Ludlow Mascall Centre

Good location, good price for the food festival

It was disappointing to find the cafe closed permanently. One of the reasons we booked was to ensure food was available on site due to mobility restrictions. We were contacted to pre-register and not informed. 10am checkout too early compared to most accommodation. There was a lot of late night noise on Saturday and no staff on site which made us feel vulnerable.

Two comfortable beds.

It was a bit cramped for two people with our things.

All good Value for money Everything you need

The location to both the train station and town centre.

The rooms are compact but are value for money

Die Fotos im Portal, zwischen der Realität der jetzigen Zeit, liegen 10 Jahre mindestens. Sehr runter gekommen!:-/

Alles, ausser Ludlow und deren Menschen.

The twin room is small but if you only use it to sleep in and use the bathroom it is absolutely fine. The facilities downstairs are fantastic. A well stocked kitchen and lounge area were a huge asset, far more than we expected. Even though it is a common area there were no others using it during our stay.

Central to the town.

Nothing, all fabulous.

Very simple, very accommodating

Can hear quite a bit of noise from other residents etc

Centrality

Location and the staff were very helpful excellent to have free parking this close to the centre.

Nothing

Exceptional value for money clean and quiet

Nothing to add here

The Mascall Centre is excellently located with easy access from the A49, free parking and only 5 minutes walk from Ludlow town centre

On the first night of our stay we were wakened up at 1am by a group of men returning to the centre and shouting at the top of their voices and banging doors. The following morning we were wakened up by the same men at 7am again shouting and banging doors - it was so bad I had to get up and tell then to quieten down. Our bedroom and bathroom were very small, the shower floor was very slippy - no mat - and the beds were uncomfortable meaning apart from the noise on the first night we didn't sleep well on the other nights.

Very convenient for town centre

First & foremost was the location . We were a party of golfers there just for the night so location to the town centre was our priority.

Everything suited our needs.

Great spot lile a luxury hostel! Kitchen and facilities brilliant. Bike storage.

Location was great and check in was smooth and great facilities

Great location, brilliant parking. Great access to facilities

Bed very solid, room rather warm and although there was a fan it did little to help.

Simple basic but clean, only needed for sleep so can't comment on shower

Location and free parking.

Nothing.

Centrally located, clean and tidy and great use of Communal spaces. Excellent value for money and all the staff we friendly and chatty! It’s not the Ritz but fantastic value for money with great parking and centrally located for the town.

All good.

Perfect location for the town centre and castle, parking included

Fantastic price and location

Room a bit dated and needed some redecorating

Personal welcome Easy on-site parking Spotlessly clean Tea/coffee Fan provided

Just a bit tight for space in the room - fine for us though.

The bathroom was a proper size and we appreciated the elevator. Ample off-road parking with easy access to restaurants and fast-food places. Easy to find with good communication from the property. We enjoyed our meal at the outside communial area. Bed linen was fresh and bathroom was clean.

The room was extremely small for two people. It was crammed in there with hardly space for our luggage. The beds and mattresses need upgrading. They certainly are not conducive to a good night's rest.

Ideal location for exploring the town and a basd for south shropshire. Nice room matching description. Staff pleasant. Plenty of on site parking. Large communal kitchen was very useful .

Clean and quiet with nice kitchen

Excellent value for money for hostel like accommodation. Good location, facilities and parking.

Staff friendly and accomodating, it is a budget hotel and as such, adequate.

It’s a hostel not a 5 star apartment so I could never give a 10/10 but for a hostel it is excellent. The staff are lovely, the facilities have everything you need (except a washing machine) and the wifi is superb.

Very clean. Friendly staff and atmosphere. Communal areas very clean and had everything you could want.i liked the proper coffee bags for the morning (rather than instant)

Nothing

Quiet Private Great value for money Great location

Well it’s very basic and small however I knew that’s what we were booking so I can’t really say I didn’t like that. There was nothing I didn’t like.

Lovely rooms and garden facilities today clean kitchen and plenty of tea and coffee and also had hair dryers iron boards everything you could of needed they had.

Nothing at all it was lovely

Location good, value for money

No breakfast, no WI-FI

great communication from the staff due to our late arrival

nothing

The receptionist / housekeeper was very helpful

All was fine given the size of the rooms

Good location. Excellent facilities. Helpful and accommodating staff.

3 retired gents in a room with small floor space and bunk beds was a bit of a squeeze

Location, facilities, cleanliness

Nothing to dislike

Convenient and had everything you need.

All good

Cleanliness & Location

All Good

Staff & location perfect. Spotlessly cleaned and a good shower.

Found the room small and the bed creeky and a little uncomfortable.

