Mare Nostrum Santo

Die Gastgeber waren sehr nett, wir haben sogar ein Upgrade bekommen. Am Nachmittag haben wir am Pool gegessen, das war sehr fein. Die Lage ist auch sehr gut - wenn man ein Auto hat.

Das Hotel wurde mit Liebe eingerichtet vor (ca 10 Jahren). Leider hatten wir den Eindruck, dass seitdem nicht viel gemacht wurde. Die Betten waren durchgelegen, Schränkchen waren abgeplatzt, die Liegen im Pool verwittert... Leider gab es auch keinen Filter, der das Salzwasser ausgefiltert hat, das hatten wir in einem anderen Hotel auf der Insel viel besser erlebt. Dadurch waren auch die Armaturen angegriffen vom Rost. Das Frühstück hat leider überhaupt nicht dem entsprochen, was wir erwartet ( und auf den Bildern gesehen) hatten.

Single best experience of the whole trip. I wish I could remember their names, they were the nicest Greek people we interacted with the entire time. They offer a 'taxi service' at a discount that we used a few times - it was just the male host (I can't recall his name) giving us rides and picking us up. But it was incredibly useful and he's super friendly even with his limited English. The room was great, the room service was prompt with delicious food, the pool was clean as well as all of the facilities, inside and outside the room, the view was astonishing, everything was perfect. They even had a cute system of lights outside the bungalow to indicate if you wanted to have your room cleaned. 10/10, would stay again.

Els bungalows són petita i per pujar al pis de dalt hi ha una escala molt empinada que segons el teu estat físic allà no hi puges. Les instal.lacions ( com la piscina) estan una mica deteriorades

Es un sitio que sorprende aunque está un poco aislado, las fotos hacen justicia a las instalaciones, personal muy amable y atento. Muy buen desayuno, aconsejable un buen baño de la piscina con musiquita de fondo mientras se pone el sol. Los bungalows están bastante bien aunque un poco justos para, como fue en nuestro caso, cuatro personas, sobre todo para dejar las maletas y la ropa de las mismas. Aunque está un poco separado de la ciudad de oia para nosotros fue perfecto, buscábamos alejarnos de la masificación de la ciudad, teníamos coche, pudimos visitarla y recorrer la isla.

We had a fantastic stay at Mare Nostrum Santo. The property was absolutely beautiful, peaceful and very well maintained. The location in Oia was perfect, giving us a relaxing place to stay while still being close enough to explore everything the area has to offer. The accommodation was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The outdoor areas and pool were particularly beautiful and made the stay feel really special. The hosts were also welcoming and helpful throughout our visit. We genuinely loved our time here and would happily stay again.

Honestly, there wasn't much we didn't like. Everything was as expected and we really enjoyed our stay. If anything, we just wish we could have stayed longer!

És un allotjament encantador, molt complert i amb un esmorzar espectacular. Els propietaris son molt amables. El bungalow té tot el necessari i les instalacions estan molt ben cuidades.

L'ambiente tranquillo, lo staff super disponibile ha accontentato ogni nostra esigenza col sorriso. La struttura è molto curata, accogliente e pulita in ogni angolo. Anche il cibo era ottimo e viene data la possibilità di mangiare e bere ovunque all'interno della struttura.

L'unica cosa un po' scomoda è la posizione isolata. A piedi si può comunque raggiungere Oia in 25 minuti, anche se la strada è un po' trafficata. Se si sceglie di noleggiare un mezzo o tramite il servizio di transfer della struttura (quest'ultimo con tariffe oneste rispetto ai taxi dell'isola) non si hanno assolutamente problemi a spostarsi per tutta l'isola.

The location is excellent, very close to the beach, and there is public transportation nearby. If you prefer private transportation, they also provide that service. The service is outstanding they are incredibly attentive and genuinely go above and beyond to make sure you feel comfortable. Everything is super convenient and comfortable. They are also pet friendly, which was a huge plus for me. I traveled with my little cat, and he enjoyed the experience just as much as I did💗

Υπέροχοι και φιλόξενοι άνθρωποι, τα δωμάτια ήταν άψογα και πανέμορφα και οι οικοδεσπότες πολύ εξυπηρετικοί ανά πάσα στιγμή. Αν υπήρχε παραπάνω βαθμολογία θα έβαζα. Σίγουρα θα το ξαναεπισκεφτώ!!

