The staff couldn't be nicer! They were flexible on a late checkout and are extremely responsive to inquiries. The room was clean and air conditioning worked well.

The only compliant I have is that the street noise can be a bit loud.

Destaca la amabilidad de todo el personal que estaba en todo momento dispuesto a ayudarnos. Tienen como detalle de bienvenida un licor de cereza y los famosos pastelitos de nata. La reforma del hotel está hecha con mucho mimo y la habitación que nos asignaron era muy cómoda y espaciosa. Del servicio de restauración destacar el desayuno y aunque la carta del restaurante es pequeña, todo está delicioso.

Un palazzo storico eccellentemente rinnovato in chiave moderna. Lo staff estremamente professionale, gentile e disponibile. Il fatto che fossimo vegane non ha rappresentato un problema e ci sono state fornite diverse opzioni deliziose. Un albergo imperdibile per chi arriva a Lisbona.

However, the district of this hotel has some questions. In the evening u can see many not tourists around this hotel, it makes u feel not really save. But it’s only one moment that I didn’t like

Central location, walkable to anywhere. Free welcome drink at the bar and egg tarts in your room. Well decorated and the room is spacious and very comfortable. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Breakfast is amazing and to die for. It’s a combination of made to order and great buffet with everything you can imagine and of very high quality. Free coffee and detox water.

Location is excellent just 10 min walk from the action activities. Everythings near to you supermarkets, resturnts all types of resturnats are there!!! The staff are excellent specialy the Andre, André & Mafalda and Catarina, and from the resturnt Juwana and Sarah all of them were very helpfull. I highly recommend to book in this hotel and try to ask for the bigger rooms. I booked the cosy rooms but i did not know that there are bigger rooms.

My stay at Hotel 1908 Lisboa exceeded all my expectations. The room was beautiful and comfortable, the hotel's contemporary design was stunning, everything was impeccably clean, and the breakfast was excellent. However, what truly makes this hotel exceptional is its staff—one big KUDOS to all of them! They were always ready to help with any request and made us feel genuinely welcome. I would definitely recommend this hotel to all my friends who plan to visit Lisbon.

The staff is amazing! Andre helped us so much with recommendations on what to do and booking a tour and car. The hotel is also beautiful and very clean, the bed is so comfortable, loved the design. Breakfast was wonderful as well. No complaints 10/10

This was absolutely the greatest experience I've had at a hotel. The room was immaculate and comfortable Housekeeping set it up exactly as we needed it. The neighborhood is lived in by lots of locals, so you won't find many tourist traps (which was our plan). But if you're looking to see the more popular sites, those are still a quick train ride away. And 1908 has easy Metro access. But really what stood out was the service. I travelled here with my family and the staff could not have done more to make us feel more welcome. They treated my child as one of their own. The staff at breakfast played with him and walked him around so my wife and I could have a moment to enjoy ourselves. The front desk offered to "valet" our stroller so we could get to and from the room easily. And not one time did they make us feel like we were customers. We felt more like we were being cared for by family.

This is one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in. From arrival to check out, we had a wonderful experience. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, surprising us with little treats throughout our stay. The room was exceptionally clean and finished to a high standard. The bed was super comfy, the towels were big and soft, and the toiletries included were all you could need and more. The room had a lovely coffee machine and there was a decent range of channels on the TV. Breakfast was outstanding! A great selection of healthy and indulgent items. If we visit Lisbon again, we will definitely stay here!

We spent 4 lovely nights at the 1908 Lisboa Hotel and loved everything about it! The historic 100-year-old Art Nouveau building has been beautifully updated, and we really enjoyed the impressive contemporary artwork displayed throughout the common areas. Our room was tastefully decorated with a retro dial phone, great bedside lighting, and a gorgeous wooden panel bed. A huge plus was the clever air conditioning system that cools the room from the ceiling through hidden shades, so you don't have air blowing directly on you. We were welcomed with delicious Portuguese tarts and cherry liqueur. Breakfast was incredible—the made-to-order menu was super yummy, and the buffet selection of pastries, breads, and cold cuts was perfect. The entire team (front desk, room service, and restaurant) was so friendly and attentive.

Great hotel for a short city break whilst on our way to The Azores! Lovely staff, great room, excellent breakfast! It’s a short walk away from the centre, however the 28 and 12 trams pass outside so it’s easy to get around, or just walk!

Beautiful hotel, staff was excellent. Breakfast was excellent. Beds were very comfortable.

Surrounding streets have become trashy and the area outside the door is a neighborhood hangout. Never felt unsafe but not a pleasant way to walk into your hotel.

What a wonderful place to stay. Very accommodating as our flight was delayed. We arrive to the hotel at 3am. Lovely room and enjoyed the patio for breakfast and lunch. Spoke English as our Portuguese is sub par. Loved it. Would definitely recommend.

Food was great, drinks were great, excellent customer service. Love the fact that they bring your luggage to you room, have whatsup concerige, and provide a welcome drink.

