Firstly. Dont let this review stop you from staying here. The location and views from the balcony( only stay in a front rooms) are 20/10. The hotel is small and in one of the oldest buildings in the city. Great atmosphere. We loved this hotel and would stay here again.

The owner is an elderly grumpy man with very little English wearing a singlet. It would benefit his business if he took a step back and hired friendly people with customer service skills. This was our worst experience entering a hotel ever.

Nice and approachable staff. Good location, accessible to the old town and to restaurants. Comfortable and cozy room. Wonderful view from the balcony. I loved that the breakfast is served fresh and not a buffet type, and you could go all day without getting hungry. This is my favorite hotel so far.

Albergo accanto al porto con balcone che affaccia direttamente sul mare. Staff gentilissimo e disponibile, dovevamo partire prima dell’orario di colazione e ci hanno fatto avere un vassoio la sera prima. Le camere richiamano ad uno stile retrò in linea con la struttura.

Beautiful small property with just five rooms in old town. Only accessible by foot, we learnt to look out for the cat to find our way back! It retained lots of its old quirks and charm but was clean and comfortable. Staff super friendly and helpful. Lovely breakfast with fresh fruit and something different everyday. Our room had a private rooftop terrace with stunning views overlooking the old harbour.

Ci è piaciuta sicuramente la vista della camera sul porto veneziano, che però ha il contro di non essere silenziosa.

La colazione non è variegata, non offre un buffet o possibilità di scelta, i prodotti vengono serviti direttamente al tavolo. Hanno solo black coffee senza la possibilità di fare il cappuccino. La stanza con vista sul porto non è silenziosa, gli infissi sono vecchi e non isolano i rumori, le tende non oscurano la luce del mattino e oltretutto la stanza è esposta in pieno Est. Fino a tardi si sentono le voci delle persone nei ristoranti sottostanti e la mattina alle 6 si sente il rumore della raccolta del vetro. Il bagno è cieco e minuscolo, e andrebbe ristrutturato. Il box doccia era danneggiato, rubinetteria vecchia, con evidenti segni di ruggine e muffa nel soffitto. il soffione riusciva a malapena a stare agganciato alla parete. Aspiratore non funzionante.

Mycket bra frukost. De dukar upp på respektive bord. Nära till mycket restauranger och mysiga småbutiker i gränderna. Fin havsutsikt om man väljer det.

Planet blev sent och vi skulle missa incheckningstiden, försökte kontakta boendet med både mail och telefon, men ingen svarade trots att flera timmar gick. Personal var dock där ändå när vi kom så det löste sig. Bra att veta: Högljutt utifrån hamnen och lyhört från receptionen/matsalen om man har ovala rummet med utsikt mot havet.

- soms heb ik vragen maar dan kan ik niemand bereiken, helaas. Ik had strijkijzer nodig maar geen reactie daarop.

Location is one of a kind. The room was spacious and with traditional feeling, lived it. Bed and mattress was very comfortable.

Lugar sujo. Paredes estourando de mofo e umidade. Péssimo atendimento quando chegamos que inclusive nos fez correr para outro hotel mesmo ja estando com tudo pago. O balcão minúsculo e todo enferrujado. Banheiro sujo e cheio de mofo. As fotos sao totalmente fora da realidade. Nao sei como o booking pode deixar isso acontecer.

Wunderbare zentrale Lage, Balkon und Sicht auf den venezianischen Hafen, trotzdem ruhig, sehr schöne Inneneinrichtung, wenig Zimmer, daher sehr persönlich und Frühstücksraum wie ein Wohnzimmer…

Das Frühstück liess etwas zu wünschen übrig, wenn man lieber salzig statt süss (Croissant, Kuchen, Gebäck, Fruchtsalat) hat, musste man sich mit einer Scheibe Toast, abgepacktem Käse und Ei begnügen…

So cute, beautifully decorated, comfy and clean. The breakfast is amazing, and the location is perfect overlooking the fortress.

Parking is a bit of a challenge if you’re driving, you have to park on the street a few mins walk away, but it’s a gorgeous hotel in the middle of old town so you can’t really complain.

Breakfast which we paid for in advance was only available from 9am. We asked to have it at 8 at least but the man who greeted us didn’t speak English so we never got our breakfast for the three days we spent there. Parking is indicated as free but it isn’t. There is a parking limited to 4 hours max. It’s 4,80 euros for those 4 hours. We asked about it on the app and to the man, but never got a reply. There is nothing the hang out wet clothes or beachwear.

A beautiful location, the perfect spot to explore Chania and pretty easy for parking if you have a hire car

Chambre pas bien isolée. Très bruyant le soir et la nuit.