Location is great (if you have a car). Breakfast options were very little, but what there was, was fresh and nice.

- Cold white light (instead of warm yellowlight) in the room. - We arrived in the morning (2 hours before check-in time), there was a pool with poolbeds where we could rest a bit until 3pm, but we had to pay if want to use it (because only free for guests and until checkin we were not considered guests! - Parents (double) bed is upstairs and the stairs are very small, which was not comfy. - Toilet/Bathroom could not be locked because the key was nog given.

Hébergement individuel tout équipé, bien aménagé avec climatisation. Service petit dej en chambre possible. Hotel avec piscine et très belle vue sur la mer et sur le coucher du soleil. Les gérants sont très gentils, accueillants et bienveillants pour leurs hôtes. Notre fille qui fêtait ses 20 ans a même eu pour l'occasion un fondant au chocolat avec bougie au petit déjeuner. Séjour inoubliable à santorin.

Μείναμε απόλυτα ευχαριστημένοι από τη διαμονή μας! Το κατάλυμα ήταν πεντακάθαρο, όμορφο και πολύ προσεγμένο, σε μια ήσυχη τοποθεσία, ιδανική για χαλάρωση. Αυτό όμως που έκανε τη διαμονή μας ακόμη πιο ξεχωριστή ήταν οι ιδιοκτήτες. Είναι πραγματικά υπέροχοι άνθρωποι πάρα πολύ φιλικοί, ευγενικοί, χαμογελαστοί και εξυπηρετικοί. Από την πρώτη στιγμή μας έκαναν να αισθανθούμε πολύ άνετα και οικεία, ήταν πάντα πρόθυμοι να μας βοηθήσουν σε οτιδήποτε χρειαστήκαμε και έδειχναν πραγματικό ενδιαφέρον ώστε να περάσουμε όσο καλύτερα γίνεται. Η φιλοξενία τους ήταν από τα πράγματα που θα θυμόμαστε περισσότερο από το ταξίδι μας! Περάσαμε υπέροχα και φύγαμε με τις καλύτερες εντυπώσεις. Θα το επιλέγαμε ξανά χωρίς δεύτερη σκέψη και το προτείνουμε ανεπιφύλακτα!!!❤️❤️

O alojamento é de muito bom gosto. Privacidade,.a cama super confortável. Os anfitriões muito simpáticos e prestativos. Ajudaram no transfer às 23h30 sem qualquer reserva, assim como no aluguer do carro e transfer para a cidade. Estivemos pouco tempo mas ficou a vontade de usufruir mais do espaço e da piscina.

O local é bom para quem apenas vem para descansar, pois fica longe dos pontos de interesse. Será necessário carro/mota para se deslocar.

The mattress could use a topper to be a little more comfortable and I did have a slight ant infestation (despite not eating in bed) but staff were amazing at resolving the issue immediately.

The property is exactly as pictured, located in a quiet area of Oia. The staff were all lovely and super helpful. The hotel offers taxi services to Oia which was super helpful. Would recommend!

Il soggiorno è stato ottimo, staff super accogliente e gentile per ogni evenienza, servizi ottimi (minimarket, piscina, ristorante, pulizia giornaliera) e ottima posizione (a pochi minuti in macchina da Oia e a 20 minuti dall'aeroporto).

Le uniche note negative sono l'acqua del rubinetto/doccia leggermente salete e il lavandino del bagno che dopo qualche minuto di acqua corrente si riepiva d'acqua e non scendeva per qualche minuto.

La struttura è bellissima e in una posizione strategica per raggiungere Oia. Il personale preparatissimo e molto disponibile.

