Me encantó la limpieza, tranquilidad y todo el equipamiento para una estancia muy cómoda y agradable. Excelente atención por parte del personal.

Solo la ubicación de la televisión, me hubiera gustado frente a la cama.

I love the location. It was a charming small boutique hotel. Spacious, clean and close to everything. Housekeeper was fabulous and location was very private even though you're close to everything

Didn't seem to be an organized check-in process. No literature, no recommendations. Nothing really said about the property. We were just showed the apartment which was great but nothing more. Communication could have been better.

The bed was very comfortable, the rooms are nice, the staff was amazing and it is close to the beach and great restaurants.

The neighborhood dogs barking all night and early morning is my only complaint.

El persona muy atento y amable, Toña siempre estuvo al tanto de las necesidades de la habitación. Las instalaciones impecables. La alberca estaba climatizada. Sin duda volvería.

Close to the beach, lots of free drinking water, good beach chairs and umbrellas, clean pool. They try to do everything for their guests. Lots of outdoor space to enjoy.

There are two large buildings being built very close to the property so there was a lot of construction noise. It is such a shame as the hotel itself is so lovely

The property grounds were very nice. We had a room with a terrace and a view of the pool. Pool was good. Location is awesome. Access to 2 pools.

Construction across the street was annoying. Next year, you probably won’t get all the noise.

The location is great and the rooftop pool was fantastic. The fellow that checked us in was very nice. I’d definitely stay here again.

The smell from the drains. (Not their fault) We just plugged the drain in the sink and filled it with water. Zero issues after that.

Great location, pool area, facilities, decor. Very much felt like a home away from home. The receptionist Rachel was gracious & helpful, & there were thoughtful amenities for the buildings, such as complimentary bikes & chairs for the beach. Bucerias is a lovely peaceful, restorative place. Perfect for a short, or longer-term stay.

Location is excellent. Pool in tower 2 stunning. Staff very helpful. It's a community feel. Very secure and safe front entrance, Face recognition is convenient. Beach chairs were a nice touch.

One thing that would be helpful is a welcome package explaining where the chairs are, office hours, what properties you are allowed to enter, 10% off at Cafe. Shower was too cold. For the price shampoo, conditioner, kleenex, etc. should be provided. Our door did not close easily.

The hotel had no control over it but the construction across the street and daily drilling, hammering, breaking of concrete, etc. really the gators the location and the vacation overall. Thank goodness there were three or four holiday days being Christmas, etc..

The room was comfortable and private. All staff polite and friendly. Beach chairs and umbrella available for the beach.

Our room was ready upon our arrival even though we were a few hours early. We were upgraded from a Studio to a full on apartment. Large fridge, stove, microwave, dishwasher etc. 2 full bathrooms. Washer/dryer - unfortunately the washer wasn't working. Steps away from the pool - hardly any people using it and you have access to the 2 other pools in the other buildings

My wife was disappointed the washer didn't work, but we hand washed some items and dried them in the dryer.

Lo malo fue que al hacer el chek inn la persona del lobby No nos aviso que teniamos 10% de descuento en el restaurante del Cafe de bucerias por ser Huespedes de Refugio del Mar. Fuera de eso estuvo todo muy bien.

Great location near the beach, restaurants and convenience stores. We had a studio that opened onto the shared pool, which was nice to have in June heat. Housekeeping staff did an excellent job. The only minor issues were a couple of wooden doors, one in the bathroom that kept swinging in the way and the other the door into the studio that didn’t seem to close securely. Checking in was a little confusing as there are three different buildings, but staff were helpful in guiding us down the street to our entrance.

Cotton sheets, very comfortable bed and feather pillows... good pressure, hot water shower. These 3 things can be challenging to find in other properties in Mexico. Kind staff.

The music at the pool sounds like a broken record. Or just a drum boom boom- boom boom. Very aggravating! How about some normal Mexican music??? The activities suck. The special meal menu hasn’t changed in years. Otherwise it’s a great place. Very good location.

Great room, very clean, and the front office was very pleasant and helpful. The proximity to some fine restaurants and the beach could not be beat!

the cleanliness of the room everyday, the location was great close to various restaurants and super markets, pharmacy all with in walking distance. The staff, from the front desk all the way to the house keeping and gardner all very friendly. They made you feel at home.

Beautiful property! The pool area was like a secret garden and the rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable. My only complaints were that our room was located across the street from a restaurant that was loud at night and that we were unable to relax at the pool for half of our stay since other guests reserved the lounge chairs for the whole day.

We rented the casita in the courtyard of building 3. It looked out on the courtyard, and pool. The staff was amazing and very helpful, it was great having access to bikes and beach chairs and umbrella. A wonderful stay

Even though we felt very safe, the patio door and bedroom windows wouldn’t lock for me. The bed needs a bit more padding, I found it to be too firm. Other than that we loved and will book again

Jorge was wonderful. He upgraded our suite to accommodate our need for a private balcony. The staff were very helpful. The location was ideal.

