Das Personal war durchwegs sehr freundlich, wenn auch etwas weniger proaktiv, speziell im Bereich der Kulinarik. Die Sauberkeit der Zimmer war in jeden Fall positiv aufgefallen, auch die Speisen & Getränke waren durchwegs einwandfrei und sehr ansprechend.

Die Reaktion des Managements bei der Rezeption beim Einchecken auf mein Nachfragen, warum eine zusätzliche Nacht (2+1) im exakt selben Zimmer plötzlich um mehr als 60% teurer wurde als die einzelnen Nächte davor. Wir hatten schon vor einem Zwischenstopp in Pokhara fünf Nächte im selben Hotel Mulberry verbracht und uns spontan für das selbe wieder entschieden. Eine wetterbedingte Sperre des Flughafens in Pokhara hatte es notwendig gemacht, dass wir unseren erneuten Aufenthalt im Mulberry dahingehend anpassen musste. Da wir in diesem Hotel über beide Aufenthalte reichlich konsumiert hatten, war ich sehr enttäuscht, wie man hier letztendlich bei der Endabrechnung den besagten (willkürlichen) Mehrpreis für die zusätzliche Nacht einfach abgerechnet hat. Wir werden mit Sicherheit wieder nach Kathmandu kommen, jedoch werden wir auf keinen Fall in dieses Hotel zurückkehren!

I felt like a king staying at the Hotel Mulberry. Everything went perfectly! Every day I got two liters of bottled water and they even took me to the airport for free.

All the staff were great they looked after us very well. Breakfast was extensive and varied. Rooms were clean and tidy. Pool has a great view of Katmandu.

Excellent location in Thamel area, next to lots of bars, pubs and restaurants, but enclosed off in a quiet alley area. Rooms were large and spacious, staff excellent. Has a nice rooftop pool and bar with excellent views of the skyscape and mountains in the distance. Provided free airport shuttle to and fro. Pretty much the best hotel experience you will get in Thamel area.

More variety in daily buffet menus could be better. Better ventilation for bathrooms.

Hotel Mulberry is as good as it gets in hotels… It is a quality operation that I have no hesitation in recommending. I would especially like to mention Ritwik from the front desk…he was exceptionally helpful and professional during my stay.

This is the best hotel one could ever imagine after a challenging trek. A true oasis of relaxation. The rooftop pool is pure magic — with a breathtaking view over the whole of Kathmandu. Swimming while looking at the city from above was an absolute delight. Breakfasts here are incredibly delicious: absolutely everything you could wish for — fresh pastries, crispy bacon, fruits, various egg dishes made to order. We stayed in an executive room, and it was amazing. Snow-white linens, everything needed for complete rest, and branded amenities. After check-in, we were greeted with a lovely welcome gift in the room — such a nice touch. A huge thank you to the manager, Ritwik. He arranged our transfer to the airport and prepared great lunch boxes so we could have breakfast right at the airport. The service here is truly top-notch. Thank you for such a warm welcome! We will gladly come back.

The room was large and clean, and had a good view.

The bathroom had problems: the sink faucet was wobbly, the shower drain partially clogged (which caused the water to overrun), etc. The breakfast was so-so, and the cook didn't follow directions (we asked that the omelet not be spicy, but it came back spicy).

Location was close to everything. Pool was cold, breakfast was average but acceptable. The people working there were awesome and very friendly. Room was comfortable and the air conditioning was in great working order.

Not a huge deal but the pool was too cold to swim in. Other than that I would say all else was great.

Excellent hotel. The staff members were extremely helpful and cordial, our room was spacious, and everything was well maintained. I would not consider staying in a different hotel in Kathmandu.

Room - upgraded - was huge, very nice. Staff and management doing their best. But the first night, barking dogs woke me out of a deep sleep. It seems the guards are instructed to chase them away, but not so easy I guess. I moved to a nearby hotel that I previously stayed at many times, that had less of a dog problem.

