we wanted our eggs, really reminded me of my travels around the world! Its the little things that matter. The SPA was so calming, a special shout out to Bea, the treatment she gave me was so professional and her after care was very insightful.
After travelling, it would have been great to have a full bathroom kit with tooth brush and tooth paste and ladies sanitary. For the price of the room and the high quality rating of the hotel, I had the expectation that these personal items would have been readily available rather then then being a request.
My husband and I had a lovely night here. I went for my birthday and they gave me a lovely cake. The only downside to this place is the spa. It is tiny and only has 10 beds so not really a place you can chill out. What really stands out about the place though is how amazing all the staff are. All of them were fabulous no matter who we saw, they were all great. We had reservations for the Aviary and had cocktails up there. There was a DJ and it was a fantastic atmosphere. The breakfast the next day was also impeccable. The location is great we walked to Spitalfields Market in about 12 min and the next day we popped across to the Barbican. A great trip. The staff deserve a 100 out of 10!
This was our first stay at the Montcalm Royal London House, although we had previously stayed at the Montcalm Brewery. The staff really know and value the meaning of customer service, everyone is engaging and friendly and they prioritise your guest experience and make it special. The room was upgraded and we had a nice note welcoming us from customer services with a fruit bowl and chilled bottle of sparkling wine. The room was excellent, the bed and pillows were super comfortable. The bathroom had a great monsoon shower. We were on the eighth floor and whilst in the pulsing heart of the City of London there was no external noise. The breakfast buffet had top quality food and service was great. The roof top bar was a real treat with great views across the financial district. We had unlimited access to the gym and spa area. The location is fantastic just a few minutes away from Liverpool St and the bars a restaurants of Shoreditch. I couldn’t find a single issue with the whole weekend it was fabulous!
Classy hotel with professionals
Staff were amazing. All of them everyone i met was well trained and excellent. The rooftop bar and ambience was great.
The spa was fine but tiny with only 10 beds so not really a place you could relax unless you were one of the lucky 10!

Can’t find a single thing!
What a wonderful stay and hotel. We were greeted really well, lovely gift in the room. Room and services were outstanding.
Nothing! If I had to be really picky, the restaurant breakfast area could do with some blinds to block the sun.
This was our second stay at Montcalm Royal London House and it certainly won't be our last! We love everything about this hotel - the location is beautiful, every team member we've encountered has been so friendly and helpful and the atmosphere in general is always so lovely. It was my partners birthday and the guest experience were so friendly and accommodating even though my request was very last minute! Special shout out to Divine -she was so helpful and the decorations in the room were perfect she really brought the vision to life. We will definitely be back! Thank you so much to everyone at the hotel who made our time special ! :)
We had a lovely stay at the hotel for one night. The service was excellent and breakfast very good with lots of choice. The rooftop bar was a highlight serving cocktails with great views. Divine was a wonderful host and helped my husband make it a special stay for our anniversary by decorating our room and leaving wine and a little cake for us to enjoy. Thank you for a great stay.
Staff were amazing, very friendly & helpful. Location was great, yet still nice & quiet area. Rooftop terrace was a bonus during the heatwave...lovely to relax there with breakfast. Pool area was so nice, had the place to ourselves. Wish we'd had time to use it more.
Terrible view from window, onto other windows.. given the price we paid thought it would be better! Rooftop bar was packed and we had to wait 30 mins, even though we had prebooked a table the week before. Would definitely stay again, but this was a one off expensive treat for my daughter & I.
Nice rooms and a great breakfast. The staff were also super friendly and helpful, especially the breakfast restaurant staff.
This hotel is absolutely amazing. The rooms are stunning, bathroom is fab, everything you need right down to great quality shower wash etc. The towels/face clothes are amazing quality. The bed was super comfy. Fresh milk in the fridge for your tea/coffee which is a rarity these days. Even had a steamer which was so handy. The room was spotless, super super clean. The breakfast was absolutely gorgeous, so much to choose from and just delicious 😋. The spa and pool facilities were also fantastic. They even had fresh fruit provided at reception if you needed a snack. In the evening time also at reception they had refreshing cocktails made up, I of course tried one, was delicious 😋. Everyone of the staff were extremely friendly and couldn't have been more helpful, in every area of the hotel. We absolutely loved our stay and would 100% go back x
There wasnt 1 single thing we didn't like about the hotel.
