I had a very pleasant stay at Monthara Angkor Residence. The hotel was comfortable, clean, and offered a welcoming atmosphere. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. A special mention goes to Mr. Lucky, who was exceptionally helpful, friendly, and always ready to assist whenever I needed anything. His kindness and excellent service really made my stay more enjoyable. Overall, I had a great experience and would happily stay at Monthara Angkor Residence again. I rated Monthara Angkor Residence 10/10 because everything about our stay was simply amazing. From the moment we arrived, the entire team was incredibly friendly, helpful, and professional. A big and special thank you to Mr. Lucky and his whole team for making our stay so enjoyable. They can arrange absolutely everything you might need during your stay bikes, tuk-tuks, excursions, and transportation making it very easy to explore the area. A special thank you to Mr. Kimhong, our tuk-tuk driver, who took us around and was fantastic throughout our trips. The location is perfect as well. It’s within easy walking distance of many great places, restaurants, cafés, and laundry services, so everything you need is just around the corner, Night Market, Pub Street. One of the prettiest boutique hotels I have stayed in. The interior decoration, the style, it all looks carefully handpicked. We really loved our spacious room with the balcony, breakfast was good, I particularly loved the pancakes! Location is ideal, quite central. Mr Lucky, the manager is the best! So warm, helpful and accommodating, all the staff were great. I highly recommend this hotel. Thank you all.

The staff is inflexible and rude There is no lift so you have to carry luggages through the stairs. Breakfast is small. The pool is also small. Be mindful if you have a car since the hotel is in an alley, not a big road The room is clean but the facility shows signs of poor maintenance and will downgrade soon

I couldn’t recommend this place enough! The hotel itself is gorgeous, lovely pool and just had a great energy with good location! Most of all the staff, they were so kind humble friendly and felt like second family! I spent a lot of time with my good friend Lucky who made my whole experience feel soo lovely!!

SUPER NICE HOTEL WITH GREAT STAFF!!! i loved the western style room! it was big and pretty clean and it was super quiet. and all the staff were SUPER NICE!!!! we had to leave 0530 am for Angkor wat but then the staff offered us to-go breakfast at 0515 even though breakfast starts at 0700!!! especially the staff named tann was exceptional!! they were all so helpful! i'd definitely stay again!!

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour malgré la chaleur écrasante. La piscine était un vrai bonheur ! Mr. Lucky et son équipe étaient aux petits soins pour nous (j'espère d'ailleurs que nous n'avons pas trop abusé de leur gentillesse...). Ils proposent pleins de tours et ont même accepté à la dernière minute que nous restions une nuit de plus. La chambre était bien spacieuse et agréable !

Wir haben zwei Nächte in diesem familiengeführten Hotel verbracht, hauptsächlich für unseren Besuch beim Angkor Wat. Von Anfang bis Ende wurden wir unglaublich herzlich empfangen und betreut. Ein ganz großes Dankeschön an Mr. Lucky, der sich während unseres gesamten Aufenthalts perfekt um uns gekümmert hat. Egal wann wir ins Hotel kamen er war immer da, hat uns freundlich begrüßt und nachgefragt, ob alles pass. Man merkt einfach, dass hier mit Herz gearbeitet wird. Unser Zimmer war wunderschön, sehr groß und authentisch eingerichtet. Besonders gefallen hat uns das offene Badezimmer und die Badewanne mit einem tollen Panoramablick nach draußen. Dazu ein Balkon und ein riesiges, bequemes Bett. Die Lage des Hotels ist ebenfalls top. Viele wichtige Orte sind fußläufig erreichbar. Ein weiteres Highlight war der Service: Für unsere frühe Tour um 5 Uhr morgens zum Angkor Wat wurde uns ein Frühstück zum Mitnehmen vorbereitet. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen!

Sehr freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal, große Zimmer mit gutem Bett, Ausflüge waren gut organisiert, gute zentrale Lage aber dennoch ruhig, da das Hotel in einer Seitenstraße liegt, vieles gut zu Fuß erreichbar. Frühstück musste aus einer Karte vorbestellt werden.

Der Toilettensitz war sehr verfärbt und nicht schön anzusehen wirkte schmuddelig und sollte ausgetauscht werden.

Absolutely loved our stay here. Out of all of our accommodations across SE Asia this one was the best. The room was extremely clean and very spacious. The beds were comfortable, and the bathroom was highly impressive.

The only thing that we had a problem with in our short stay was the shower. Although they had a rain shower head, which is not one of mt favorites, the drain to the shower did not work properly. The shower filled with water very quickly, and showers had to be taken with speed to avoid possibly flooding the rest of the room. Our stay was a quick one so the staff couldn't have fixed it before our depature but their response upon depature was great and hope that it was resolved for the next guest.

Spacious room with a balcony with all the necessary amenities, good location not far from city center, cozy and a bit tranquil. Exceptionally attentive team, Mr. Lucky has kindly organised necessary transportations for me.

Siamo stati in questa struttura a novembre del 2025 Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Ottima posizione a 400 MT dal centro( che può essere raggiunto a piedi in 5 minuti). Camere molto ampie e confortevoli con balcone. Pulizia e cordialità del personale hanno distinto la nostra permanenza. Un ringraziamento speciale a mister Lucky che con la sua puntualità e precisione ci ha aiutato in tutte le nostre necessità. Vivamente consigliato per soggiorni anche brevi è il meraviglioso sito archeologico di Angkor Wat

Mr Lucky and the staff were exceptional. They could not have been nicer or more helpful. They helped organised our day trips and tuktuk driver so everything was arranged when we got there. The location is great. Easy walking distance to the river, markets and Pub Street with lots of nice restaurants and coffee shops nearby. Despite being so close, it was very quiet. It also had a pool. It was also only 20 minutes away from Angkor Wat which made the early start less painful. It was great value for money and I could not recommend it highly enough.