It was ok

Very clean Central location so very convenient

Proximity to the town and able to leave the car

Some areas look tired and a little fraied around d the edges, no actual person to check in, all done on the phone

Lovely staff, great location. Good size family room

Location

Location

Very warm welcome. Free onsite parking Everything that Ludlow has to offer within easy walking distance.

Room looking a little tired, but everything clean and sparkling.

Loved the location and concept. Great having kitchen facilities. Great price.

The whole registration process felt a bit odd and inhospitable. When we got there reception was lovely but in the lead up we were apprehensive.Wasn't clear when we could check in. Was basic/spartan in some areas (towels/bedding/decor) then high end with water cooler, premium tea/coffee and slippers. All just felt a little odd. Needed more intensive cleaning, extractor fan dirty and dust/fluff/hair in drawers. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again, I think knowing better how things work we'd enjoy it more.

Exactly as described. The location was good for sightseeing and shopping. The room was very clean.

It would be ideal if there was a luggage store.

Staff very friendly not a very comfortable night new beds needed but the location was amazing

The beds they need renewing

Location near to town.clean and comfortable bed.

Room a little small but adequate.

Small room as described. Cosy, clean and quite.

The cleanliness and the location .

everything was alright

Great location and accommodation had everything that I needed - great value for the money.

The bathroom blind and radiator were well past their sell by date. No point for hairdryer near a mirror.

friendy staff

nothing

Clean Tea and coffee and hot chocolate Good facilities Great location Helpful staff Parking Well equipped kitchen Warm

One mattress not very comfy Limited double bed options

Basic accommodation, but clean and comfortable nonetheless. Conveniently located, with ample on site parking. Good value, and a positive experience.

Excellent for exploring your wonderfultown and castle. Parking and walking made easy. Everyone friendly, and overall fantastic value.

Being 6ft 3in I found thebed a trifle small.

Fabulous local community initiative. Sart clean room. Excellent value for money. Great secure bike storage.

Nothing really, room a bit small, but still great value. Cyclists and pedestrians be careful on the road outside it's an unlikely looking local race track, cars accelerated hard up the hill and down it!!

Perfect location, great facilities

Husband found the bed uncomfortable, I was fine!

Rooms were very clean and had everything we needed

There was a large group in which meant we couldn’t use the kitchen to make breakfast…which made our stay more expensive as we had to eat out

room was always warm, plenty of hot water, plenty of towels.

bed was narrow.

There wasn't a toothpaste and tooth brush

Very helpful and friendly staff. Great location. Plenty of free parking is incredibly useful in a town like Ludlow. My second stay and will definitely be staying again. Thank you.

Comfortable and great location lovely great restaurant adjoining

Nothing to dislike good value

Great location easy walk to the town centre, clean and comfortable

All good not the Ritz but clean and comfortable

Location was fabulous. I liked the kitchen area (great idea) I think the lounge area could be more cosy but again it was nice to have an area to sit and relax rather than in the your room. Staff were friendly and it was very quiet.

The mattresses, they were very uncomfortable. Need replacing.

Was greeted on arrival by a wonderful lady who showed me all the facilities. And made me welcome. The place was spotlessly clean, the kitchen is fully equipped.

Nothing to dislike

Great place to stay couple of minutes in town centre free parking aswell

Everything

Lovely place, just on the edge of town. Comfortable, warm and clean. With everything you could possibly require. Great greeting and full instructions given, thankyou. Great place to stay

Lovely greeting, great room and everything you could need

all ok thank you

Great location, friendly staff, even if we were a little late checking out!

Location was ideal, friendly staff, made to feel welcome and beds were comfy. Facilities were great too. Price was also fantastic

Value for money

Nothing

very handy for town centre, castle and market square. basicly i was meeting my daughter, and just needed a room and bed for a couple of nights, which i got.

Could do with some sort of grabrail in the shower.

They provided eco products, provided towels, lots of tea bags, coffee, biscuits etc. lovely little garden if u wanted to sit outside. Great kitchen. Overall fantastic place. Also they had free parking.

I was looking forward having breakfast at the Greek place next door to the hostel unfortunately closed on the Sunday.

The location is really good, a 10 minute walk into the centre of town, with a free large car park. The check in was good and easy to notify the reception.

Our room was very small, as were our beds. There was no heating on , so had to go looking for the thermostat to get some heat into the room. The tiny television in our room, didn’t work either. We had to leave a day early due to a family issue.

The Mascall Centre is a great find. Clean, well furnished, free parking which is a bonus in Ludlow and right near the center of Town. Will certainly look to book again. And, did I mention how cheap it is, wow, a steal

Nothing to not kike

Excellent location and useful kitchen facilities.

Some aspects of the room could be improved, including the cleanliness under the bed (there must have been a year’s worth of dust and dirt, used cotton bud..). The mattress could also do with replacing.

Great staff, comprehensive instructions, did what it said on the label and perfect facilities. Great location.
