Celestial Inn

The breakfast was very good and more than enough.

I would reccomend a little more bright rooms. When you close the balcony doors it was a bit dark, so maybe just some other lights for better atmosphere.

Très bien

Close to the beach but nice quiet location. Lots of restaurants close by and along the beach. Great breakfast. Thish was very helpful.

Nothing not to like

Everything was very good: the room, the bathroom, location, the garden is beautiful and Lakshan was very kind with us. He is the best. Highly recommended.

Great location. The host was very welcoming when I arrived. He instantly connected me to the Internet and recommended me places to visit. He also gave me a drink which was lovely and refreshing. The room was large and had what was needed for my 2 night stay. Very welcoming.

Due to a lack of ventilation in the bathroom, there were lots of ants. If this could be fixed, then 10/10.

.

Friendly staff Comfortable clean rooms Safety 👍 Value for money Calm environment

Ontzettend lieve medewerkers.

Kleinschalig hotelletje. Hotelkamer was prima. Airco en ventilator op de kamer. Zit een leuk balkonnetje bij. Locatie is top.

The hotel is a 3-minute straight shot walk to Mirissa Beach. It's a short walk to many cafes and restaurants. It has a nice little garden and the lower level rooms have patios, though you need good mosquito repellant to enjoy them. The staff were really friendly and kind.

Vše bylo perfektní, ubytování krásné, čisté a velmi milý a ochotní lidé

Nevím o ničem

Ottima posizione con entrata sulla spiaggia. Colazione buona e abbondante. Personale gentile. Frigo in camera.

Camera grande ma un po' spoglia.

Alles was man braucht, sehr netter empfang, top lage

The staff were very helpful and attentive to our needs, the grounds are beautiful and well kept, very very close to the beach, bed comfortable and air-conditioned room.

We stayed 6 nights here after a 2 week tour of Sri Lanka and overall enjoyed our stay. Lots to like about this accommodation, including location very close to Mirissa beach and shops. But also being set back from the main road quiet and with only 8 rooms each with nice terrace or balcony a good place to relax. The room had kettle with tea and coffee and bottled water provided. A family of monkeys would often appear adding an appealing back to nature feel, backing on to a steep wooded hill. Good sized room, comfy beds with mozzie nets it was a restful setting. The staff were friendly enough and the breakfasts we had were filling - if not the best of our trip.

Despite the pleasing design and layout of the accomm the rooms were badly in need of redecorating, including brightening up, very especially the bathroom that needed a deep clean and replacement of worn out fittings. Doing this seemed simple and cheap enough so we were surprised it seemed so neglected.

Large room with a huge comfy bed. The location is excellent and the staff there were awesome. Super friendly and helpful with suggestions of what to do etc. Nice balcony area for the upstairs rooms. We also had a fridge in the room which is always beneficial.

Nothing major but the ants seem to get everywhere, especially in the bathroom as the window wouldn’t shut.

the hotel is very closely with the beach with many cafes, ATB and turtles. comfortable and nice. I recommend this hotel

I enjoyed everything about my stay at the hotel. The staff was super friendly. Also gave us good advices. Upgraded my room for free. Even exchanged money for us at the market. The rooms are very big. Its possible to wash the clothes at the property. We were very happy to stay there. Would definitely recommend it. And hope to come back soon. Just 3 min from the beautiful Mirissa Beach.

Lo consigliamo,ci siamo davvero rilassati qui dopo diverse tappe on the road qui abbiamo trovato pace.

Perfect location very close to the beach, with some amazing restaurants. Very friendly and helpful staff - Thishan was an excellent host & organised whale watching tour for us the day before. Delicious breakfast also.

Shower pressure & temperature could have been better (not an issue in the heat!!!)

It is by far our best stay in Sri Lanka. The best part - staff. Hotel manager was extremely helpful, he answered WhatsApp messages instantly in the morning or in the evening. He wrote us about important events like power outage in Mirissa. He often asked us if everything is okay and gave us a lot of recommendations what to do in Mirissa. Lastly, when we were checking out, we had a lot of trouble catching uber (shady drivers). He offered us to call a taxi and offered us a coffe and water while we were waiting. Rest of the stuff was also really nice, always helpful. We ordered some food to our room, I asked for a plate, we got full set of plates, knifes, and forks with tissues, they also asked if we want water. Room was really fine with working AC and a fan, mosquites net around the bed. Bed was comfortable. A bathroom was good, well equiped with cosmetics. My favorite part about the room was a balcony with a beautiful view on a garden. Sometimes you could see monkeys on the trees. Breakfast was a regular breakfast similar to what we saw in other hotels - omlette, bread, jam, fruits and tea or coffee. Location is perfect, a walking distance to a lot of restaurants, turist spots and beach. 15 minutes tuktuk drive to Weligama Beach, where you can surf. I totally recomend that place, don't hesistate to book.

Unbelievable staff who went out of their way to make our stay more comfortable! Excellent location, seriously good value for money and a decent breakfast! Thank you!

