古き良き建物に宿泊するという体験は新鮮でとても良かったです。古い建物なので、清潔感が心配でしたが、とても綺麗に整備されていて快適な2日間を過ごせました。建物から見下ろせる尾道の景色は素晴らしく、男性のスタッフの方も親切で良かったです。

17:00を過ぎると、ロープウェイが営業終了してしまうため、300段以上ある階段を登らなくてはならない点です。夕食後のいいエクササイズになります。

Fantastique

Astonishing views over the bay and some of the shrines especially during sunrise. It is quite a hike to get up on the hill especially with luggage, but definitely worth it. The house is kept traditional and bathrooms and kitchen are external, but very easily accessible and well usable. The staff is especially kind and was very helpful. There are vouchers you can use for breakfast in house or for towel usage which you get when checking in. They also offer some souvenirs and Japanese literature including about the history of the stay itself. All in all definitely a do again and recommendation to others.

Die Lage dieser Unterkunft ist einzigartig und wunderschön. Unglaubliches Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis komplett allein durch die Lage dieser Unterkunft. Interior und Exterieur in sehr guten Verfassung.

Coupon-System für die Ausgabe von Handtüchern. Check-In-Prozess wurde sehr oberflächlich gehalten.

Fabulous setting, the house is beautiful and with an incredible view over Onomichi bay. The cafe was great and room very comfortable

房間窗戶有有陽台，打開就是尾道絕美的海景，房間很簡單就是塌塌米跟要自己鋪的床，陽台有兩塊坐墊，有像哆啦a夢一樣的拉門櫃，跟殺蟲用的凍結凍結噴霧，其餘沒有任何其他東西，廁所不用下樓，浴室雖然有一段但該有都有，還有廚房洗衣機等很不錯。

房間通往陽臺的拉門可以鎖，但有兩塊小小的透明觀景窗，而陽臺跟隔壁房間雖然有阻擋東西，但其實還是共通的可跨過的，心裡會有一點點小彆扭但畢竟是傳統房屋可以看個人介不介意。隔音差也是肯定的，晚上去上廁所時經過走廊木板也多少會吱吱響，但有交流需求有交誼廳（咖啡廳）可以使用，也早早入睡，倒不覺得是大問題。蟲只有在房門口遇到一次，但整體來說的感受是乾淨的，畢竟在山裡。

太驚艷了，一打開房門進入眼簾的居然是尾道的市景，遠遠俯瞰整個城鎮，加上日式榻榻米，真的超有日式風格的，重點老闆居然預先打開了冷氣，一進去超級舒服超級涼，太貼心了。 最重要的是，隔壁居然自身就是一間咖啡廳，也是可以俯瞰這個鄉鎮 ，還有還有，每一個人都還有禮卷可以折抵咖啡廳的消費，太讚了。 環境真個有夠Chill。 不知道此生還會不會再來尾道，我就把這個思念放在我的腦海裏，哪一天回想起來，也能揚起嘴角。

Long stairs to reach the property so you need to be fit. The bar was empty both night we stayed and bar staff were not conversational.

Cette guest house est magique, cet endroit est chargé d’histoire avec une vue exceptionnelle. Vieille maison japonaise séculaire, on se sent transporté dans une machine à remonter le temps. Le café au rez-de-chaussée sert de très bonnes boissons maison. Ma fille a adoré le soda à la prune, elle s'en souviendra encore longtemps ! Pour ne pas être déçu, il faut lire les consignes avant de réserver (toilettes et salle de bains communes, faible insonorisation due à l'âge de cette belle maison, réveil aux aurores si on n'a pas de masque de nuit et les 350 marches peuvent être contournées si on vient par le haut de la colline par le téléphérique, ce qui permet de découvrir des temples avant d'arriver, c'était vraiment magique !

Rien (peut-être les cigales qui font un vacarme pas croyable dès 5h du matin mais c'est le prix à payer pour être parmi les arbres en plein été au Japon !)

