Location is very strategic, near the central of the town and also easy to reach if you're planning to visit Surabaya by plane, since it's really close to the highway exit gate. The atmosphere is really great, I like the smell around the lobby also in the room. Services are also really great, especially the hospitality of the receptionist, they're really helpful and kind, Rima is one of them.

The rooms were large and the staff, especially housekeeping and maintenance were extremely helpful. The rooms were also generally well appointed.

The WIFi was woeful. I couldn’t send emails and other messages. Called the front desk and they asked me to try alternate WIFI from the apartments. If the hotel aims to attract business clients they need to improve. Location wasn’t the best compared to other hotels close to malls et

My first time with Vasa Hotel. I got upgrade from standard to suite room. The room is spacious and comfortable. They got you bathtub and harman kardon speaker. 3 TV in one room is crazy. Thank you mba Saffa for assisting me.

It is a very nice hotel, centrally situated. We were on a floor quite high up so it was quiet. The rooms were comfortable and well appointed. Breakfast was good.

Parking was confusing. The car park isn't well signed and it was tricky to navigate.

Vasa is the most amazing hotel in surabaya, very cozy when we arrived at the lobby, staff very helpfull with the luggage, met saffa and she really loves joking with the kids. the decoration in the lobby are unique and beautiful. The are many great spots for taking photos. Thankyou Vasa

I checked in early and had no trouble checking in. I received confirmation via WhatsApp that my room was available at 11:30 AM. The room was beyond my imagination... I was very satisfied. I was also named guest of the day and had the opportunity to enjoy the service in the executive lounge on the 33rd floor... this executive lounge is truly extraordinary. Thanks Vasa Hotel & Teams.

I recently stayed at Vasa Hotel Surabaya for two days, and while the hotel itself is beautiful and the breakfast selection is generous and delicious, what truly made my experience unforgettable was the exceptional service from Bernita. Every morning, I had a bit of difficulty entering the restaurant due to some issues, but Bernita was always there, ready to assist with a warm smile and patience. Her kindness, professionalism, and friendly attitude made a big difference in my stay. She consistently went out of her way to ensure I felt welcomed and taken care of. It’s rare to encounter someone who genuinely cares about guests the way Bernita does. I’m certain I wouldn’t have received the same level of care and support at any other hotel. She’s a true asset to the Vasa team. Thank you, Bernita, for the hospitality. You made my mornings brighter and my stay so much more comfortable ⭐️

3rd stay: this time the c/in process was fast. I had problem with the sleeper regulation. I can’t use the sleeper outside the room, they said its for safety matter but i think its just because they want to cut their budget. When i had bfast on 2nd floor i had to wait for sometime for them to refill the fried rice. And 1 of the black uniform chef (chef de partie or demi chef, i guess, or maybe DUMMY chef, LOL) told me that they always wait the food on the line to finish first and they will make a new one (stupid answer in my opinion), u can’t wait until the food finish to make a new one, the food taste was just okay nothing special for 5 stars hotel. And i found a piece of ‘HAIR’ on my plate under the omelete that i order. When i told one of the waiter, the waiter seems not surprise n just said ‘oh iya’ without any apology. Seems like they need to learn more about basic service. And when i share my feelings to the front desk, both the agent and i dont know the other lady whether she is the spv or manager (the chubby old lady) both insisted telling me that the sleeper is room facilities and not guest facilities, so guest can’t take the sleeper outside the room. Seriously they need to learn more about hospitality industry. So my review for this hotel, the hotel facilities was just OKAY, but the service is so POOR in most of dept. The hotel is 5stars, but the service is so poor 1st stay :I hated my c/i process. the check-in process took a long time, more than half an hour even almost 1 hour because the front desk agent gave the wrong room and did not match my request (it seemed futile to fill in the request column at Traveloka when booking). Front desk agent seemed overwhelmed by the crowd of guests, there were only 2 front desk agents at the time, supervisors and managers were only busy hiding in the back office. after I got the room I want, it was very simple, 1 large bed and smoking room. I found my room without an ashtray (they sell smoking room but do not provide any ashtray in the smoking room), to get an ashtray, I had to wait more than 1 hour. exaggerated. rooms, facilities, buildings, food, are quite satisfying, but their front office services seems too excessive to be called a 5 star hotel.

Swimming pool is small. Room lighting is too dimmed.

Staffs were very courteous and pleasant.

The elevators/lifts were insufficient and slow.

The A/C is not strong enough. Rooms are outdated and white towels are stained. Ok bed and nice staff.

Elevator is so bad. Need more elevator. 36 floor building only 4 elevator that goes all the way to top floor. Even worse 1 one of them is out of service. Staff keep telling 1 is out of service. Even if it is on service it’s still insufficient. Needs at least 6 elevator that serves up to the top.

Service were a bit lacking, slow reception for check in, hotel facility getting a bit run down, only one lift available at night so need to wait a long time

Very posh and well equipped hotel located in one of the best spot in west Surabaya. Which unfortunately is also it's downside. Avoid staying here when there are known large events happening. Combined with the nightmare that is the nearby freeway exit, we had been stuck waiting for our turn at the elevator for 15-20mins, despite their staff best effort to coordinate it in real time with radios. Waiting for your valet to return can also take up to 30mins during some of these events.

We like everything, spacious room with table and couch that allows us to work from our room, the window allows plenty of natural light during the day and at night the room has good lighting. AC was a bit noisy but comfortable we can set the temperature ourselves. The is a sliding door that keeps the bedroom area separate from the bathroom area, which was a genius touch, not only it cuts down the noise from the corridors, it also made sure that if one of us needs to use the bathroom, the sliding door keeps the bedroom quiet and dark. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choices, always fresh and hot, coffee was plentiful. Location of the hotel is also very convenient for the things that we need to get done.

Our room is right around the corner from the elevator, so we can hear the elevator going up and down, it takes time to get our ears used to it, doesn’t bother us afterwards

Overall experience

the bed was comfortable, with large pillows made you sleep deeper the bathroom itself tidy and neat even little bit smaller size for this kind of hotel and most memorable experience was the breakfast, complete and lot of choices

the lift had strange sound, like an old lift and never had maintenance

The vibes of the lobby and the restaurant was perfect.

The room! It's more likely a 4 stars room standard not a 5 stars. They need to pay more attention to details of the room. I had to change the hair dryer 2 times, as they started to smell burnt

Hospitality, clean, and such a helpful and thoughful toward my family, experiences an emergency situation to hospital at 01:30 am. My mom condition was critical, the Staff able to help to provide vehicle for us to go to ER at nearby hospital. At the morning the manager reached me to check my mom condition, assisted my 3 years old son & his nanny for breakfast, such a thoughful of you. Thank you
