Adamson Hotel

De ligging was prima voor onze doorreis. Het ontbijt was redelijk, maar de ontbijtzaal was nadat wij binnen kwamen (en we bij iemand anders aan tafel konden zitten) wel vol en sommige mensen moesten in de lobby eten.

We hadden een twin room geboekt omdat we met 2 personen reisden die niet samen slapen, maar omdat het hotel onze boeking niet goed had verwerkt kregen we een double room met een (voor ons) te klein tweepersoonsbed. Prima als je met een partner slaapt, maar dat was niet onze reisgezelschap. Het antwoord van het team terplaatse was dat ze niks voor ons konden betekenen, omdat het volgeboekt was. Ook mochten we de reservering niet kosteloos annuleren om een ander verblijf te zoeken, want we hadden gereserveerd? Dat we niet kregen wat we gereserveerd hadden, bleek voor de receptie niet ter zake... We hadden dus een slechte nachtrust. Ook na een mail achteraf werd ons mede gedeeld dat ze er niks aan konden doen en ons een z-bed was aangeboden, zodat een van beiden op de grond kon slapen. Dat was echter niet het geval, want er was alleen een apart dekbed aangeboden. De aftercare was erg slecht. Na een bericht dat ze het vervelend voor ons vonden, bleef verder bericht van het management op onze reactie (dat er geen z-bed was aangeboden) uit. Hele slechte service dus.

Property was in a good location, convenient to get to all places, plenty of off road parking.

Breakfast was chaotic, not a lot of organisation. Cooked breakfast was bland, not a big choice. Evening meals were quite expensive. Staff sometimes left you waiting at the bar to be served by serving someone else even though you had been waiting longer.

Good parking on site. Our ground-floor room was clean and comfortable. The buffet-style breakfast was as expected in this type of establishment … adequate – but nothing special.

More ‘motel’ than hotel. The walls were paper-thin and consequently we were party to the giggling and conversation pieces from the adjoining room which went on late into the night.

The restaurant was great, very well styled and restaurant staff were attentive. Food was excellent.

Reception was rather cool and lacking in good customer service. Only the briefest of information was given, and nothing else offered. We arrived to find we couldn't eat in the restaurant as it was full. Surely residents are always factored into a reserved table for dinner? Had to prise information about other eateries in the area from the Receptionist.

The staff were super friendly and nice

The noise. My room heard all the carpark noise, all the corridor noise and the walls seemed paper thin. I could hear the people talking next door. I know that's a structural issue but maybe need to think about triple glazing or some sound proofing wall material. Also, sorry to complain breakfast ending at 930am on a weekend was disappointing. After a hard week and long journey we welcomed a lay in and so decided to miss our breakfast. Please lengthen to 1030am or at least 10am

the hotel was beautiful and very clean. the room was lovely, and clean. I would definitely recommend it.and I will go there and stay again. the staff were so helpful, and very nice and polite. it was marvellous.

Der Hotel-Account zu booking.com wurde offens. gehackt! Dies führte zu einer Belastung meiner Kreditkarte von insges. 800€! Obwohl die Betrungsmasche seit April 2026 lt. Internet-Recherche bereits bekannt ist, wurden keinerlei Sicherheitslücken geschlossen/Gegenmaßnahmen getroffen! Frühstück: leider kein Angebot von Wurt-Käse usw., Brot ausschl. als Toastbrot ...!

The staff on reception were most helpful and made me feel at home. I had a lovely size room with a nice size shower and bathroom and was given a nice spot to store my cycle overnight. I ate in the hotel restaurant and can rate the meals and the hotel itself was very well presented.

No information given about serving yourself,just told sit anywhere.Felt like a canteen watching people clearing their plates,putting cutlery into a special container.Would rather pay extra,.For a little bit of service! The bathroom shower needs a complete overhaul and deep clean.Also the rust on the radiator needsĺ replacing.Including the fittings.

We stayed one night to sleep in vicinity of Edinburgh airport, so we did not explore the surroundings much, but 5 minutes by car you can reach a shopping area you can bet whatever you need, the hotel itself was on the main road easily accessible with ample parking. Rooms clean and decent size, nice in house restaurant, as we left early we did not have the breakfast, but they packed it for us

Keine Haken im Bad, einloggen ins WLAN zu umständlich. Frühstück war sehr sparsam aber dafür kostet die Nacht auch nicht viel. Das darf man nicht vergessen ! Man bekommt, wofür man bezahlt ;) Abends im Restaurant sehr lecker gegessen

Fairly close to Edinburgh, but a car is required. Clean room.

Walls are thin so that you can hear your neighbors TV and talking. I had two bookings and in the first room (108) the matrace or bed was somehow broken and had a slope outwards. The breakfast was not pleasant as it was the minimum quality available and not really variety. Also the coffee didn't taste good.

Das Abendessen im Restaurant war sehr gut.

Nur das Eis hat mir nicht gefallen, Raspberry ripple schmeckte nach Chemie und nicht nach Himbeeren. Eine Katastrophe war das Trinkwasser: Es schmeckte nach Chlor. Man konnte nur in der Badewanne duschen, es war rutschig und es gab nichts zum Festhalten. Die Toilette hatte keinen Deckel. Das Bad an sich war unbequem konstruiert. Der Fernseher funktionierte nicht und man kümmerte sich nicht darum. Für eine Nacht konnte man es hinnehmen.

Ziemlicher Gestank am Parkplatz- Kanal oder Umgebung, schwer zu sagen. Mitarbeiterin im Restaurant schickte uns weg, obwohl es eigentlich laut Öffnungszeiten noch Essen geben sollte. Da es keine weiteren Restaurant gibt, holten wir im Imbiss was - sehr gut, aber schade. Lüften im Zimmer kaum möglich, sehr stickig - und wegen des Gestanks mussten wir das Fenster geschlossen halten.