Our stay at Mare Nostrum Santo was absolutely fantastic, and it exceeded our expectations in every way. If you're looking for a peaceful place to experience Santorini while still being close to Oia, this is the perfect choice. The breakfast was one of the highlights of every morning. Everything was incredibly fresh, with a wide variety of options to suit every taste. There was delicious authentic Greek yogurt, several kinds of local Greek cheeses, fresh bread and pastries, fruit, eggs, cereals, juices, and excellent coffee with different choices available. Every morning we looked forward to breakfast because the quality was consistently outstanding. The hospitality deserves special recognition. Violeta is one of the warmest and most welcoming hosts we've ever met. She is always smiling, genuinely kind, attentive, and happy to help with anything you need. She made us feel like valued guests rather than just visitors. Whether we needed recommendations, assistance, or simply had a question, she was always available with a positive attitude. The entire team goes above and beyond to make your stay as comfortable as possible. A wonderful surprise was that they even provided us with a beach umbrella free of charge, which was incredibly useful while exploring Santorini's beautiful beaches. It's these thoughtful little touches that really make a difference and show how much they care about their guests. Our bungalow was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. It was cleaned meticulously every day, and everything was well maintained. The room had plenty of space to relax after a day of exploring, the bed was comfortable, and the peaceful atmosphere made it easy to unwind. The location is another major advantage. It's quiet and away from the crowds, allowing you to truly relax, yet it's only about a 20-minute walk to the center of Oia. We actually enjoyed the walk because it offers beautiful views and lets you avoid the noise.

Que decir... todo fue mágico!! la hospitalidad de violet y giannis, hicieron nuestros días de vacaciones simplemente perfectos, cómodos, accesibles y livianos. Todo lo proveen: tienes hambre, ok, pueden cocinarte, pueden darte el desayuno en tu bungalow, quieres comer en la piscina? todo está bien.. necesitas transfer para ir de un sitio al otro? lo tienes hecho con ellos... quieres rentar algo? también puedes hacerlo.. simplemente gracias por tanta amabilidad y comodidad! Sin duda volveríamos una y mil veces más. para parejas y familia el ambiente es único.

Mare Nostrum Santo is a great hotel. Good price-quality ratio. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere, quiet location, 10 min, by car /atv to Oia. The rooms and swimming pool are small but convinient. Breakfast was also nice, you had to choose a "main egg based dish" (e.g. ommelette, scrumbled, etc) from the selection they offer. You could also add fruit, yogurt, toast, etc,.What we enjoyed the most (and truly sets this hotel apart) was the exceptional customer service we received from violeta and yannis. They accomodated everything we requested with a smile, gave us recommendations for what to do in Santorini and offered very fair prizes for the pick ups, transportation and late check out. If we come back to Santorini, we'll come back to this hotel because of them :) we also loved the terraze in front of the hotel where you can see the beautiful sunset.

While we enjoyed the quiet location, there's almost nothing around, for example restaurants, so you have to rely on the hotel

Además, uno de los grandes regalos del lugar son sus atardeceres: espectaculares, directos sobre el mar y con la tranquilidad de poder disfrutarlos prácticamente sin gente. Un auténtico lujo. Se duerme de maravilla, el ambiente es tranquilo y el descanso está garantizado. La comida está exquisita, todo cuidado al detalle y con muchísima calidad. Pero si algo marca la diferencia es el trato: súper cercano, atento y familiar. Desde el primer momento te hacen sentir como en casa y están siempre disponibles para ayudarte en cualquier cosa que necesites. La parada de bus esta a 2 minutos para ir a Oia o Fira. Los bungalós son muy privados, bonitos y cómodos. Nos hubiera gustado haber podido disfrutar más del hotel. Definitivamente valía la pena. Todo muy limpio y la cama cómoda. El personal es increíble, muy amable y servicial. Nos ayudaron con la organización del transporte hacia el hotel y en general en la isla y hasta obtuvimos muy buenos precios y descuentos con el transporte. Siempre estuvieron atentos. Definitivamente regresaríamos, muy recomendado!

Santorini e’ sicuramente garanzia di vacanza romantica, meravigliosi tramonti, scorci da cartolina, ma non altrettanto scontato e’ trovare una struttura ricettiva che abbia uno standard elevato ad un prezzo giusto. Questo è sicuramente Mare Nostrum Santo: bungalow accoglienti dove non manca nulla, un’aria relax con piscina dove rilassarsi durante il soggiorno, un senso dell’ospitalità da parte di Violet e Yannis da 5 stelle. La struttura, oltre alla colazione compresa nel prezzo, offre anche la possibilità di pranzare e cenare ad ottimi prezzi. Per chi ama amarsi consiglio vivamente Mare Nostrum Santo.

Non si potrebbe chiedere di meglio a questo prezzo.

The bed was extremely hard. The photos show the place closer to the ocean than it really is. Across the street. The waterfront is all rocks and not well kept.

