It's generally clean and the staffs were welcoming.

The space is very small, infact too small for the price, bathroom felt like a prison, you can't move your arms freely if you are tall or big without hitting on the door handle or something in the bathroom, the bathroom is ridiculously and surprisingly basic for a London Hotel, with some ridiculous herbal soap in the bathroom, nil hair dryer, nil mirror for shaving or sockets for shaving clippers,nil bathroom shelf to put your sponge or soap . It felt like the bathroom was built in the 80s. The bathroom drainage is poor, the flow of water from the shower was poor as well, you wouldn't be able to increase the flow..

The location

When booking said they served breakfast. However the restaurant at the hotel isn’t open and hasn’t been for years. Also the family rooms don’t have a fridge, only the double rooms have a fridge. Having a child and needing to give the milk was a nightmare with no fridge. Kept having to buy milk every day as it kept going off with the warm weather

Rooms were ok

So we booked a large double room or twin room on arrival check in was very slow. They gave us a small double room when I asked this is not what we booked they said that’s all they had . Then I asked if they had any other rooms was told they had family room which would cost us £104 to upgrade for the night . They were not accommodating whatsoever my son-in-law payed for the upgrade room .It was the same room we booked but just extra bed.very disappointed with the service. Said they would give us a twin room next day as we booked for 2 nights. My overall experience was that they were not understanding at all. Would like booking .Com to look into this and see if we can get some type of refund from our stay.

The air conditioning was wonderful. The room was clean and spacious. The hotel was close to good transport links.

Somewhere to get food

The room was very comfortable, and had aircon. Good location for Tooting Broadway and only 10 minutes from Wimbledon

The bathroom wasn't particularly clean, the shower was grimy round the sides and the shower door was broken. There were no hand towels

We had planned a trip to Wimbledon and decided to stay overnight in a hotel. We decided on the Pelican as it was fairly close to Wimbledon and honestly the cheapest as it was only a 3 star. The room we booked for the first night was a standard double which cost £150 a night, this was a nice room but only available for the first night so we had to change our room to what we originally booked which was classed as a "cosy double" and cost us £178.00 for one night! When we were shown to our room bearing in mind we paid more for this room because it was a Friday the room was smaller which didn't bother me as it was only for one might however Thoroughly the bed turned out to be a 3/4 bed and the carpets were dirty, stained and disgusting. When we went to complain they really were not interested and said the only way we could change our room to a standard double was to pay another £80 on top of what we had already paid. We of course refused this and had no choice as it was late at night but to stay there, needless to say I slept in socks as I refused to walk on the carpet. Don't get me wrong the 3/4 bed was clean as was the bathroom, my main issue in all this is how can they advertise this room as a cosy double when the bed certainly was not a double and how can they expect people to stay in a place with disgusting carpets. Needless to say I would not recommend anyone to book the "cosy double".

The room was clean and in good condition. Very comfortable beds and the air-conditioning was a welcome bonus on such a hot week. The hotel is in a great location.

Camera non pronta dopo che ci eravamo registrate, son dovuta andare 3 volte alla reception x farmi dare asciugamani ,asciugacapelli e segnalare che la cassaforte non si apriva e dopo che sono venuti ad aprirla ho provato ad inserire nuova combinazione ma non si è più riaperta e per fortuna che non ci avevo messo nulla. camera troppo piccola per un letto matrimoniale , mancanza di spazio anche solo per aprire le valige, 3 sole grucce per appendere gli abiti non in un vero armadio ma un manubrio all'aria aperta, bagno piccolo con un solo appendi asciugamani. Prezzo spropositato per 3 notti rispetto al servizio offerto . Non ci tornerò sicuramente

See my other review; it is perfect for visiting St George's. So close, yet so grotty. Otherwise, I cannot see why you would stay here.

Aircon: wonderful to have it, but make sure it is not on auto switch-off in the depth of the settings. Good luck with that.

Close to St George's, so ideal for visiting someone. Otherwise, stay in a nicer place. Reasonable value for money. I stayed in a Suite, really a small lobbt room with a single bed, small table and a cooking cupboard, then a tiny shower and toilet room, and into a modest sized double. It was really quiet, aircon and fine. But see the points below.

