Beautiful and excellent location but very expensive.
Room was hot and prices were very inflated
Clean
Cramped rooms, poor food in Aviary and extremely sarcastic member of staff when apologising for error.
It's a stunning venue. Best sleep we have had on our trip thus far
The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Room was beautiful and the bed was very comfy
We liked the very polite, attentive staff, the food was excellent for all meals and our rooms were very comfortable and clean. We would recommend The Feathers in Woodstock.
i was in room 26 and the noise from the bar area was very loud one night. I would avoid room 26 in future! Also, we thought the dinner menu should be changed more often, it was the same for the three nights we were there. Lastly, I look forward to receiving my deposits for the three rooms we had - £150.
We arrived to be met by the receptionist who took our bags from the car. Fantastic service from your Ukrainian receptionist. We had dinner in the Aviary on Sunday and the food, wine, service and ambience were excellent. Thank you
When we checked in the weather was hot and the air conditioning wasn’t working. Gemma the manager organised for us to be moved to a suite which was wonderful and the air conditioning was perfect.
breakfast was amazing, dog friendly doesn't begin to express how well our dogs were looked after
nothing
Staff went out of their way to make us feel welcomed, bedroom was excellent, village was really nice, everywhere was close, really enjoyed the food at the resturants
stairs was a little bit tricky for my partner after a long day walking, but hotel was nice and quaint
The friendly staff! The best!! Wonderfull design and welcoming atmosphere. Airco all over the hotel. Cosy courtyard. All the little details makes it a relaxing stay. The little cake in the room. Tony chocolony in de fridge. A good Coffeemachine in the room. We loved it.
Absolutely nothing. 😀
Emily receptionist extremely helpful - the interiors were very elegant -
Nothing
Lovely old hotel in Woodstock , luxuriously furnished. Super staff. Lovely acknowledgement of our celebration.
Welcoming staff and a lovely hotel in the heart of the village, with Blenheim Palace grounds on your doorstep.
Fruit and cereals selection inadequate.
Friendly and cozy
Nothing
Perfect location to visit Blenheim Palace and surroundings
Everyone seemed to be checking in at the same time and I think it would have been more relaxed for the staff to have a few more people working
Amazing location for Blenheim Palace. Staff were excellent and extremely helpful, a credit to the hotel.
Nothing negative to comment
Clean and comfortable. Friendly efficient staff. Good communication prior to arrival regarding parking etc. Small cake on arrival was a lovely touch. Breakfast was good. Great location a short walk from Blenheim Palace.
Nothing really, although it was quite expensive as it was the Blenheim Palace Festival due to demand pricing but to be expected. Worth it to be able to walk home after the concert!
Staff went above & beyond to make our Anniversary stay extra special!
Nothing we didn’t like
Central location in very pretty Woodstock. We were there for an event at Blenheim Palace and there is a gate into the estate at the bottom of the road. The property is an old historic site so higeldy, pigeldy and quaint but beautifully restored and very high end furnishings. With two gorgeous restaurants one more high brow than the other but both equally luxurious with amazing food. It was really hot but I imagine the ‘nest’ indoors would be like a hug in winter. The bed was gorgeous and had the best nights sleep I’ve had in a long time - 11am check out was also blissful!
There were two tiny niggles but related to the fact that we all returned to the hotel late post gig. There were complimentary mini bars but they were sparse and I would have expected availability to some items you could buy. They said that the concierge was available 24-7 but there was no food menu in the rooms so returning starving and all food options were exhausted. I ended up eating all of the complimentary food. But that was tiny and I wouldn’t imagine you would be late night food ordering on a general stay as it’s about relaxation.
Everything was fine and staff excellent
As above
Location was perfect, Hotel was clean and very stylish. Staff were very warm and friendly and helpful. Air conditioning was a godsend given we visited during a heatwave.