・景色が素晴らしい ・建物が趣深い ・共用部分も古き良きところを残しながら、綺麗な設備、綺麗なタイルで印象的

・先に質問しておけばよかったし、もしかしたら説明を聞き逃していた可能性があるが…。チェックアウト時間が「〜10:00」と記載されていたがカフェスペースが7:30〜しか開かないため、それ以前のチェックアウトができなかった。パンフレットにチェックアウト開始時間の記載もあると助かると思った。 ・宿泊客の意識で、施設が悪いわけではないが、外国人観光客が使用した後のキッチンスペースの汚さが目に余った。直接注意できない私（日本人）も良くないが、分からないまま聞き流していたのか、出したら出しっぱなし、排水溝は詰まらせたままだった。口頭だけでなく、視覚的に使用方法や片付け方が分かるような説明書があると少しは変わるのでは？と思った。

ダントツにロケーション眺めが良かったことです^ ^ 通りかかる観光客さんがみはらし亭を不思議そうな興味深そうな顔で見ているのは宿泊した身としては嬉しく自慢したい気持ちに？😆　なりました。朝の気持ち良さ、最高の日の出をみられます。

ドミトリータイプ（3人一部屋）だったのですが、僕の場所には電源コンセントを隣の人使っていた？ので充電出来なかったこと。みはらし亭さんのせいではないのだけど。 喫茶に電源の使える席があるとめっちゃ嬉しいです。贅沢かもしれませんが。

眺めが最高。貴重な建物が復元されていたのもとても良かった。掃除も良くされており寝具も清潔。クーラーもよく効く。階段上がるのも思ったより短く、駅からも遠くない。情報が充実している。オシャレである。

致し方ないがトイレが遠い、隣部屋から夜中をすぎても話声がずっとしてきて睡眠不足。部屋では飲食禁止との事で、もちろん水くらいいいんだろうけど、なんとなくいつもより水分補給していなかったせいか、次の朝熱中症になりかけて観光どころじゃなくなった。海外のゲストハウスっぽい。温かみは無い。

Amazing location up on the hill overlooking the harbour. You hear your neighbours through the walls but thats all part of the charm. Old world Japan. Loved it.

夜景も昼間も景色がすごく良かったです。 お店の方もちょうどいい距離感でカフェの時間も快適でくつろげました。

人によっては清潔感など気になるかもしれないですが自分は大丈夫でした。

La vue depuis la chambre etait juste magique. C'est une belle maison traditionnelle. Par contre il faut grimper pour mériter la vue ! 😁

Cette ancienne maison de thé perchée sur la colline est extraordinaire. On dort dans une chambre traditionnelle, aux futons et cloisons coulissantes, avec une vue magnifique sur le chenal. Le lieu est géré par une association à but non lucratif, qui le fait revivre. Le personnel est très gentil, on peut prendre aussi boissons et patisseries au salon de thé du rez-de-chaussée. A savoir : la vue et le calme de cette maison d'hôte se méritent, il y a 370 marches pour l'atteindre, ne pas prévoir de sac trop lourd ou de valise à roulettes...

Tout était parfait.

房間雖然不能飲食，但沒有垃圾桶丟衛生紙，對過敏人來說不是很方便。

Lieu magique chargé d’histoire avec une vue exceptionnelle. J’avais bien lu toutes les consignes avant donc je n’ai pas eu de mauvaise surprise, j’étais prête (petit sac, salle de bain / cuisine dans un bâtiment séparé, boules quies à disposition).

We absolutely loved our stay here. The hillside location felt very unique and well worth the gondola or walk up the hill as we got to see more of the neighborhood along the way. The staff were very friendly and helpful at check-in and in the morning during breakfast (which was much appreciated earlier in the morning). We booked a private room, which felt very cozy, and enjoying the view from tatami was unforgettable. Any concerns about acoustics ended up not being a problem at all, as everyone else seemed respectful of each other’s time here. We found this to be a very memorable stay during our visit to Onomichi.

