This was my third visit to Hotel Piccolo Sant Andrea, and it is by far one of my favourite hotels in the world. It is the most beautiful boutique property along the Amalfi Coast, wonderful staff, spacious rooms and a stunning pool/facilities. There’s also an easy shuttle service into both Positano and Praiano. We will be back again and again, thank you Piccolo! X

1. Staff responsiveness, assistance and politeness was 5 stars. You would text them on WhatsApp and they would reply within the minute. 2. Dinners were really good. Appetizers from the house were much appreciated. 3. The hotel is cozy, manageable to get around. The view was exceptional. 4. Free shuttle rides to Positano and Praiano were really helpful.

If I had to be picky - 1. steam bath was not really doing its thing. 2. I think the TV has to be moved more in front of the bed as it is more to the side.

Very authentic great location and services offered to guests

Location in the cliffs, between Positano and Praiano was excellent. Sufficiently out of Positano to be able to leave the tourists behind, but still able to get there for ferries and days out. Praiano was lovely and would highly recommend its marina. Pool area was great and views outstanding - indoor pool and spa was even better and a welcome respite from the heat. Gym overlooking the bay was wonderful and the meals we had (breakfast, lunch and dinner) were top quality.

WiFi in the rooms and across the property could have been better. Made holding the odd work call more difficult than it needed to be. Communication with the hotel ahead of arrival could also have been better. Our previous hotel had been in touch via whatsapp in advance to arrange rooms and collection from the ferry. Comms once checked in were great.

We love this hotel so much! All of the staff is extremely friendly and very helpful with everything! The food and views are also amazing here. We cannot wait to come back and stay here again!

Utterly disappointed with this stay. While the views and location are undeniably incredible, they simply aren’t enough to make up for everything else the hotel gets wrong. We were particularly gutted to have left our previous hotel, where the staff were exceptional. From the moment we arrived, you could tell they genuinely enjoyed being there and took pride in working in hospitality. The warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail made every interaction a pleasure. Unfortunately, the contrast here was stark. The staff often appeared uninterested, unwelcoming, and lacking the basic customer service you would expect from a hotel of this standard. Rather than feeling valued as guests, we frequently felt like an inconvenience. The cocktails were equally disappointing. We had no issue paying premium prices, but when you’re charging the same as Villa Cimbrone, expectations naturally rise. Sadly, the drinks had a fraction of the flavour and presentation. They were served without any attention to detail, lacked creativity, weren’t presented in quality glassware, and didn’t even come with the complimentary nibbles that are often expected at this price point. They felt overpriced and underwhelming from start to finish. A stunning location can only take a hotel so far. Great hospitality, attentive service, and quality experiences are what turn a beautiful property into a memorable stay. Sadly, those were missing throughout our visit, and we left feeling thoroughly disappointed.

We absolutely loved the location and amenities in this gorgeous boutique hotel! Super friendly and accommodating staff, we will definitely be back!! Once we got there we realize we could not have made a better choice!

Absolutely amazing place and staff. The location is great, the views memorable. The staff is very friendly. The restaurant is on another level - the food is great and it is a nice experience. The pool is clean and with lovely views. We had a room on -4 floor and it had amazing views of the sea. Highly recommended with family or for romantic stay.

Location and views were great.

Some of the staff were grumpy and rude and acted like they didn’t want to be there, unlike the property we stayed at in Scala where they were fantastic and a joy to be around.

The views of Positano and Praino are wonderful as you breakfast or dine alfresco. The staff are so helpful (Lorna? In particular ) in organising the shuttle and restaurants - we went to Kasai and Km0 in Praino both were good. We also ate twice in the hotel restaurant which was excellent. We used the ferries from Positano for trips to Amalfi ( less crowded ) and Capri (too crowded - we didn’t stay long but enjoyed the ferry ride). We had a room with a terrace with an extra outside shower which I’d recommend - I think 403. We had 6 nights and didn’t have a car which suited us as we wanted a restful stay of reading and swimming ( used both pools and had them to ourselves). Note 1 that you can’t walk anywhere as the road is the famously exciting Amalfi coast road which has no footpaths so you might need a car. Note 2 Positano is beautiful but very busy so go early. Also it’s hilly and the half mile walk back up for the return shuttle is uphill. We’re in our 70’s.

The resort had a great view but the service was a 3 star hotel service i was expecting more from a five star hotel not a five star hotel at all. We checked out requested help from the bell desk no body showed up to help with our luggage and at the restaurant not good food it was a food of a 3 star hotel not a five star hotel will make sure to report to whoever gave a five star to the hotel they lied about 5 star.