My partner and I celebrated our 3 years here at the Montcalm Royal London House. When booking, I mentioned in the notes section that we were staying there for our 3rd anniversary. Within minutes, I received a message from the very polite and friendly Iman, who told me about the packages they offered to make this anniversary very special, which exceeded my expectations. On the day, we arrived slightly earlier than check-in so that we could leave our bags and explore the city, and were met by one of the lovely gentlemen at the reception desk(I didn't catch his name unfortunately), who confirmed our room was all ready for us, which we were surprised by but happy to hear. We were met with a wonderfully decorated room from the package I had chosen, a nice view, and amazing amenities. The room size was perfect, and the bed was so comfy. Iman had also left a lovely letter, and there was a delicious red velvet cake with a happy anniversary sign on it. A big thank you to him and all of the staff who made our stay feel so special.
From the moment we turned up to the moment we left we had a very exceptional experience. I don't write reviews but I have to say that the hotel was impeccable. When we arrived we were too early for our room so, we left our luggage with the team and headed out. On arrival we were told we had been chosen as the guest of the day with a room upgrade and complimentary breakfast as well as a lovely bottle of wine and fruit. What an absolute amazing start to our weekend away to celebrate my partners birthday. I want to thank all the team for a lovely stay and has left a lovely memory for us to cherish. We will definitely be back
As a Gold Member, I expected far better service and hospitality. This experience fell well below the standards of a luxury hotel, and I hope management takes this feedback seriously. Unclean room and unprofessional deputy manager
We were greeted at reception by the wonderful Sahil as we started a 2 night stay at the Montcalm celebrating our son’s graduation and our wedding anniversary. To our surprise Iman and Myroslava had arranged for our room to be decorated with towel swans and rose petals, and left a complimentary cake and bottle of bubbly. Throughout our stay their attention to deal was top rate - all rooms were clean and spacious and all staff incredibly friendly, including the friendly banter with doormen and restaurant team.
Good location, good friendly reception people including front door men.Spa facilities were good. Comfortable bed, quiet nights sleep. Breakfast was excellent with nice outside dinning area.
Despite an upgraded room, it was still smaller than expected.
Very comfortable room and very clean. Staff were all friendly and professional. Great position, close to the city.
Nothing
The room and the staff were amazing so helpful and friendly it’s a good location with a beautiful view from the rooftop terrace
The room was immaculate and recently refurbished. Lovely staff, and the rooftop bar is stunning. Great pool and gym too.
Nothing really, it delivered!!! My brother stayed here last year and was equally impressed.
Excellent central location on a quiet green area, Finsbury Square. Staff were helpful and friendly.
1. hotel insisted on taking £150 deposit from my credit card, even though I had paid in full when I booked and I told them I did not want to sign any extras to the room but would pay as needed. This amount then takes up to 2 weeks to be refunded to the credit card. It is an unnecessary inconvenience for guests, with no clear justification from the hotel as to why they do it. 2. the room was comfortable except for one very poor design feature - the wardrobe/cupboard, with outward opening doors is situated in the narrow passage which leads to the exit door and has access to the bathroom. Each time one of us used the cupboard (frequently for clothes, tea, fridge etc.) the exit passage and access to the bathroom was completely blocked. Unnecessary inconvenience for guests. Clearly moving the cupboard is not practical unless the rooms are reconfigured but one solution is to put sliding doors instead of outward opening doors.
Stunning property! Great location. Beautifully clean rooms. Great breakfast and lovely spa. But if you want to use the roof top bar, you must book, which were not told about and couldn’t go on our 1st night.
Rooms weren’t ready until after 4:30pm
I had lunch at Aviary and, by chance, ended up visiting the opening of the Marriott. It turned out to be a lovely surprise! I was treated to complimentary ice cream. The Guest Relations Manager was exceptionally polite and friendly. She kindly showed me around and made me feel very welcome. I would also like to compliment the Aviary team. The staff were courteous, professional, and provided excellent service throughout my visit. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I truly enjoyed the warm hospitality.