I wish I knew the a la carte was included - found this out late in my stay.

We came to Lisbon for our honeymoon and couldn't have asked for a better experience. The team at the front desk was so kind and upgraded our room so we had a beautiful view of the square nextdoor. Our bathroom was huge with natural lighting and modern amenities. We loved infame, the restaurant below, so much we ate there almost every night for dinner. We couldn't of asked for a better stay and were so sad to leave.

Przemiła obsługa, zestaw powitalny, bardzo dobre śniadania - duży wybór. Świetna lokalizacja i dodatkowo skwerek z restauracjami przy hotelu więc nawet w przypadku zmęczenia można było po prostu wyjść przed hotel i poczuć od razu klimat Lisbony.

We couldn’t agree more with all the positive reviews of this hotel. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel genuinely welcome by André, Mafalda and the rest of the team, whose warmth, friendliness and local knowledge helped make our stay truly memorable. The location is excellent, within easy walking distance of the city centre and many of Lisbon’s main attractions. It was lovely to return to our room and find traditional cherry liqueur and the famous Pastels de Nata waiting for us. I have to say they were the best we had during our visit and the gesture made us feel immediately at home. We were fortunate to visit during the June festivities, which added a wonderful atmosphere to our trip. The celebrations for Santo António Festival and the start of the World Cup, which made the city feel especially vibrant. The breakfast was outstanding, with a wide variety of options and attentive service throughout. The hotel itself is beautiful, full of character and the food and drinks are both excellent quality and reasonably priced. The staff were always happy to offer recommendations and assistance and nothing ever seemed too much trouble. André helped us sort out our hire car as we headed down to the Algarve after our stay and he even provided a recommended driving route, along with restaurants and bars to visit during our stay there. What really sets 1908 Lisboa apart is its people. The team made us feel less like guests and more like part of the family. We had a wonderful time and would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Lisbon. Thank you to André and the entire team for making our visit so special. We look forward to returning.

Wonderful! This place was an absolute delight. I could talk about the good rooms, the quirky architecture, the cleanliness, the neat location by a tram line or easy walking to historic squares nearby or the excellent restaurant - the breakfast was superb. But none of that made our stay so nice as the staff. They were fantastic! The front desk and restaurant especially were so wonderful to interact with during the day. There are usually one or two really nice people on staff when we stay in a hotel. In this place EVERYONE was exceptional!!! Thank you for a beautiful holiday!

- L'accueil en terrasse en soirée qui est moins conviviale. La terasse n'est pas prisée. Dommage, car Le personnel fait ce qu'il peut avec la situation. - Vibrations des trams dans la chambre et bruit des fêtards sur la place derrière l'hôtel.

Not the absolute best area ( though a great bar over road at Me Gusta). But don’t let that put you off its only a 15 min walk down to the main downtown bar / restaurant area. Also excellent spot to grab a taxi from.

Such a cool hotel, with a great restaurant. Do not skip the breakfast in the morning. Most especially, the staff are alert, helpful, and friendly. Renovated historic building with a nice vibe.

We were grateful for the room upgrade, had a beautiful view of the castelo out of our bedroom window. Friendly helpful staff and excellent amenities and breakfast. Really appreciated the mini fridge, kettle and tea/coffee in the room.

Cool funky room. Very clean and comfortable. The area is in transition but we felt safe and had good access to transportation. The staff were spectacularly pleasant and helpful.

First of: this is a really interesting building, with quirky history, and really nicely converted into a hotel. The location is ok, though - you are 10-20mins or so away from the interesting parts of the the city but the direct neighborhood is a bit... less interesting, not to say scary. Staff was generally *extremely* positive and helpful but the room service was outright rude. They made us feel like unwelcome guests in our room because we dared to be there when they decided it was time to look after our room (at 3pm in the afternoon, btw). That's a bit of a shame because everybody else (checkin, breakfast, checkout..) was just lovely. Location and room service - otherwise this is a clear 5*.

Such a beautiful hotel and clever renovation of an old historic building. Staff were all very friendly and genuinely interested in chatting to know more about what we might want and what we might be interested in - in practically any language! Staff at the restaurant were great, too. And the food at breakfast and dinner was delicious.

The location is a little bit far from the most interesting areas of Lisbon. It is in a part of town that is a little down-at-heel. Not dangerous in any way, but just a little shabby. It seems to be in the process of restoring older buildings so is almost certainly improving. This was NOT a major issue, though. It is easy to get around by cab, by Uber, by tram or other public transport. Just worth keeping in mind if you want to be in the heart of what there is to see and do in Lisbon.

Fantastic hotel! Friendly and very helpful front staff. Any requests were done right away. Close enough to the main tourist area of Lisbon and far enough to have a restful sleep. Very well done modern renovations while keeping the historic look to this landmark hotel. Would absolutely stay again.