Construction noise

My family had an unexpected lengthy stay at Refugio Del Mar when my father had to have and then recover from a surprise surgery at the nearby hospital while on vacation. It was a very stressful time for our family, and the people at Refugio Del Mar were a true godsend. The property itself was beautiful, serene, and very comfortable—it made for an ideal place to relax and recover. The accommodations were excellent—rooms are clean and well-appointed, and our unit included a washer/dryer which was very helpful given the length of our stay. And the location is fantastic—walking distance to many great restaurants and the water (including an excellent cafe right across the street!) But the best part was the people. The entire staff was fantastic—they were very understanding and worked with us on our uncertain and shifting dates, and went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable the whole time. And they were great with providing local recommendations for food, shops, etc. The whole team really made us feel at home, and we can’t thank them enough. We highly recommend!

We got towels replaced daily but never received wash clothes until the day we were leaving.

The 2 bedroom apartment we stayed at for 5 days was spacious with a big kitchen, fully equipped with a microwave, oven, coffee maker, dishes. It also had 2 large terraces for lounging and entertaining and a huge king sized bed in each bedroom with its own full shower and a washer/dryer. Everything you could ask for plus a living room and kitchen table. We loved it. We stayed at "Casa Mini"

A beautiful location and Jorge and his staff were happy, friendy and helpful. Everything was very relaxing and enjoyable. Then add the beautiful location with great local close resturants, the beach,sun and sand. Perfection!!!

It was our third time staying at Refugio Del Mar and we are going back later this month again. The service is impeccable, the location is perfect and the staff is so conscientious! We love Bucerias, it’s calmness and its proximity to PV, Cruz and Sayuritas, punto Mita. When you ask question to the staff about anything, fixing appliance, local restaurants or repair shops, they are already to help you out .

Everyone the so accommodating. Grounds were immaculate. Room was beautiful with a comfortable bed. Front desk upgraded our room. We are so glad we chose this hotel.

Property is a beautiful clean place and local shops are nearby. The beach is just walking distance. Amazing staff.

New built four-star boutique resort in the center of the Golden zone Dorado Nuevo nayurite, Southern Bucerias. Only one block off the beach on the designer street featuring the best little dress stores markets and all of the finer restaurants in the area. Everything is within walking distance. There are actually four structures each with their own unique swimming pools and amenities but allow sharing for all residents. Most people are here for weeks and months but daily rentals also occur. Be sure to try the Bucerias Cafe along with El negro and dozens of other fine eateries.

A pleasant place to stay. The pool was a relaxing place to spend some time in the afternoon before dinner. The staff were really helpful and friendly. Having a kitchenette was great we were able to make breakfast instead of going out everyday.

We loved our trip. The Hotel Refugio Del Mar Hotel was wonderful. It was so peaceful there. We will definitely go back again.

My sister and I visited Bucerias in April Reffugio del Mar is in a great spot in town.. Just two blocks from the beach. As soon as you enter through the private gate you see the courtyard/pool- so quaint! The beds are comfy, A/C works great and the pool area is adorable. We will be visiting again next year.

The Rufugio del Mar was a beautiful property. We stayed in building 2 which only had 7 units. They all had their own kitchen and bedroom/s. The staff were super friendly and the pool and gardens were immaculate. I would recommend staying on the second floor if possible as the lower units can be a little dark and do absorb a bit of noise from the above units. The location is 2 blocks from the beach and the property includes free beach chairs and umbrellas. They also provide free top of the line bikes. It wasn’t very busy when we were there so everything was readily available. Jorge, the owner is attentive and super helpful. We had an amazing stay.

Amazing property. Excellent owner, staff and amenities. Free use of beach chairs, umbrellas, and Specualized bikes! Loved the personal touches. The pool and grounds are immaculate and peaceful. Our unit had a washer and dryer so you can easily pack lite and throw things in the wash. It’s 2 blocks from the beach and close to several incredible restaurants. I would highly recommend the Refugio del Mar.

Lovely place to stay

Beautiful and central to everything. It was a very comfortable stay. We will definitely stay there in the future.

The place is a small exquisite place that I really liked. Beach and eateries were close. Because I was injured and couldn’t walk upstairs I was very disappointed that the elevators were not working because I couldn’t enjoy my time the family on the roof jacuzzi or pool :( Also, the place came equipped with plates, cups, utensils etc but were not supplied with soap/sponge to wash dishes or napkins. Some complimentary coffee/tea would have been much appreciated. Other than this, we enjoyed our time in this beautiful place.