Amazing experience for our weekend get away, the staff were very friendly and the facilities were spot on. Divine went over and above on the decoration of our room for our anniversary. Can't wait for return visit.
yes
the lift wasn't working
I want to start this review with an apology for taking far too long to post this. Divine, my sincere apologies for the delay in taking the time to write a more than deserved review for everything you did to make my mother and me feel so special during our stay a few months ago. I have stayed at The Montcalm a few times before, but my most recent visit was the best one yet. The hotel is immaculate, there are always refreshments in the lobby, the location is well-connected (underground is close by) and in a great part of London, and the staff are wonderful. I booked the trip as a surprise for my mom's birthday and, from the moment we arrived, every member of staff made us feel welcome. Everyone took the time to stop and chat, ask how we were getting on and whether there was anything we needed. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and the level of care we received is a real credit to the team. However, the person who made our stay truly unforgettable was Divine. Before our stay, I contacted the hotel and was fortunate enough to connect with Divine who was an absolute delight. I had arranged for some balloons to be placed in the room as part of my mom's birthday surprise, but what Divine did went far beyond anything I could have expected. We arrived early and left our luggage before heading out to enjoy the city. When we returned later that day, Divine personally greeted us and took us up to our room. As soon as the door opened, both my mom and I were completely speechless. Not only were the balloons there, but Divine had gone above and beyond to create something incredibly special. The room was beautifully decorated with balloons and rose petals, and she had even arranged a handwritten card, a birthday cake and a bottle of pink prosecco. My mom burst into tears and, if I'm honest, I was not far behind. The amount of thought, care and effort that had gone into everything was overwhelming. It wasn't something she had to do, but she did it anyway, and it made what was already a special trip into a memory that we will treasure forever. My mom is a cancer survivor and, because of everything she has been through, we never take these moments for granted. What Divine did for us may have seemed like a small gesture to her, but it meant the world to us and is something we will never forget. Divine, meeting you was one of the highlights of our trip. Even now, months later, my mom and I still talk about you and the kindness you showed us. Thank you for making her birthday so special and for showing such genuine care. To Divine and the entire team at The Montcalm, thank you for an unforgettable stay. We wish you all the very best and send our love and thanks. If our paths ever cross again (which I sincerely hope they do), we will be delighted.
Customer service, and food
Room not modern
Breakfast was very good.
Having previously confirmed we wanted a double and a twin room a week prior to arriving as booked, we arrived 11AM and given a room that was made up as a double with a bathroom for disabled people. We went out to a wedding having confirmed the arrangements at the reception desk. Returning about 10PM the other room, the twin room was in fact made as a double bed. So, at this late hour, my wife and I had to move our luggage to this double room which left us with no twin room. This meant our two adult children had no room and by which time 11PM we were all very tired. Initially we were told there was no twin room but one was eventually found. The reception desk had also informed us that the roof top bar was open until 12AM so we came back from the wedding specifically to have a drink but in fact the bar was closed. Then the next afternoon I went to have a drink at the roof top bar and despite their being empty seats was told there was no availability outside. There was a private function that accounted for half the empty seats but not the remaining ones. Additionally, I came to use the gym to be told it was closed and the hotel had one which i could go to 10 minutes away! The manager did their best to apologise and most staff were friendly but it was an awful experience.
Lovely breakfast, very comfortable room, great roof top bar.
Roof top bar service a bit lacking. Tables needed clearing and had to ask a couple of times before we got served.
I was pleasantly surprised by how spacious the room was. It was clean and comfortable. I heard very little noise even though I was close to the elevator. As I was working long days, I ate breakfast upstairs twice and also ate in the cafe downstairs. The breakfast was quite good - a hybrid buffet with nice fruit, cheese, smoked salmon, pastries and yogurt as well as some hot options. I was also able to order eggs and toast. The cafe was fine for dinner, but nothing to write home about. Both were quite expensive. The staff was well-trained, helpful, and friendly.
