Que el cuarto estaba justo enfrente del comedor

Excelente ubicación, muy bonito el concepto del hotel y sus instalaciones, el personal muy amable.

Bien ubicado, a solo pasos del mercado y Zócalo, el personal que me atendió muy amable.

El hotel no se parece en nada a las fotos, las habitaciones son viejas, oscuras y dan mucha alergia, el baño lo encontré con moho y las sábanas estaban sucias con manchas, razones por las que decidí salir corriendo del lugar, como es pago anticipado se quedaron con todo mi dinero y no me lo quieren retornar.

Solo las instalaciones, a excepción de la cama, muy incomoda.

El personal es muy descortés, te reciben molestos y no ayudaron con el equipaje a la habitación, no pude tomar el desayuno incluido ya que no decía el horario y el personal de recepción nunca dio especificaciones a mi llegada, tampoco me preguntaron si llevaba auto y donde podía dejarlo.

Una habitación cama excelente y otra con una confortable, como siempre buena atención y un muy buen lugar para el descanso, la biblioteca es hermosa, un lugar a visitar, los detalles del lugar te roban fotografías

La falta de estacionamiento si es complicado para quien no planea ir lejos, seria bueno llegarán a algun acurdo de estacionamientos con descuento, desgraciadamente ya no es tan seguro dejarlos en la calle a los autos.

De las 5 noches, 4 no hubo agua, osea no podías ni ir al baño y no lo solucionaron, el ruido en las habitaciones hace que no descanses y el baño tiene un fuerte olor a caño.

La ubicación es maravillosa, en pleno centro de oaxaca en una calle con mucha vida

Las habitaciones super sucias, mucho polvo, bastones de los oídos en el suelo, suciedad que no se limpia en años... bastante asqueroso. Tampoco había ascensor, en la habitación siempre entra luz ya que en algunas ventanas no hay cortinas. En cuanto al desayuno, empieza bastante tarde, a las 8am, les pedimos si porfavor podíamos desayunar 10 minutos antes (teníamos desayuno incluido) ya que nuestro tour comenzaba a las 8am y nos dijeron que no. Un día desayunamos rápido ahí, y el desayuno deja mucho que desear, sólo tienen lo que ellos te ofrecen, huevos, café de olla o la fruta que ellos tengan ese día. No recomiendo para nada coger la opción de desayuno.

Lo único que puedo rescatar del hotel es que tiene muy buena ubicación; a unos pasos está el mercado benito juárez y a una calle el 20 de noviembre. La ubicación está muy bien. En cuanto al servicio deja mucho que desear. Primero que nada, la habitación que nos tocó está a lado de la cocina, entonces era incómodo escuchar las voces del personal a las 7:00 am. Segundo; la cama está muy dura, nada que ver la habitación que reservé por medio de booking a la que nos asignaron, la cabecera rechina demasiado, el baño está muy chico. Tercero; el servicio, en ningún momento nos ofrecieron algún servicio de tours, el servicio de limpieza pésimo parece que medio barren y trapean, se notó que no lavaban el baño, no sacudieron las mesas, las toallas no las cambiaron, cuando solicitamos cambio de toallas tardaron demasiado en ir a entregárnosla. Cuarto; la comida, una vez desayunamos ahí, éramos la única mesa (solo dos personas) tardaron en atendernos y en llevarnos la comida, el café lo entregaron chorreado, las quesadillas de flor de calabaza estaba fría pareció que sólo vaciaron la flor a la quesadilla y ya (sin haberla guisado antes). Quinto; la red wifi es pésima, al menos en la habitación que nos asignaron casi no agarraba (ninguna de las opciones de internet) y cuando agarraba era lento, al igual que la red de telefonía no agarraba, tenía que salir del hotel para poder hacer llamadas. Nunca nos informaron que a cierta hora de la noche cerraban la puerta de la entrada. En general, no recomiendo hospedarse aquí, lo único rescatable es la ubicación, para futuros viajes prefiero pagar más por un mejor hotel donde den un mejor servcio y trato al cliente. Las fotos de las habitaciones que hay en booking nada que ver a la habitación en físico, cuentan con bastante oportunidad de mejora.

