Parking area is not very large but they’ve got a few novel ideas to work around that.

No complaints! I would say for folks with mobility issues—stairs are steep and it is uphill to get to the property.

This is a beautiful small hotel with a great classic charm, situated right in the center of town. The front desk staff was very friendly. While the room was on the smaller side, it was well-equipped and provided all the necessities. Having breakfast in either the front garden or on the nice back terrace was a highlight of our stay.

We liked the character and ambience. Great location and very clean . Our suite was very spacious, and comfortable.

3 parking spaces seemed a bit few for a hotel but they did cover costs for metered parking so it was ok for us. The Folgers and Tim’s coffee pods really are bad coffee but around the corner is Osso Negro coffee shop which was great.

I really enjoyed the location and proximity to downtown.

Great location, really cool older building. Bed was comfortable and the bathroom had a really nice shower.

Beautiful heritage hotel. Large, spacious, beautifully appointed rooms. Exceptionally comfortable king bed. Private treed patio. Centrally located; walk everywhere. Made our stay in Nelson very pleasant.

Parking can pose a challenge. There are eight rooms but only four parking spots behind the hotel. "Free" street parking from 15:00-11:00; otherwise paid and limited to 2 hours in front of hotel. Stairs my be difficult for some people too.

Everything! Comfortable room. Lovely outside deck, perfect for a sunny afternoon. Quiet location.

The location was excellent close to the main shopping center. I liked that the room was spacious.

There is only 4 parking places in the dedicated spaces in the alley. Of course they were all full when we tried to check in and then had to park on the street. The hotel said they would pay for the meters but that was somewhat inconvenient since there were quite a few stairs to climb back and forth.

Geweldige locatie in de stad; alles is op loopafstand. Het personeel was zeer vriendelijk en het hotel voelt alsof je thuis bent gekomen. Mooi achterdek waar je in de ochtend of avond kan zitten. Kamer was mooi opgezet en comfortabel. Heerlijke douche.

Nothing that would of spoiled our stay but if you are not able to do stairs with luggage you might find it abit difficult.

I loved the location and the boutique feel of this vintage property that is obviously loved and cared for.

It is not great for anyone with mobility issues. Also, parking is at a premium tho they have worked out a system using on-street parking.

De sfeer van het hotel en de omgeving (op korte loopafstand van het charmante centrum). En het was brandschoon. Daarnaast een zeer prettig buitenverblijf aan de achterzijde. Beste verblijf tot nu toe in Canada.

Loved the room and the private glassed in balcony. It was perfect!

I loved the welcome we got and how friendly the staff were. They were extremely helpful and accomodating. The check in was completely hassle free and very easy to come and go without any friction. The room was clean and had enough space. The bed was super comfortable, it was quiet. The welcoming chocolates was a nice touch too.

There really wasn't anything I didn't like and only gave it a less score than perfect on the facilities as a few more decafienated drink and Green Tea options would have been welcome but was fine, really. Maybe a few more coat hangers would be good as two peoples clothes could all be hung up but this is nitpicking.

Wonderful location, beautiful rooms!

We stayed in the Sycamore 2 room and it was amazing! They thought of every possible amenity we might want. I really appreciated creamers in the fridge, robes, a cutting board, etc… We had a sun room attached to our room which we thoroughly enjoyed. The magnolia tree outside our porch was blooming! The location was fantastic. On the edge of the downtown core, with so many amazing restaurants and cute stores 1-5 blocks away. If the parking spots are full, the hotel plugs the meter for you until 11am. Can’t say enough great things about the location, the hotel, and the wonderful staff!

I loved everything about this hotel. In a beautiful, restored old house in a great part of town. The room was so comfy and clean. We were able to walk to so many restaurants and shops. The staff were very helpful and kind. This hotel was one of the best I've ever stayed in. I want to come back. No breakfast, but you know that when you book and there are so many places to get breakfast in just a few minutes' walk.

It would be nice to have better handrails from the upper apartment.

Location and quality of the bed for sleeping was great. Facility and rooms are charmingly appointed and very comfortable. The host upon arrival also was helpful and accessible.

We had a full bed which I mistakenly thought was a queen so it felt a little small - it was properly advertised so my mistake

We were in the Willow suite. My adult son joined us and used the pull out in the living room, which he said was very comfortable. The property is very nicely restored and well equipped . It is comfortable, has good linens, comfortable beds, is very clean and has unique little articles of decor without being cluttered. The best feature was the little sunroom at the front which appears to have been converted from a veranda. We were able to enter and exit through this entry rather than go through the lobby. On exit, there is a nice deck with outdoor furniture, where we had our self provided happy hour one day and breakfast the next.