The bed was small and a little uncomfortable. The feature room we had booked and paid for had been double booked so we were given a lower category of bedroom. The Manager was extremely apologetic and provided us with complimentary breakfasts and a bottle of prosecco. We dined in the Aviary and unfortunately the food was underwhelming but quite expensive and our main courses came out separately. Finally we are pleased we didn’t have to pay for the breakfasts because they were very average.
This is a lovely hotel, it’s been furnished beautifully. The location is great. Friendly and helpful staff, Avairy staff worked so hard.
Great hotel. V minor points but a decent mirror in the bedroom and more space for clothes would make the rooms perfect.
Fantastic hotel
Everything was expetional
The staff member Julia was rude and not helpful at all.
Welcoming staff, room clean and comfortable. Bathroom facilities very good. Heating and cooling of room very good. Complimentary snacks and lemon drizzle cake provided on arrival. Excellent location for visiting Blenheim Palace and Woodstock village.
Not great value for money, especially as breakfasts are not included in the room rate and costs £25 pp to add on. Lots of excellent cafes in Woodstock offer more reasonable breakfast options. Parking is a bit of a faff having to find the site, key in a code, open gates manually, drive in and park and then close gates manually both ways - arrival and departure.
Prior to check-in, the hotel reached out for names of guests and when I explained it eas a mother daughter weekend they very kindly offered to turn the room into twin beds for us. We didn't even have to ask. Very thoughtful. The staff at the hotel made the stay for us. Very personable, chatty and great advice about the surrounding area. Gorgeous evening meal and breakfast in the hotel. In particular evening meal was served by a young lady who did a 1st class job of efficient, friendly and the great skill of being very graceful whilst working quickly and efficiently. Free secure parking.
Lovely
Steep narrow stairs but part of the charm
staff, breakfast, rooms, everything was just amazing!
everything was amazing
We did not have breakfast
The bed was small and the room doors need a softer closing mechanism
The room was lovely, clean, and the free mini bar was well stocked. We booked a meal of the tasting menu at The Nest, in the hotel. It was excellent food. The hotel is well situated in the centre of Woodstock, just a short walk from one of the entrances to Blenheim Palace.
The staff were very polite and helpful to guests but far too loud and chatty amongst themselves, even in front of guests waiting to be served at reception. In the morning, at 7am, leaving our room, we could hear them chatting in reception to each other all the way up the staircase. In the dining room, the plates were just ‘plonked’ down, the wine very nearly spilled as it sloshed in the glasses. Explanations of the tasting menu courses were garbled and short. The staff walked far too quickly past diners, making the whole area feel like a thoroughfare. It was such a shame. As a young staff, we felt that it wouldn’t have taken much just for them to be told to act more professionally in the guest areas, and the whole experience would have matched the surroundings. One more point, the wine flight for the tasting menu should be upgraded as the standard of the food was far above the quality of the wines served with it.
Beautifully appointed and well situated
Nothing - it was lovely
Lovely comfortable room. Nice piece of cake on arrival. Nice friendly, helpful staff. Great position in the village.
Nothing
Everything at the Feathers was lovely. They even gifted us a bottle of processco as we were celebrating our 40th birthdays. The room was lovely and clean and the staff very welcoming. We found the beds to be on the hard side and the shower (water pressure amazing) did leak. Overall I would recommend this hotel but without breakfast included we found it to be slightly pricey. It also would have been nice if the fires were lit in the communal areas.
Beautifully updated since my last visit, with tasteful touches yet retaining its charm
Lovely stay… loved the decor… great staff… fabulous breakfast!!

Amazing stay in a beautiful hotel.
No on site parking.
Very comfortable hotel with good atmosphere & decor. Excellent restaurant Lovely & helpful staff
Nothing, everything was perfect.
Staff friendly Excellent refurbished
Stairs to room
The receptionist was very kind and thoughtful and attentive
The breakfast could have been better. Although there was a wedding party there for the weekend the breakfast was rushed for the other guests and the coffee wasn't good.
