Lovely clean modern room, beautifully furnished. Fabulous breakfast and very welcoming hosts.

Two very minor niggles. Our room didn't have much natural light and the road noise starts early but nothing a pair of earplugs didn't sort out.

Wonderful stay, great staff very accommodating, super breakfast. They made us feel a family. Couldn’t be better.

It’s a perfect B&B, located by the bus stop so you can just leave your car at the car park and get anywhere you need by a bus. The room was spacious and convenient. We loved our breakfasts, delicious and freshly made to order. The host were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

We had a wonderful stay here and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. The location is perfect, situated just a short walk from the town centre, making it easy to explore the shops, restaurants, bars, and local attractions without needing to use the car. Free parking is available. Our room was spotlessly clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The property has a warm, welcoming atmosphere from the moment you arrive. The Cumberland All-English breakfast was absolutely delicious and one of the highlights of our stay. It was freshly cooked, beautifully presented, and set us up perfectly for the day ahead. Louise and Shaun were exceptional hosts. They made us feel genuinely welcome from the moment we arrived and couldn't have been more friendly, helpful, or accommodating. Their hospitality really made our stay extra special. We are so pleased we chose to stay here and will definitely be booking again when we return. Thank you, Louise and Shaun, for making our visit so enjoyable—we're already looking forward to coming back!

Ideally situated with its own car park. The hostess, Louise was very welcoming and helpful. Our room was very clean and spacious. Breakfast was cooked to order and absolutely delicious.

If I had to be really picky, I would suggest a detachable shower head , but that is really all I could find fault with.

We had 3 nights stay and I must say this is a fantastic B&B. We had a good sized en-suite room which was really clean and fresh. We were warmly welcomed by the hosts. Breakfast was superb, can highly recommend the granola yoghurt fruit bowl and the poached eggs were perfect. The property has parking which is important in Ambleside as public parking is expensive. Friendly, welcoming, clean and a cracking breakfast....everything you need. We will be back.

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely guest house right in the heart of Ambleside. The location was perfect — central, convenient, and ideal for exploring the town and surrounding Lake District attractions. The guest house was exceptionally clean, beautifully maintained, and very comfortable throughout our stay. Everything was thoughtfully arranged, creating a warm and relaxing atmosphere. A special thank you to Louise and Shaun, who were incredibly kind, welcoming, and thoughtful hosts. Their lovely gesture during our stay made us feel truly cared for and added a personal touch that we really appreciated. It was also very convenient for travel, with shops, restaurants, and transport links all nearby. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Ambleside — we would definitely stay again!

We felt so welcome as soon as we entered. The staff couldn't do enough to help. The room was fantastic: clean, good size and the shower/bathroom was excellent. We didn't opt in for breakfast but with we did as it looked and smelt amazing!

Great location for the town with many bars, restaurants and shops within yards. Excellent breakfast and lovely service. The room was very good. Overall it was a lovely place to stay and would highly recommend it.

Would recommend, I was only there for one night but the owners were beyond friendly and accommodating. Breakfast options were good and it was delicious. Proximity to Ambleside centre and bus stop was very appreciated after a long day hiking.

Beautiful guest house with wonderful, friendly hosts. The guest house is in a fantastic, walking location of Ambleside. We loved our stay here and will definitely be returning! Lacet House is ideally located for a stay in Ambleside, just a short walk from the town centre, cinemas and restaurants.The accommodation was very comfortable and the breakfast was great. Most importantly Louise and Sean, our hosts, were very friendly, attentive and welcoming. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to recommend.

Parking was extremely tight and you had to juggle the cars. But at least there was parking which I imagine is of a premium up there.

The location was excellent, Louise was an excellent host and looked after us well. The room we had was very big and spacious and we were very happy with our stay. Breakfast was so tasty too and was filling and set us up for the day!

Lacet House is a gem in the centre of Ambleside. With private parking, it was easy to find. Both Sean and Louise were amazing hosts and nothing was too much trouble. The room was clean, had lovely facilities including access to Netflix. It was immaculately clean and the breakfast was delicious - I would defiantely recommend this for your stay.

There really wasn’t anything we didn’t like about Lacet House. If I had to pick fault with anything it was that during the first night the temperature dropped and it was a little cold - perhaps some blankets would have been nice but I just put on an extra layer in bed for the second night.

We loved everything about this B&B. The rooms were spacious and clean, the breakfast was really nice (my wife especially loved the fresh filter coffee) and the owners Louise and Shaun were so friendly and welcoming.

Really comfortable clean room with a large, hot shower. Friendly hosts who were on hand. We stayed room only but the breakfasts looked good and nice dining room. Great location and we were able to park at the rear.

We loved our stay here. The location is perfect – right in the heart of Ambleside with everything just a short stroll away. Our room was full of character and felt really cosy, with quality fittings throughout and a very comfy bed. The shower was excellent, and we had lovely views over the park. Despite being so central, the room was quiet and peaceful. The hosts were warm and welcoming, and having parking on site was a big bonus. Highly recommend!

I could not recommend the Lacet House more. Louise & Shaun made our stay really exceptional, we were not expecting it. They were very kind and very helpful. Our room was very clean and comfortable. We used one parking spot around the back of the building. The breakfast was delicious made by Shaun, and Louise was so friendly and caring she helped us plan our hike one of the days. I was there with my 2 friends and both Shaun & Louise remembered all 3 of our names for the duration of our stay. They made us feel so welcome, we would definitely stay here again. The location is also great, the whole town is very walkable.

Location - near bus interchange, so easy to get everywhere in the Lake District. Amenities were good and breakfast was very good. The hosts were very hospitable.

The only slight negative was the parking, very tight car parking but they actually provide parking and its free, that in Ambleside is hard to come by so who can complain!

Two amazing full English breakfast in a row which fueled us for the whole day! The location was great with easy access to everything, we used Ambleside as a base for our walks and only 10 mins walk to the Lake. The bed and duvet was very comfortable, we both managed to get two good nights of sleep and enjoy a relaxed weekend in the Ambleside.

As the accommodation was next to one of the main road, it can be slightly noisy sometimes but once it's past 9pm it was all quiet and was able to get a good night of sleep.

Lacet house is at the centre of Ambleside making it a great location for walks in the nearby aerea. The owners were friendly and made us feel welcomed and at home in their B&B. The breakfast was great and with a lots of options. Highly recommend staying here!
