Really kind staff, the girl who served us at breakfast on 25/08 was especially lovely. Room was exactly as expected and comfortable.

Rooms slightly dated and could with a lick of paint, but to be fair the cost of the room reflects this.

Clean rooms and friendly staff

The staff very helpful & friendly, room clean welcoming, food very good, good menu choice, would stay again, close to where we needed to be, had the choice of breakfast but due to commitments were unable to enjoy.

There wasn't any thing we didn't like.

Habitaciones muy básicas....la nuestra solo tenía 6 perchas en.una pequeña barra con soporte(ningún armario) y ni un cajón . Muy difícil organizarnos

The breakfast was good, and the staff member who served it was friendly and very funny. The hotel is very close to a bus stop, which makes commuting to the city centre easy. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was spacious and clean.

I tried calling the hotel before arriving, but received no reply. At my arrival, at around 7pm, I had to wait at the reception for about ten minutes, after ringing a bell to call a member of staff. Some staff walked by, but did not acknowledge me. I appreciate they might have been busy (although the pub did not seem busy to me), and a simple acknowledgement of my presence would have been enough. I eventually went around to the pub area to find a member of staff who could help me, before being told I had to wait longer. This was not tragic, but not pleasant either. The walls of my room were very thin, and I could clearly hear people having conversations in other rooms, as well as the noise from the pub downstairs. I could hear people walking along the corridor or up and down the stairs. The room was also very grey. A bit of colour would be enough to brighten up the space :)

Not much...perhaps bed and pillows a little hard but that's very subjective and possibly not fair to comment on. Room slighty stuffy as not much window opening but as on a busy road that's understandable

The heater in the room didn’t work - even though, when we told staff, we were told it was on a timer - it never came on. The weather was particularly cold that weekend and a cosy room would have been appreciated

Location was within walking distance of local family. Staff are busy but always pleasant helpful and professional.

The building is showing its age but to be fair there were signs of upgrades in place: e.g. smell of fresh paint in some areas.

Broken glass in entrance door. Stains on furniture, soap dispenser in room empty, building in need of love and attention, breakfast not value for money.

The room was nice (no1), but very small. Spotless clean, noisy street outside if you leave the window open, woken twice by sirens, but dropped off again, bed comfy, everything you need really. Hairdryer, iron, board, tea/coffee making, hand and shower soap. Will defo stay again.

Easy to find, free car parking, friendly and helpful staff, comfy beds, tasteful decor, pub had lots of TV screens showing different football matches, rooms had an iron and ironing board and hairdryer,

The shower in the first room I was allocated didn't work properly - the water came out scalding and then didn't flow properly. The carpet in the room hadn't been hoovered properly - there were bits of mud all over it and the room was cold. The manager very kindly moved me to a different (much larger) room which an excellent shower over the bath. I thought breakfast was okay. It would be nice if the continental items were available without asking. I left after having some cooked food, but would've eaten more if I'd had the option of helping myself to other items.

The room was small but warm and well-equipped, with a comfortable bed and a good shower. It had all I needed for a short stay of a few nights while working and visiting family in the nearby area. It was also very quiet given its location on a busy junction. All the staff I met were very friendly and happy to help.

I was a bit disappointed with the cooked breakfast.

Breakfast was very nice. The kids got pancakes and nutella and the staff were very friendly. The beds were comfy. The room was cosy to come back to and a decent size.

Kitchen smells in the bathroom and the free wifi was a bit patchy in our room.

Sitting under tv too loud was turned down when asked, no fore thought. Heater in room not apparently working or timed set but room still warm enough. Need more milk and bits in room. Peas cold with meal.

Pub is a little grim, shower dribbled - very poor power, staff pretty miserable.

Lovely room,traffic noise was loud,had to keep bedroom,bathroom windows closed still noisy but expected on main road to city centre,have stayed there 3 times previously so know what to expect.x

STAFF ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC AND SO HELPFULL

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Decor was a little tired. Good car parking. Breakfast good. No instructions for electric radiator so took a little time to work out how to use. Pillows very hard. Only a short walk to reach Jesmond Dene and Ouseburn valley which is a very nice place to visit

Restaurant menu was good value and tasty, but menu is limited and several items were unavailable. Staff were friendly but could not be described as professional.

The property is tired and dated, especially the bedroom. Bedroom and bathroom were both small and shower was poor. Staff were hard to find at breakfast (eventually found playing one of the games machines). No other dining options within walking distance.

Breakfast superb, lots of choice. Tea and coffee in good supply. Room immaculately clean and warm. Can't fault anything, 10/10. Staff very friendly and very helpful. Bar prices very reasonable and food choices good. Would recommend and definitely come again.
