The bathroom does not have nice smell. I suggest housekeeping open windows of bathroom and use nice smelling cleaning materials. Very limited channels to watch on TV

Reviewed Jul 2, 2026I stayed here previously and was very happy, unfortunately things deteriorated since then.
The electricity is on a daily load, but no number is supplied to purchase more, so I was every morning without electricity. Not sure how is it possible for one person to use all the electricity in one day if only a laptop is on, phones charged once during the day and the kettle used. When I enquire about this I received a rude response and the lady did not take any further calls from me. Very disappointed, the unit was also not clean and they shoud invest in a new mattress. This is very sad as I liked to stay there and did several times before.

Staff requested a deposit of R 1 800.00 and when I checked out they mentioned that they didn't have enough petty cash available for the refund and the office would be in touch. More than a month later the office is ignoring my calls and emails.

Aircon wasn't working properly. There was mold on the bathroom ceiling and shower. The kitchen tap was loose. There was a cocoroach in the kitchen area when we checked in, I had to ask for Doom. I was not impressed at all.

False advertisement, they advertise stunning 1bed room for R650, when you check it, you are allocated a depressing dirty bachelor with no stove, the security is the one checking you in, they demand extra money, they call it security money in case you mess up something, There is a fine print, do not sign it, ask for a copy or refuse to pay that extra cost. I was not given copy so i refused to pay it, the room was depressing. Upon checking out i asked the receptionist a quatation for a month on 1bed room, she took my email and promised to send me, she never did, it was much expected, unprofessional.

Reviewed Jun 10, 2026Conveniently located close to Morningside shopping centre, which is a walking distance. Easily accessible and in a safe location. The staff is somewhat friendly, security is great. You have staff to assist you with late check-in and early check-out 👌 No issue with refunding the breakage deposit as well. Room has wifi, aircon, hot water although on day one there was no hot water the entire morning.
The room was being cleaned without any disinfectant at all, which is concerning because some guests could be carrying diseases and that would cause unnecessary issues. Bedding wasn't changed at all during the stay (4 nights) No coffee/tea/sugar refill. Might want to look at these, such a big place but needs a little more care.

Loose charging portals, we had to disconnect the TV and put it on the floor so we could charge on that portal. No smart TV so we couldn't stream nor use the TV. We had to rely on our laptops. Water not warm enough from Day2 to shower nor take a bath. Had to heat up water on the kettle and dry bath, not pleasant nor cool at all.

Heather assisted us with the check-in and gave us a further discount on a room upgrade. When i went to go pay for the room upgrade the next day Heather wasn't on duty and another lady, Faith didn't want to honor the discount Heather gave us and we were asked to pay in full, she wasn't very helpful and understanding. The toilet paper they left wasnt enough for 2 people for 3 nights, was for one person that went once, had to get others. On the 3rd morning we didn't have electricity for a few hours since 4am the morning till about 9am. Overall not very happy experience.