Convenient for location. Peaceful, well laid out with good car parking. Staff lovely, accommodation excellent & breakfast included in my price which is a bonus. Bed so comfy too. Will most definitely be using this hotel again in the future. Well worth the money as hotels in Edinburgh are a ridiculous price and I am not a tourist, I live in Scotland.

L'hôtel propose des chambres simples à un bon rapport qualité prix : nous avions une standard double et une executive double. Le bar restaurant est bien et nous sommes partis très tôt, ils nous ont préparé un petit déjeuner à emporter : c'était super !

Our room was quiet and comfortable and easily accessible. We dined in the restaurant in the evening and really enjoyed our meals, steak for myself and my son, chicken for my wife, all very tasty and fairly priced.

Very disappointed with the breakfast selection. The cooked breakfast items were limited and there was not a great selection of other breakfast items. A choice of croissants, pastries, cheese, ham and rolls would have been most welcome.

Everything, ee asked for an early check in which was no problem. The room was great and the bed comfatable. Plenty of room in the car park. Also the breakfast was delicious.

Der kostenlose Parkplatz direkt am Hotel. Das Abendessen war gut, der Nachtisch sehr gut. Das Bett was bequem. Die Zimmertüren knallen laut zu, sodass man nachts durch andere Gäste geweckt wird.

Im Badezimmer in der Ecke lagen Haare und Schmutz auf dem Boden. Die Bodenfliesen waren teilweise kaputt. Sehr geringe Auswahl beim Frühstück. Jeden Tag Spiegelei, Speck Würstchen Bohnen mit Toast. Abgepackte Marmelade. Kornflakes, Frosties. Kaffee und Tee zu trinken und Milch und Orangensaft.

No remote control for TV. Not just my issue heard the other guests complain of the same issue. I was staying for a course for 2 nights it was unresolved. First floor way too hot and extremely noisy from downstairs.

There were a number of maintenence issues which we reported at check out We didn't notice them until late evening when going to bed. In the morning we were told no manager or maintenence staff on site. Doubtful that these had just arisen and not dealt with before the room was available for use.

Limited availability of rooms with baths, which required an upgrade. I forgot a shower cap, but when I asked at reception they had none. Have never stayed in a hotel that couldn’t offer a shower cap before!

Tutto sommato struttura carina, il personale è gentile e disponibile. La stanza pulita e sufficientemente grande. Buona anche la colazione.

La camera al primo piano affaccia sul parcheggio, rendendo impossibile la possibilità di lasciare la finestra aperta senza tenda, per assenza di privacy. I saponi presenti nel bagno non erano affissi al muro, ma per terra; poco igienico e soprattutto scomodo.

This stay was on the first floor with a small sized window higher up on the wall which was okay but one to watch when booking. Good parking space. Lovely covered sitting out garden area. Would recommend. Would stay again.

Quiet location handy for Edinburgh Airport

Water pressure was very poor especially in shower. Door would bang every time someone in the hallway went through the hallway door.

C'était très sale, plein d'éclaboussures sur la TV, des traces de doigts partout sur la vitre de la fenêtre, le rideau de douche qui est moisi et qui sent la moisissure, des cheveux et des poils partout autour du toilette et derrière la porte de la salle de bain, il y avait même un cache lame de rasoir par terre dans la salle de bain.

A bit of dust behind the bedside cabinets - nothing major. Faulty bedside table light a bit of a pain but quickly remedied by staff without issue.

The mini rave that seemed to take place in the Function Room from 6pm - 1.30am. Great tunes but the bass literally shook the room I was in.

Don’t try to negociate if you’re a bit late I arrived during the weekend and the receptionist told me breakfast was from 8 to 10. BUT nobody told me it was different during the week. Like 90% of people travelling to Edinburgh in August, it was for leisure, so difference between Sunday ans Monday. I arrived at 9:15 and breakfast was… from 7 to 9 of course ! « We could have red the poster (it’s a stamp nobody reads) on the reception desk, sir ». I kindly asked for toasts. « No sir, we have no food anymore »… 39 bedrooms and you have no food ?!! Come on… this staff member gives a totally opposite image of the Scots people which is so friendly and welcoming. Well done, Madame.

We waren voor de tattoo in Edinburgh. Van hier naar een P&R was goed te doen. En met de bus naar het centrum was ook makkelijk. 's avonds terug hebben we ook zonder problemen kunnen doen.

Het ontbijt kan beter. Weinig keuze maar dat is Schotland.

Buona posizione ottima per passare la notte fuori da Edimburgo per proseguire il viaggio verso nord, la camera era confortevole, il bagno un po' datato ma abbastanza pulito, anche il parcheggio comodo.

Al nostro arrivo verso tarda serata c'era una festa in corso nel ristorante che è proprio attaccato alle camere, al piano terra, che si affacciano anche sul parcheggio. C'era confusione, non si riusciva neanche a capire cosa dicesse la ragazza alla reception (che era anche la zona bar dove veniva servito da bere). La colazione da migliorare, la maggior parte delle cose era finita e non più reintegrata, c'erano solo delle salsicce, uova, funghi, fagioli, dei cereali, latte e succo. Il buffet aveva le tovaglie sporche, per terra era appiccicoso.

Staff were very helpful and friendly. The food in the restaurant was at a good standard and breakfast plentiful.

My only observation was the bed mattress was too soft for my personal taste. Other than that, I couldn't fault it.
