What I liked about the location was the location

Some of the rooms didn’t have hot water and the pressure on it was very low there were rooms that air conditioners were not working. Towels were not clean,I still don’t get how this place got 4 stars. It’s like it has not been booked for a while

The house and host were great and I was welcomed with warm arms. The property is well maintained and the rooms are large and comfortable. The breakfast was also top tier! Felt right at home with the great hospitality I received.

It's clean, comfortable and convenient. The bed is big enough and comfortable.

The toilet was not well effective when comes to flushing. The carpet had dump odor, On our arrival we had to wait by the gate with no one response to either phone call or gate alarm.

Everything you see on the app is exactly like that. The breakfast was fresh and well made the staff was welcoming and friendly

The air-conditioned was work but did make the room warm at all that was the only downside for me but everything else was fine

The location is simply the best—very quiet and perfect for a peaceful stay. The staff were exceptionally kind, from the receptionist to our housekeeper everyone was just wonderful. It's only a 20-minute walk to Sandton City or a quick 3-minute drive. The surroundings are so therapeutic, thanks to the beautiful plantation and greenery all around. I will definitely book the same place again in the near future.

Only the aircon was not working properly but were provided with electric blankets which made everything perfect.

Lighting in the room

It seems like maintenance on the property needs attention. There is a lot of water marks and a smell of damp in the rooms.

I enjoyed the hospitality from this property. It was clean, with room service daily. Breakfast was delicious, and the host was wonderful. The location was central to many places.

Beautiful property, Amazing family owned business! They will make you feel comfortable. The staff were amazing as well. Great breakfast every morning, come and go when you please. Very comfortable will definitely book again!

Everything ! The room was huge clean with a nice bathroom right next to the swimming pool. Tanya the host and her staff are very lovely and very available for any requests. The guesthouse is located in a very safe area, the breakfast is really good. I recommend it 110%

Nothing ! Everything was perfect.

Tanya and all the others gave us a very heartwarming welcome. They were all so kind and assisted us if we had any questions. The room was spacious, clean and cozy. We got a room upgrade because the other room had some issues that needed to be solved first. That was a very nice gesture. Breakfast was tasty and you had everything you need.

The manager and staff gave me good advice about visiting attractions and travel agents. They even did a BBQ and invited me.

This is a real gem. A beautiful home run very efficiently by a mom and daughter team with an exceedingly friendly group of support staff. I was really impressed by the little touches, such as the neat rows in which they arranged my toiletries every morning, and putting my washing outside in my secluded courtyard so it would dry faster. The team consistently went over and beyond the call of duty while still affording me privacy. Very safe too. This is now my go to stay in Joburg.

Everything. The AC was so noisy, had to be switched off. The towels were not there. One towel for 2 people. The TV didn’t work. The phone was off. Tried calling them, no response. The staff was downright inconsiderate. Absolute horror of a stay. The bathrobe was dirty. No soap and shampoo. Pathetic

The venue could use some tlc here and there but it's not going to affect your stay. Go there for the warm staff, tasty breakfast, great location and the calm environment!

The place is in a lovely quiet area although close to shops, hospitals etc. The room was lovely and spacious with a good shower. The choice and quality of breakfast was good and the staff friendly.

Towels are very thin and towel rails/holders all need attention. Aircon was noisy and drips a lot so we couldn't use it.

Not much I can say its clean

Hostess is terrible , rude and not professional . We are here for Hostex so brought two of my staff , its there first time in another guesthouse/lodge and they are shaking there head permanently, expecting to learn . What a disappointment. Jet baths not even connected, no warm water pressure , 4/7 globes in room not working . I booked this place because of the reviews ?

We were not let into the house at night because our booking ‚could not be found‘ due to loadshedding. We were waiting outside at night for almost 15 minutes before we were let in with little to no communication by the receptionist through the intercom. The apology was not sincere either and we were given false information about breakfast hours. When we showed up in the morning, we were told breakfast is already over and nothing new can be served despite the same receptionist telling us breakfast goes until 10 AM (it was 9 AM at the time)! We were surprised by the low quality of service and were wondering if it has anything to do with us being two young black males which are not the usual guests there. To be frank, I did not have such a weird experience before and was not planning on writing this review if it were not by the reminder of booking.com. The room itself was good though.

The place was noisy people running and screaming up and down the stairs. Staff couldnt get away fast enough to go home after checkin. No one available when I had to check out

Perfect location, friendly staff and beautiful rooms

There was nothing not to like, everything was great

Clean, comfortable,excellent shower pressure, delicious hot breakfast and friendly staff.

The place is very quiet and in a good location. You can have Ubers or tour vans pick you up inside the premises.

The water pressure in the shower was almost non-existent. I had to be patient for it to heat up a little and yet so little water came out it didn't help much. The bath is better if you are willing to wait.

I wish I could give this place a score of 15 or something because that is how wonderful our stay was. The service provided to us from check-in all the way to a couple of days after check-out was excellent. Everyone goes out of their way to address your needs, whether it's a peculiar breakfast order from the kids, or help with laundry before the wedding that we were attending in the province. The rooms are large and they all have French names, and there is wide selection of books by the lounge area. The pool area is perfect for sun bathing and relaxing.

Rooms are large and the hotel is secure, short taxi into town (malls/restaurants) otherwise there isn’t much around and there isn’t a dinner or lunch option onsite, only breakfast. Our room was large, but fairly old. Nice big bathroom and bath tub. Bed was comfortable. The staff were nice, we had a few communication issues, I tried contacting them with a few questions pre arrival, and they were a bit slow to reply or just didn’t reply so it was hard to make a few arrangements in advance. Overall though, it was comfortable and affordable.

A bit outdated but nice

Tanya and her team were very friendly and welcoming and the breakfasts in particular were great. I was initially given a room where the AC unit was not working which was crucial as I visited during the summer months but thankfully Tanya resolved this by relocating me to another room. The rooms were also were spacious and felt like great value for money.

The location is slightly far away from Sandton city centre but nonetheless still safe and accessible.

A little gem , spotlessly clean , great location. Tanya is an amazing hostess, home from home 😊
