The location was great, walking distance to everything I needed. The bed was comfortable

I wasn’t expecting not having a host the entire time I was there. It didn’t impact my stay but it made check in confusing

No staff on premises. Only contact was by phone. What was available for breakfast was very limited, not organised and very poor. So didn't bother with it.

Room was clean and bed was comfy. Location for town centre was good but no parking at location so was expensive to park in town car park for a day House was quiet at nights

I had to phone number on front door on arrival to ask about my room.i then went back to car to get my case and coming back into the property a guy put his phone in front of me to show a question asking if I was staying 4 nights. I answered yes. He never actually spoke. That was the one and only time I saw any staff. There was a dining room with a small fridge and no food. No one explained about breakfast times etc so I used facilities in my room. I never saw any staff any time I was in or going out if the property - even at end of my stay.

Location Breakfast room with fridge and a few dishes and cuttlery. One choice breakfast cereal, bread, jam, milk and juices. Kettle in room only We were able to bring our take out and eat in this room. If you are just wanting a comfortable bed and shower I can't complain.

No staff We rang the bell and no answer Door was unlocked so entered and waited for someone to show us to our room. No one came so went upstairs and chose a room, doors were open and key in door. If this is the process then it should be communicated prior to arrival. Towels and linens clean but tired Breakfast room had no microwave or kettle

Comfy Bed, reasonably quiet room, though there was a pervasive bass beat continuous until past 1 am. Nice decor with the butterflies and balloons.

Check in was confusing. No one to greet us when we arrived, had to call a number. Person couldn't help us, did not know which room was ours, had to consult "her staff" and call us back, so a bit of a wait. Place smells of cigarette smoke. Trash in the front yard was a bit disconcerting.

Breakfast was poor, milk , fruit juice in fridge loaf of bread beside fridge with jam portions , no butter or margarine and no toaster , no tea or coffee facilities in dining room either. Tea , coffee was available in room though.

We needed to change accommodation immediately on arrival in Oban and we found Lagganbeg Guest House quickly. The manager, Tracy was amazing! She was friendly and professional and made a room available immediately for us. We love the decor and welcoming feeling. Check-in was effortless and we got settled with no fuss. Tracy was on call for any questions we had. I can highly recommend this place!!

Moquette veramente sporca, capelli sulle lenzuola e sul cuscino, asciugamani sporchi e deteriorati. Il bagno non in camera (n.5) ma sul corridoio con le altre camere, la porta non si chiude dall'esterno rimane sempre aperta. Asse del water rotto. Porta principale della guest Houston che rimane aperta. Mi dispiace, avevo letto le recensioni e mi sono fidato....errore.

Sehr freundlicher Gastgeber, der den Check-In und die Parkplatz-Situation vorher einwandfrei erklärt hat. Tolles, modernes und blitzsauberes Zimmer, perfekt ausgestattet.

No management apparently on site. No welcome, no cooked breakfast provided - see photo for breakfast offer. I emailed owner with my concerns to give them a chance to address them, but no response. I have stayed here before, and it was lovely, welcoming and with a delicious cooked breakfast. Not sure what happened.

Simple but clean and tidy room. Quiet location (our room was at the rear of the building) Offered clean towels each morning, didn't need them.

Check in was slightly odd, no English speaker around, but it worked. No free parking close by but overnight parking outside at no cost

La localización es perfecta, junto al puerto. La habitación tiene todo lo que puedas necesitar, incluso secador y pequeños botecitos de gel y champú. También hay un hervidor con café y té a tu disposición. A la persona encargada de recibirnos no las vimos en ningún momento, la comunicación fue telefónica.

El alojamiento no tiene aparcamiento, con lo que hay que buscar algun aparcamiento público( se paga desde las 9 de la mañana a las 18.00). Pero esta información la conocíamos de antemano, por lo que no es una queja.

Location is spot on. Paid on-street parking and 2 public parking nearby. Neat. Friendly staffs. Very comfy bed.

Hosts super helpful and accommodating. Have stayed twice now and never fails to impress. Will be be back soon.

Die Unterkunft war verlassen! Niemand war dort. Niemand erreichbar, weder per Telefon , noch per Email. Wir warteten 1 Stunde. Die Türe stand offen….. da war noch ein anderes Paar, das wartete… wir mussten etwas anderes Suchen! Sehr ärgerlich!

Reasonably good location

It doesn’t appear to be a normal b and b - the owners appear to live away and only answer a mobile phone. The facilities are poor - the bed uncomfortable and the shower useless. Front door always unlocked. No one is present on site.