Location, cleanliness and facilities

It would have been hugely helpful to have a travel desk in the Reception / Foyer area. But for the price and the quality of everything else, this is a minor comment.

The hotel is situated in the heart of Thamel which is the most vibrant part of the city but in the same time is far from all the city noise Breakfast was good and the hotel has a terrace where you can serve it We haven't used the pool situated at the 8th floor but it looks very nice The hotel staff is very attentive and friendly and helped us with all our enquires (asked for a doubled bed instead of twin beds, airport transfer) We totally recommend the hotel and hope we'll return to Kathmandu and Mulberry

The hotel Mulberry is the ideal place to stay if you are going to Kathmandu. It is a very luxurious hotel with great rooms and a roof top infinity pool. The food in the hotel is exceptional and reasonably priced. The location is perfect in the heart of Thamel and a couple of minutes walk to the Garden of Dreams. However the best bit about the hotel is the high quality staff in all areas from reception to housekeeing and the bar and restaurant staff. They are super kind and helpful. A particular mention to Sujani and Smarika who went out of their way to help me at times and rank as the best hospitality staff i have encountered. I will definately come back and would not dream of staying anywhere else in Kathmandu

A/c didn't work as well as it should have. Slept with a travel fan aimed at my head to stay cool.

This hotel is one of the better hotels I have stayed at in Kathmandu. Only main issue was the roads accessing the hotel are very narrow and some taxis had a hard accessing the hotel.

Room was just perfect, spacious and very clean, breakfast was good too. Roof top bar was excellent and overall staff lovely and friendly. Excellent service all round.

The reason I booked the hotel was because of the pool. It was continually closed due to maintenance, when it was open the water was very cloudy with lots of floating white stuff in it. Think problem with filter. Such a shame as that is the main thing we wanted.

Had a fantastic stay here! My room was amazing, very spacious and spotlessly clean. All the staff I encountered were lovely and helpful. The breakfast buffet was nice but the room service food was exceptional and incredibly good value. The location of the hotel is perfect, despite it being in the busy Thamel area it was very quiet. I enjoyed my stay so much I rebooked for the end of my trip and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a pre/post trek treat.

I had booked this hotel especially for the pool and gym and these are both areas that could be improved. The pool is great and has an amazing view but it's next a bar area that serves food and drinks which does mean it's not very relaxing. There was pop / rap music being played constantly both times I used the pool even when there weren't many people around. The pool area is quite small so the sun loungers fill up quickly. The decking area around the pool needs replacing as some areas are a trip hazard. The gym is basic and the equipment quite old but it was empty both times I used it and it has an amazing view.

This is the best hotel I've ever stayed at. Warm and kind hospitality to the highest degree, clean and comfortable rooms, and an incredible rooftop view. The buffet breakfast is next-level too. Diya, the rooftop bartender, has the best hospitality I've ever seen, and I've seen plenty. Truly an asset for the business. From recommendations on where to visit and what to drink (including her own custom mocktail - delicious) great conversation and attentive service, it was like hanging out with a friend - because she is one. She even got me a cake on my last day - where does that happen? Just incredible. I'll be back. Thank you!

Excellent hotel. We stayed here 3 times over the course of a 3 week trip and each time, the front desk staff was wonderful, attentive, helpful and so well mannered. The rooms were excellent---very clean, very comfortable bed, spacious, very nice shower, etc. Breakfast was always plentiful and tasty. Dinner (only one night) was excellent with excellent service. I will say that the massage at the SPA with Rena (spelling?) was world class excellent, I wish I had signed up for two massage services with her, it was one of the best massages I have ever had.

Great location, really friendly staff! Rooms spacious and clean. Good breakfast. Roof terrace was lovely.

Wifi didn’t work in our room, addressed with staff who tried to fix it without any luck. Think the signal is not strong enough to reach some areas of the hotel. Gym wasn’t so clean, machines had sticky, sweaty handles both times I was there, water machine was not in use.

