Staff were lovely. Location great. Parking good. Spa amazing!!!
Towels were dirty in our room, hair left in the bath, had to clean it before use
Lovely building and location.
The location , the spa , the food , the staff all great .
Finding out an included breakfast only includes some things and others including full English was extra. Not getting a robe with the classic room when using the spa even when paid for treatments. Also finding out on a 2 night spa break you are only entitled to 1 hour spa per day when in a classic room.
Beautiful semi rural setting
No spa treatment availability
Food was good. Staff friendly
Room was. Disappointing. Extract on roof right outside room ran all night couldn't sleep.
Lovely hotel, staff very pleasant and helpful. We had a classic room which was ideal for our 1 night stay. Booked for dinner in advance which is advisable as the restaurant was quite busy. A good menu choice, presentation and service was very good. Used the spa facilities on our arrival. Would definitely stay here again

Old and stately
Our bedroom. Definitely not cozy as your advertising states with supposedly finishing touches. Our bedroom just had white sheets/duvet, no colourful over blanket, couldn’t see out of any windows due to privacy screening. The money we paid for the room was very excessive. Also there needs to be warning that the water runs excessively hot.
Staff were very helpful and pleasent. Cleanliness of room and excellent spa facilities..staff even brought sausages for our dog at breakfast time..
Room was a little small with a pet. Only one disabled parking spot in carpark ... There was an extra payment needed if you wanted a full English breakfast after we had booked with breakfast included..
A very pleasant environment
ev chargeer didnt work
Lovely peaceful hotel, great facilities friendly staff, great food
Theres nothing to not like!!
Breakfast was excellent Room a little small for the money but spotless.
Liked everything
Convenient location for Gloucester and Cheltenham.
Expensive. Rooms tired. Bathrooms very dated. Breakfast average. We were expecting more from what appears to be a premium venue, charging premium rates.
The staff was absolutely amazing.food was great loved staying there.Would recommend it 100%

Nothing,completely shambles.
Dear Hatherley Manor Hotel Management, I am writing to make a formal complaint regarding the unacceptable conditions we have experienced during our stay at Hatherley Manor Hotel, Gloucester. A very strong and persistent smell of cannabis has been entering our bedroom through the open window. This is particularly unacceptable given that we are staying with our 4-year-old child, whose bed is positioned directly beside the window. The situation is made considerably worse by the fact that there is no air conditioning in the room, meaning that we have little choice but to keep the window open to obtain adequate ventilation. As a result, the smell of cannabis has repeatedly entered the room and has made the environment extremely unpleasant and unsuitable for our young child. I find this wholly unacceptable, particularly given that the hotel advertises and operates a non-smoking policy. Guests should reasonably expect that this policy is properly enforced and that they will not be exposed to strong cannabis fumes within their accommodation. This is not simply a minor inconvenience or an unpleasant smell. We have a young child sleeping beside the window, and we should not have to choose between keeping the room ventilated and allowing a strong cannabis odour to enter the room. We have paid for accommodation and have a reasonable expectation of being provided with a clean, comfortable and suitable environment. I am therefore requesting that management investigate this matter immediately, establish where the cannabis odour is originating from, and take whatever reasonable steps are necessary to prevent it from continuing. I would also like a clear explanation of how the hotel's non-smoking policy is being enforced and why we have been subjected to this situation.
The spa, the staff were really good and friendly
The bed was uncomfortable the bathroom smelt off mould the WiFi was very slow the plug sockets unexpectedly turned off in the morning for a couple hours and the balcony was uncleaned with dead bugs, cob webs and cigarettes ash all over the window sill and the floor
Spa was amazing
Lumpy bed and hard pillows, no GF options for breakfast
Rooms in the old part are dated and not maintained. This hotel ignores all reviews. There has been things mentioned in previous reviews about stains on carpets and grout missing on floor tiles and nothing has been done about it. Very disappointing. Also they have a resident cat not great if you are allergic.