It's a terrible hotel: dirty carpets, scuffed walls, dusty, smelly mouldy shower, aircon with auto-switch-off, no cooking stuff, lobby seats masquerading as a bar, closed 'restaurant' and a dank feel. But, it is close to the hospital and fine if you have to stay here. Pick the suite and it's OK.

The location

Sent a message to tho hotel day before arrival and got no answer. Only towels left for 1 guest. No spoon and hardly any milk for warm drinks had to go to reception twice to ask for these things

Nice big room with everything that you need, large shower. Comfortable bed & bedding.

The left luggage room seemed a bit unorganised. No tagging of bags.

Quite , and great location

L’emplacement et l’accueil de la personne qui était présente la nuit. Nous sommes arrivés à deux heures du matin et il a été très aimable au téléphone lorsque nous l’avons appelé pour le prévenir de notre arrivée tardive et puis lors de notre arrivée.

La chambre était sale, la moquette n’avait pas été aspirée, nous avons retrouvé des bigoudis pour les cheveux par terre ainsi que beaucoup de poussières, l’évier de la salle de bain était bouché, il n’y avait qu’une seule serviette à disposition et nous avons dû en demander une autre, les murs étaient sales et tachés.

Nachdem Bettwanzen in unserem Zimmer aufgetreten sind und uns ordentlich gebissen haben, hat das Hotel uns bei der Suche nach einer neuen Unterkunft im Regen stehen lassen

The towel was huge, and with a tiny bathroom it wasn’t possible to air it for drying between showers. Little handing space.

The location

No hairdryer, no iron, curtain was faulty, missing light bulb in desk lamp. No coffee machine, no restaurant, no enough refreshments and the refreshments and toiletries were not replaced over night. It was way over priced and I will be seeking a partial refund.

Room wasn’t serviced for 3 days. Had to ask for hair dryer, extra tea bags and milk. No breakfast facilities available and informed at booking there were lots of eating places around the area … this wasn’t the case.

L'hôtel était situé entre un hôpital et un cimetière. Tout était minimaliste, y compris la taille de la chambre. La climatisation allait beaucoup trop fort également.

Vary small room, curtains did not block the light.

I booked because we attended Wimbledon and the bus stop is across the road and the bus takes you right outside the tennis grounds.

It would be great if there was a cafe for breakfast

crisp sheets comfortable bed , room a bit small but all good. TV was good. we used the hotel for wimbledon and got the 493 bus into wimbledon village which was every 20 mins or so. perfect. Staff on reception were very nice and polite. air con was spot on.

the wimdows were a bit poor in maintenance and the kettle was a bit small but understandable. plus the the hairdryer blew while i was using it , but electric flash. i took it back to reception ,

Great Location to Hospital

I booked this hotel due to its location. My father had to be at the hospital early and it was a 2 minute walk. The rooms we had were basic but okay. The reception staff were welcoming and drinks and snacks were available at all times.

The rooms had limited supplies such as no glasses for water. In my room, one of the bedside lamps did not work. It was not as spacious as expected, there was little room to put anything. It only had very basic facilities i.e. a kettle and cups and four coathangers. I would have expected a bit more for the price. The pillows were extremely hard and uncomfortable. A restaurant for breakfast or dinner would be nice as there are limited options within walking distance.

Direkt eine Bushaltestelle vor Ort, Geschäfte, Bars, Restaurants in der Nähe. Wenn man einen Ausflug nach Wimbledon machen möchte, ist man sehr schnell da.

Bed was too soft ..curtains and lampshades needed upgrading ..both were worn

The water pressure in shower was very good, with the ongoing heat wave A/C was worth every minute I was in the room. The mini kettle was handy to make my own coffee and soup, bed was comfortable and TV kept me entertained.

To get to the main shops on the High Road required getting on to transport for 1 stop, then go to the end of the line, then having to wait for another one to go distance less than a mile.

Friendly reception, well appointed room.

Doors especially on to corridor were very heavy and therefore VERY noisy when closing. They should sort that.

Tucked away and great location

That’s my favourite place to stay in London. I stayed here several times before and everything was always ok. The rooms are spacious and well- equipped. There is a coffee/tea/ biscuits corner, a wardrobe for your clothes and also an iron. The toiletries are provided as well. There are shops, pubs, bars, restaurants nearby. It’s located within a walking distance from the tube. If you don’t feel like walking (it’s about 10 minutes) you can take a bus. I highly recommend that place. Hope to come back soon again :)