No hoste at the property just a phone contact. Security nil. Front door left unlocked. Bedding poorly presented washed but crumpled, mattress cover dirty and stained.

The exit.

It was in very poor shape. There was no meet and greet. Communication was by text. The cost was inflated for what was offered.. The TV did not work and was not fixed despite a promise to do so. The bathroom was appalling. The room was not serviced after night one. We are contemplating making a formal complaint to the Oban Tourist Authority.

Carrying suitcases up steep stairs. No breakfast. I think BnBs should provide breakfast as it’s in the name! It’s quite easy to just provide some cereal or instant porridge and bread for toast. No info in room about nearby attractions.

The room was perfect, with everything we needed for our short stay. Everything was clean and tidy.

Try as we might we could not operate the TV. Not that we needed to watch it much as we were out and about, but it may be an idea to leave instructions for the technically challenged :)

We arrived without any member of staff being at the Hotel; we had not received any specific check in instructions and had to call the number given. We were told the keys for our room would be in the lock of it. It turned out to be the wrong room; after half an hour and a second call a member of staff appeard and brought us to another room. He didn’t speak a single word English and had to record me speaking to translate it with an app and to respond in writing via the same. The room was dirty, spots on the carpet everywhere and the amenities in the bathroom were old and dirty.

We’ve booked a double room but got a twin room. Floor and shower weren’t very clean. Didn’t get any advice upfront about how to receive the keys, had to call someone by phone. No personal contact to any staff member. No breakfast.

Good location in Oban.

Mostly clean, certainly everything important (bed, shower, toilet) but in need of a proper deep clean. Fine for a night's layover, I wouldn't have wanted to stay any longer.

Filthy and disgusting. We couldn’t stay our second night. The place has new owners who don’t speak English. The door to our room wouldn’t lock, very unsafe. I want my payment refunded please , we are thankful that we haven’t got bed bugs. I will be reporting this property to the UK Health Department, I will not stop fighting until I get a full refund and I manage to have this hell hole closed. Nobody else should go through what we have.

The location was useful. The quirky decoration was fun.

There were no staff at the property, just a note to phone and a 40 min delay before they could tell us the room number for one of the two rooms we had booked. The shower room could do with attention especially the creaky door.

Nobody checked us in. We had to ring a phone number to get in and a man turned up and just took our suitcase and put in our room. No communication whatsoever. We didn't see anyone else for the rest of our stay ( which we cut short). We needed information and had to ring the phone number on the door just to speak to someone. She wasn't in the property and said the member of staff was probably 'hiding in his room'. We went searching for him and the whole house was empty. We decided to leave early.

We stayed for one night. The guest house is very cosy and clean. Our room could use an update and the bathroom needs some refurbishing. Overall, we had a nice stay, we were within walking distance of bats, restaurants and the harbour.

The breakfast was terrible. Despite being given notice that we were vegetarian, no provision was made. Other residents were given the full Scottish breakfast - we were given beans, tomato and mushrooms for breakfast which was the full Scottish breakfast minus sausage, bacon and egg. No substitutes were supplied.

The location was excellent, easy to get to shops, ferry and train, beautiful waterfront.

I’m rather fussy about food and the breakfast wasn’t for me, but Chris happily produced toast and marmalade and a banana

Front door lock did not work properly ,the key kept turning in the lock, struggled to get in at night, next morning had to leave out the back, had to pass through the kitchen and laundry, noises from pipes when other guests used the toilet,

What a little gem , I loved the room , it was warm and cosy, the bed was very comfortable, the host Chris couldn't do enough us , we had a slight hick up with the front door,we couldn't get it to open , although he was running a restaurant that evening, he ran across to help us and in return he offered us with a free breakfast,

Owner was away. Floors and most surfaces dirty - room needed a deep clean. TV didn't work. No breakfast provided even though this was included in the booking.com description

Location was great, nice decor, quite quiet at night which is great.

Room was in need of a clean. Bed was clean enough however the toilet, shower and carpets were dirty. A towel was on the shower door that had been used previously. Mirrors and light switches were grubby.

The Lagganbeg Guest house was very cozy and cheerfully decorated. I loved the window seat in the twin bed room and thank you for providing the small fan. Although we didn't eat breakfast (due to ferry schedule), the dining room looked warm and inviting and our host offered to cook breakfast for us.

Bathroom shower might need a little update and deep cleaning.

Location was perfect walking around the picturesque town. Parking was close by. Luggage racks in rooms. Enduite bathrooms. Interesting decor Nice host met us and cooked breakfast.

Rooms are on small side. No lift to upper floors.
