Kyla and Martin were very welcoming. The room and en-suite were very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was beautifully cooked and presented with lots of delicious dishes to choose from. The heated pool was delightful particularly as the weather was very warm. Kyla was very helpful recommending places to visit. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would definitely return if we visited Torquay in the future.

We wasn’t able to open the second window in our bedroom but there was a fan in our room.

This is a beautiful hotel where every attention to detail has been paid from the wonderful white fluffy towels to the fabulous breakfasts freshly made to order. A bonus is the fabulous pool, set in a stunning garden which is both peaceful and relaxing. A lovely suntrap for lazing, reading books, taking a dip or simply doing nothing. All in all this is an amazing gem hidden in the hills very close to Torquay and close to other beautiful nearby villages and very good restaurants.

It’s near impossible to find a comment. The charge point in the car park is a welcome asset, tho tricky to use!

Everything! We had such a great stay on our first trip to Torquay…and the Devon made it special. Our hosts could not do enough for us. Answered pre visit question, good parking, nice welcome made it a great start. The room was spotless and comfortable…even in the heat, the room was still comfortable. The room was big, well cared for and pleasant. The breakfast…I looked forward to breakfast everyday. Everyone at the b&b pretty much eats together and gives people a chance to talk…something that is missing in society these days. Add to that superb food, great options and the “joke of the day”…breakfast was more of an event than just a brekkie. Walking into town was a little hilly…but not too bad. But again, our hosts gave us hints and tips on routes. Finally, the pool. This is why we booked and we were not disappointed. It is heated, spotless and surrounded by sunny and shady areas with sun beds and chairs. The host clearly take huge pride in their property and what they do-and this makes for a perfect please to stay.

Kyla and Martin were very welcoming everywhere was nice and clean .Breakfast is freshly cooked to order and alot to choose from and a joke of the day thrown in as well.The Origin room was presented in a very clean manner and a very comfy bed . The pool area was beautiful nice and quiet and there is no early wake ups to get your bed by the pool .The gardens are well tendered there is also bat and balls to play in the pool along with the duck . They even kept my knee freezer pack in the freezer after recovering from a knee replacement. There are alot of rubber ducks situed which is very amusing.

This is definitely the best place we have stayed at in a long time.Everything was at the highest level: perfect cleanliness, a cozy atmosphere, delicious food, and incredible welcoming hosts. You truly feel at home here- comfortable, relaxed, and cared for.

Absolutely lovely place to spend a few days in Torquay. Martin and Kyla are exceptional hosts making you feel welcome without overwhelming you. The hotel is very clean and extremely comfortable with a lovely big bedroom and lots of nice touches from the biscuits to the toiletries. Breakfast was delicious with a wide range of options. It is only a short walk down to the seafront but the hotel is in a quiet road away from any noise. We loved the pool to cool off when the weather eventually got hot!

We would highly recommend this hotel. It is immaculate and the owners are lovely and nothing is too much trouble. The terrace and pool are of a high standard and has the Mediterranean feel. The hotel is very clean. The breakfast was outstanding, fresh and good quality. Our first visit but definitely won’t be the last . Love the plastic ducks , hidden all around the hotel.

Kyla and Martin were fabulous from the start to the finish. We arrived very early and our room was ready and available which was fantastic. They kindly upgraded our room too free of charge. The room was so lovely and the bed was very comfortable. The location is great a bit hilly walking back but its not for long. The breakfast was the best I've ever had at a hotel, its massive!! The heated pool is the best especially in this nice weather, we felt like we were abroad. If I had to down anything it would be the sunbeds...they could do with cushions as they are a bit uncomfortable on your back. But thats no issue. We had the best time and can't wait to return in the future!! Highly recommend 👌

Beautifully decorated inside, the pool area is really lovely. Martin and Kyla were brilliant hosts, very friendly, helpful and nothing was too much for them. We had a fantastic long weekend there.

Everything was excellent and Martin & Kyla were so welcoming and hospitable. Rooms were clean and quiet. The breakfasts were amazing and freshly cooked. We wish we’d had the chance to use the heated pool and area which looked fab. Highly recommended.

2 night stay the most comfortable nights sleep I've had for along time. Quality breakfast. Highly recommended stay!

Owners were friendly and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. They allowed takeaways in the property and provided plates and cutlery to use, haven’t seen this before. Rooms were well equipped too. There is a minibar, hairdryer, tea/coffee topped up daily and a very comfortable bed.

This was my first stay at The Devon Court and I'll definitely be going back. I couldn't fault a thing. It is an absolutely outstanding bed and breakfast. Kyra is a wonderful host with a very kind and friendly nature and Martin keeps everyone happy with his delicious breakfasts. The Devon Court is very clean throughout and comfortable in its bedrooms and shared spaces with a great bar and lounge area where you can relax with a drink. It has a lovely outlook onto the private swimming pool which was closed for my stay in March. The bedrooms have comfortable beds and fresh white large towels and cosy, warm bedding. A good assortment of excellent quality teas and coffee with delicious biscuits are also on offer with decent sized mugs. There was also a small fridge and mini bar in my room with an accompanying price list.

Hill back up from the front. Husband has COPD and found it a struggle. Minor point but TV was on a side wall and you couldn't really see it from the bed and only one chair to enable you to watch it.

Everything about my stay was exceptional - early check in and even gave me a lift to the station so I did not miss my train. Breakfast was lovely with a lot of choice. The room was clean and comfortable with toiletries provided as well as a good selection of drinks and biscuits. The bed was really comfortable.

The owners have clearly spent a huge amount of money and effort into building this business, the hotel is modern, clean and has a really nice personality to it. We stayed in the Sunset room on the ground floor which for the price we paid was good value for money. There’s a really nice bar where we had a few drinks before heading out for dinner and a really nice breakfast room for a properly big and assorted breakfast in the morning. This will be our go to place for our next trip to Torquay.

Beautifully decorated room with a lovely practical bathroom. Super friendly and helpful hosts. Wonderful breakfast (including a daily joke). Access to the beachfront in easy walking distance (a couple of hilly bits but nothing unmanageable).

The property was so beautiful, well maintained and spotlessly clean. Location was great, with only a short distance to the beach and promenade, not forgetting bars and restaurants. It’s set in a quiet location but easily reachable to the lively buzz of Torquay if required. The outside area was immaculate with a heated pool and sun loungers, there was also large umbrellas for those not wanting to be in the direct sunlight. Parking was also a bonus, there were spaces on the car park and on the street too.