A great hotel on the outskirts of Thamel. Good breakfast and great staff. Restaurant food was descent and rooftop pool was nice but some of the pool decking could use some replacement. Towels available at the pool. The spa/massage options were well priced and good service. The laundry service I used for a few items was reasonably priced and items came back clean. The bedroom was large and bed decently comfortable. I would stay here again.

Fantastic value hotel in Central Kathmandu right near all trekking equipment shops. Rooms are very spacious and an upgrade one even has a bath - especially inviting after a long trek. Then there is small rooftop swimming pool and rooftop bar area and a small but well equipped gym. Staff are great especially Amir, general manager, Melina on reception, and Sujima at restaurant downstairs and on roof. It’s a total winner.

The hotel is located around 30min from the airport and conveniently in Thamel walking distance to many sights. Mulberry's staff were very courteous and helpful, especially Niraj. Breakfast is good and a great rooftop bar. Would recommend.

A lovely hotel located on the edge of Thamel with roof top pool and basic gym. Might be a bit tricky to find, esp with multiple entrance on both sides but worth it. A few minor things need attention like the pool deck but overall great hotel. The staff are extraordinarily nice and very kind and helpful. Even if things were lost in translation they still tried to help. I even watched the staff deal with obnoxious, demanding and rude guests at breakfast and dinner and I was amazed at how they took it in stride and still continued to help the over privileged guests. I’m afraid my response at being yelled at for waiting 2 mins to place an order after just sitting down or have patrons snap fingers at me to get my attention would have a different outcome. Very professional staff. 24 hr room service available, taxi service available, laundry service available, currency conversion into Nepalese Rupee available, wifi included, pool towels available and a spa with great services by the pool. A delicious breakfast buffet with egg station and coffee options on lobby level daily. I enjoyed my stay here and would stay again anytime.

Fantastic hotel!!! Nothing but good things to say. The staff were fantastic and so friendly, it was also the best coffee we had during our trip. The rooms were made up multiple times throughout the day, including getting it ready for the evening. Top notch experience!

"An Oasis in Kathmandu – Highly Recommended!" We had an amazing four-day stay at Hotel Mulberry with my wife and her mom. Its location is unbeatable, surrounded by local shops, restaurants, bars, and wellness options like yoga and sound healing classes. The staff went above and beyond, upgrading us to an Executive room with a charming balcony where we could enjoy fresh air and birdsong. The room was spotless and well-equipped with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The hotel also offers a spa, gym, and a stunning infinity pool, making relaxation effortless. Airport pick-up and drop-off is also complimentary. Most of all, the staff’s kindness and hospitality made this experience truly special. Without a doubt, we’ll be back!

When she noticed I was coughing, she made sure to bring me water with honey and ginger. Well done to the hotel for having such dedicated employees.

All was perfect

We stayed here before and after a trek for 5 nights in total. The staff were really friendly and helpful and let us leave our luggage. Location is perfect for exploring the Thamel area but tucked away. Comfy, spacious room with balcony and great pool area and view.

We stayed at the Hotel Mulberry for several days after arriving in Nepal from India. We were warmly greeted by a very friendly reception staff. We had a king room on the third floor (308) that was relatively large and came with all the typical amenities. i.e. fridge, desk, safe etc. What was nice was finally having lots of good lighting and enough outlets for both cell phone and camera chargers. While the room was large, the bathroom while modern, was on the small side. The breakfast buffet was large and served a large variety of both Nepal and western dishes. We also ate in the restaurant dining room one evening, and the meal was fantastic. The Hotel Mulberry is located only about a block from a very touristy area, but was quiet at night with virtually no street noise. We felt very safe staying in the neighborhood and walking around in the evening. However, while the room was very nice, the best part of our visit was the extremely friendly and helpful staff in both the reception area and the dining area. I would definitely recommend staying here if you visit Kathmandu.
