Amazing view - nothing beats waking up to the view at this location in the morning. Super helpful staff - Bhuvan has been exceptionally accommodating and also helped guide me past work hours, and provided us a few good recommendations on locations for stargazing. Thank you so much for making our stay a memorable one.

Our stay at Lakeview Colonial was great. It was quiet, clean, and conveniently located, with free parking and an easy walk into town. The staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make our anniversary special, which we really appreciated. We were given a room with a spectacular view, and judging by the layout, I suspect most rooms enjoy a lovely outlook over the lake. All in all, it was an excellent stay, and I'd highly recommend this place to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in Queenstown.

Lakeview Motel has a great view of the Remarkables and Lake Wakatipu, it is a great location close enough to the heart of Queenstown to walk and the room was very well designed with everything you could need and a comfortable bed.

The property was easy to locate and quite close to the town centre. Bhuvan was very helpful and supportive. My husband is a bit limited what he can do, Bhuvan was always ready to lend a helping hand.

We struggled a bit with the TV, but Bhuvan was always ready to help!

Nothing to fault, it was a well priced room. If anything the road noise could be a little better but it was expected because it was clear on the booking where it was located.

Bhuvan the Motel manager was very helpful went way out of his way to help us. Room and view were amazing, highly recommended to anyone.

I think it should be very clear in the description that you will have to go up steep stairs. I arrived on a dark raining evening with suitcases. I was fine but I would worry for elderly or people with any difficulties.

Beautiful views and phenomenal rooms, reception guy running it was excellent very kind and welcoming and perfect service would definitely stay again 10/10 as long as he is still there

Absolutely loved this place, the owners went above and beyond to make our anniversary special. Including balloons wine and a special message on the 'vacancy' board out front with was an awsome surprise for my wife. The staff were so friendly and helpful. An absolute treat to be able to walk to town. Quite flat and about 10-15 minute stroll. Nice modern design and the view was amazing.

Wonderful stay, amazing views and fantastic customer service. The room was very nice, however, was on the smaller side for 3 adults but quite comfortable. The service was 10/10, if we needed anything, they were very helpful. Location is great, easy walk to town, and the bus stop right how front was very handy.

The views were amazing, I loved having a balcony. It was very clean. It was also a 10min walk to the main center of Queenstown. This was very handy as I did not hire a car. The bus stop to also go to the Remarkables is also just 50m away. The staff were also very helpful, especially Bhuvan he was great

The whole experience was great, from the welcome to the checkout. Super friendly and a complimentary bottle of wine was a lovely touch. Comfy room and great views.

Televisions couldn't get TV1. The floor was a mismatch of tiles and carpet with sharp interfaces in between, which would hurt your feet when stepped on. There is little soundproofing between rooms.

The gentleman working there was fantastic, so friendly and very helpful- even offered and took our bags up the to our room!

It is facing the lake and our room has the perfect view.

We could hear the cars driving past in the middle of the night as it is close to the road.

We were appreciative of last-minute booking when our plans changed and host communication was excellent. The location was a short stroll to Queenstown and has views of the water and mountains. It was helpful to be close to the airport for a one-night stay before flying out.

The venue was run down and on a main road which was extremely noisy (all through the night). There is no loungeroom, rather a very small kitchen area.

Amazing view! Facilities were clean and today and super close to town and the bus stop is right outside. Highly recommend

Excellent stay in Queenstown. The property was spotless, comfortable, and perfectly located. Our room window view was spectacular, we looked out onto the lake and mountains . Bhuvan was a fantastic host, friendly, and always available to help. He made our trip even more enjoyable. Highly recommended, we would definitely stay here again!

A Wonderful Stay at Colonial Lakeside View, Queenstown! We recently stayed at Colonial Lakeside View in Queenstown to celebrate my birthday, and what a beautiful experience it was! The location is fantastic, with the most beautiful views — waking up to that scenery was definitely one of the highlights of our stay! The room was clean, tidy and comfortable, and the staff were absolutely wonderful — so friendly, welcoming and accommodating. But the best surprise of all was the effort the team made to celebrate my birthday. They decorated our room with lovely balloons and decorations and even surprised me with a complimentary bottle of wine! It was such a thoughtful and generous gesture, and it really made my birthday feel extra special. A huge thank you to the wonderful staff for making our stay so memorable. These little touches truly make a difference and are something we will remember fondly. If you're planning a trip to Queenstown, I would highly recommend Colonial Lakeside View. Great location, beautiful views, lovely accommodation and, most importantly, genuinely caring and friendly people. Thank you for helping make my birthday celebration so special! We absolutely loved our stay and would happily come back!

We had a wonderful stay at Lake Views Colonial Motel. We booked through Booking.com and arrived quite late, around 9:00 pm. One of the first things we noticed when we entered the room was how warm and welcoming it felt. The heater had already been turned on before our arrival, which was greatly appreciated on a cold evening. We also loved the heated bathroom floor—it was a thoughtful touch that made our stay even more comfortable. The room was spotless, well-maintained, and offered excellent value for money. The beautiful lake view was the perfect finishing touch and made our stay even more enjoyable. We truly appreciated the attention to detail and the warm hospitality. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this motel to anyone visiting the area.