I stayed at this hotel for one night with my friend to celebrate my birthday, and we absolutely loved every moment of our stay. From the reception team to the rooftop and restaurant staff, everyone was incredibly polite, friendly, kind, and helpful. They made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. I booked this hotel to enjoy my birthday with drinks on the rooftop and brunch in the restaurant, and it exceeded all my expectations. The biggest surprise was opening the door to my room and seeing the beautiful birthday decoration. I wasn’t expecting it at all, and it truly made my day. A very special thank you to Mihir for taking such great care in decorating my room and arranging the thoughtful birthday surprises. It made my celebration even more memorable. A special thank you also to Giulio, who managed to find us a table on the rooftop with a beautiful view for taking birthday photos, even though all the tables were fully booked. We really appreciated the extra effort he made for us. The breakfast was delicious, and we also had dinner on the rooftop, where there was a DJ creating a fantastic atmosphere. We had such an amazing time. The location is another huge advantage. It’s only about a 10-minute walk from Liverpool Street Station, the bus stop is right outside the hotel, and many famous attractions are within around a 20-minute walk. I honestly can’t say a single negative thing about this hotel. Everything was perfect, and I’m so grateful to all the staff for making my birthday so special. I will definitely come back and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a memorable stay in London.
Great location, friendly staff a lovely hotel.

Absolutely brilliant. Josh at check in was fantastic and I recommended this hotel to anyone. Great service and nothing is too much trouble
Lovely hotel and location .
Service and breakfast was great
The phone in the room wasn’t working properly causing issues with calling room service and reception - the aircon wasn’t working as expected was meant to be 18 degrees according to the panel but we couldn’t hear or feel the air on and were pretty hot and sweaty all night. Not a great night sleep. We asked for a fix but nothing by was done.
Location, staff were very helpful and gave us late check out and breakfast for free as it was our first visit. Made us feel very valued as a customer and treated us how I would expect in a 5 star hotel
We decided to stay at this hotel as we initially wanted to stay at the St Pancras hotel but this was fully booked and wanted to stay at a 5 star hotel that had a Spa and pool and this looked like a similar level hotel, didn't find out until arrival that the spa was closed on our visit, also a few other minor things about the room and roof top restaurant made us feel this isn't really up to 5 star hotel standards, 5 star in my book should be absolutely perfect in every way.
Ausstattung, bequeme Betten, ausgezeichnete Qualität des Frühstücks
Very clean, comfy beds, fabulous breakfast, lovely staff. Good AC! Temperatures were in the 30’s. So very hot!
Several lifts out of order over the two days we stayed. Total mix up with the rooms, billing and payment allocation.
We had a wonderful stay for my partners 30th birthday. The staff went out of their way to make it a memorable experience. I am extremely grateful for Myroslava and the rest of the lovely staff for the excellent hospitality. The hotel is in an excellent location and has wonderful facilities to match. Would highly recommend
The Spa was excellent.
Our shower did not work and the sink did not drain away properly. However they did fix it when asked. we booked the room for 3 people but had to ask for the room to be made up. We had to ask for extra towels and when we asked if house keeping could take away all our wet towels the first day. the didn't but gave us fresh towels. on our second day we had to ask again for house keeping to service the room, this was only particularly done. We had to ask for fresh glasses as the never took the dirty ones away just left them in the sink. At this stage I was tired of having to ask for items in the room we would keep say we would need 3 towels r 3 sets of glasses but only receive 2 so would have to ask again. MAs we were having to ask so much for basic services we did not mention the crusty stain on the carpet so we felt like the only thing we were doing was complain every day. zthe steamer in the room spat out all brown water when I was pressing my husbands shirt for my daughters graduation so back down to reception again to complain yet, this time to be fair the replaced the shirt within 30 mins thank god or thr graduation photos would have been ruined. The whole experience was definitely not what was expected at a 5 star hotel. The air-conditioning was also set to freezing cold even in the excessive heat we had our room was so cold we slept with our cardigans and dressing gown on. As I said before it got to the stage the it just felt way to awkward to keep having to either ring or do down to reception to complain. This is definitely not value for money.
Staff were brilliant, I was travelling with a child on my own and they couldn't do more to help. Great facilities, great location, great breakfast, great hotel.
Nothing, loved it.
