It was easy to find. The first time experiencing the keyless door, it works great! Barrydale has more than enough restaurants to choose from. Friendly people as well.

A spacious & scenic stay in a beautiful town- wish we stayed longer. Incredible and helpful host with quick resonses. Highly recommend.

Very good value for money. Lovely rooms with beautiful quirky decor, fireplace, mattress heaters, and well-equipped kitchen except no hot plate.

Only criticism about facilities is absence of food preparation facilities, sliding kitchen doors that don't work well, and very badly designed kitchen sink that is much too high to use.

Perfect in every sense. Rooms all big and splendidly artful decorations. Comfortable bed. Full kitchen. All amenities. Host gave us lots of tips on things to see and do. Lovely breakfast at Diesel and Cream on the premises at very reasonable prices

The property was so beautifully furnished. Everything we needed, central to where we wanted to be. Just a lovely place to stay.

Stunning decor. Quality products. Very cozy with indoor fireplace (which was already started when we got there) A lot of subtle extra touches that made us feel very at home (coffee pods, milk & water in fridge, juice, fruits)

Dean was really kind and gave us lots of Information about Barrydale and surrounds. Lovely stylish accommodation very tastefully decorated and with everything we needed. Good food to! We enjoyed Barrydale, it's a friendly place with helpful and kind people

Einziger Kritikpunkt: Die Fensterläden im Schlafzimmer lassen sich nicht richtig schließen. Einige Fenster lassen sich zu einfach öffnen.

Well equipped kitchen and fantastic BBQ facilities outside. Rooms are full of Character. Ten metres from Diesel and Cream Cafe, which serves great food in a funky environment totally in keeping with the Route 62 Genre

Amazing space that has been beautiful curated. Great location to start your exploring along the main road. Great for an overnight stop or to see the town for a couple of nights like we did.

Wat een heerlijke plek. Prachtig ingericht met veel aandacht voor details. Je hebt veel ruimte voor jezelf, een zithoek, voorkamer, keuken, slaapkamer, grt gaat maar door. En je stapt de deur uit en jan allerlei lekker eten en drinken bestellen. Top plek. Wat bijzonder.

The room was well appointed and very comfortable. The accommodation offered excellent value for money, and the 1 meal that we had in the restaurant was very good.

Obviously it has to do with the season, but when we were there the restaurant closed at 17:00, not a hardship as there were a number of restaurants within walking distance

The staff went out of their way to accommodate us. The place had everything that you could possibly need for a quick getaway or just passing through.

We loved the quirkiness of the unit! It was so spacious and very comfortable -one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in! Everything is top quality … from the linen to the towels, to the furnishings … We had absolutely everything we needed. And it was SPOTLESSLY clean! Having the restaurant next door is lovely too … we had a delicious breakfast in the morning. I wish we’d spent a few more nights there … we’ll definitely be back!

Place looks really nice and cozy. Too big for 2 people for 1 night maybe but we enjoyed it. Easy contact and check in instructions via whatsapp. Right on the Route 62 so perfect stopover during roadtrip.

Loved staying in this stylish, funky and cozy Suite .. and would have loved to stay longer. Every corner has a special touch and it is obvious how much Love has been put into designing and decorating it. I will be back soon soon.

The Karoo Moon Motel is a combo of quirky, eclectic and upmarket with its exotic blend of memorabilia and high end finishes. The host was extremely helpful with check in and providing suggestions on where to eat. The unit is spacious, luxurious and extremely comfortable. An added bonus with Diesel&Cream on the doorstep serving great food & milkshakes. Loved our stay!

Directly next to iconic Diesel & Creme you find the hidden gem Karoo Moon hotel. It‘s artsy, it‘s edgy, it‘s spacious the perfect stop for a night or two in Barrydale. In the suite we had two living rooms, a very spacious and cozy king size bed, a second bed, four very big comfy chairs and a small kitchenett. The decoration is just outstanding.

It is directly next to Diesel & Creme and very stylish. Expect people to walk by on your porch. All call after 430pm.

Very friendly host and location was great!

the accommodation, facilities, equipment , bedding, bathroom , lounge was good, comfortable, clean, in good condition on-site parking, location and ease of access to local restaurants, pubs, etc; once parked we could walk everywhere comfortably & safely the rusks were yummy with the coffee in the morning, nice touch! good, simple security & access to the room host was proactive and perfectly attentive to our needs, his balance & discretion ensured we were comfortable and had access to all we needed

Rustic yet warm and comfortable

The bed in our room was really fantastic - huge bed with warm down duvet and comfortable pillows, and an electric blanket that was on when we got to the venue. As it was a freezing night, this was really appreciated! The unconventional decor meant that this was certainly no bland hotel room. Lovely apple juice in the fridge and dried figs were a great touch possibly showcasing food from the Klein Karoo.

The lights in the small lounge were very dull, so it felt a little gloomy in there (it was a miserable day!).

Comfortable and warm bed. Clean linen. Lovely shower, easy to find the ideal temperature and it stayed there. I could switch the WIFI off and not fry my brain during the night - can't always do that at other facilities

Smoky smell on arrival. I didn't use the fireplace but people should find out exactly how to start the fire to prevent smoke into the room. It could work perfectly

It had all the home comforts with enough wood to warm the lovely decorated in old style cottage.

The Karoo Moon must be one of the best curated holiday venues we know and when traveling we make certain to plan our trips to include a stay at this incredible location!

Dean is really friendly and accomodating! He upgraded me from the Moon Motel to Moon House, which was awesome. Great fireplace and the most comfortable bed I ever slept in.

Easy check in and check out. Close to restaurants etc. Convenient parking. Very spacious. Kitchenette and lounge areas so plenty of space.

Comfortable and perfect for our small family. The design and attention to detail makes it a really unique and fun place to stay!! The owner was easily contactable for self check-in and very helpful with dinner suggestions. Then having a killer breakfast and amazing milkshakes right next door at Diesel and Creme - who could ask for more!

Staying at the motel is an experience that everyone visiting Barrydale should enjoy, at least once - I would suggest more than just once. Every decor item was thoughtfully curated and made the visit even more special. I had a wonderful short stay and hope to be back!