Beautiful setting lovely facilities
Overall, a disappointing stay. The hotel is visually appealing from the outside and is set in a beautiful location, but unfortunately, the experience goes downhill once you step inside. The reception staff were friendly and welcoming, and the room initially looked pleasant enough. However, there were several holes in the duvet, which is not something you would expect from a hotel at this price point. The room was also extremely warm at night. When I went to switch the fan on, the protective casing fell off, which could potentially have caused an injury. Thankfully, it was me who switched it on rather than a child. Leaving the window open wasn’t really an option either, as there was what I assume were generators running nearby throughout the night, making it difficult to sleep. The spa was definitely the highlight of the stay. The facilities, including the pool, jacuzzi and sauna, were lovely and provided a much more relaxing experience. The treatment was also enjoyable and was one of the few aspects of the stay that I would genuinely recommend. Breakfast was another disappointment. A full English came at an additional charge, which seemed excessive given the room rate. We also had to wait quite a while for an Eggs Benedict to arrive. Overall, while the hotel has a lot of potential due to its beautiful setting and the spa facilities, the standard of the room and the overall experience didn’t match the price. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend staying here and would not return.
Good value for money, recommend for a spa getaway. We had a lovely ‘superior spa’ room which was very clean and comfortable with a great bed. The balconies overlook the outside spa area/event garden so don’t have much privacy. The option to pay for early check in / late check out is good value especially for maximising time in the spa. The spa is excellent. Feels clean and well kept, with a very nice pool, jacuzzi, sauna & steam room facilities. The big pressure jets in jacuzzi weren’t working on our stay but still a great well-sized tub. Had an excellent massage treatment but make sure you book far in advance. We had a lovely dinner with tasty food. Breakfast is a bit disappointing - good continental (though missing a granola option) but a small menu with a supplement for dishes you would expect included when paying for B&B. All the staff we encountered were really nice and helpful, also very professional when we saw them having to deal with some difficult guests.
very nice and calming
Lovely Spa facilities, very relaxing. Nice touch having a robe and flip flops. Beautiful grounds. Staff were accommodating.
Food was OK. Cocktails we ordered were not very good.
Had a gorgeous day at the spa yesterday! Lovely treatment from Emily, which I would highly recommend. Robes, slippers and towels provided. Was clean, smelt amazing and felt a nice relaxing place to be! Staff were professional and overall atmosphere was lovely. Get something booked! Treat yourself!
Very relaxing spa day…. Just what was needed after a busy few days! Had a facial and back massage treatment which was delightful. Would definitely go again x

Loved the accommodation, really peaceful surroundings. Breakfast was great, the staff are all awesome.
We couldn’t get a lounger, which was a real shame as my husband had a super massage and wanted to relax afterwards, unfortunately no loungers available so we went back to our room.
Thank you so much to all the staff at Hatherly Manor. You did the most wonderful job for our Style for Soldiers Summer Dinner for the 10th year running and as ever created such a happy , relaxed and supportive environment for our deserving injured service men , women and their partners. Dinner was delicious as was the champagne reception in the lovely garden with views of the Cotswolds all around. Thank you all, we had a truly special evening with exceptionally friendly and helpful service.
Booked a one night stay for my birthday. The room was spotless and the fan that was in the wardrobe was greatly appreciated. The spa was very well appointed and the changing rooms had great showers with Elemis products, a costume dryer, hair dryers and straighteners on request. We booked an evening meal in the restaurant which was very nice although as it was 30°+, it would have been nice to have some nice salad options. Unfortunately our drinks order didn't go through so they arrived when we were halfway through our main course. There was a good choice for breakfast and all hot food was freshly cooked. Would definitely stay again.
We got married at Hatherley on 7 August and they really did deliver us a magical day. So much attention to detail from start to finish, lovely staff, beautiful venue and wonderful food. Would recommend to anyone.
We found the beds comfortable but the room was highly disappointing, we booked a room with a balcony that you could not access the room was very standard for the price.
I found out when entering the property they have a cat, that should of been highlighted when booking. I questioned this with reception who really didnt give a care in the world im really scared of them and straight away it caused me to be scared and anxious. Also the breakfast was very limited to hot food options, my eggs came hardly cooked I had to ask them for new ones and to make sure they were cooked longer. The room was absolutely red hot if the balcony was accessible that would of been so much better. Over all we didnt think the price was worth it.we had travelled 3 hours to stay here it wasn't worth it at all.
Beautiful room, staff were great, lovely setting can spend a few days and nights here to relax
Spa and facilities were nice. Food was amazing
Had no electricity in the room apart from the bathroom light. Tv had no WiFi. Called reception 3 times and the issue was not resolved. Not offered any sort of goodwill as an apology. Will have no choice but to make a complaint
Lovely setting, great staff. Wanted to go somewhere relaxing which it was. Comfortable room. Excellent breakfast.