The bed was very hard, I didn’t sleep the first night but they added an extra mattress pad for night two but it still was very uncomfortable.

The hotel is amazing! Bed was comfortable and very quiet! Loved the furniture and up stairs patio.

Very noisy. Being and old character building, a lot of humming noise etc. that made it hard to sleep. The beds were hard.

Las instalaciones están realmente cuidadas y están hermosas onda colonial, tiene arte muy bello dentro.

No tenía comida ni variedad de bebidas para vender y el desayuno abría a las 8am y yo me iba a las 6am, todos los hoteles donde he ido abren antes su comedor o te dan algo para llevar, este ninguna de las 2. Pedía un taxi y yo esperando y tuve que bajar para que me dijeran que no consiguieron y que salga por mi cuenta.

It looked just like the pictures, close to everything in town.

There was no hot water or elevator

The staff was friendly and helpful with assisting me in opening and closing my room, the gentleman even helped me store some cheese I was bringing back to the states. Very nice guy.

The location, far from places and traveling alone I do have to stay I was a bit scared having to walk in the dark streets (which I understand it's out of the hotels hands). Waking up in the morning, I love to shower hot water was working but the amount of water coming out was impossible to shower, tired the cold water and same thing. Felt disgusted all day without being about to shower. I had to catch a flight that same morning. Sorry but don't recommend I'm a clean persona and didn't like that I was unable to shower.

The room was ok , but they gave us a room right in the entrance in the hall to the kitchen .. so it was very loud all the time you can hear people walking at the entrance and the kitchen it was really hard to sleep .. and no parking at all ..

Our room shouldn’t be a room at all .. it felt like the private room for the chef or something like that , pretty small hotel

Die Lage des Hotels ist zentral und der koloniale Stil und die Einrichtung sind schön.

Es gab in unserem Zimmer eine extreme Lärmbelästigung, insbesondere in der Nacht. Das Zimmer lag an einem Lichtschacht (kein richtiges Fenster nach außen). Von dort kam Lärm , verursacht wahrscheinlich durch die Wasserpumpe und die Außenteile der Klimaanlagen, vielleicht auch durch etwas anderes, jedenfalls Motorengeräusche. Die ganze Nacht durch, an und aus. Schlaf war kaum möglich. Ich habe dies dreimal an der Rezeption angesprochen, aber es wurde nichts unternommen und kein anderes Zimmer zur Verfügung gestellt. Wahrscheinlich war dies auch nicht möglich, da keine Kapazitäten da waren. Jedenfalls gab es kein Entgegenkommen. Das Hotel bietet zudem keine Parkmöglichkeiten, hat auch keine Vereinbarung mit umliegenden Parkplätzen.

La colazione inizia troppo tardi (8.30), se si vogliono fare delle escursioni guidate, si deve saltare la colazione. La sera non si può cenare in hotel, la cucina chiude presto, alle 18. La presa del comodino non funzionava , quindi niente luce da lettura. La cosa peggiore: di notte rumore continuo degli impianti , qualche motore/pompa che si accende e si spegne x tutto il tempo.

Purtroppo il soggiorno non ha soddisfatto le aspettative in rapporto al prezzo. Abbiamo riscontrato problemi con l’acqua calda, il WC e l’aria condizionata, oltre a rumori notturni che hanno disturbato il riposo. Sarebbe auspicabile una maggiore attenzione al cliente da parte del personale che non si è nemmeno scusato

Si reservas por Booking o algún otro portal, te apartan la habitación mas fea, la cama está muy maltratada, el colchón muy maltratado, el desayuno es malo, el personal es poco educado.

Durante los desayunos, en varias oportunidades hubo que solicitar cambio de tenedores y tazas porque estaban mal lavados. Las habitaciones son un poco oscuras. El wifi molestaba continuamente.

5 minutes walk from the Zocalo, spacious room, good quality of sleep, very friendly staff. They help you organise tours which saves you a lot of money compared to viator or getyourguide.

My wife loved the old architecture. The look of the hotel was good. The room was the photos shown.

