Die Lage ist mit sehr schönem Ausblick und ruhig gelegen doch sehr zentral, das Parken super einfach und kostengünstig. Das Frühstück sehr gut mit sehr freundlichem Personal.

Das Bett war etwas schmal für 2 Personen und die Matratze unkomfortabel.

What a friendly hotel. Welcomed by the owner (before the normal check in time) and shown to a spacious, clean and well presented bedroom. All that we needed. And the breakfast room is very impressive - light and airy and the food choice was great. So much so that I didn't miss my cooked breakfast! Staff very attentive and friendly - both from the breakfast team and the cleaners.

The entrance of the hotel and the internal stairs look like they need a bit of tlc, which isn't uncommon for similar older properties - but the bedrooms are not like this! This minor observation would not stop us recommending the hotel.

Das Fenster war sehr undicht und es zog ordentlich bei dem sehr windigem Wetter rein.

The location was excellent and close to a lovely walk along the path by the sea. There are a number of good restaurants nearby. The continental breakfast was well presented and the staff were friendly and very helpful. The room was comfortable and very clean. Well done Westward Ho!

The wobbly toilet seat.

Die Lage ist fantastisch, insbesondere der Meerblick. Man ist direkt an der Promenade über dem Meer - perfekt für Spaziergänge (mit Hund oder ohne). Das Familienzimmer ist geräumig, für einen längeren Aufenthalt gäbe es allerdings zu wenig Ablageflächen. Die Betten sind sehr gut, mit etwas strafferen Matratzen.

Das Bad ist alt und die Wasserleitungen wahnsinnig laut. Auch die von den Nachbarn. Bei dem Übernachtungspreis müsste eigentlich ein englisches Frühstück drin sein. Es gab immerhin Obst, Joghurt, Toast und Marmelade, Käse und eine Anzahl verschiedener Cerealien, die nicht alle frisch wirkten. Dazu mini-"Croissants" aus der Tüte.

Everything was great! The room is spotless, and you can enjoy a wonderful sea view right from the window. The area is really lovely, and the staff are so kind and welcoming.

The bed had a spring mattress; we prefer a firmer one. I don't think that's a negative review, because everyone has a preferred mattress type. We slept well, so it definitely isn't a negative point.

Good location. Walking distane to the beach.

Carpet in the room was old. The room was in disrepair, hand towel hanger came off, it smelt old and musty. No lift.

As a couple of 76 & 87 the stairs were a bit of a challenge had we been 10 yrs younger no problem , we where warned but did not realise how steep the stairs where. Apart from that everything was fine and we accept that a building that age is not perfect (much like us Ha Ha ) would stay again if not for that

- A WC körül állt a víz, ami, folyamatosan volt - Több mint 40 perc múlva lett melegvíz, tusoláskor, ami 3 percig tartott, utána hideg lett... - A kétszemélyes ágy nagyon kicsi, ketten, nem fértünk el rajta rendesen! - Februárban foglaltam szállást és leírtam, hogy kutyával jövünk augusztusban, de csak a második emeletre kaptunk szobát, ami valójában a harmadik.. - ja, a lift több éve nem működik! És fontos: a szobában, nincs fürdőszoba, hanem pár lépcsőfokkal alatta található egy másik szoba és az a fürdő! A Motelt, szerintem fel kellene újítani, nagyon oda van!!!

Personnel agréable. Facile de garer sa voiture. Les lits d'assez bonne qualité. Le petit déjeuner continental très bien. Le ménage est bien fait, mais l'ensemble de la chambre est vielli.

Trop cher par rapport à la qualité de la chambre. La moquette nécessite un changement. La salle de bain est médiocre. Vraiment, la qualité n'est pas à la hauteur du prix bien trop élevé !

Liegt direkt an der Promenade, schöne und saubere Zimmer, Meerblick. Gutes, selbstgemachtes Frühstücksbuffet, was sehr lecker war. Personal sehr freundlich und gut erreichbar.

Direkt am Meer heisst auch hoher Lärmpegel wegen den Seemöven. Zudem ist es ein B&B. Das realisiert man aber erst, wenn man vor dem Eingang steht.

Die Unterkunft liegt nur 10 Gehminuten vom Strand entfernt. Das Familienzimmer war sehr groß und stimmig gestaltet. Das kontinentale Frühstück war gut und ausreichend.

Die Betten hatten unter der Matratze nur Metallstäbe und waren deshalb mehr als hart.

Die Lage ist sehr gut, das Quartier sauber, die Häuser gepflegt.

Die Rezeption ist nicht besetzt, d.h. man muss bei der Ankunft bei einer angegebenen Telefonnummer anrufen, damit jemand kommt, die Türe aufmacht und die Zimmerschlüssel übergibt.

Lage in schönem Stadteil, ruhig, direkt an der Uferpromenade. Unser Zimmer hatte Blick aufs Meer. Schönes altes Haus. Einrichtung etwas schlicht. Gute Matratzen. Frühstück gut, leider keine Eier, aber sonst viel Auswahl.

Bei einem der 5 Betten vielen Latten vom Lattenrost raus. Bad könnte schöner sein, war aber OK. Bei Anruf soll man vorher telefonisch Bescheid geben wegen Ankunftszeit. Dennoch hat es gedauert, bis ein Mitarbeiter kam - sind nicht vor Ort.

Gostamos do quarto familiar. Muito confortável, espaçoso, bem arrumado e com uma janelinha com vista para o mar.

Sem dúvida o que menos gostamos foram as escadas que tivemos de subir para chegar ao quarto que era no último andar. Edifício sem elevador.

Very beautiful place and nice staff members.

Very good location with a view on the sea. Simple hotel , no fancy stuff, no lobby, but big family room. Very kind people in the hotel team.