Felt the evening meal menu was quite limited and expensive. Would have liked a choice of some lighter bites
Very friendly staff. Restaurant were very helpful removing garlic from Chicken Supreme
Spa was rather full.
Leisure facilities and restaurant was excellent
Only one thing, it could do with a lift.
Had a fantastic midweek evening at Hatherley Manor with friends. The restaurant menu has really improved since my last visit, and the food was excellent from start to finish. The starters, mains and desserts were all full of flavour and cooked perfectly to our requests. The bar and waiting staff were attentive, welcoming and friendly throughout, which made the whole evening even more enjoyable. Overall, a great dining experience and a big improvement from my previous visit. I’d happily recommend Hatherley Manor and will definitely be returning.
I visited Hatherley Manor on a business trip and was genuinely surprised by how high-end and impressive the facilities were. I spent some time in the spa on a Thursday evening and the pool, sauna and steam room were excellent — and, despite being an evening, it wasn’t overcrowded at all. Afterwards, I ate with a work colleague in the lounge area, choosing a few dishes from the restaurant menu. The food was honestly some of the best I’ve had in a very long time. The lounge itself was cosy, comfortable and had a great atmosphere. I can imagine it being an especially lovely place to spend time during the winter months. What really stood out, though, was the quality of the service. From arriving to leaving, every member of staff we encountered was friendly, welcoming and genuinely made me want to come back. The combination of the gym, pool, sauna, jacuzzi and steam room also makes it an ideal place for a business trip, as you can finish work, use the facilities and have a great meal without needing to leave the hotel. In fact, my experience was good enough that I’ve already booked to return for Cheltenham Race Week with my partner. A fantastic overall experience — excellent facilities, outstanding food and genuinely great service. I’d definitely recommend Hatherley Manor and look forward to returning in a few weeks time.
Staff are so friendly and efficient without being efficious. Superb location, ideal space to walk the dog and plenty of options for sitting with him indoors too. Access to the spa was welcome surprise, and enjoyed! The evening meal was excellently cooked, my linguine was outstanding and her Shnitzel as well. Breakfast was tasty and well presented.
Nothing!
The grounds
Beautiful surroundings and building Lovely food and friendly staff Spa area beautiful Bed comfortable
The view from our room was onto a roof where there were noisy generators / machinery so unable to leave window open. Window double glazing blown so unable to see through it !! Room very stuffy and basic Occasional cushion on bed grubby . No water in rooms
An overnight stay as a treat to have some alone time. Really enjoyed the stay. Dinner was absolutely amazing and the nicest I've had in a long time with the best quality food and service to match. Attentive and friendly staff. And..... a Chablis to die for. Linen table cloths and serviettes with very clean cutlery and glasses too. This was then followed with a relaxing freshly cooked breakfast this morning. For sure we will return and utilise the spa next time. Thank you The Thorburns.
Booked 2 nights whilst working in Gloucester. Didn't expect much as price was decent. Very surprised as it was a beautiful place. Spa facilities were excellent and very clean. Room was pretty basic but again clea. Breakfast decent as well. I would definitely go back. Highly recommended
I stayed at the hotel with the ACE Group few days ago and everything was more than I expected. The room was always clean and the food was amazing. However I would like to praise the young staff member whose name starts with B and I called him Bib & he was telling he is new.He was always smiling, friendly, and helpful at breakfast, dinner, and the bar. His positive attitude and excellent service made our stay even more enjoyable. His cheerful personality never faded, and it was clear that he takes great pride in his work. Employees like him create memorable experiences and represent the hotel in the best possible way. He is a wonderful example of outstanding customer service and deserves recognition for his dedication and excellent work.We will definitely come back in the future. Thank you for your kindness and dedication!
The receptionist that booked us in was absolutely lovely.
No real early breakfast options
The staff were extremely accommodating to us having our younger daughter with us, extremely helpful and just a beautiful place to stay
The spa was definitely a highlight. It was lovely to relax in the pool and the hot tub, to make use of the sauna, steam room, and tepidarium, and to try out the ‘experience showers’ with the tropical storm option. It was also nice that guests can sit outside on sun loungers. Only thing I would change would be the time restrictions; we were only allowed 1 hour of spa use per night because of the type of room we paid for. The room was another highlight. For the price we paid (£55pppn), it was extremely good value for money. The bed was lovely and comfy (I slept better than I do in my own bed), while the bathroom was sleek and elegant. I did not use the bath but it was spacious. My only complaint is that the room had no through-flow of air, but the hotel provides a fan in case it got too warm.