Great location, 3 minutes walk from Liverpool St/ Moorgate stations. On Elizabeth Line from Heathrow. Rooftop bar and restaurant was super. Service was excellent.
Pillows weren’t great, no draft beer during hot weather.
Perfect staff, perfect location, amazing rooftop bar
Be careful with your drinks at the rooftop, the bartenders skills can go from amazing to crap
Lovely experience

We recently stayed at Montcalm Royal House and, overall, had a lovely stay. The hotel itself is beautiful, the spa facilities were excellent, the rooftop terrace was a real highlight, and breakfast was fantastic. The staff we encountered during our stay were friendly, and we left with very positive memories. Unfortunately, those memories have been overshadowed by what happened after we checked out. We accidentally left a pair of hair straighteners, worth around £200, in our room. We realised our mistake the same day and contacted the hotel immediately. We were confident they had been left in the room, yet we were told that housekeeping had not found them. Since then, we've made numerous phone calls, been assured that further checks would be carried out, and have even been asked on two separate occasions to email the details, only to receive no response. We completely understand that mistakes can happen and appreciate that not every lost item is recovered. However, what has been most disappointing is the lack of communication and apparent lack of urgency in dealing with our concerns. Being repeatedly told someone would get back to us, only to hear nothing, has left us feeling ignored and as though our issue simply isn't important. For a five-star hotel, we expected a much higher standard of customer service after our stay. A clear explanation, regular updates, or even a sincere acknowledgement of our concerns would have gone a long way. It's a real shame because our stay itself was genuinely enjoyable, but the way this situation has been handled has left a sour ending to what should have been an excellent experience
Great location for Liverpool Street, the central / circle line and the East End. Staff were lovely. The Aviary bar on the roof offered great views , good cocktails and a nice atmosphere.
High floor rooms are superior, recently refurbished. Lower floor room that we were initially allocated was dark and the A.C. wasn't working.
Absolutely loved our stay at the Montcalm Royal all the staff were so friendly and helpful we will definately go back to this hotel .. the reception staff go above and beyond and say hi to Yorkshire Paul on the door great Guy!! Cheryl n Derek Boyd Bridlington.
Lovely cool hotel with excellent staff, particularly Paul on the door.
Everything was great. From the staff, location, facilities, room and great for the price! I normally stay here when I come to London and I’m always happy
Nothing really
This hotel was absolutely fantastic. The staff are an absolute credit to the hotel: from the man who took our suitcases at the door, Mihir who decorated our room with balloons, rose petals, Prosecco and cake, to the staff at the reception desk- they were so friendly and went above and beyond. The roof top breakfast was also a massive highlight with breathtaking views amazing food and again fantastic staff. The spa was also great and we were even allowed to use it after checking out. I will definitely be back and will recommend the hotel to all my friends and family.
Everything!! One of the best hotels I've stayed at in London. Booked it for my birthday, I was given a complimentary cake and breakfast. Great customer service all round. Breakfast was really good. Spa facilities were also very nice. I had a very relaxing massage. I also loved the rooftop space.
Only one of the lifts was working.
THE STAFF WERE VERY NICE- THE DOORMAN , THE BREAKFAST WAS VERY GOOD , AND THE BREAKFAST TEAM WERE REALLY EXCELLENT -NICE , ATTENTIVE ,EFFICIENT
WE BOOKED THE HOTEL IN ADVANCE- UNFORTUNALLY THE DIDN'Y TELL US THEY WERE RENOVATING. IF WE KNEW , WE WOULDN'T HAVE COME. THE SMELL, THE DUST, THE NOISE WE DID OUR BEST TO STAY OUT OF THE HOTEL SO OBVIOUSLY WE DIDN'T USE ANY OF THE FACILITIES ...WE STAYED AT THE NINTJH FLOOR AND THEY HAVE A BAR ON THE ROOF, WERE THE HAD PARTIES AND D.J MUSIC
It was a very enjoyable stay. The staff was so friendly and as soon as you go in it smells really good
Not much all good
Fantastic hotel. Lovely food at breakfast time. The service from all of the staff at the hotel was excellent. Especially Marc at the front door.
