There were many positives, most of all the hosts Kevin and Chris. The food was delicious and generous. Breakfast was too, cooked freshly to order. The location is in a quiet residential area which I was aware of. If you need a bit of rest and relaxation after a busy tour/holiday, then you can’t go wrong by booking Brookdale House.

Heel fijne accommodatie met een zeer vriendelijke host. Prima ontbijt en we hebben er een heerlijke boboti gegeten.

Volgens booking.com is er een restaurant. Maar toen wij om 17:00u aankwamen, bleek dat wij vooraf hadden moeten aangeven dat wij er wilden eten. Misschien handig om dit vooraf even bij de gasten te melden.

Absolutely amazing. The host Kevin goes over and beyond to please his guests. Highly highly recomend.

There is nothing not to like

Hébergement pris pour une nuit car bien situé entre le centre du Cap et l' aéroport. Quel accueil de la part de Kevin! On s est tout de suite sentis comme à la maison dans ce lieu qui recueille aussi des animaux perdus, une vraie maison d' hôtes comme on aime ! Merci à Kevin pour son énergie et sa bonne humeur communicative, et aussi pour ses talents de cuisinier

Special mention must be made of Leslie. She was wonderful in being kind and understanding when I was experiencing a bit of stress with regard to airport transfers for the next day. A kind and delightful soul. I did not have much interaction with the other staff. Kev was a truly lively and good host. Breakfast was great. Airport transfer organized and made the difference to the stay. Stress free night.

Lovely guest house

The location with the garden, the view on Table Mountain. Very comfortable room, large space. The host, Kevin, was very friendly and helpful.

Sehr freundlicher Empfang. Gute Tipps für's Abendessen in Restaurants in der Umgebung. Wir mussten sehr früh wieder abreisen und bekamen deshalb ein Lunchpaket mit auf den Weg, damit wir unser Frühstück auf dem Flughafen einnehmen konnten, super Service! Trotz der frühen Stunde half uns der Eigentümer bei der Abreise sogar noch beim Einladen des Gepäcks.

Le charme de cette magnifique maison avec une décoration recherchée et surtout l’accueil exceptionnel de Kevin qui est à la fois un hôte très chaleureux, qui prend le temps de vous accueillir et de vous renseigner mais aussi un excellent cuisinier. Merci pour tout

Brookdale House was a lovely place to stay, the room was very clean and comfortable and the neighbourhood was really nice. Herman was a very welcoming and friendly host and made a delicious breakfast! I’d definitely recommend Brookdale house to anyone visiting Cape Town!

Herman is a fantastic host. He cares about the guests. He's very helpful for everything. The location is quiet and not far from Cape Town center. The breakfast was delicious and more than enough. The cottage was cleaned everyday. If I have to come back to Cape Town, I will definitely book again Brookdale House.

My stay at Brookdale House was nothing short of exceptional! The hosts were incredibly welcoming, going above and beyond to ensure every need was met with warmth and genuine care and awesome sarcasm to lighten the mood lol. Their attentiveness and helpfulness made the experience feel like a home away from home. The breakfast was a highlight—absolutely delicious, with a fantastic variety of fresh, high-quality options that catered to every taste. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, making it the perfect retreat. I can’t recommend Brookdale House highly enough for anyone seeking a memorable stay with outstanding hospitality!

I can't recommend Brookdale House highly enough. Herman and Kevin were very welcoming and hospitable, my room was great and really comfortable and clean, breakfast was lovely. It's also in a very quiet neigbourhood. My flight wasn't until the afternoon so the hosts kindly let me stay and work in the lounge until it was time to leave, and provided tea!

Everything was great, and there wasn't anything I didn't like. It would have been handy to be able to plug in a charger by the bed, but a very minor observation.

What words can be used to describe something that exceeds expectations in every sense? Herman & Kevin were over the top best hosts; generous, warm, very kind but mostly very quirky 😁! The breakfast was soulful & the place is so tastefully designed. Brookdale was a fantastic choice! My family & I loved it to bits!

It would be nice if there was a small ' fridge in our room, however I realise thay our's was a standard room, so maybe some of the other rooms do have this facility.

Brookedale house is in a quiet peaceful area. The room was very clean and the service excellent. Breakfast wad rich and plentiful. Kevin and Herman are great hosts.

This is my second stay at Brookdale House. It is comfortable, clean and well-managed. It is also very convenient, being close to my Cape Town office. Herman is a great host, and makes everyone feel at home. Ther staff are friendly and efficient. I will definitely book Brookdale House again.

The only negative, for me was that there was no remote for the air-con. It was very hot on our first night, and we were not able to use the air-con.

The host was welcoming and attentive. The breakfast was tailored to my preference and a vegetarian who loves having spicy breakfast ;) and I enjoyed interacting with the host's dog. The place is very clean and cosy.

The room was a bit cold. It would be great to have a heater in the room for winter.

Brookdale House was perfect for my needs - close to the airport and close to my office. It was neat, clean, comfortable, and friendly. Eric and Herman were great hosts, and the breakfasts were very good.

A shaving mirror in the bathroom would have been nice. There is no mirror above the basin in the bathroom, so when shaving I had to keep going backwards and forwards between the basin and the mirror. This was not a major hardship, just a bit inconvenient. Also, a fan in the bedroom would have helped. It was extremely hot in Cape Town. I know the booklet in the room said I could ask for one, but I feel one in each room would have been more convenient. Apart from those two small niggles, I enjoyed my stay at Brookdale house.

Hosts were very warm and welcoming. Went out of their way to assist us in any way. When we were out for whole day and come back, lights were switched on and curtains closed. Ice bucket awaits us!! Breakfasts really good!!

The service was exceptional - you feel welcomed and comfortable. The recommendations of the staff allowed for us to explore Cape Town relatively inexpensively and we knew we were coming back to a quiet, peaceful place to stay. Excellent experience.

Everything was just right - not too much or too little. Clean sheets and towels, clean and peaceful room, comfortable bed, WiFi working. Good breakfast.

I had to disclose the three digits on the back of my credit card, in order to pay for dinner. I do not like that as it is not secure. Otherwise, everything was perfect.

No privacy! If the person who own the place stay at property that doesn’t mean they are allowed whatsoever they want to do with customer( I paid to stay)They were rude , so nasty attitude. Even the owner came to me drunk in the evening and wanted to talk to me rubbish. I wasn’t feeling safe . They also discriminated the way they treated me. This person threatened me and took my video for irrelevant reason. So the matter went to near Police Station and this person had to apologized for such conduct. The place might look clean but people who cook breakfast not clean. Unclean handling of food . Also if you allergic to dogs don’t stay here , they lied and I found dogs hair on blanket

The hosts were absolutely fabulous and made us feel welcome from the 1st minute. They showed themselves open to each and any of our requests and managed to make us feel at home. The property is well maintained and secure, within easy reach of both airport and city. We will be back!