I'm so thrilled we found 1908 Lisboa because we will only be staying there for all future visits to Lisbon. We recently went with friends to celebrate my husband's bday and the hotel is beautiful, clean, comfortable with a lot of bright airy spaces. Huge perk: across the street from Ramiro's Restaurant & Casa Independente Bar. Upon arrival you're greeted with warm staff and welcome drinks. From the start of our visit until we left, the hotel team were very hospitable and went above and beyond to share local recommendations and ideas for our stay - even going as far as to call and help make reservations, and call our next hotel in Cascais to ensure our room was ready for us upon arrival at our next destination! They were so thoughtful. Huge shoutout to André who is now my favorite person in Portugal. Every recommendation he gave us was fun and delicious and we appreciated all his time and effort. Whatever you're paying him, give that man a raise! The whole 1908 Lisboa team was incredibly nice. Really cannot wait to go back again and will recommend this hotel to all our friends & family.

The staff were the most amazing and wonderful part. They could not do enough for you and always with a smile. Everything was so clean and comfortable. The position was excellent, walk everywhere. The food was superb. They also left a wonderful surprise in our room. I can’t praise this hotel and staff enough. Even another gentleman I was speaking there said he has tried 20 hotels in the area and this one was the best. Thank you 1908 Lisboa. Excellent stay.

I want to preface this by saying my family values comfort and service to a pretty high degree. With the inherent wear and tear that comes with travel it's crucial for us to have a place to rest our weary bones after a long day exploring. Whatever we could have hoped for to cater to our precious sensibilities was not only matched but vastly exceeded by the staff at 1908 Lisboa, who treated their establishment less like a business and more like a home to host you in. Every possible angle or opportunity where a pleasant thought or a special treat could be included, you would find one. There were literally no moments or instances that I could complain about if I'd tried. On top of all of this, immediately outside of the establishment is a beautiful plaza wherein one can get lost in small Super Bocks, espresso and sundry other wonderful little things. Please, heed my gushing, and give this establishment your business if even for a couple days of your trip. Truly, almost unrelentingly special.

This was my 3rd stay at the 1908 Lisboa Hotel and it never disappoints. I love the location which is about a 15 minute walk to some of the major tourist sites like Restauradores Square. The room is spacious and I love the bathroom. The waterfall shower is delightful. The hotel provides many bathroom amenities including robes and slippers. The hotel staff are always so accommodating and will set up a WhatsApp to provide concierge services for guests. Infame is a delicious restaurant and breakfast is very filling with multiple cold and hot options. You can order hot options. You also receive a coupon for 2 drinks in the Infame Bar which also is fun perk. I had to leave the hotel at 2:30am for my 6am flight. The night before I left the staff arranged a taxi for me and had a box breakfast prepared so that I would not be hungry. Their care was so appreciated. I highly recommend this hotel and can’t wait to stay there again when I return to Lisbon.

loooooved the breakfast!! I tried a lot of hotels, and this one has by far one of the best breakfast buffets! Rich variety of fresh fruits / homemade yogurt, homemade granola, lots of differents nuts&seeds, pasteries, bread, great filter coffee, and you can choose on the menu differenzs types of eggs (scrambles, omelette, avocado toast with eggs, and all within the price) reall nice !!

District was not the best one.

I loved the location, the staff were phenomenal and couldn’t do enough. That was from reception to bar to breakfast. Really impressed by everyone. It was a joy to stay there. Breakfast spread was lovely and the cappuccino is better than most coffee houses in the city. Room was excellent, spacious and every amenity present. Location was ideal for food and we would recommend the steep walk up the back to the “Miradouro da Senhora do Monte”, this lets you have an excellent walk down to all other viewpoints.

I did not realize when I booked that outside would have a bombed out look with graffiti everywhere and large groups of men hanging around the square in front in the evening. Was very unattractive to look at.

Everything about the hotel was great! The room was comfortable, the staff was helpful, the included breakfast was delicious.

There’s something special about this hotel and I know what it is. Our room was spotlessly clean and very well appointed with a huge shower and lots of lovely touches in terms of amenities. Real thought has been applied to making guests comfortable and it has paid off - we loved everything about it. But that’s not what is so special about 1908 Lisboa Hotel. What’s special is the people who run it. Every single member of staff we met immediately went out of their way to be helpful. Mafalda, in particular, was a wonder and having listened carefully to what we were looking for, recommended two restaurants to us. We visited both and they were spot on - I would never have found them by myself. Another of Mafalda’s colleagues recommended a place for brunch after my wife had run the Lisbon Half Marathon and again, it was exactly what we were looking for. All of the help was provided in the most charming way, for which we were and remain most grateful. Oh, and typically, as soon as the reception team learned that my wife was competing, they immediately offered a very late checkout to enable her to have a shower and change of clothes before heading to the airport for our journey home. We so enjoyed our stay and I’m sure we’ll be returning to this super hotel with its fabulous staff. The sooner the better!