Super schöne Unterkunft !! Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Wenn man diese Unterkunft bucht, braucht man aber unbedingt ein Mietauto. Dies kann man ohne Probleme über das Hotel buchen.

Nos agradó mucho la atención, siempre muy amables y serviciales. Nos gustó su ubicación ya que buscamos descansar y estaba alejado del ruido, fue positivo.

Solo no nos gustó que la piscina estaba sucia y claro no estaba temperada , así como el hidromasaje muy sucia el agua. Con respecto al servicio de masaje que ofrecieron, terrible, no lo vale, la persona que lo ejecutó tenía las manos carrasposas, lastimaba la piel al pasar las manos y era un masaje full body y casi toda la hora paso en la espalda y no en lo demás del cuerpo , aparte que no se sintió relajante.

Les logements sont très bien agencés. Nous avions le dernier au fond celui avec jacuzzi. Tout est propre, le personnel est accueillant et agréable. Nous avons eu un soucis avec le matelas et le jour même ça été réglé.

Les matelas sont biens car récents, mais le premier qu’on a eu on sentait les ressorts, je pense, un surmatelas aurait été parfait. Ils nous l’ont changé pour un mémoire de forme tout neuf c’est génial et gentil mais très très ferme. Hélas.

We loved staying here because of the wonderful kind staff. They were always there to help you with booking rentals and tours or anything you might need and went out of their way to assist us. The pool was relaxing and the location is close to Oia and right next to a bus stop stop, however, it I would still recommend guests to have a rental car or atv on Santorini to get around more conveniently and fully explore the island.

It was less than 2 mi from the center of Oia but more important had a parking lot. They were individual bungalows. Loved the candied orange slices and cherries at breakfast. The pool looked lovely but unfortunately in mid-October it was too cold & windy for me.

There was a kitchen with an electric tea kettle but the handle was not heat resistant and did not shut off when it reached boiling point. Practically scalded my hand. That's a real hazard. They did not provide any tea bags, coffee, creamer etc which, which I found unusual as other hotels do. The wifi kept cutting out and the morning I was leaving I couldn't even get onto Maps.com to plan my route back to Fera. The connection was too slow. It was not waterfront property as advertised. It was waterview from a distance. They were individual bungalows lined up one behind the other. The parking lot was at the edge of the property next to the highway. There was no beach, it was more of a cliff overlooking the beach. There may have been an accessible beach further down the road. It was not 4 star.

Staff were amazing! Food was lovely; room was quiet and quaint, with a patio; bathroom and kitchenette were great. Across the road was a little platform to watch the sunset over the ocean and beach — it was so beautiful!

La proprietaria era veramente gentile e disponibile. I bungalow molto puliti e ripuliti ogni giorno che siamo stati li, a disposizione avevamo shampoo, bagno schiuma, crema, spazzolini nuovi e dentifricio e addirittura un kit per la rasatura. In cucina avevamo tutto il necessario base come sale, pepe e sapone per i piatti. Tutto veramente perfetto!!

Se proprio vogliamo trovare una pecca le scale del soppalco dove dormire sono un po ripide.

The hosts were friendly. Gianni picked us up at the port and was polite . His wife Violet worked the desk and lovely . Had a solid breakfast and ate at the hotel as it was at least a 20 minute walk into Oia. Close to the beach over the road and could see the sea and the mountains behind the rooms .

For us just a little too far from Oia on foot … hadn’t realised that when booked however the sea view and looking up at the mountains made up for it. I think for us in our 60’s would have preferred a single story unit as opposed to upstairs bedroom which was rather small

We had an amazing stay at Hotel Mare Nostrum in Santorini! The owner and driver were incredibly friendly and always ready to help. They gave us great advice on things to do, organized a wonderful cruise, and even helped us rent a car and a quad—essential for exploring the island. They were also kind enough to assist our friends, even though they weren’t staying at the hotel (if we had known them earlier, we all would have booked here!). The hotel isn’t right in the busy center of Oia, which was perfect for us to enjoy a calmer, more relaxing atmosphere. From the rooftop garden, you can easily watch both sunrise and sunset—truly peaceful and unforgettable. Overall, a more economical and serene choice than staying in the crowded Oia center. Highly recommended!