My husband and I stayed at Refugio del Mar this past week for a couple of nights while we were visiting friends who live in the area. We have been big travelers over the past 20 years, staying in many hotels and VRBOs and B&Bs. This little boutique refuge is up there with the best for overall comfort, amenities and enjoyment. Check in was quick and easy, Jorge made us feel right at home and oriented us to the local shops that he recommended we visit for items we might need. Our one bedroom suite would have been suitable for a lengthy stay, and had a full kitchen and laundry. Clean in all areas of the suite, comfy but firm bed, and standard of finish in the suite felt very appropriate for what we paid. Pictures online are accurate. The local area felt safe and locals are friendly. Bucerias is a perfect little town for anyone wanting to escape the bustle of PV. Short walk to one of the most beautiful beaches we've walked along.

Everything was perfect, the location, great staff, cleanliness of the facility, surrounding restaurantes and shops. Beach is only 1.5 blocks away. Very safe and very charming town. It was our second time and we will be back soon. Thank you Jorge and the staff or the big help to make our holiday relaxing and fun.

Our stay at Refugio Del Mar in Bucerias, Mexico, was exceptional, offering a peaceful retreat with its quiet yet central location. The hotel features three amazing pools and provides complimentary bicycles and beach chairs, enhancing our experience of the local culture and beaches. The staff was remarkably friendly, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere, and our room was both spacious and immaculately clean. Refugio Del Mar is a perfect blend of relaxation and adventure, making it a standout choice for any traveler to Bucerias. Highly recommended for its superb amenities and service.

We loved our 8 day stay at the beautiful Refugio del Mar in Bucerias! We stayed in Big John, which is one of the larger units that features 2 bedrooms with king sized (very comfy) beds, 2 bathrooms (both with fabulous spacious showers), living room (with a pull-out bed), kitchen, washer/dryer, private balcony overlooking the street and a huge shared patio overlooking the gorgeous and immaculate courtyard and pool. The property is gated, and you can only enter after being buzzed in. The beach is just a couple blocks down the street, as well as the town taxi service. Jorge, the manager, is a wealth of information and is always ready to provide assistance or recommendations. The owner, Carlos, dropped everything he was doing one day to drive my mom and me in his truck to a nearby bank. The only thing he would consider taking as a "thank you" was a shot of tequila, lol. I highly recommend the small restaurant directly across the street, Los Tejabanes, for breakfast and lunch. Eddie and his family provided fabulous, authentic Mexican meals that we enjoyed multiple times during our stay.

We were two couples, and stayed for 7 weeks in the penthouse suite, in Building One. The suite is spacious and comfortable with large kitchen, in which we did a lot of our own cooking. It was great to have a good fridge with ice maker, and excellent blender, so we enjoyed many margaritas by the pool! The beds are comfortable, lots of closet space, and each bedroom has its own bathroom. There is one safe in one of the bedrooms. Air conditioning was good, with four units within the suite. The rooftop pool was right outside our door, as well as the hot tub, and can see the ocean and sunset from there! We also had use of the other pools, which was great. We found the pool in building two really nice on a hot day as there is lots of shade. The staff is excellent, and Jorge is a very accommodating host. He’s very helpful with information, getting transportation, special requests, and even helped get us a dentist appointment! We took advantage of the beach chairs and umbrellas, although unfortunately there were no golf carts available during our stay (new electric ones should be arriving soon!) Drinking water is available upon request, just let them know and they’ll bring you a 5 gal jug. (Tip them well, they work hard!) Wifi was decent, though slow at times. All in all, we had a great time, and would definitely stay here again! Highly recommend!

My wife and I went here for our 40th anniversary. We were very pleased with the clean spacious rooms. The staff , especially the site manager, Jorge were vry helpful in assisting and directing us when asked. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks for a wonderful vacation.

The customer service at Refugio del Mar is excellent. The condo was clean and well-appointed and the pool area was lovely. The location is perfect - close to the beach, and they provide chairs and umbrellas for client use - within walking distance of lots of wonderful restaurants. Many thanks to Jorge and his team for a great six weeks, especially to Ofília and Abraham. And thanks to Refugio for allowing the Spanish classes to take place in Building 3. Much appreciated!!! Excellent stay. Since leaving I have emailed them 6 times, called 8 times, chatted 3 x, fb messaged 3 times. Not a single response. Super disappointed as we wanted to book 4 rooms in the future and spoke to Jorge who said he would email us. Again not a single response after multiple attempts, and a variety of ways. Communication extremely poor. Our stay was nice though.

After leaving we were told Jorge would send an email. 4 days - 8 emails, 3 chats, 2 FB messages, 8 phone callsand no response. BAD communication!!!!! no response to multiple attempts over various platforms. Good location, nice rooms. they have beach chairs, beach umbrellas and bikes. Refugio has great restaurants around -

Host went above and beyond. He was very kind, helpful, friendly. He shared necessary information, not only about the hotel, but where to eat out for any meals, including additional discounts associated with the hotel. It was more than we expected.

Very nice to have a restaurant right across the street for breakfast and lunch, and a Japanese restaurant kitty corner. Easy access to the beach, and I loved that the resort provided beach chairs and umbrellas.