Only one minor thing... the location of the (very adequate) bathroom requires whoever is occupying the pullout bed to go through the master bedroom. However, this wouldn't stop me from booking this suite again.

The room was really too small, the floor was very noisy, the bed was not very comfortable, and you could hear all the noise from the other rooms

Had a lovely homey feel to it, appreciated the additional shared kitchen facilities ( microwave, kettle, fridge and crockery) . Had some lovely extras included. Also very handy to town only one street back from Baker st.

The room location was great — clean, quiet, and convenient.

However, the central heating system was quite disappointing. It wasn’t turned on until around 12 midnight , and then kept switching on and off throughout the night, which made the room alternately too hot and too cold. I ended up catching a cold the next day, which really affected the experience.

Staff were excellent. One item came up and it was taken care of quickly. Staff also gave us a choice of two rooms. The room was as per the pictures and the bed was very comfy. I can't wait to stay there again. So comfortable and homey and the location was great. It was a quiet time of the year but it seemed like it would be reasonably quiet even in high season.

Someone forgot to finish cleaning the kettle and coffee machine but this may have been due to our room upgrade as we were originally booked in another room and changed upon arrival. It was corrected quickly so no big deal.

Stair access was a bit of a pain but certainly do-able.

What a great place. Loved the proximity to shops and restaurants. Love the vibe of this quaint place. We had the smallest room but it was perfect. Very cozy and comfortable

Great location. We stayed in the Aspen which was quite small. There were 2 small chairs in the room which were useless as was the 5 drawer highboy. No choice but to sit on the bed to watch TV. I would recommend a larger room with furnishings more conducive to the size of the room and the needs of the traveller. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Great location, but our room was smaller than rooms I have stayed in when I was in Tokyo! This is more of a bed and breakfast vibe than a hotel. The bed was small and uncomfortable. And the WiFi was very slow.

A nice and comfy hotel downtown Nelson. We had room marble which was great and had all it needs for a good stay. Hotel is close to the street with good restaurants. We loved the style of the house.

Nothing to complain. People having trouble with stairs should seek advise for room selection, although for the upper rooms there is a good entrance option from the back.

The location was perfect. The patio in back was very comfortable. It was actually nice to have cable tv: we were able to catch our game one night :)

It was a little stuffy, the air conditioner was having a time keeping up. But it was remarkably warm for Nelson while we were there.

Comfortable room , good amenities and very clean. Being described as a boutique hotel I anticipate thick quality towels. Ours needed to be updated as one was thin and frayed. Parking fee coverage offered for street parking until check outcis a nice touch. Didn’t get to use the front terrace or back deck but both seemed attractive for relaxing

This property was extremely clean! Free parking in the back, and a back door to get out to the car. Within walking distance to restaurants and shopping, and right next door a fabulous coffee shop! We were very comfortable!

A lovely stay at a cute and well turned out local hotel. The charm and authentic history comes through in droves. The room we had was lovely, clean and had everything that we could need on hand. The hotel typified Nelson for charm.

Perfect stay. Charming, comfortable, excellent service, walkable and two minutes from the best coffee shop in BC. Three minute walk to Baker Street. I’d stay here again and again.

The Cloudside is immaculate! It is comfortable, the staff is warm and friendly, and the location is perfect. My husband and I enjoyed our stay there and would go back in a minute!

Spent anniversary in Nelson. Location for walking everywhere downtown Nelson was fantastic. Very close to so many restaurants and shops. Room was cute and cozy but quite small. Basically a bedroom with a bathroom but adequate enough for a couple. It was a very unique vibey property with character. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would recommend to others.

The Cloudside Hotel check-in process was a breeze, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The room and bathroom were exceptionally clean, and the bed was comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed the stay and the back deck patio. We will definitely stay here again the next time we are in town.

Must stay. You must stay here. Beautiful, quaint, lovely and clean. The people were super sweet and helpful. They have thought of literally EVERYTHING you could possibly need on your stay. The attention to detail here is top notch. Bed and pillows were super comfy. The location is right off of the Main Street with the best coffee shop right around the corner. Absolute must stay in Nelson. It’s the cutest. We even had a little sun room to have coffee in off our room. There’s a back deck to have an evening glass of wine and they even provide blankets. Loved it. 10 stars

Cloudside is a 2 minute walk from the Main Street of Nelson and offers spectacular views of the mountains with exceptionally restored rooms.

Great location close to downtown but quiet area. Spacious bedroom with a nice separate private sitting room. Very clean and large barhroom well stock. . Overall, we enjoyed it. Very close to the best coffee shop.

The bedroom lighting and the coffee provided could be improved.

I loved the decor , I loved the outdoor patio, I loved the kettle , the microwave and the fridge and utensils. It is spotless and a lot of fun

It is an older building that has been nicely renovated. Attention to detail is evident.
