Good location

Stayed a few times over the last few years. The pool is falling apart, cats wander the restaurant and they seem obsessed with not allowing any outside food or drinks. Will not be back.

- Das Hotel wurde einmal wohl mit viel Liebe konzipiert. Leider wird es ungenügend in Stand gehalten (Holzboden und Fließen am Pool bspw.) - 90% der Gäste sind Russen - Ich bekam zunächst ein Zimmer mit Tür zum angrenzenden Zimmer. Eine russische Oma ließ die ganze Nacht den Fernseher laufen, so dass ich nicht schlafen konnte. Nach entsprechender Reklamation bekam ich dann nach zwei Tagen ein anderes Zimmer (wo bis auf die leckende Klimaanlage alles in Ordnung war)

The Pool, The Location was easy and accessible. The restaurant has a variety of meal and they easily adapted the menu as per our recommendations.

The Fitness area should be reorganized with new equipment's And if possible change the bed pillows with new ones.

Add on tax not included in price. It is worth looking on comparison sites for best price. It is worth a stay at this hotel for a charmed experience. I think I will stay again but do a little more research on comparison sites . Beachfront is also good and near centre.

Close to the beach and Jomtien complex, room is very spacious, staff very friendly, breakfast is realy value for money, wifi good and aircon is excellent, cause it cools 24/7. We had to check out at 4am and staff prepared a breakfast kit we asked for, that was a very lovely gesture. I recommend this hotel, overall very good.

Maintenance needs better, at the swimming pool, bathroom. Furniture is outdated, everything needs TLC.

Loved the location and atmosphere. Only fault was the pool. Beautiful size but needing attentions. Dangerous for seniors to enter and get out off. Slips and cuts to feet from broken tiles on entry. Pool in Phuket had placed a stainless steel stairs with rail assist. Excellent cheaper fix.

The location is excellent, the beach is beautiful, and the staff were friendly and polite. Unfortunately, the cleanliness was far below expectations.

The cleanliness was unacceptable. The room was dirty, and the housekeeping standards were very poor. This was the biggest disappointment of my stay.

This was the second time we have stayed at Avalon Beach Resort and it will not be our last: its staff, amenities and location on the beach ensure that on both occasions we have ended our extended vacation on a positive high.

The wooden boarding around the pool needs updating as some are broken, nails/screws are protruding and are an actual and potential trip hazard.

Thank you for your response.I will definitely return once I have your assurrance that there are hand rails on all stairs and safe lighting too, no charge for water at breakfast and plentiful coffee pods in the room with no extra charge. These changes are all consistent with adhering to 5 star hotel rating. Do let me know when these improvements have been implemented.

Es sind eigentlich Kleinigkeiten. Der Duschvorhang hätte mal ausgewechselt werden und leider Waschbecken verschluss war kaputt.

Das Essen war nicht so gut, im gegenteil vieles was gekühlt werden sollte war nicht gekühlt. Das Thailändische Essen war mttelmässig aber eher im unteren Bereich des Geschmackes. Kein klimatisierter Essnraum.alles wird drausen serviert und auch bereit gestellt.

Отличный отель, довольно старый, это ощущается в номерах. Но все очень чисто, персонал очень дружелюбный, всегда помогут и подскажут. Убирались каждый день, полотенца меняли каждый день. Расположение отличное, перешел дорогу и пляж, но на пляж мы ходили купаться подальше, там лучше заход. Чистый бассейн, есть отдельно место для курения и по вечерам играет спокойная акустическая живая музыка. Отель смотрится очень выйгрышно на фоне высоток рядом, потому что он очень аутентичный. Номер был большой, с удобным балконом и выходом на бассейн. Хороший вайфай на территории всего отеля. Очень вкусные и разнообразные завтраки! Фрукты, яичница, вафли и многое другое.

