Riad Tizwa Fes

Absolutely perfect for our three nights in Fes. Merieme was warm, responsive and helpful. Our room was clean, spacious and had lovely touches to make our stay more comfortable. The riad itself is beautiful and the rooftop was perfect to get some quiet time away from the buzz of the medina. The location is great, walking distance to everything we wanted to see while being easy to find and access with luggage. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would return.

The friendly staff welcomed me with Moroccan tea and were always happy to answer any questions I had throughout my stay.

We loved our stay at Riad Tizwa. The property is clean, well maintained, and beautifully cared for. The staff is incredibly friendly, the rooms are comfortable, and the breakfast is excellent. There were a few minor issues that were not deal-breakers but are worth knowing before booking. The sink design makes it easy for water to spill onto the countertop. In addition, the air conditioning unit is quite old and not very effective. Part of the problem may be that the room’s windows do not fully seal, allowing outside air to enter and reducing the AC’s efficiency. Moreover one glass was completely missing on the windows over the door of our room. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would happily recommend Riad Tizwa to others.

De Riad is prachtig, alleen daarom zou je er al willen verblijven. Daarnaast super vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Heerlijk ontbijt.

De hoogte van de badkamer: deze is voor ons NL erg laag en mijn man heeft regelmatig zijn hoofd gestoten en hij kon niet recht onder de douche staan.

I had their breakfast, which was filling and tasty. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Great location - in the medina but close to the edge so easy to access.

Bathrooms are small but it's fine. Nothing to complain about.

Il ragazzo che ci ha accolti all arrivo ci ha dato una mappa e ci ha spiegato attentamente cosa fare dove andare come muoverci. E poi Merieme, un angelo! La responsabile del riad! Non ho parole per come ci è comportata con noi, ci ha dato consigli, ci ha dato informazioni, si è occupata di noi anche dopo il soggiorno accertandosi che tutto procedesse bene. Tornerei nello stesso riad soprattutto per lo staff ❤️

Wir hatten ein Zimmer im Erdgeschoss, dass leider sehr dunkel war und wenig Licht hatte und das Bad roch etwas unangenehm

Posizione ottimale, appena dentro alla medina a pochi passi dalla porta blu. È facilmente raggiungibile anche dai taxi. I cari punti di incontro per le escursioni sono a 50 metri A qualsiasi orario si può fare la colazione, rispetto ad altri Riad che inizia alle 8 passate. Per le escursioni che partono presto va benissimo

The communication with Merieme was exceptional. Any questions or concerns we had were answered promptly and she was welcoming and comforting. The property was safe and quiet. The breakfast was great.

The shower was small and the room a little tight with two beds.

Located on the edge of the Mdina so well placed for parking as there is a covered car park five minutes away and a further open air one just beyond. Lovely old riad with central courtyard an oasis of calm. Excellent breakfast. Our hostess organised a guide for a two hour tour of the Mdina, which was well worth it - giving us a vague feel for the layout amid the myriad of alleyways and up and down streets when we set off ourselves the next day. Very good restaurant nearby, the Maison Bleu.

The stairwell is narrow and steep, making it unsuitable for the elderly. Never let them help you find a tour guide or call a taxi.

My stay at Riad Tizwa was one of the best experiences of my life !!! Merieme and all of her staff went so far above and beyond to help me with so many things, I will never forget them. The Riad is perfectly located near the Medina but is still quiet and restful. It is absolutely beautiful and I loved my room very much. Breakfast was AMAZING! I will definitely be back (Inshallah).

We loved the family like feel of the riad. The room was good, the rooftop was nice and the location is great. The staff is very supportive and the manager can make anything happen for you, if you ask her!

Miriem was an excellent manager, as was all the staff. The location was ideal, only a five minute walk from the blue gate. The breakfast was exceptional. The staff was very accommodating and our room was very comfortable. I would highly recommend.

Riad Tizwa was an easy walk into the medina. The staff could not have been more helpful, knowledgeable or helpful. They were brilliant. They organised tours, taxis and gave good advice. Breakfast healthy, tasty and Moroccan. The accommodations was comfortable, beautiful and interesting. For those that want hotel facilities, stay in a hotel but for those that want to experience staying and experience Morocco, stay in a riad and Riad Tizwa would be a good choice

We liked everything about our stay. Great location within minutes of the blue gate and yet quiet and peaceful. The team were so friendly and helpful and attentive. The room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was great. We liked absolutely everything!

Riad Tizwa Fez was a peaceful and beautiful home during our stay in Fez. The location is perfect, taxi drop us almost in front of main door. The street is quiet but safe, there are a few other riads on that street. All the staff is very helpful and nice. They gave us useful information about traveling, visiting ham, and shopping. I would definitely choose Riad Tizwa Fez again!

