The Lansbury Heritage Hotel and Spa By Sunday - Canary Wharf London

The Landsbury is a absolutely nice and clean hotel. Especially the personal such as Harsh, were absolutely professional and fulfilled everything. Another important thing is, that the hotel is next to the banks-district where you can go out, have a drink or really good food. I can recommend the Landsbury at any time.

The location and friendliness of staff was great but we stayed in a ground floor room that had an adjoining door to the next room which meant it was very loud. We could hear the conversations of the neighbouring room. The pictures online do not match the hotel in real life, the area around the hotel is very run down and felt a little unsafe to step outside the hotel at night. The interior of the room was dated, the wall paper was peeling away from the under window wall, the heating system was very noisy through the night and the carpets were stained. There were no images online which showed this type of room so a bit misleading.

Lovely hotel with friendly and helpful staff. We were upgraded to a suite and the room was large while the comfortable bed was huge! Very good breakfast.

The staff were very helpful especially mustafa at the reception , however the hotel calls itself spa , but to get a booking is subjective to availability , so no point booking the hotel for the spa , but the building and staff and stay was very comfortable

Was told on check in the bar and restaurant were closed but wasn’t advised prior, we had the NTA to attend and obviously wanted drinks and food before, ended up eating at the O2 cost a fortune and rubbish food, at breakfast the next morning, arrived at 9.10 hot food had practically run out, no hash browns had to wait for bacon and eggs to be cooked, frozen bread was brought out, no fruit left.. coffee warm out the machine

Restaurant and bar were closed with no prior warning during our stay. Breakfast we gave a time we would go down, but was next to nothing out. Would replace items but something else empty so had to do breakfast in relay… IE 4 eggs bought out but 6 tables of people eating, obviously doesn’t last long.

Me and my Husband stayed to celebrate our 10th anniversary and used the hotel as a base for the 02. It was within easy reach of the 02 and also perfectly situated to commute into the city for the day. Staff were attentive, the balloons in our room were a lovely gesture! The room was spotlessly clean and a beautiful, fresh room (tower room) with a super king sleigh bed which was so comfortable!! Facilities included a tassimo machine and cold bottled water provided for our arrival.

There was absolutely nothing to dislike! The staff were amazing and couldn't do enough for us!

The reception staff was excellent, Hash was fab even lent me his personal umbrella. Breakfast was lovely.

Everything!! Reception staff always have time to talk yo you here and make you feel welcome. Rooms are exceptionally clean and beds are comfortable! Spa areas are calming and clean with lovely staff. Location is a 4 minute walk from Poplar DLR Station and takes 20 minutes from Bank Station to hotel.

The restaurant and bar were closed for a refurb. At no point until arrival was I informed of this. The chap at reception did not know of anywhere we could eat nearby. Very poor!

The reception staff were absolutely lovely. We felt cared for with genuine concern from the moment we checked in; communication was clear, and there were no issues whatsoever. The hotel's décor didn't disappoint either - we were given a beautiful, spotless room. The property closes the entrance for the night, which provided an extra sense of safety, and its location is a huge plus, too - just five minutes from the DLR station and the bus stop. If we ever return to London, we’ll definitely come back here.

The walls between the rooms could use a bit more soundproofing. We didn't encounter any noisy neighbors, but I think it would have been bothersome if we had.

For the price we paid it was excellent value. Located about 15 minutes from Canary Wharf. Beautiful hotel ( with a lot of history) It was beautifully appointed. Comfortable bed. Great service. Very fast WiFi. Beautiful marbled bathroom. We couldn’t fault it at all. Just a shame that on the day we went the restaurant was being refurbished and we had very generous breakfast in our rooms

The staff were excellent and catered for our needs and my room was extremely comfortable and clean out side court yard relaxing and quiet nice seating area. The hotel was of a high standard.

We had a gorgeous split level room with mezzanine bedroom. It was lovely and quirky, only slight negative was there was no carpet or runner on the stairs which made them feel slightly slippery. It is a very minor point to note and didn’t distract from our stay. For those not stable on their feet, it could be an issue. Don’t let this put you off it’s a very small personal observation.

The staff were exceptional. Harsh on reception when I arrived was welcoming and extremely helpful. As was mustafa when I checked out in the morning. The staff were so good I have already booked further stays and recommended the hotel to friends who have also booked stays for Christmas time. I could not recommend this hotel more highly.

Maybe the bar to stay open later as I came back to the hotel after my evening out after ten and it was closed. Also breakfast in bed would be a nice option.

The hotel itself is beautiful, the room itself was very spacious and clean. Bed was very comfortable too. The staff were incredible, from Harsh at reception being so welcoming & accomodating to the housekeeping team, everyone was so friendly and helpful. 10/10 stay, would highly recommend!