Туалет с большим окном, оно закрывается, но акустика там очень сильная, в комнате все слышно. Полотенца для бассейна выдавали под роспись, не очень понятно почему. До ночного рынка минут 20 пешком, 7/11 в 5 минутах пешком. Бассейн маловат, казалось на фото, что он больше.

For our stay, we got a corner room on the roadside, and from the balcony, we could still enjoy a view of the beach. The room is well-separated into different areas, which is great—it includes a living room, a balcony for chilling out, a small kitchen corner, a dining table, and even a bathtub for a relaxing soak. The decor is simple yet elegant with a touch of Thai style. The room is clean, fully equipped with amenities, and the bed is soft and very comfortable. Dinner here is also delicious, with both Thai and international dishes available, including à la carte options. There’s also a shaded swimming pool that adds to the relaxing vibe. If you’re planning a trip to Pattaya, this is definitely a place worth pinning on your list!

The usual - obnoxious Europeans claiming sunbeds at the crack of dawn. I booked a junior suite with pool access, only to find the sunbeds for my pool access were vacant, but with towels placed. When paying that money, I expect that not to be an issue.

The view on the sea

They upgraded our room upon arrival, thank you for that. It was a spacious and beautiful room with both ocean and pool views. Sitting on the balcony was lovely. The bed was comfortable. The room overall looked nice. The pool area was large and adequate.

The reason I didn't give it a great rating was because the room had some interesting ergonomic and comfort issues. Although old-fashioned, the furniture looked stylish and was well-maintained. There were no aesthetic problems. However, there wasn't a comfortable area to sit and do some work, for example, at a desk. The chairs and armchairs were generally uncomfortable. Much cheaper hotels offer much more comfortable seating and chairs. Breakfast wasn't bad, but I wouldn't recommend the restaurant for other meals. Overall, I think it was a bit expensive for Pattaya compared to what it offered.

I stayed in an executive suite room and it was HUGE (bedroom, living room, wrap around balcony). The swimming pool was fantastic. The buffet breakfast was very very good.

The Avalon is an older property but the design and architecture are from the colonial period when architecture was appreciated

Beim Frühstück wurde doch sehr spärlich nachgelegt. Backwaren sind in Thailand eher nicht so gut. Ein Kaffeeautomat ist für die Anzahl der Gäste zu wenig. Das Holz am Pool muss unbedingt ausgetauscht werden, da gibt es viel Verletzungsrisiken.

Отколотая плитка в бассейне, между взрослым и детским бассейнами двигается плита. Торчат гвозди на старом деревянном покрытии около бассейна. Это очень опасно для постояльцев. Жаль, что наши любимые массажистки больше не работают в отеле. Раньше на массаж записывались в день приезда. Вечно очередь. Сейчас за 9 дней видела, что делали массаж, буквально пару раз. Ничего не могу сказать про массаж, не были. Но наши бабушки были шедевральные! Всем добра и мира.

Avlon Beach Resort in Pattaya Jomtien was disappointing primarily due to the overall attitude of the staff, which felt unusually cold and unwelcoming—especially surprising in Thailand, often known as the “land of smiles.” There appears to be a noticeable mismatch between management priorities and guest experience, with a perceived preference for high-spending European tourists over regional or local customers, including Indian and other Asian guests. Communication gaps, possibly due to varying English proficiency among travelers, may also contribute to staff becoming overly cautious and rigid in their interactions. However, this results in a stiff, impersonal atmosphere where guests do not feel genuinely welcomed. What is particularly frustrating is that even when paying equal or higher room rates—such as booking directly rather than through discounted platforms—the treatment remains indifferent, almost as if warmth and hospitality are intentionally withheld.

Das Frühstück ist für den Preis nicht gerecht, das Personal versteht kein Englisch und probiert auch nicht unsere Frage entgegenzuwirken! Wir wurden direkt mit Google translate auf Russisch abgespeist was ich für eine Freischeit und Diskriminierend finde da wir keine russen sind!