Accueil super agréable, l’emplacement est idéal avec une vue magnifique, le petit déjeuner est très copieux et qualitatif. Pour le stationnement nous avons eu un peu de mal à trouver où se garer car l’hôtel est dans le vieux port et toutes les rues sont uniquement piétonnes.

La climatisation fonctionnait très bien mais pour autant il y avait de l’eau qui s’écoulait ce qui a bien détrempé le sol après la nuit… nos affaires étaient trempées 😅

What a view what a location great breakfast and hosts

A spectacular view of the bay and lighthouse from our own large private terrace (see photos taken from there), a beautiful historic room with fine architectural features, friendly staff, and the most delicious breakfast we had in the whole holiday, and all for about €100. An absolute bargain. The best place we stayed in on the island by far.

We liked everything

La chambre est incroyable ! Très spacieuse et confortable, le balcon et le coin salon est un véritable plus. La vue est imprenable. La salle de bain était très bien. La décoration était sans faute de goût. Le petit déjeuner était gargantuesque et délicieux. Le personnel était très accueillant et sympathique.

Det var en sååå vacker hotell! Helt fantastisk balkong med utsikt. Även rummet och ingången var fyllda med vackra detaljer och föremål. Vi var också mycket tacksamma för trevliga personalen som hjälpte oss när vår bagage var försenad en dag. Dessutom var frukosten utsökt. Vi kommer att komma tillbaka!

A really quaint hotel sat just off the main Harbour. Really quiet/ lovely inside and just a short walk from a large carpark. Breakfast was fantastic.

Room very dark, couldn't open shutters for light. Room small compared to others but that's the compromise for the lovely big terrace that they did not have.

Emplacement extraordinaire avec vue imprenable sur le magnifique port de La Canée !!! Petit hôtel particulier de 5 chambres avec 3 de ces chambres et la salle de breakfast donnant directement sur le port. L’axé niché au bout de petites ruelles types de la superbe vieille ville vous amène sur un très joli portail ouvrant sur cet incroyable lieu. Un émerveillement lorsque vous découvrez dès l’entrée cette magnifique ouverture donnant sur le port. La chambre vous transporte plusieurs dizaines d’années en arrière avec son ancien mobilier et son très grand lit à baldaquin !!! 😍😍 Enfin Un petit déjeuner de très bonne qualité servi par du personnel bienveillant 🥰🥰🥰🥰 Nous y retournerons et recommanderons sans hésitation !! location perfect, Veronica was great; helpful ,.attentive. lovely breakfast . bed comfy, frig available and day i had early tour Veronica was kind to provide easy breakfast.She also provided wonderful driver from airport and to my next stay, he did speak English, and was delightful.He was also fair priced. She made good suggestions for tours.

bathroom the size of cruise ship and even at size 12 i couldn t take a comfortable shower. Veronica, the only person who spoke English, was only there til 3. no one was there otherwise or if the gentleman was there his English was about as understanding as my Greek so if u needed help or had questions ,out of luck. Veronica did offer her phone number, but i didn t have cell service.But mostly, from 3pm to 8am no one was around.

Bathroom in room 3 was not good, extractor not working, shower screen just didn't work properly, shower very old . Bathroom is so tiny.

KRÁSNÉ místo v centru. Krasny výhled z pokoje. Přesně co jsem chtěla, romantiku a vyhled na pristav.. Snídaně bohaté na výběr. Paní na úklid ÚŽASNÁ tak jak ona vždy uklidila tak nikdy nikdo v žádném hotelu kde jsem byla.. Připravila ručníky každý den. Vždy nádherné upravená postel a hlavně čisto . Byla tam krásná atmosféra. Bedroom had no balcony as was located in back of building. However, this was compensated through having use of balcony in breakfast room. Next time we would request room with a balcony.

If you are looking for a magical stay in Chania, look no further. This tiny boutique hotel sits right in the heart of the old town, just a stone's throw from the harbor. Everything—from the hidden little alleys to the best local spots—is within easy walking distance. The hotel only has five rooms, and each one has its own unique personality. The moment you walk through the doors and into the grand entrance hall, it honestly feels like stepping back in time. It's beautiful. All the rooms branch off from this space, and it’s also where breakfast is served. We stayed in the Honeymoon Suite, which came with a stunning sea view and our own private roof terrace. The hospitality here is next-level. We were greeted warmly by the owner right away. Since we arrived super early in the morning, they let us drop off our bags immediately so we could head out and start exploring the city without dragging our luggage along. Breakfast each morning was lovely, served right at the table with a different freshly cooked egg dish every day. Veronika, who took care of breakfast, is an absolute treasure. She was so incredibly sweet and gave us some wonderful tips for day trips. On our last day, we rented a car because we were road-tripping down to the south. Parking in the old town can be a complete nightmare, but Veronika shared a brilliant insider secret on where to park, which saved us so much stress. We can’t recommend this gorgeous, exquisite hotel enough. We had the best time and will definitely be back!