La struttura è tenuta con cura e rispetto delle sue origini. É molto pulita e lo staff è cordiale. La camera era molto grande e i letti comodi (futon). La passeggiata per arrivarci non è affatto pesante e anzi è piacevole tra le viuzze del paese. La sera si può scendere in centro per la cena senza problemi .

Nulla di negativo per quanto concerne la locanda, ma val la pena segnalare che il paese è piccolo e non è semplice trovare un posto dove cenare, meglio uscire molto presto ed ancor meglio prenotare .

Cet endroit est magique, un havre de paix au milieu des temples et de la nature. Merci spécialement au monsieur avec qui j’ai fais mon check in qui était d’un accueil chaleureux et à l’écoute. J’étais ici pour mon anniversaire et j’espère pouvoir revenir un jour! Merci

The views from our room were spectacular. The hosts were very friendly Great coffee to start the day Pre warning of the potential 350 steps up and suggestion of luggage delivery prior to arriving.

There are 350 steps to the guesthouse. We took the cable car and walked down to the guesthouse. We left our luggage at the train station so I don't lnow how it would be with luggage on the cable car. Even if we had to do the steps, the view from the top would have made it worth it.

La vue est imprenable sur la ville, il faut se lever tôt aux alentours de 6h piur admirer le lever de soleil depuis la fenêtre. Et il permet de tester de dormir sur un lit de type Futon. Cependant deux épaisseurs sont nécessaire pour les personnes ayant des problèmes de dos, car ce n'est pas très confortable x)

We stayed for 1 night while cycling part of the Shimanami kaido. The guesthouse had stunning views and felt very traditional. Woken by natural light for a beautiful sunrise.

As they warned us - it was a long climb up with heavy suitcases!

Besonders hat uns das Haus an sich begeistert, da es so viel Charm hat. Die Aussicht auf die Stadt Onomichi und dem Wasser vom Zimmer aus ist Atemberaubend. Die Gemeinschaftsduschen sind groß und sauber genau so die Toiletten. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

La guest house est magnifique. Il est bon de savoir qu'elle se situe en haut d'une colline et qu'il y a beaucoup d'escalier avant d'y arriver. Mais le style traditionnel japonais est très beau et confortable. Une vie magnifique.

There were a lot of mosquitos but no mosquito spray. The faamily next door had a kid who kept making noise through the night so we didn't get much sleep

入住百年古蹟真的是很特別的體驗，員工態度很客氣，服務很棒，風景更好，價格也很便宜，值得推荐。

個人沒有不喜歡的地方，位置半山腰處，住宿的二樓對於行動不便的老人家可能不適合。

Such a cool place to stay - great view and vibes. And onomichi itself is a gem of a place. Just be ready for the stairs!!!

The location is fantastic and the view from our room was amazing. We booked a family room; very traditional with tatami mats and futons, but with plenty of space, and we had a comfortable and peaceful night's sleep. Breakfast was basic, but delicious

Geweldige plek met een prachtig uitzicht. Het café is een fijne zitplek met goede koffie en ontbijt. Het meeste hebben we nog wel de vriendelijkheid van de medewerkers gewaardeerd. In het bijzonder de goedlachse, artistieke Japanse gastvrouw (Masseo?) en de avontuurlijke werknemer uit Taiwan.

Niets, maar ik kan me voorstellen dat je pech kunt hebben met geluiden van buren die niet snappen dat de wandjes dun zijn.

Spectacular view and friendly host

difficult to get there with rolling luggage and extremely thin walls and tiny rooms; the cafe is open until midnight and the rooms are directly above it so it’s very loud. There were mosquitoes inside the room and the only trash can is in a separate building. One WC for 15+ people and two shower stalls.

We loved the morning view from our room! It is a bit of a climb to get here, but well worth it for the lovely view, accommodating staff, and interesting history of the building. We also loved the breakfast and drink options.