The excess charges. I was especially unhappy about the fact that two coca colas set me back a staggering £9.30 (£4.65 for a single Coca Cola! Seriously?!). I was also disappointed that a cooked breakfast was not included on the free breakfast options. That cost me another £5.
I had my 50th birthday party in a function room at the venue. We were really pleased with the service right from the initial email to packing away at the end of the evening. The venue is really nice and it has lots of parking and lovely outdoor space. The food was great and the staff are super helpful. The staff went above and beyond what you might expect, for example they rustled up a gluten free meal with no notice, that I had forgotten about.
We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better wedding coordinator than Geri. From the moment we met her, she was so warm, kind, and reassuring. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and she handled every little detail so calmly and professionally. Throughout the whole process she was incredibly organised, attentive, and always one step ahead, making sure everything ran exactly as we had hoped. On the day itself, she made us and our families feel completely at ease, and so many of our guests commented on how lovely she was. Geri truly went above and beyond to make our day special, and we’re so grateful for all of her hard work and support. Thank you for helping create such wonderful memories. we couldn’t recommend you highly enough!
We had a lovely family wedding at the hotel. The venue was spectacular and can’t thank Geri and the team enough for going above and beyond and making sure all of guests had a wonderful experience and giving the bride and groom such a lovely day!
Myself and a Friend recently booked an overnight stay here for a belated birthday treat, and it exceeded every expectation. Our room was clean, and had twin beds that were so comfy! The spa facilities are stunning . The hydrotherapy pool, steam room, and sauna were spotless and uncrowded. I booked a full body massage, followed by a facial, and the therapist was incredibly professional, tailoring the treatment perfectly to my skin type, I would definitely book in with molly again! The relaxation room afterwards was the perfect place to unwind with a chilled water Later that night we enjoyed a dinner at the hotel restaurant which was delicious and Breakfast the next morning offered loads of options so we were spoilt for choice. If I could make one change it would be nice to receive a product list after my treatment so I loved the cleanser but was unsure which one was used.
Everything it was such an amazing time
Can’t say anything as loved the experience
Location Manor it’s self
The location, Gloucester is great location we manage to combine relaxing int he spa with walk around the docks or on the hill
Room was clean although outside ares e.g. balcony could use some extra attention as there were a lot of spider webs
I love a good spa day, and this is one of my favourite places to go! My friend and I went a few Sundays ago for some downtime & a catch up. The receptionist was really friendly & helpful. The spa was super quiet - what a treat! We had a cream tea which was super yummy, warm too. The perfect Sunday afternoon! I will be back!!
The staff are friendly and pleasant. However, the hotel room was tired and needs a make over. The spa was terribly dissapointing very rundown. From the disco lights in the steam room to the paint peeling off the ceilling, this was not of quality. In the saun, the one plank was out of place. I would rate this more as a 3 star due to the standard of the facilities.
This hotel is totally focusing on weddings and their guests. Seemed very strange to limit the amount of time in the spa when you are paying to come to a hotel and spa as a couple for the weekend
We were extremely disappointed with the hotel. It is very run down and in desperate need of a complete refurbishment. We checked into our room but left within 30 minutes because there was simply no way we could stay there. The room had no air conditioning despite the high temperatures. A fan was provided, but it was incredibly noisy and made very little difference, leaving the room unbearably hot. The hallways were lined with piles of dirty bed linen, which guests had to step over. Not only did this look very poor, but it also presented a clear health and safety hazard. Before leaving, we had a look at the spa facilities in the hope of salvaging something from our visit. Unfortunately, it was extremely overcrowded. Every sunbed was occupied by towels rather than guests, and a large group celebrating an occasion had taken over much of the space. As a result, there was no opportunity to relax or use the facilities. Having stayed in many 4- and 5-star hotels, I can honestly say this hotel falls well below the standard I would expect. The only positive aspect of our experience was the staff, who were all polite, friendly from our interactions with them prior to arrival and checking in. Overall, this hotel did not meet our expectations, and we would not return or recommend it without significant improvements.
The hotel hosted our company summer party and I have to say, we were thrilled with the quality of the event. Ash and team served the most delicious range of tasty bbq food. Georgia, Bibek and Freddie looked after us with a smile and professional drinks service throughout the evening. Thank you.
