Tranquil Days Guest House - a truly exceptional bed and breakfast

The location is perfect. Eric was very welcoming and managed to fix a beeping smoke alarm right away. The bacon really was excellent and I enjoyed eating peameal bacon again.

It got a little stuffy and cramped in the attic when there wasn't a through wind, but the fans and the AC unit helped keep the air moving.

Super nice B&B, close to all the venues. Beautiful space, wonderful experience created by the hosts. Breakfasts were amazing!

Breakfast options were plentiful and everything was fresh and delicious Loved leaving our car parked in the driveway for our entire stay and even after check out for a few hours!

At first the water pressure in the sink wasn’t great but then it kicked in and was good

Everything from the food, location- we walked everywhere- to the accommodations was top notch! Beds were comfy- rooms and bathroom were well stocked with high quality products. Breakfast was delicious! So many choices- both sweet and savory. Owners engaged with us just the right amount! Friendly, helpful and welcoming. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Breakfast was amazing!

Had some issues with getting in around 11. Keycode didn't work but they were able to help after I called.

The breakfast choices were excellent. We were a group of three with each person making a different choice for breakfast so we could get an idea of what was on offer. Everything was delicious. The room was excellent with comfortable beds, nicely appointed rooms with extras included in the fridge and a balcony for enjoying a late evening chat. The location was within walking distance of the downtown and the hosts were delightful.

The Hot Tug closed at 10:00 pm. We were planning on coming home from play & using it but closed at 10 PM.

The location was perfect for seeing plays at the various theatres. The B and B was lovely and the owners were very helpful with providing us with directions and ideas for restaurants. They ensured we had a dinner reservation. The next morning breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented.

The hosts were expert at providing an exceptional breakfast with professional service.

Our host went above and beyond to meet our needs and answer questions. It was lovely to be able access good coffee early in the morning.

Eric and Sharon define hospitality. They are kind, helpful, and care that you have a good experience. The cooked breakfast is excellent with fresh fruit and home baked goods, and really excellent maple bacon. Very clean, with a very convenient location. They have paid attention to all of the details, so it was a very comfortable stay.

This was our first time to this B&B and we were quite surprised. Eric and Sharon (who is a chef) were outstanding hosts. Very personable and incredibly accommodating. They gave us good feedback on restaurants to try and nightclubs to visit. The room was immaculate and very good quality linens and towels. The food was simply outstanding. We got to choose what we would like for breakfast and it was like no other B&B we’ve been to before as it was like being served in a restaurant. Terrific hollandaise on the eggs benedict. I can’t say enough about this and we will certainly be back.

We are still getting used to higher costs when travelling. The going rate is higher now.

Breakfasts were very creative as well as tasty and nourishing. Guests made their choices the day before from a printed list. Co-host/chef Sharon Day prepared individual breakfasts to perfection and baked wonderful treats as well using produce from local farmers markets. Co-host Eric Day made sure the local coffee kept coming and the homemade preserves were replenished. He showed a genuine interest in his guests, and our chats were interesting and fun. It was a real treat stay there!

We pre-ordered our meal on arrival (cards were due in by 7 p.m.). We had a choice of different meals, and then extra items were charged individually. We both ordered extra sausage - they were little sausage patties, and we didn't like them. The serving size of the meal wasn't huge, but it was certainly enough, and all freshly prepared and tasty, and there were plenty of options to choose from, with thoughtful alternatives for dietary restrictions. Breakfast conversation with the other guests was lively, and Eric was attentive, checking on us while we ate. The room was nicely appointed - everything we needed was there, and there were some little touches that were friendly and helpful. I'm used to a king-sized bed, so a queen always feels really small, but of course we knew that was what we booked. I should have brought my body pillow - there were plenty of cushions and pillows, but I do need one long pillow for my back and hips. The bedding was great. For those who like a firm bed, this one in the front garden room is on the plush and softer side. We didn't try the robes that were provided, but appreciated that they were there as an option.

Honestly, the only thing I wish were different was the cost - and that's just a sign of the times, nothing more. A one-night stay in a room with a bathroom and breakfast should not cost a quarter of a mortgage payment. But that's how it is, and this bed and breakfast was clean, nicely appointed, and the owners were friendly and accommodating.

I can’t imagine getting a better breakfast or coffees anywhere else. It was excellent

Everything about the place was lovely. We enjoyed ourselves very much however smaller softer pillows would be nice. Pillows for the bed large possibly down very nice pillows however, for sleeping it was a bit like sleeping with your head on a balloon. The bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom was luxurious.

Property was first class in all aspects. Location was convenient to everything we wanted to do. Breakfast was outstanding. Available parking was a real plus. Hosts were exceptionally accomodating as it related to our check out and flexible parking arrangement. Delicious breakfast! Everything was served so attractively. We parked our car in front and never drove anywhere, since everything was walking distance for us.

I really like the ability to walk into town and take in a play and dinner. Stratford is a very quaint town and I wish we had stayed longer.. The location is fantastic! Breakfast was enjoyable! The hosts were very friendly! HINT: Plan ahead and make reservations for dinner particularly if you are going in the summer and have a restaurant in mind.

This establishment was incredible. The hosts were kind, generous and friendly, and their attention to detail and expertise in the hospitality and culinary industries show. Cute and modern rooms with all the amenities, fabulous breakfast, and even a hot tub, within a short walking distance to theatres, shopping and dining, made this B&B an excellent choice.

Exceptional hosts - now Sharon and Eric! The food was amazing. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and smell-less which my allergies really appreciated! I also was thrilled with the refillable amenities and the darling individual condiment containers at breakfast!

It was expensive but everything in Stratford is!

The only off putting thing was the smell of sulphur in the tap and shower. Not sure if it was just the age of the pipes or if that’s an issue in Stratford?

Everything. The host and hostess were friendly and greeted us upon arrival. The room was stylish, clean, comfortable and quiet. The breakfast was delicious. It was made with whole ingredients and cooked by a chef, with beautiful presentation. The location was perfect, we could walk to the theater, gardens, lake, and restaurants. We are definitely coming back!

Lovely place to stay and relax in Stratford. Close to everything, a nice short walk to the shops. Everything was well thought out and breakfast was filling and very tasty.

The location was perfect: within a 15-minute walking distance of the city centre and all theatres. The owners were extremely welcoming and attention was paid to details (theatre-size water bottles in the rooms' fridges, toiletry amenities, etc). And the breakfast was just the best.

The location was excellent and the hosts very gracious. They gave us a map with our walking destinations identified and were helpful in programming my navigator for the trip home.

It was as expected. Our room was pleasant but not large. There was one very large room and three European size.

A perfect place to stay in Stratford. The hosts were very welcoming and very personable, the B&B was immaculate and beautifully decorated with an eye for little details that made our stay even better. The hosts are caterers, so as you can imagine breakfast was delicious. It was no problem to accommodate my friend’s gluten and egg free request. I would stay again in a heart beat.

Eric and Sharon were fantastic hosts. They went out of their way to ensure our stay was memorable, and even found a dinner reservation for us on New Year’s Eve when we thought we were out of luck. Their breakfast is top notch and entirely made in house, too. If you find yourself in Stratford, I highly recommend staying at Tranquil Days!