La sala da pranzo è comoda, serve colazione all’inglese e cucina Indiana agli altri pasti; noi l’abbiamo visitata una volta per cena e ci è piaciuto (molto spicy quindi regolatevi). Lo staff è molto cortese e disponibile, è venuto incontro alle nostre richieste.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel. Although it’s days Canary Wharf, I personally wouldn’t class the location as Canary Wharf, I’d say it’s more Poplar. That said, the location was local and convenient for us, and I would happily stay here again. The hotel itself is beautiful. The grand entrance, high ceilings and lovely interior immediately made a great impression. Our room was equally lovely, with high ceilings, beautifully decorated, great blackout curtains and a really clean bathroom. I loved being able to control the room lighting from the TV. I had mentioned beforehand that it would be my partner’s birthday, and walking into the room we were both pleasantly surprised and really happy to see the thoughtful little birthday decorations, which was a lovely touch. We didn’t eat at the hotel, although we did have a look around the restaurant, which was equally well decorated, and the staff were lovely and welcoming. We also didn’t use the spa facilities, but we had a look around and everything appeared clean. The facilities are fairly compact, with a sauna, steam room and a relatively small gym, but they’re practical and perfectly adequate if you just want the basics. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is beautiful, comfortable and convenient, and I’d definitely stay here again.

The only downside was the number of people who appeared to be drug addicts pacing up and down the surrounding street. They weren’t causing us any harm, but it did make the immediate area feel a little less pleasant than the hotel itself.

Poor morals and customer treatment from this hotel. We were given a room with one window curtain panel and so woken up with first light. This was a celebratory night away from home and our baby and we wanted to sleep in. Upon complaining, we were told that the other panel was being repaired and that they were sorry; they should have pre-warned us. The hotel offered 30% off our next stay. Upon being pushed they offered 30% refund. Not good enough not to get the basics right and terrible customer service after the fact.

Bed linen was dirty but masked by the decorative ensemble provided for the birthday. Spa facilities was poor. Spa facilities are not as advertised online. Inadequate staffing and knowledge of spa facilities. Lack of information upon checking in to say spa facilities were inoperable, not giving the customer an opportunity to cancel and go elsewhere. Staff were not attentive and more or less invisible due to watching the world cup. Staff lacked attention to detail. No hot water in the evening for shower only in the morning. This was communicated only for the morning by reception but failed to inform about the evening. Which hotel has inadequate hot water services? Car parking was non existent!! However looking out from the top floor, I noticed several empty spaces. Poor customer service and was challenging finding an intelligible member of staff who was honest. Too much dramatics when they are fully aware about their ineffective spa facilities. Health and safety hazards with abandoned trolleys blocking lift access, cleaning materials and tools left on stairwells/emergency exits. The attention given to other guests whereas we were left abandoned, unnoticed and invisbile as if our needs didn't matter.

the hotel is in a good condition: the rooms are modern and well kept clean. there is also services like the sauna and steam room you can use for free, which is really nice. i found the staff helpful and very friendly: you can whatsapp them with questions or services on their whatsapp or go to reception 24/7. the tube is nearby so you can go to other places. there´s a deposit for the room, but they transferred the money fast back on the same day when i went away. it´s a safe and comfortable place to stay at.

it´s in a quiet neighborhood as you may know, so there´s nothing much to explore there. with the tube you can easily go anywhere though. the hotel definitely can make you reset and refresh after a day in the busy city of london.

I booked this hotel through Trip.com within hours of booking I noticed I had booked Sept instead of August. I rang the hotel and was told I was being transferred and then it went dead, I rang back and they told me there was nothing they could do and speak to Trip.com. So I contacted them (still within hours of booking) and requested modification to the date . This was rejected by the hotel , I then requested a cancellation and this was rejected again by the hotel. I checked and they had availability on the date I requested and was the same price I had paid . I offered to pay a charge for moving the booking but was told no again. Mind you when you book it says if you do not show you will charged a cancellation fee . I understand my part in this I made an error . However they have availability on the date I needed and it was requested HOURS after I made the booking. I emailed them using the email on their website and it bounced back. Trip.Com attempted to contact them multiple times on my behalf with no success. This hotels customer service is shocking and unhelpful, baring in mind I do not need it, I may still be charged a cancellation fee .

Clean, well kept and decorated exceptionally well. Air con in the rooms which helped with the heat! Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly and couldn’t do enough for you.

The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was big enough that it didnt feel cramped if two people where in it

The bar doesnt open very late, so if you want drinks or food late at night you either need to bring it in with you or get it delivered by one of the apps

Location is quiet and pleasant, not sure what else is nearby as only stayed one night and were out elsewhere for that evening. Once you work out how to get back to Canary Wharf tube it’s easy… DLR even closer. Staff were friendly. Property is nicely decorated and clean. Didn’t have food there so can’t comment on the dining room or spa etc

Not much to be honest. Only slight gripe is the room controls for lights in particular are done via the app on the TV and that is fiddly and not very user friendly.. there’s nothing wrong with a traditional light switch guys. Also the app interface didn’t fit the TV screen properly so couldn’t easily use it. Oh and a few more sugars in the tea/coffee stash would be good but these are minor things!