Good location to go to the beach and to parrot Rock. Thanks to the staff who were kind and helpfull .They gave us tips for the places to visit Mirissa. There were enough amenities in the room.

I had such a great stay! The place was clean, quiet, and in a perfect spot—really close to the beach. The breakfasts were fresh and really tasty. Thish was an awesome host—really friendly and helped me sort out everything for my trip to Udawalawe National Park and Ella. Made everything so easy. I recommend stay here!

The air conditioning worked well

To be fair I usually stay in better accomidations. If you are 20 something and don't mind trails and piles of ants in the bath, fleas in the sheets and stained sheets this might be a place to stay. Yes it has a desk but no chair. Yes plenty of mosquitos but no net for the bed. The walls and floor are very dirty. The breakfast was 2 eggs, coffee and 4 pieces of white bread from a dirty kitchen. I left after one night having reserved two. They gave me a partial refund on the second night but told Booking.com I was a no show so I couldn't leave a review. I contacted Booking.com and reported this hence this review. My take is they do this often to bolster their review rating. This place deserves a rating of about 5 tops, it's a dump, beware!

Das Zimmer hatte alles was man braucht.

Amazing location, bang opposite Mirissa beach. Nice cozy property with incredibly helpful and prompt staff. Special shoutout to Nadee who handled all our requests, advised us on local sights and confectionaries and also helped arrange taxi's at reasonable fares to/from airport and Sigiriya. Wonderful experience overall.

Can't think of much, great value for money!

Big room but not has in pictures needs cleaning up .

Nice grounds and garden and also just tucked off the main road enough to be quiet. Good balcony.

Air condition was a bit more noisy than normal

Bella struttura immersa nella natura. Stanza essenziale e pulita.

This is by far the best place we stayed at in Sri Lanka for the past two weeks...we loved it so much we wanted to extend our stay but it was fully booked, and I understand why. The accommodation provides western standards with plenty of toiletries available (shower gel and shampoo) tea and coffee and a kettle and water, it is spotlessly clean, delicious breakfast and extremely kind and welcoming staff. Its location could not be better, quiet but only 150 meters from the beach, close to all shops and restaurants. We really welcomed the ice cold juice and cold towels we were provided with upon arrival. We were also offered free bottles of water when we left, which was a nice touch. Highly recommended, we would stay here again in a flash bit and would suggest it to everyone who is thinking of a relaxed and comfortable accomoddation in Mirissa.

Prachtige locatie, rustig gelegen. Zeer vriendelijk personeel. Via hun Walvistour gedaan. Kregen daarna alsnog het ontbijt aangeboden. Aan de overkant ligt een mooi strand. Zeer dicht nabij winkels en restaurants.

The staff were very friendly. Unfortunately, we had to check in late and check out early, so we didn't get to enjoy the place very much. The bed was comfortable, and it had a mosquito net. The room had air conditioning.

Nothing to complain

Sehr schönes Zimmer, nettes und sehr Hilfbereites Personal. Das Hotel bietet Laundry service an, was Problemlos funktioniert.

Amazing location, just minutes from the beach! Great price and friendly staff. The breakfast was delicious and the staff helped to organise a taxi to the airport, as well as serving breakfast early.

No mosquito nets around the bed

Good Location. It is very central but also a quiet place to relax. The staff are really nice and the rooms are clean and spacious.

Leckeres Frühstück, sehr gute Lage, top Personal,

Great location for exploring Mirissa, close to the beach but set back from the main road. Lovely garden and friendly staff. My room was spacious, clean and had a lovely balcony. Would happily recommend to a friend!

Had a lovely week at the Celestrial Inn. Staff went above and beyond helping us with a few issues exp Nadee 👍 rooms were comfy an big basic but good. Thanks again all for looking after us x

That it was down a lane and on to the beach with nice restaurants round about Exp the Italian 👌in

Good location, lovely setting. The staff & owners were amazing. They were so friendly & helpful. We had a late flight on the day we left & they looked after our luggage - and let us shower & change in their own house. Lovely warm people; 3 generations of family living there.

Nothing. A bit basic & rustic but we loved it.

Ausstattung etwas sparsam…

Great hotel located near the beach with a nice garden and comfortable rooms. The staff is very helpful and friendly, do not hesitate to ask for advice. Good breakfast.

There can be really big waves at the nearby beach - listen to the staff and if you are new to surfing, go to another beach, only 6 km away. Otherwise you risk injuries.

Location is good, it has balcony and view to the garden.

All was ok.

Clean & comfortable with a/c, fridge, hairdryer, plenty of plug adapters. Really friendly and helpful staff - booked us onto whale watching trip and a driver for our onward journey.

Great location roughly 100m from beach entrance yet far enough away from the beach road that it was quiet. We decided to stay an extra night and the staff were kind enough to organise that for us and give us a discount on the second night.

Nothing, great place to stay

Friendly manager

A bit pricey for what you got. And mosquitoes.

Great location. Clean and extremely nice, helpful staff. Lovely breakfast.

Rubbish piles behind the hotel. Lots of plastic and rubbish - so unnecessary.