The room was very spacious and in a decent location. The bed was very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Fresh water provided every day. The bath was huge, definitely big enough for two. Shower was good. It was good for the price.

On our first night we found two cockroaches in our room - we nearly switched hotels after this. The room was made up daily, but the floor was never cleaned. They turn the air con off when they clean the room so you come back expecting somewhere to cool down, only to be met with a room as hot as outside. The rooms are not as well presented as in the photos, they must have been taken a few years ago as things were looking a lot more worn.

It is a small hotel in the center of Siem Reap. East to get many restaurants and the Old Market.

It’s in a neighborhood, so you do get a little noise.

The location meant that we were a 10 minute walk from most places we wanted to be. Foodcarts, shopping, markets, restaurants are all just outside your door. The Cambodian people are friendly and humble. The staff will bend over backwards to help you have the best stay possible. We included breakfast which they make to order and it was delicious.

My daughter and I found the beds to be firmer that what we’re used to. We had just come from Vietnam and are now in Bangkok, and this seems to be the norm in general. Not a criticism, just an adjustment.

We stayed 3 nights and loved our large room. The property is in a great location, 5-10 mins walk to Pub Street & there’s a great cafe across the road. The staff were exceptional, friendly & efficient. Enjoyed the breakfast too.

The beds were hard. TV didn’t work but we weren’t bothered so only reported it after checking out. The pool is undercover, just off of/open to reception so we didn’t use it. Instead we paid $7 each to get a day pass to the Two Seasons rooftop pool (few mins walk away) which included a drink at the bar.

The location is excellent. but access road is a bit tricky. From one side, it’s smooth. From another side it’s a bit bumpy but very short distance. Highly recommend for those wanna visit pub street as it is just walking distance.

The reception floor is a bit slippery. I asked for one big single bed and got confirmation via email that they can offer it. But when I arrived, I got two single beds. Not big issue anyway.

Everything is very good and more than I expected. Good service and friendly staffs. It’s not Hotels fault but neighbors has roosters and cries in the middle of night. I woke up first and second day but i got used to it after. Other than that everything was fine

Our driver/guide Kim Hong was wonderful, very friendly and very knowledgeable about all the wonders of Siem Reap. His English was excellent and he was always punctual. He provided us with bottled water on long, hot days. I’d recommend him highly

We really enjoyed the location as well as the design and size of the room. The staff are very kind and the place is quiet for the most part. The major areas of siem reap can all be reached by foot in less than 15 minutes and there are plenty of restaurants, grocery stores, pharmacies and so on in the close vicinity. The AC works well and hot water is always available. The pool, even though we did not use it, seemed to be well maintained and looked inviting in general. They offered to arrange some tours to Angkor wat and picked us up from the bus terminal wich booth went very well and the place seems very trustworthy. Also the area sees fairly few street dogs and seems safe and secure in general. The absence of a main road in front of the hotel is great for noise reduction. We felt very cared for and comfortable at this hotel and for the right price would absolutely visit again.

Basically we only encountered two things that were not to our liking: 1. None of the staff members speak good English some of them next to nothing. I understand that you cannot expect everyone to be good at another language but when working almost exclusively with foreign tourists I would argue that some basic English skills are useful and could massively improve the guest experience. It should be noted though that even with limited communication the staff seems to be very motivated. 2. The hotel and especially the room we had promise a relatively premium feel. However even though the room in itself is great this particular sense of quality is lacking. The bathtub has some damage to it making it seem as if it was not cleaned properly, the shower takes up to 5 minutes to start getting warm, the room is poorly insulated, some lights are broken or in a different shade of white than others, the tiles on the floor are scratched and stained from lime, and so on… None of these “problems” are anything that I would mention at a hotel charging the rates that we paid but the regular rate of this place starts getting close to some much more premium hotel chains so I will hold it to the same standards. In conclusion: if you can get a good deal on the rooms it is an absolute recommendation but don’t book it at full fare expecting the same kind of comforts that you would have in a discounted premium hotel.

I like that it's a quiet little space, nestled in the neighbourhood with local houses just across the street. There is also a laundry shop a few minutes walk away and plenty of cafe/food options across the road.

Unfortunately, the room we had was pretty dusty, with white powdery dust all over the floor. There's no door to the shower, which can get very cold and the water takes a while to hear up.

Staffs are frindly. Loctaion is good. The room is big and bathroom is big. Value for money. It is clean.

It is loctaed in a side street and has no sign (it being in a rsidential neighbourhood). So it is a bit difficult to find the first and second times. There is no lift. So if you stay on the four floor, it may be tough with the luggages.

The room was more than sufficient. Very spacious and plenty of amenities. The location was away from the hustle and bustle, which meant we had a peaceful rest. At the same time, only a short walk to the old market and pub street. Their staff are top notch! Very genuine and friendly people.They provide complimentary pick up from the airport/ bus station. Really appreciated their hospitality.

Our room was spacious, smelled amazing and had a very comfortable bed with extra soft bedding! Location was perfect for us, just a short walk away from the city center. Without hesitation I would stay here again next time!

Hotel is a bit worn but good. Spacious room, good shower and a comfortable bed. Did not try the pool. Breakfast has good service and comes with no surprises. I booked with a two way transfer but it is not available since they closed the old airport over a year ago. Pretty close to city center and a very helpful staff.