This hostel is absolutely magical! Onomichi is just OK, and I think that if it wasn't for this hostel, we would have found this 2 nigh-stop a little too long, even with a one-day bike trip on the Islands. But we arrived at the train station, walk 10 minutes, then up the famous stairs and we landed on this magical place! It is located in the temple district, and when you walk off the hostel, you are already in a beautiful location, with an amazing view, and you feel out of time. The room, as advertised, is not soundproof, and indeed you can hear everything in the other rooms, but everyone was respectful and quiet. In the morning, the sun rises, and you can see it from the window or walk to the observatory deck (10 minutes walk) to see it with a 360 view.. From the deck, you can also see the sunset. Well, this hostel ruined all the other hostels forever, nothing will ever compare to that.

They served a Gorgonzola CheeseCake, which I thought was a Deepl translation mistake (ricotta/gorgonzola), but no; it was really a sweet cheesecake with a Gorgonzola base. I would not recommend it. Also their offers in the café was a little expensive for what it was. But I would come back anyway.

This is a quirky characterful old house converted into a delightful guest house. It has fabulous views from it's high position over the town. It's quite a walk up and there's no road access so not recommended if you have heavy bags. There's no ensuite but this of course is reflected in the price. A lovely chilled reception/ coffee area. We absolutely loved it as being so different from many bland hotels in this budget range.

We really enjoyed our time in this Guest House which is located on the mountain in Onomichi. This traditional hotel is beautiful and so close to the temples. Sunset and sunrise are stunning to watch either from the room or outside. The staff is very welcoming and helpful. I recommend this place 100% for having a peaceful stay in Onomichi.

This is a spectacular location up the hillside with stunning sea views.

Sehr nettes Personal und eine außergewöhnliche Lage: Direkt unterhalb vom Senkou-Tempel. Wir haben die Unterkunft problemlos gefunden (da wir ohnehin den Tempel besichtigen wollten). Die Aussicht ist phänomenal und wir haben den schönsten Sonnenaufgang (direkt vom Zimmer) erlebt. Die Zimmer sind traditionell japanisch und sehr liebevoll renoviert. Das Café im Erdgeschoss ist toll, um dort abends noch etwas zu trinken und morgens lecker zu frühstücken.

Ganz ehrlich: das Musik-Gedudel im Café und dass das Haus baubedingt sehr hellhörig ist. Trotzdem empfehlen wir jedem einen Aufenthalt in dieser außergewöhnlichen Unterkunft.

Amazing location in a historical house in a great town

This place was so unique and beautiful. The traditional tatami mat seaview room was exquisite. The view was incredible, so peaceful watching the sun rise over Onomichi.

The stairs are a lot, but we took the cat alley instead which was mostly ramped and found this to be way easier with our suitcases.

The views from the guest house are stunning and the property is very well managed and maintained. The cafe serves easy and delicious breakfast and great drinks. The host was very helpful and friendly.

We should’ve done a bit more research about the 300 steps to get there haha nothing to dislike about it just our bad for having such big suitcases!

L’emplacement, on surplombe cette jolie ville d’Onomichi. La chambre typique. La jeune fille qui m’a tout expliqué était (elle) très sympa.

Devoir louer une serviette de toilette, les douches à l’extérieur, le lavabo qui donne sur la cuisine sans porte pour séparer, le fait que tout donne l’impression qu’on est pas forcément très bienvenu.

念願の見晴らし亭での宿泊、窓からの景色は最高で、尾道水道の風景を一日中でも眺めていたくなります。 スタッフさんも爽やかな笑顔で、とても親切でした。古い建物ですが、部屋・カフェ共に、とても清潔に保たれています。 また、１階のカフェからパンを調理する匂いが上がってきて、たまりませんでした。

演出を考えての室内灯の色と明るさでしょうが、もう少し明るいと有り難いと思いました。 辿り着くまでの登りの道は、こちらでの掛け替えのない体験への試練として乗り越えましょう……