Amazing hotel on the Amalfi coast. We were upgraded to an amazing suite with massive terrace facing Positano. The hotel staff could not have been better. The front desk team were very responsive via WhatsApp and booked us excellent restaurants and activities. The restaurant and bar staff were professional, friendly, and very attentive. You can't walk from the hotel to either Positano or Praiano, but the free shuttle runs every 30 min. and is very convenient. It was nice to be away from the crowds in Positano, but just a 10 min. drive away (one day there in the crowds was enough for us). The tasting menu dinner at the hotel restaurant wasn't our favorite, but the included breakfast was outstanding and the tables overlook the coast.

Mir fehlte die Espressomaschine im Zimmer,das Doppelbett stand zu eng an der Wand bei uns.Leider mussten wir täglich „auf dem Weg zu unserem Zimmer,an dem Ausrüstungswagen mit Wäsche für die Zimmer, vorbei.Das darf bei so einem 5 Sterne Hotel nicht sein!

Beautiful hotel with an awesome view from the room and the bar. The private Terrace was something very special and definitely worth it. The shuttle from the hotel will bring you directly to the Center of Praiano and Positano. Service was really good!

Although I can understand the will to clean the room, I think one should not disturb if someone is in the room. It’s one of the most annoying things in hotels in general.

This hotel was a fantastic find. Perfect location between Positano and Praiano. We arrived to extremely friendly and helpful staff this continued through out our stay. Phoning restaurants for us, shuttle bus service. They went above and beyond. I cannot recommend enough. Our sea view room was breathtaking. The room was extremely clean and quiet. If you are visiting the Amalfi coast stay here. A short trip from the hustle and bustle in Positano. Perfect location to visit Positano, Praiano and Capri and Amalfi via ferry if you are not driving (departing from Positano)

Igea (owner) and the entire staff are A+. Views are gorgeous and the hotel is incredibly clean and well cared for. As boutique hotels go it’s a wonderful experience. Shout out to the entire reception and concierge staff, the incredible bartenders and Alessandro and the wait staff. Meraviglioso!

We had the most wonderful stay at Hotel Piccolo in September 2025 for our wedding, and we truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment we arrived, the team went above and beyond to make our stay special, nothing was ever too much trouble. Each breakfast felt like a special occasion and the daily shuttle into town was incredibly convenient. On our wedding day, the service was exceptional. The hotel manager even offered to drive our car back for us so we could fully enjoy our day in Positano without worrying about parking, such a thoughtful and generous gesture that meant a lot to us. We booked four rooms and used the largest suite to get ready on the morning of the wedding. The staff were incredibly accommodating and supportive throughout, helping everything run smoothly and making the day feel even more special. Thank you to everyone at Hotel Piccolo for your kindness, attention to detail and for playing such an important part in one of the most memorable days. We would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Positano!

I booked for 2 nights as a secret proposal and birthday for my partner and it was simply amazing…breathtaking views, the staff are there 24/7 for you via WhatsApp making your trip effortless and as enjoyable as possible. The hotel itself is very secluded and so peaceful, we went out of season…from what I learnt I would not go to this part of the world in high season as it is not built for the influx of tourists! Sept-Oct still has the weather but far less busy. The hotel has a free shuttle bus service which ferries you to and from the local towns, it is SUPER helpful as nothing is within walking distance from the hotel unless you’re hiking. Everyone at the hotel is so polite, knowledgeable and professional, the food is also amazing, it’s the best service I’ve ever experienced…well worth the money. We rented a car to get to and from the airport, they have plenty of parking space however driving on the amalfi coast is not for the faint hearted or unskilled driver! Thank you, it was truly magical! Recommendations: - Visit the hotel spa - il Pirata restaurant in Praiano - Lunch at the hotel…go for any of the pasta dishes! - Private boat trip in Positano - leave plenty of time getting to/from places

Beautiful location beautiful people, its magnificent and the dinner on the terrace was like a scene from a movie.

We asked for the table on the corner and he said ok and we reserved at 8, but when we showed up on time he claimed it was book by another couple. It threw me off but thats fine. Also the rooms arent sound proof

Pool incredible views and so far peaceful- and outdoor gym with views super nice! Rooms not wow, quite basic and bit dated. The staff were generally very friendly and location excellent as a base to explore coast.