Beliggenheden er perfekt overfor Dongtan Beach og ligger i behagelig gåafstand til det nordlige Jomtien. Værelserne er store og hyggeligt indrettet. Personalet flinkt og meget imødekommende.

Det eneste som umiddelbart kan gøre bedre er morgenmaden - den var lidt kedeligt og udvalget ikke specielt stort.

The hotel is very conveniently located and is not surrounded by high-rise buildings. It only has three floors, which makes it feel much more comfortable and relaxed. I actually stayed at this hotel 20 years ago, and surprisingly, not much has changed since then. That said, the furniture is of fairly good quality, so the hotel doesn’t feel too worn out. There are some visible signs of wear and tear, and it would definitely benefit from some renovation, but overall it’s still a decent place to stay. On the positive side, the hotel has easy access to the beach and there are many places nearby within walking distance. It’s a great option if you want to stay somewhere convenient and enjoy walking around the area. There are plenty of restaurants, cafes, and entertainment spots close by.

On the downside, the furniture could use some refurbishment — for example, the table under the TV was slightly worn. It would also be important to check and service the air conditioning system, as there was a slight musty smell in the room, which was a bit disappointing. Since the hotel hasn’t been renovated in a while, the rooms do feel somewhat outdated. However, it’s clear that a good-quality renovation was done in the past, so while many things look old, they are still in good working condition.

Great location and we had a great stay. Staff around pool and bar were great very helpful. Pleasant atmosphere and breakfast was basic but a variety of hot and cold food and drinks. Coffee machine was very slow song long queue each morning. Rooms were bit dated but cleaned well and maids were lovely. We had a great stay and will return. Pool area needs a bit of maintenance but still a nice area for relaxing and cooling off.

I had money stolen from the safe by the room cleaner and the manager /management have done nothing to resolve it I had put a large amount of Baht and some £70 in the safe and made a note of it. On the second day the cleaner was doing the room when I accessed the safe, she walked by me and stopped right beside me while I was putting the digits in..the panel lights up the numbers in red..we actually made eye contact…I actually commented to my partner on how “dodgy “ that came across and yes changed the code…however I forgot to implement that change and my partner went back to using the old code and I unconsciously went along with it. On check out I checked the money against the note …please see attachment…and noticed there was 400 baht and £30 missing…if it wasn’t for the £30 I would’ve probably questioned myself about the amount or just forgot about it as 400 only amounts to £10…but because of the missing pounds I knew I had been stung…I had no reason to take, spend or touch the pounds as overall I had about 20 thousand baht with me. I also spent half a day running around to report it to the police…the station was 40 minutes away, and because of the poor response from the hotel management as a matter of principle I wasn’t going to let it go. Regarding the rest of the stay, yes the hotel is in a good location but unlike other beach hotels they don’t have any beach space reserved. So to make use of the nearby beach you have to hire a sunbed, there’s no space whatsoever to put your own towel or beach mat…also the hotel doesn’t enforce any restrictions on reserving sunbeds by the pool so you’ll be looking at empty loungers with towels on. There are Better, Cheaper and more HONEST places to stay along that beach front. Please note I am not saying that it is a cartel operating with the hotel staff, just one bad  egg but it’s been the manager and managements bad response that has marred it…to clarify when I was making the initial complaint the manager was standing nearby and didn’t make herself known but was leaving it up to other staff to sort out …under her instruction…sh could visibly see that they were struggling to explain an yet chose to remain aloof…it was only when I pushed to speak to a manager did they point to her , so you could imagine my surprise when I realised that she had been there all the time…not worth the hassle , stay away.

They changed our room

Original room, water was brown when running water for jacuzzi, leaking taps on bath, basin and kitchen taps, pool area was all decked and broken and nails sticking up, tiles off pool steps missing, maintenance on these areas seriously need looking at and on all jacuzzi from when you turn on and bubbles because these holes are dirty