Il Riad di Merieme è una perla. Pulito, bellissimo, sofisticato e tradizionale! Tutto lo staff è stato gentile e disponibile nel rendere questo soggiorno indimenticabile! Letto comodo e chicca: una vasca da bagno degna di un film di Wes Anderson. Colazione ottima e rifornita! Ci hanno anche spesso offerto dei the al nostro rientro dalle passeggiate ! Notre séjour s'est parfaitement déroulé. Le Riad est très bien situé. En effet, le quartier Batha permet d'être à la frontière des ruelles de la Médina, nous offrant calme et proximité à la fois. Le personnel est au petit soin et très agréable. Nous remercions notamment Merieme qui était très présente pour que notre séjour se déroule au mieux. La chambre était magnifiquement bien décorée et très propre, tout au long de la semaine.

The location, breakfast, room and the hotel itself was great, everyone working there were really kind and helpful during our stay, thanks to all of them we felt at home. Miriam helped us organize our stay and arranged the guides and the transportations. We visited Fez on our first day with Rıdwan he was a great guide and we had a daytrip to Chefchaouen on our second day I would recommend both.

Location: is great, close to the key attractions, quite Riad in a side street. No noise at all. Staff: Mariam is really awesome. all the staff are very nice. Mariam really added to the Riad, she gave me tips on where to buy spices and some other things. Breakfast : Omelette, bread, jam and butter. This is the typical breakfast around Morocco.

Thinking back, the room might need some extra lights.

This is a gem of a spot in Fes! The location is ideal, with most sights within walking distance. The staff is super friendly and attentive at all hours. The interior is lovely, with traditional decor and modern touches. The rooftop terrace has spectacular views of the city (and sunrise), and you can enjoy your breakfast up there.

A cosy and clean Riad conveniently located on the fringe of the Medina. The staff were friendly and helpful and service were excellent throughout our stay. The room was spacious and a portable heater (in addition to the zircon) was particularly useful as the weather in Jan was very cold - we always look forward to coming back to the Riad after a long day out. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a good stay in Fez.

The basin tap in the toilet does not come with hot water. However, this probably only matters when the weather is very cold.

The quiet location nearby the blue gate, and I must give a special complement to the attention to detail in the amenities! Top quality natural cotton linens, thoughtful interior styling. Merieme is the best and she and her team were excellent for hospitality and so knowledgable about local craft shops and restaurants

Room was located immediately adjacent the main sitting area for all the guests. With young children this made it noisy late into the evening. The bathroom was cramped and outdated. Note that young children (<7 years) are not allowed at this location.

I loved Riad Tizwa. It’s a stunning Riad in a wonderful location made all the more magical because of Meriem and her wonderful staff. They’re kind, knowledgeable, and truly wonderful hosts. Meriem made everything so easy. Stay here!

The room was beautifully decorated and comfortable. Breakfast was presented really well and everything tasted great. All staff were friendly and helpful. Location is perfect for being close to the sights of Fes while still being tucked away in a peaceful area away from the loud streets.

Brilliant location and service. Mariam and her team were particular attentive of my elderly mother. I am torn between wanting to keep this secret gem all to myself and share it with friends and family. I loved Fez and can’t imagine staying anywhere else when I return.

Beautiful riad close both to main streets and a road reachable by car. Staff were very friendly. Breakfast included in accommodation was great with multiple options, weather was a bit colder so there was a warm fire in a fireplace in the breakfast room.

Breakfast was served in traditional pottery whenever you were ready in the morning, no pressure. Unique and comfortable room, felt like being in a palace/museum, spent hours looking at the decorations on the ceiling. Such a warm welcome, advice and support from Merieme and staff on anything we needed, could not be more grateful!

The manager and the staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. The location of the Riad was perfect and the roof terraces a great asset to this nice Riad.

Our top floor room had only one chair for the two of us and there was no stool, table, bench or anything where we could both seat or place our suitcases.

The amazing help and guidance of Merieme during our stay made everything easy. The rooms were pretty big and breakfast very yummy and by the fire each morning. The location was also very convenient and close to the blue gate.

Great recommendations, transfers arranged, tour of Medina arranged with knowledgeable and very nice guide. Let us check out late and provided lots of mint tea. Breakfast was good and very plentiful too.

Nous avons séjourné trois nuits au Riad Tizwa. L’architecture et la décoration, fidèles au style de Fès, sont magnifiques, avec un accès direct à la médina. Le personnel s’est montré extrêmement gentil et accueillant, toujours prêt à aider pour rendre le séjour agréable, à l’image de la gérante Myrieme. Nous recommandons vivement cet établissement.

Very nice, only thing we had the smallest camera, we are couple quite tall both and having a shower with the head folded was not comfy.

Room too small for tall people, and bathroom outside of the room with no possible to close the door from the stairs, quite strange

Very convenient access, beautiful architecture, friendly staff and clean. I really liked the soap they had in the room and I requested to purchase to take memory home:)