The staff were absolutely outstanding. They were attentive, helpful and friendly. The location was brilliant, as from all areas of the hotel there are fantastic views of Positano or Praiano. The shuttle into Positano and Praiano was very helpful and the drivers were always friendly. The restaurant within the hotel was amazing, with delicious food at very attentive staff. It was the perfect place for our honeymoon. Thank you

Sometimes other guests were slightly noisy around the pool, especially the children. But mostly was very quiet and peaceful

Placido made a strong impression during my stay at Hotel Picolo. The coffee he prepared was the best I have tasted, and he was kind enough to explain the process behind it. What really stood out was how approachable he was and how generously he shared the method behind it. His service was excellent throughout, represents the hotel very well and adds real value to the guest experience.

The hotel is lovely and the staff are very professional. They offer shuttle services to anywhere you need to go such as the marina or restaurants. Wonderful views of Positano from the terraces make breakfast every morning extra special. Don't forget to ask Placido for his espresso martini at bar!

Amazing views, quiet location, awesome staff and service, located between praiano and positano which makes it easy to get to tours, ferries, water taxis and some of the best restaurants in the area as well. The shuttle runs to both Praiano and Positano and is very convenient. Location, quiet, comfrotable, not very busy and Amazing staff and service. Cannot ask for more. Thank you! Don't forget to try the bar out with Placido. His creations are awesome. Placido, Orlando and the staff at the restaurant are also always making your experience awesome.

While the dinner served was enjoyable, it did not quite live up to the expectations set by the hotel's promotional materials. Additionally, I found that the hotel's location is somewhat misleading; it is not conveniently situated near the sea as I had hoped. This lack of direct access to the waterfront was disappointing, as I was looking forward to exploring the coastal scenery.

Breakfast was excellent. Evening patio service was outstanding (Placido). Beds were very comfortable. Food was outstanding as well. Concierge service was excellent too.

Absolutely lovely place, the hotel has absolutely amazing views, the rooms incredibly clean and the amenities are top-notch but the best thing about the place is the how kind and helpful the staff are. They are constantly looking for ways to help and improve. Incredible hotel!

The staff at the hotel goes far and beyond to accommodate ones requests and to get you as comfortable and relaxed as possible. The people at the Bar and Restaurant are just awesome and make you feel at home. Make sure to take advantage of their shuttle and visit Positano and Praiano. Thanks to Maria, Laura, Chef Pietro, Placido, Lucca, and the rest of the team for such a special vacation and making me and my wife feel at home. Truly a little piece of paradise.

We had a deeply disappointing experience at this hotel. The room we were given did not match what was pictured and advertised on their hotel website. Not all the suites have bathtubs (even if they are advertised as having them) and all of the terraces are different, which they will not tell you upon booking. When we brought this to the front desk's attention, we were told dismissively that “all the rooms are different”, which is a clear attempt to excuse the deceptive advertising. It got worse from there. When Amex Travel reached out on our behalf, hotel staff hung up on them and then refused to answer any follow-up calls. We’re now in a formal dispute through Amex, and the hotel has responded with additional false claims to avoid issuing a refund. This level of dishonesty and lack of professionalism is unacceptable for any hotel, let alone one claiming to be five-star. I would strongly caution anyone considering a stay here.

Beautiful and personalized experience. Expansive balconies with unmatched Positano views. More private than other Positano hotels. Shuttle was amazing and could be tailored to our schedule. 100% would stay here again in Amalfi.

We had a wonderful stay

Location was amazing! it's not inside Positano, but they have a very convenient shuttle that took us to Positano in 10-15 mins. The view from the room is breathtaking and the room itself is clean and roomy. The breakfast was ok, nothing outside the norm. We would definitely repeat the stay.

We were surprised that the room had no free coffee or even a kettle to make our own coffee. You'll have to order coffee and tea as room service. Also very few water bottles given every day.

The hotel was perfect and the location is amazing! The bartender was great with his flowery drinks! We will definitely come back.

Great stay here. Beautiful location, stunning views and such a relaxing space to be in. Is well equipped with a spa, indoor and outdoor swimming pool and lots of areas to eat and sit. It never feels busy due to all the different areas where you can relax. Staff were super helpful and the free shuttle bus is a great resource for getting to and from the local towns. We ate in the restaurant twice abs the food was delicious. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

This hotel exceeded all expectation. The view was umbelievably beautiful. The hotel is so luxurious and comdortable, the staff were so amicable and friendly, we thoroughly enjoyed building a rapport with them. They show a good interest in guests. The food at breakfast, lunch and dinner was all delicious with fantastic dinner presentation. A shuttle service was available also to bring us and collect us from Positano and Praiano, which was an excellent addition. Would hope to return again to this wonderful hotel, thank you to all the staff for such a memorable trip