The windows of the room could not be opened and stay open ! Breakfast was fine but the choice was limited.

The hotess provided a great breakfast and was very helpful with transportation and restaurant.

When I first arrived, the place smelled a little moldy, however after the rooms were and windows were opened the smell was gone. The room that I am sleeping indicates that it was perhaps a kid room converted into a bedroom. The toilet and bath was tiny and there was minimum space for 2 persons. PLEASE NOTE THERE IS NO ELEVATOR SO NOT SUITABLE FOR OLDER FOLKS. NO BELLBOY TOO. However, the bed was great and my slumber was restful

Unfortunately the beds in our rooms were metal so very squeaky every time you moved and matresses need replacing as springs felt through them so sleep very poor and heat in room had us sweating all night sadly

Une grande maison qui est restée dans son jus à la belle époque et dans la tradition. La localisation avec une belle vue sur la mer. Un très bon contact avec la personne en charge du petit déjeuner et de l’accueil pour les renseignements des restaurants alentour. Les petites attentions dans la chambre ( bouteille d’eau, chocolat)

Les fenêtres sont d’époque et très passante. Le confort du lit est très limite .

A decent, clean, well run hotel which welcomes well behaved dogs, which is a big bonus to us. Good breakfast, nice staff.

Es ist weniger ein Hotel, mehr ein Hostel. Eher spartanisch... Das Frühstück ist " continental", also kein typisch Englisches. Es gab Toast, Cereals, Wurst/Käse, Croissants. Wir haben ein bischen die Vielfalt der anderen Rezensionen vermisst. Also Eier oder Rührei wäre super gewesen.

Excellent location, friendly staff, although you have to give them a call to speak to them as reception is not manned. Room was very clean and tidy. Breakfast was very basic but was okay.

Bed were very squeky and uncomfortable so barely slept at night.

The room was bigger than I expected, we only met one staff member which was at check in and he was very friendly and helpful. The location was amazing! Really close to places to eat and get drinks, just across the road from the beach front and it was dog friendly. It only took us about 10-15 minutes to get to LeShuttle so very convenient.

It is an old building so a bit run down. The outside is gorgeous and I love the high ceilings but it could do with a bit of a refurbishment inside.

We had a very difficult journey to get Dover, and the brightest spot of the trip was the staff at Westward Ho Hotel. Thank you for accommodating our late check in after we were significantly delayed. Thank you for helping us get breakfast, and get parking registration. Thank you for being patient with our small children. Really, you made a stressful trip much more manageable, i cannot thank you enough. We will stay here again.

L'emplacement près de la mer, l'accueil souriant, le calme, la qualité du petit déjeuner pour un B&B.

Une petite rénovation de la salle de bains serait bienvenue, mais elle est néanmoins très propre. Et on est dans un B&B aménagé dans une très belle vieille maison anglaise telle qu'on peut les imaginer.

Locatie helemaal super. Personeel heel vriendelijk. Ontbijt keurig en goed verzorgd. Keurig schoon alles.

Matrassen erg zacht. Verder prima.

Family room was ideal - one double bed and three singles, all made up with clean bedding and miniatures of shower gel, shampoo and conditioner per person on each bed. Bathroom was basic but met our needs. We left early in the morning so they kindly arranged for “takeaway” breakfast to be left outside our bedroom consisting of a pastry, a yogurt, a piece of fruit and a carton of fruit juice per person - ample and very well received by our three young children. Didn’t really see any staff except the chap who checked us in - very pleasant although was clearly primarily working at the “sister hotel” up the road and had dashed to meet us!

The staff asked us to call an hour before we arrived, then when we did they asked us to call again 15 minutes before we got there - in hindsight we now know it’s because there aren’t any staff based at the hotel but regardless, a little annoying to keep being asked to call them. Also, when we called we asked for a restaurant recommendation to get dinner for our three young children. They recommended the “sister hotel” which was a short stroll from the hotel. However, the Skuba Bar & Bistro was entirely inappropriate for children and this recommendation was obviously only made to keep the money “in house”. Clearly popular with locals, the outside area was busy with many drunk men shouting loudly across the patio area and smashing glasses. We went inside to request to eat inside but the girl serving clearly had no idea and we ended up eating in the bar area. The bar area felt like a cafeteria rather than a restaurant and with minimal soft furnishings was extremely loud and echoey every time one of the drunk patrons came in to order more drinks. Might be alright for an adult group to grab basic food and a few drinks but certainly not family-friendly and should not have been recommended to us.

Staff were lovely and welcoming. Check in was simple, including sorting out parking permit. Bed was comfortable. Lovely sea view out of window. Appreciated toiletries & tea/coffee provided. Excellent location for seafront access.

Noisy rolling ensuite door wasn't ideal for use during the night. Breakfast was OK - would have been nice to have some ham rather than/in addition to the salami on offer. Price is probably average for location but it felt a bit expensive overall given lack of cooked breakfast and overall state of decor.

What a gorgeous hotel! It is beach front, we had sea view, room was gorgeous we had a lovely stay. We only stayed one night as a stop over before driving to France, and I would 100% book to stay there longer

Jammern auf hohem Niveau...aber die Betten quietschen ganz fürchterlich und sind dabei sehr laut...also 5 Leute im Zimmer und jeder dreht sich um dann ist das schon laut :)

The hotel was excellent, especially considering the very reasonable price we paid. Although an old building, it was spotlessly clean. The bed was very comfortable. We also had a room with a sea view, and the hotel was 2 minutes walk from the lovely promenade. The lady that checked us in was very helpful and friendly. The hotel is also very convenient for the Channel Tunnel. Highly recommend.

The shower was poor, mattress very worn and couldn’t sleep on it. Bread was mouldy