Ein wunderbares stilvolles Hotel. Man fühlt sich sofort willkommen und sehr wohl. Das Frühstück wird serviert und ist reichhaltig und vielfältig. Besonders erwähnenswert ist die wundervolle Lage mit traumhaften Blick auf den venezianischen Hafen. Wir können es uneingeschränkt empfehlen.

Das Haus ist sehr schön gelegen und hat einen wunderschönen Frühstücksraum. Das Frühstück war in Ordnung.

Das Badezimmer und die Dusche sind sehr klein und eng. Durch den offenen Abwasserkanal gibt es schlechte Luft. Die Parksituation ist schwierig bzw. Glück, der vorgeschlagene Parkplatz ist nur für maximal 4 Stunden gegen Gebühr nutzbar.

Der Blck von der Terrasse war einfach herrlich!

Wonderful character in the architectural detail; excellent location for strolling through the port area and alleyways with fabulous shopping. Veronica and Nikos were wonderful hosts - Veronica had excellent recommendations for restaurants and excursions. Breakfast was filling and very tasty - great start to our days. Highly recommend this property.

Only wish that we could have stayed longer and experienced better weather - Will return for sure!

The location perfect

The balcony so small couldnt fit 2 peoole. It was winter but air conditioning unit was up too high did not heat the whole room.On the second day a lady brought a fire to help but really wasnt enough. The walls were damp. Basically think they should not have opened in December .Its a beautiful hotel.

The location is great. Sunrise is clear in the windows and in the evening the old Venetian harbor is at a glance. Event though is a crowded area no sonic was disturbing the sleeping. Very microscopic hotel with giant privileges.

The light bulbs in the room are unequal light temperature. Warm white mixed with daylight is disturbing and can easily destroy the overall impression. The furniture and wall colors are so old fashioned calming and has a charm that no accident light bulb should destroy.

Wir wohnten sehr ruhig in der Suite zum Innenhof (nicht Richtung Hafen). Die Lage am venezianischen Hafen ist perfekt zur Erkundung von Chania. Die Anreise mit dem Auto war im November unkompliziert, es gibt einen öffentlichen Parkplatz in der Nähe. Das Frühstück war liebevoll zubereitet, reichhaltig und wird serviert. Vom Frühstücksraum gibt es einen direkten kleinen Balkon Richtung Hafen, den wir jederzeit nutzen konnten. Wir fühlten uns sehr wohl und haben sogar eine Nacht verlängert.

Great little hotel on the harbour front in Hania. We took one of the room on two levels, very comfy and excellent value. Friendly staff and good breakfast too.

From check-in to check-out, it was a great experience. The location was exceptional, and the water views were beautiful. It was very convenient to be able to walk out the front door and be in the middle of the very romantic Old Venetian Port for a walk. We rented a car and were able to park for free not very far from the hotel, right across the street from the fortress. We could not say enough about our host Olga. She was amazing from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. From a smooth check-in to serving us a delicious breakfast every morning and giving us suggestions on what things to do in town. She seemed genuinely interested in how our day was. Thank you so much Olga for the wonderful experience you truly made it feel like home. Hope to see you again. We would definitely recommend these accommodations and would surely stay here again.

The house is in the best place in Hania. The view to the harbour is wonderful. The breakfastroom could be in a Venetian palace. The young lady, who worked in the reception is a gem. She is kind, friendly and helpful and she made us a very good breakfast.

The room was not so beautiful, the furniture was confused and past and the decoration was a little odd. Many items were glued on the top of the tables. There was not place enough for our luggages and our goods. The bathroom was small and it smelled odd. The terrace was mirthless, broken furniture and concrete. Sometimes there was a man, who was sitting and looking tv. He did not greet, he never smiled, he always had a cap in his head. One morning he served the breakfast: one and half slices of bread, 12 grapes and one little pot of coffee and so one, for two people. Normally we got much more.

A spacious, comfortable room with a fantastic view of the harbor. The breakfast that was provided was the perfect start to my days in Chania. The lady who checked me in and asked what id like for breakfast was wonderful, she clearly had a passion for the hotel. I would be more than happy to come back here and stay again.

We had an absolutely lovely stay at Casa Leone for four nights. The location is excellent and we had a beautiful view of the Venetian port from our balcony. The complimentary breakfast was delicious (and big!) and staff were lovely and welcoming. The room was really beautiful too. The only drawback was the club nearby was a bit loud, but we used earplugs to sleep and were fine and of course it’s not the hotel’s fault. If you plan to be out late anyway then it wouldn’t be an issue. If you’re a light sleeper then I would just say go for a room upstairs instead of on the first floor. Absolutely recommend staying here!