We had our wedding reception at Hatherley Manor 40 years ago and last weekend we went back to celebrate our Ruby Wedding. It was exceptional! The whole day was wonderful and we can't praise the staff enough. John looked after us on the day and made sure everything went smoothly and that made such a difference. The food was delicious and served by some lovely ladies. We couldn't have asked for more and we will have fabulous memories to look back on. Thank you so much to all involved
Nice Staff, nice location just all around great places to stay
A group of family stayed here for one night. The young lady on reception was very welcoming and could not do enough for us. Everything was great, Nice clean rooms, breakfast was nice. Some of us booked through hotels.com and others booked direct with the hotel, to be honest there was not much difference in price. However, the hotel.com guests got the cheap seats! Rooms were allocated on the ground floor which had no view apart from a brick wall. The guests who booked direct had lovely rooms with a view. I recommend booking direct with the hotel.
I stayed at Hatherley Manor last month for a business trip and had a very pleasant stay overall. The staff were wonderful from check-in to check-out—extremely friendly, helpful, and welcoming throughout my visit. My room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, providing a great place to unwind and get some rest after work. In the evening, I enjoyed a few drinks at the bar, which had a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. Breakfast the next morning was okay—nothing out of the ordinary, but decent enough to get the day started. Overall, it's a lovely venue for a business trip, and I'd happily stay here again when back in the area!
Very welcoming, comfortable and relaxing
Would have liked some help with getting my case upstairs Breakfast was disappointing
Nothing going to a wedding nearest hotel yo stay at.
Very dated No air conditioning!!! Really should be a 3 star Windows could not open much and no air circulating in the tool only a top opener on the window . 2/10 Needs more sockets in rooms too !!!
Spa was amazing, beautiful deluxe room. Comfy bed. Loved seeing Hattie the cat!
I stayed here for my birthday, notified them but nothing special was done despite requesting.
Location, grounds superb, attentive staff, amazing facilities. Resident cat very cute, especially as it greeted us for breakfast in reception!
Very warm, though not a downside, property built long before the invention of Aircon!
Nearest hotel to a wedding in the area
Everything No place to get changed before the wedding only in the spa option 🤦♀️
Wonderful location, so quiet Staff were so friendly and couldn't do enough to help. We had the bridal suite which is wonderful and spotlessly clean Food is of great quality and very good value for money Spa was fantastic, we had a massage which was so relaxing We can't wait to come back
the treatments we amazing, Mya and Sabrina were incredible spa was nice but...see below staff on reception helpful lots of carparking good location
breakfast was poor for the price, staff trying their best, options poor, having to pay for normal breakfast at that room rate is poor bar closed at 10pm, had to call night porter and he didn't know how to do drinks, like cocktails lost bracelet as they took robe that was hung up, they said they went to look and never came back to us some of spa not working, disco light in steam room...who wants that!
Spa was lovely, food was good, staff were helpful.
Room was very hot - no aircon - and the fan didn't do much to cool it down so we didn't sleep well
Lovely hotel with good spa facilities and staff were very friendly and helpful.
Due to the hot weather the rooms were hot but fans were provided.
Exterior is nice spa facilities are decent
Its not what I expected. Room design was not what I imagined from photos. The view terrible. Once we asked to change the room as it was really too small and I paid for bigger room. Staff downplayed it and did not even say sorry just offered another room casually. That was closer to description of what I paid for. But both rooms had absolutely no view first one was to the roof full of external AC units and given the temperature you had to have a window open, but you cannot as its too noisy and the second room was to inner patio path but essentially straight to the wall. Really unpleasant. Also did not get offered a fan after we changed the room. And NOTE booking filters this hotel and shows that there is AC but bedrooms does NOT have any. Also if there is catering event and you are on the first floor corridors have intense smell of food which is not a pleasant experience if you are a bit sensitive.
Great location, ideally situated to visit Cheltenham. 7 mins from a great pub to watch the football. Loved the spa, enjoyed 2 hrs in the pool, jacuzzi, steam room and then sunned ourselves outside as weather was hot! Staff were all delightful, all super helpful and friendly. Loved the grounds, the bar and breakfast was great.
The only small thing was lack of air con. We had read reviews and brought extra fans. But it was exceptionally hot in our room making it very difficult to sleep. Not a lot could be done about this I guess!
The location was absolutely beautiful
Everything building & gardens
Very much enjoyed a girls night away here. Beautiful grounds with space to walk or sit and relax under a tree. Food from bar was delicious, and breakfast was yummy, if a little busy. Spa facilities were excellent. One of the best indoor spas I've had the pleasure of visiting in a while.
