Over priced for what you get. Small room, gross stained carpet all for the low price of $500 a night +$95 daily for parking. Only in the city can you get away with this.

I would not recommend staying here. Go to the Hyatt or Luma. No onsite services available, the rooftop bar is okay, but very small and not worth it. They say they offer coffee in room, but no water, unless you bring your own, and ins coffee cup and one espresso cup, to make coffee in. Completely not worth the cost!

Location walking distant to restaurants and entertainment. Valet parking available, a must in San Francisco. The AC in the room was silent…..💤

Our first rooms mini fridge and AC were not working. The second room we were moved to also felt stuffy.

Once again (and as usual) my family had the most wonderful time at Hotel VIA. The entire experience is like none other. Jerry and Barbara are wonderful hosts and make sure that every guest experience is memorable. You will notice the attention their Customer Service, as soon as you arrive, when you are greeted by Jose, the valet attendant. I also want to thank our bartenders, Mia and Tommy, who always provide excellent service with huge smiles. I wish every destination city had a Hotel VIA and cannot wait to come back!!! Thanks again to Jerry and Barbara!

The Via Hotel was fabulous as always! ⚾️🧡 It’s our favorite Giants getaway spot -relaxing, clean, safe, and the perfect place to make those San Francisco memories. We love grabbing drinks at the rooftop before and after the game. The views of the city are absolutely killer, and the vibe is unmatched! 🌉✨ There’s just something special about sipping a drink, taking in the skyline, and feeling the excitement of game day all around you. And the best part? We’ve bumped into so many Giants players during our visits -those unforgettable moments are what make every trip to The Via so worthwhile! Huge kudos to the housekeeping team! 👏 The rooms are always spotless and beautifully cared for. Your hard work makes the stay even better. Can I also give a HUGE shoutout to the Valet team? Wow!! Exceptional customer service! They are the first staff members you see when arriving, and they hit it out of park! (Pun intended) The Via NEVER disappoints… Giants games, rooftop views, great memories, and a little San Francisco magic every time. ❤️

We come to The Via often and truly love staying here. The location, rooftop, Giants atmosphere, front desk staff and overall experience are what keep bringing us back. I did want to share a couple of observations from our recent stay. We’ve noticed that some of the carpets in certain rooms are starting to look worn and could benefit from either a deep cleaning or replacement to keep the rooms feeling as fresh and elevated as the rest of the hotel. The other thing I noticed during this trip on 7/10/26 was the Rooftop Bar service. The bartender (a younger woman with black curly hair) seemed either new or may need some additional training. She was helping another guest when we walked in, which is understandable, but we weren’t acknowledged with a simple hello, smile, or nod. When guests are paying around $700 for a room, those small hospitality touches really matter. A quick greeting or acknowledgment makes guests feel welcomed and appreciated. Unfortunately, the interaction felt a little off compared to our past experiences. Usually, the gentlemen working the rooftop bar have been fantastic -friendly, attentive, and great at creating that welcoming atmosphere we love about The Via. We’ll continue coming back because we truly enjoy this hotel and the memories we make here. I hope this feedback helps keep The Via at the high standard we’ve always appreciated.

I booked rooms at Hotel Via for my two adult sons and me for an early Father’s Day weekend centered around the San Francisco Giants. We enjoyed a night game on Saturday and a day game on Sunday, with an overnight stay at the hotel. I’ve stayed here many times, and it continues to impress. The location is unbeatable, especially for Giants fans. The rooms are well-appointed, and the staff consistently delivers warm, attentive service. Special recognition to manager Barb Perzigian for leading such an exceptional team. They truly take great care of their guests.

Went to the Rooftop Bar after a Giants win and had a terrific time. Great views of various sites in San Francisco and across the Bay. Wonderful bar service. Nice seating options on a beautiful day. Was lucky to meet a couple of Giants players too. Will certainly return.

This property has nice a nice public space in their rooftop garden, and mostly very friendly staff. But that's where the good news ends: Bedroom setup is ridiculous- while the beds are comfortable, the bathrooms don't have a real door that closes , instead they have a glass barn door which means you get zero privacy, odors and sounds freely travel into the sleeping area, and if you turn on the bathroom light at 3:00 AM the whole bedroom is flooded. Moreover, the bedroom lights are either on full blast, or off - no dimmers. No grab bars in the shower, despite codes that requires it. And, there are multiple flashing LEDs tucked away in various places that require you to drape towels or pillows to get a darkened room for sleeping. The bedside tables don't have a drawer, so you are left trying to find various inconvenient places to stash your stuff, such as on top of the safe in the closet. And last but not least, parking is a nightmare even with a handicap placard because the surrounding streets all have street sweeping three times a week at 6:00 AM, and the hotel manager gave me a hard time when I wanted to park our car in the adjacent garage for the listed $25 / night. Instead, they only officially offer $75/night valet parking (!!) which is ridiculous. Fortunately one of their staff was kind enough to get us entry into that garage anyway, Bottom line: not recommended unless you are staying alone for a day or two biz trip.