We were not received very well at check in. Nothing was explained to us. We had to ask for the WiFi. It wasn’t given to us like most hotels. They didn’t explain the facilities, the restaurant hrs, check out time or anything else. We lost our opportunity to eat breakfast because it wasn’t explained that breakfast for only 2 hrs in the morning.

Cold shower, little privacy (the doors have a gap underneath and windows — only a curtain provides privacy but it does the make the room sound proof). There was mold in the bathroom.

Location was great, right in the heart of the Historic district. Close to the Zocalo and other sites. They offer some excursion planning at the hotel. We walked to some nice restaurants that were within a couple of blocks and there was a grocery store just down the street to pick up any extra items.

We had a situation that there were no towels available one day. They removed our towels from the room and we were gone all day on a tour. When we got back I asked about towels for the room and was told none would be available until later that evening. The hotel was fully occupied and they were not able to provide even 1 towel for our room. this was the only problem and we didn't have any issues the rest of the stay.

Atendimento muito ruim cheguei e reservaram o mesmo quarto para dois hóspedes , após muita conversa me instalaram no quarto de mais difícil acesso 3 lances de escada , tenho 64 anos , não existe como contactar recepção sem telefone no quarto , tive um problema com troco do dinheiro que paguei passeio no próprio hotel , café da manhã ruim somente as 8 e 30 da manhã , se contratar um passeio que saem 8 horas sem café da manhã

Oaxaca is AMAZING! The staff at Casa Garay were great. My room was perfect size, the bed was way too hard and the A/C unit did not cool the room. Never got anyone to repair it either.

Its location is great. It is a bit like staying in ‘faulty towers’ The furniture and original fittings are great.

My bathroom had damp and mould. The water was occasionally hot. Cold/ warm’ish mostly if lucky. The shower head needed a lime scale remover. The breakfast coffee cups seem to all have cracks. 7/8 were cracked.(maybe they saved the cracked ones especially for us?)

La habitación era amplia, con una cama muy grande y la decoración del hotel en general es bastante bonita. La localización es buena, cerca del Mercado 20 de Noviembre y en especial del Pasillo del Humo. El resto del centro histórico de la ciudad están bastante cerca caminando

"Boutique hotel" es un título de mal gusto 1. El agua caliente de la ducha dura un par de minutos. Mi estancia fue de 4 noches y no fueron capaces de solucionarlo en todo el tiempo, incluso un día nos inundaron la habitación y no la limpiaron hasta el día siguiente. 2. Hay un mecanismo de propulsión del agua que arranca cada vez que alguna habitación del hotel abre un grifo, usa el baño, etc. Se oye a cualquier hora del día o de la noche y no te deja dormir. 3. No lo dicen, pero las ventanas dan a un patio interior de 1m2 donde están los compresores de los aires acondicionados. La insonorización no existe, por lo que si encientes tu aire acondicionado (u otra habitación cercana) tampoco duermes. 4. No me ofrecieron ningún cambio de habitación ni nada parecido. Según ellos cada día estaba todo solucionado, pero nunca se solucionó nada.

Instalaciones antiguas, la habitación estaba sucia. Los cogines y sabanas tenian bolas del uso. Loa grifos no funcionan bien y sale el agua de la ducha. El personal de la recepción no es amable y el desayuno malo.

Overall it was good, the staff was super friendly and helpful, it was clean and close to everything but the mattresses were in terrible shape.

I felt the staff was not concerned at all about my stay. There was only one staff member, the waiter for the restaurant, who would ever greet me before I greeted him otherwise staff ignored me unless I said hola or Buenos Dias. It’s true, I should’ve been willing to try to speak more Spanish, obviously. But if they’re in the tourist business and they ignore tourist needs, I don’t think that speaks very well of them

Hotel de época ricamente decorado. Se ve bonito. Las habitaciones tienen un tamaño adecuado y tienen cafetera. La cama es algo dura para dormir. Hay agua filtrada disponible. El desayuno incluído es bastante malo, unos huevos secos, aburridos, sin sabor. No hay opciones ni siquiera entre los distintos huevos. Una sin razón.

Great service and location, clean, the parking is off-site, but it has good service.

Rooms were clean and quiet but the common spaces were limited and not that nice. The library was closed for renovations while we were there.