Great location. Breakfast was lovely
Rooms were very tired and basic. Definitely not worth the money we paid.
Great settings made to feel at ease
No air conditioning
Room was great. Clean, Comfortable and spacious
Nothing I can think of
Lovely country hotel
Charged extra £5 for English breakfast that wasn’t nice at all when we payed for breakfast when booking
Still waiting for the £27 refund promised by Harry the manager in Feb 26. I've sent him 27 emails so far but seems he has lost his tongue. Come on Harry , cough up!
Decent breakfast Decent shower head Friendly staff
Uncomfortable mattress Hotel cat (allergies) Basic/ flavorless yet expensive dinner No A/C in the bedroom Shower curtain
Beautiful property with excellent facilities. Every member of staff was incredible, polite, friendly and super helpful.
We couldn’t find a single fault!
Beautiful countryside scenery. When the staff did give you attention they were nice.
Bit dated, staff were always busy. Food was average and expensive
Good room. Enjoyed the Spa and facilities Nice location
The restaurant could be better
Meals we had were adequate, the area around the spa garden needed sorting, weeds growing out of the path made it look neglected, bar area looks a little dated.
Windows that open! Breakfast included, handy restaurant, all surrounded by fields. Lady Hattie, the cat.
We went to go for a walk after dinner - despite green surrounds, not really anything set up for walking.
Pool and spa facilities were nice and the staff were helpful.
Rooms had no air conditioning of any sort and events on at the same time as our stay meant the evening was quite noisy.
Spa weekend. The rooms were spacious and clean. The bathroom was clean and well set out with lovely thick towels, bathrobes and flip flops for the spa. Set in beautiful grounds and easily found travelling from Wales. Excellent service in the restaurants, bar and spa. Great choice on the menu. Friendly and helpful staff
I recently visited the spa with my sister for her birthday and a couple of friends. It was a boiling hot day and the spa staff accommodated our needs brilliantly - Abi continued to 'check in' with us and helped made the day really lovely. My sister also said it was the best pasta dish she had ever eaten and was like 'Michelin star!'Thank you
Where do we even begin? From the moment we started planning our wedding celebration, everyone at Hatherley Manor made us feel so special, and we truly couldn’t have chosen a more perfect venue. Beth was absolutely incredible throughout the entire planning process. She was always there to answer our questions, offer reassurance, and make everything feel so easy. Her kindness, professionalism, and genuine care took away so much of the stress, and we always felt like we were in the best hands. On the day itself, Geri was simply outstanding. She went above and beyond in every possible way to make sure our celebration was everything we had dreamed of. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and her warmth, attention to detail, and dedication made the entire day feel so effortless. Because of her, we were able to relax, be present, and soak up every single moment with our family and friends. She made our day unforgettable and brought every little detail together exactly as we had imagined. Hatherley Manor itself is absolutely breathtaking. The venue is beautiful inside and out, creating the most perfect setting for such a special occasion. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about how stunning it was. The whole experience, from our first enquiry through to the end of the celebration, was seamless. We felt genuinely cared for every step of the way, and that meant the world to us. We honestly couldn’t have asked for anything more. Our wedding celebration was everything we had hoped for and so much more—it was truly perfect. We will treasure the memories we made at Hatherley Manor for the rest of our lives, and we can’t thank Beth, Geri, and the entire team enough for making one of the most important days of our lives so incredibly special. Thank you again Mr and Mrs Goddard
Lovely property, great location.
The look, the location.
Spa facilities & swimming pool. Location and grounds were good. Ample free parking. Breakfast was good.
Very limited range of beers. Classic room is quite small and basic but expensive. There was no air conditioning in the room and no fan.
The location was great. The spa was nice.
It could have been so much better with a bit more management. The spa garden was overgrown with weeds on the patio where you sit outside. The hotel seemed to have a shortage of bar staff and reception wasn’t always maned. There were prom parties on the Friday and the music was so loud till 11pm. A lot of people were complaining and moved rooms. We waited nearly an hour for dinner twice in the restaurant. The staff seemed to do their best and were pleasant and apologetic but service speed didn’t improve.
Breakfast was included and the service and food was great
There was nothing that I did not like.
We loved this hotel - old merged with new seamlessly- wonderful grounds and marvellous spa
We moved rooms from room where we could hear air on from kitchens/service rooms, and paid for up grade - money well spent we thought 👍