My room was upgraded at no charge to face the street, so I had a great view of Oracle Park. The room was spacious, clean, and had a nice coffee service. For the location and convenience to that part of San Francisco, I think the price was reasonable.

This is a wonderful boutique hotel. The location in South Beach is perfect. It is directly across from the Giant’s stadium and there are many restaurants and bars in walking distance. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are modern, quiet and clean. I recommend a room on a higher floor. The views of the bay are spectacular.

Stayed 5/22/26. Great location. Parking at hotel was too expensive, $95, wow. Great rooftop bar. Food was average. drinks were expensive. Room was great. Lighting switches were bad, hard to figure out and all worked from iPad. I just want to turn lights on and off with one switch. Never figured it them out and I'm pretty good with an iPad. Lighting in hallways was dark and did not make you feel safe. Ice machine on our level was not working.

I stayed here on May 10. The only thing good about this hotel is this location. And that's being kind. The front desk staff is full of young people that don't know the art of hospital. The African-American staff person is just rude and I can't believe they would let somebody get a front desk have stars all over their face and tats just really unprofessional. Please hire older more experienced hotel staff. They know how to treat a guest when they arrive. If you're trying to project yourself as a high-end hotel, try acting like one.

Other bad experiences: The rooftop bar sent me away with cold takeout. The Wi-Fi is terrible and spotty. And quite honestly, the self signal is terrible in the rooms. I would never stay again for that reason alone. This hotel blocked the Fox channel on the TV. See photo. I told the staff member and they never got back to me. There is not a stitch of art on the walls of this room. It felt like a sterile hospital room. Try going to the trouble of having some creativity and decorating the room. See photo. This is nothing more than a glorified Motel 6.

We stay at Hotel Via every time we come to a San Francisco Giants game, and we wouldn’t stay anywhere else. The location is unbeatable, literally steps from Oracle Park. You can walk across the street and be at the stadium in minutes. The hotel itself is spotless, with super comfortable beds, fluffy pillows, and consistently clean rooms. Huge shoutout to housekeeping as they truly go above and beyond. One of the highlights is the rooftop bar. The views are incredible, drinks are great, and the whole vibe is just fun and relaxing. Sip something smooth, watch the sun melt into the bay, and let the noise of life fade out. Funny thing… you might just run into a player or two while you’re at it 😉 we have several times! Despite being so close to the action, it’s surprisingly quiet at night, making it easy to unwind and get a great night’s sleep. The valet service is absolutely worth it, friendly, efficient, and just makes everything easier. There are also tons of great spots nearby. We love MoMo’s for a lively pre-game drink and dinner, and The Stick is such a fun baseball-themed hangout around the corner from Tom Brady’s card shop. Between the location, service, and overall experience, this place is a home run every time. We never stay anywhere else but The Via! 💜 No rush. No stress. Just be. That’s living!

I had a reservation at another hotel but needed a room for one night. When I called at 11pm, I got Ray on the phone... she was absolutely amazing! Her customer service and kindness was like no other. It was way better then the other hotels staff I had booked, so I decided to cancel my first choice and stay all weekend at Hotel Via. Then I got there and my room was very clean, great location, and every staff member from front desk, cleaners to manager were absolutely wonderful. Rooftop has great food and amazing views. I will definitely be booking again when back in town!

Location is amazing. Right across from Oracle Park, and close to the wharf. All of the front desk staff are amazing. They are always helpful no matter what my questions.

The A/C in the room didn't seem to work as well as I would have liked. Took awhile to cool down. The lights are all on one master switch, so you can't seem to turn on the lights by the desk area without turning on the master which lights up the whole room.

Rooms were clean and spacious. Receptionist was very nice during our check-in and gave us an upgrade. Location was perfect for our stay in the city as we were attending a concert at the Chase Center.

We went upstairs to the bar area. It was fairly busy and only one person working in the front getting people's drinks. Once we were at a table it took quite awhile to order some food.

Viewed parking lot - no privacy with the blinds opened during the day. Had to keep them closed during the day if we were in the room - made it claustrophobic. Parking was very expensive so we parked elsewhere that was quite close.

The hotel is conveniently located near the SF Giants park. It is surrounded by restaurants and entertainment. It is within walking distance of Muni stops, making it easy to access rail cars or buses. The room itself was small, clean, and comfortable. I felt that I got my money’s worth. Although there wasn’t anything extra, the room and amenities were good.

The room was good, though operating the lights were a bit weird. It's operated by tablet and you can choose what you want to keep on or turn off. It was either on or off. What may be a downside is the bathroom counter was also small. But I assume it's based on the size room I booked.