Very comfy rooms with nice touches
Little option for a relaxing drink post dinner. Looked as if options but both were monopolised by family group and 4 selfish men taking up the whole room. Staff not much help and sitting in the casual pizza restaurant with one other couple eating a shame.
Location, we were visiting Blenheim Palace
Parking is tricky and a bit hit and miss, if you’re lucky you’ll be able to get a space!
Everything
Modern, clean, comfortable
All was good
The property was beautiful, we went with our son and his family and they even put a Christmas tree up for the grandchildren in there room. The staff , rooms , hotel, all wonderful.
Nothing , it was perfect
A wonderful boutique hotel. The staff could not be more helpful. The rooms are big, the beds large and welcoming. And the location is perfect. A 10 minute walk from Blenheim Palace, a 20 minute drive from Oxford.

It had a perfect location in the beautiful village of Woodstock. I loved that the room was well kitted with quality products and personal touches.
Nothing.
Very close to Blenheim.
Everything was great.
Great location, lovely hotel and staff
Bed was very uncomfortable, bathroom was drafty and could hear music into late hours.
Decor, ambience, room, bed and bed linen, the management and staff
The lunch was good, but we ate in the main dining room in the evening and was disappointed with the choice of menu, the quality of produce and the quantity.
The decoration and furnishings in the general areas. All very cosy with a feel for the history of the place. The staff were so accommodating and our family dinner was excellent.
Nothing really.
Lovely breakfast
lots of stairs!
Wonderful, warm, and cozy hotel. Staff were very helpful and friendly, and made my birthday memorable. We stayed to visit Blenheim and celebrate my birthday. The property is only a short walk away from the palace. The hotel has a wonderful bar and the food at The Aviary was fabulous.
NA
The room was adequate but at £250 pounds per night it should be!
When I came to check out I was charged a further £50 for two 'breakfasts'. In fact I had had only 'continental' breakfasts consisting on each occasion of a single croissant and a cup of coffee. Does the hotel think it reasonable to make such a charge-daylight robbery. When I queried this extortion I was told it was because I had booked through Booking.com and that the charge would have been deleted had I booked directly with the hotel
The whole hotel has been completely renovated and what was a charming but slightly quirky hotel is now an absolute gem! We have stayed here 4 or 5 times over the past 3 years or so and have witnessed the transformation! The hotel maintains all the old world charm of before but now the 2 new rooms we have stayed in were both spacious, very well equipped with really lovely bathrooms. The staff are really great and obviously love working here! Special praise however goes for the restaurant ‘The nest’ - head chef Luke has been here all the time we have been coming here and the food is absolutely top notch! Even if you don’t stay here I would definitely recommend trying the restaurant - it’s excellent!
Nothing
The property was new, spotless, and in excellent condition. The Wi-Fi coverage was great, and we were able to stream on the TV without any issues. There were lovely thoughtful touches like lemon drizzle cakes and a retro radio playing classical music when we arrived. The staff were extremely kind and helpful throughout our stay. The location was perfect, right in the centre of Woodstock, close to charming village shops and cafés.
Our bed could be bigger but other than that it was perfect.
Location, staff
Shower leaked, nobody told us extra charge for dog, and breakfast wasn’t included so the bill at the end was abit of a shock! We was just told what tone breakfast is on check in.
I loved the location, how clean it was, the furnishings and the food.
Nothing major to add other than my room overlooked the courtyard that has outdoor speakers. At around 11pm whilst trying to sleep I could hear low bass from the speakers which was annoying after a while. I phoned reception and asked for the speakers outside to be turned off which was done straight away. The windows aren’t completely soundproof and thats fine but something to think about if you’re thinking of staying here for a quiet getaway, maybe in the summer when I imagine the courtyard would have several people outside.

Beautiful rooms, extremely welcoming staff that went the extra mile. Stunning decor throughout. Really thoughtful touches
Dog friendly rooms can be quite noisy. The car park is a walk away which isn't ideal if you have a lot of luggage or raining!
Very clean, beautiful decor, recently updated