This was a beautiful, quiet and relaxing place to stay! The staff went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, and clearly took pride in their hotel and providing excellent service. Breakfast was perfect, and the view from the breakfast terrace was incredible. While the room furniture was a little bit dated, the size, comfort and most importantly the terrace of our room - perfection. Staff went out of the way to help with room comfort, transfers, luggage, and making our stay wonderful. If you are looking for a night out in Positano nearby, keep in mind that once hotel shuttles are no longer running (after 8pm), taxis from Positano were between 35 and 50 Euros depending on the time of night (even after 10pm when the drive took less than 10 minutes)!! This wasn’t any fault of the hotel, just helpful to know if you are planning some night life in Positano. We went to hike the Path of the Gods on our checkout day, and the hotel arranged rides and hooked us up with fantastic drivers/guides. It was a great launch point for seeing the Amalfi Coast. Excellent full service hotel with a secluded feel away from the hustle and bustle. There are only a few rooms but the amenities are plentiful - full bar, pool and spa, restaurant and an outdoor workout room with a view. The staff was very attentive to our every need for the 4 night stay. Our favorites were the spritz we enjoyed nightly. Views of both Paraino and Positano are magnificent. We will surely return to this wonderful property.

This is an authentic 6-star hotel with beautiful rooms, views, restaurant, housekeeping and all around staff. I loved the outdoor shower on the terrace and used it every chance that I got. The lobby desk staff would easily arrange any day trip that you wanted to take and insure that everything was primo! The shuttle service was incredible with very experience and careful drivers. The views from everyplace all around the hotel are magnificent. Dinner there was impeccable with super attentive staff. The breakfasts were gratis with a wide selection of items: pastries, pies, scrambled eggs with bacon, all sorts of cheeses with Italian meats, sausages, little crispy potato cakes, melon, pineapple, bananas and all sorts of coffee (I'm sure that there are things that I may have forgotten). My wife said that the spa was really great! The pool is lovely so, don't forget your swimsuits. You shouldn't expect to walk up to the road and walk around the street because there aren't really any sidewalks, of course some people do. The is a safe in the room but I don't think that you should be concerned because strangers will not be getting in to this wonderful hotel. The bathroom has been stocked with all the amenities that one can possibly think of (even a special liquid soap to use at the bidet, I have never felt so clean, LOL). This hotel was beautiful and the staff was incredible. From the first time they walk you around the hotel and give you a tour, to the breakfast staff, everyone treats you wonderful. My wife and I stayed in a Panorama Design room and the view from our large balcony was simply amazing. We were a little unsure about the rooms shower being outside but once you take the first shower overlooking the beautiful Amalfi Coast you realize that it is just another amazing experience. The complimentary shuttle to and from both Positano and Praiano were great. The breakfast was very good and they also will make you a custom omelettes, which was a nice touch. The hotel is located just outside of Positano which made the peace and quite nice after being in crowds all day in Positano.

Beautiful hotel with great service. The food was very good, we loved the outdoor gym and views were amazing. The lush gardens surrounding were so pretty. We booked the couples massage which was ok, not great. They made great cocktails, our room was very nice and bed super comfy. Be careful with garden view if you are showering outside as people often walk by and can see down. Overall very happy here!!

Beautiful property but really hard to get to and if you are planning to go out after 8 pm plan to spend a lot of money on taxi rides. The view is amazing but was kinda too far from everything for me.

The hotel is in a beautiful location with stunning views of the coast and Positano which is visible from different areas of the hotel and room. The best thing about the hotel is the staff, who were all very nice and helpful. The free shuttle service to and from the hotel and local towns was very helpful as travel and parking are difficult. A few things would improve the rating of the hotel: Updating the bathroom suite as these are quite dated and tired looking and having an indoor shower too for the evening to prevent insect bites. Ant killer, as there was a lot of them inside and found their way into the bed too.

The staff were most accommodating. The property is breathtaking. Delicious food options and a shuttle that takes you to town. Highly recommend.

If you seek an oasis of quiet and luxury in the midst of the chaos that is the Amalfi Coast, then run, don't walk, to this beautiful hotel located just down the road from Postiano in lovely Praiano. The view, the location, the pool, spa, and other facilities are fantastic, but what set this hotel apart for us was the excellence in service and staff, particularly by Giuseppe who set a new standard for personal service. There was nothing that he couldn't do! Thanks to the exceptional staff, we plan on returning to this gem of outstanding service and beauty.

Great Jem: It is hidden away, but it has great rooms and great staff. I loved the place. It is between Positano and Priano, which is great because you get both Marines.
