my second stay there......the staff are first class and the skylark restaurant was again amazing. Immaculate rooms and the deluxe room is highly recommended over the standard room

Very minor but an EV charger would have been much appreciated. It would have been nice to have a swimming pool on the premises but maybe in the future is being considered.

The hanging in the cupboard did not allow full length dresses to be hung as we were attending a wedding at the hotel my wife had several long dresses which fortunately did not crease Room 301

Rather dated, dreary room, noise from slamming doors and party in room upstairs which went on until 2 in the morning, no privacy in room due to being on the ground floor with french windows with no net curtains or blinds overlooking drive and entrance with people milling around and smoking right outside. The many events that were happening while were there - weddings, karaoke Abba etc - meant it was quite noisy, crowded and chaotic. Not the quiet, restful, elegant 5 star experience we were hoping for. Staff were very apologetic and kindly deducted food and drinks from our final bill. We truly appreciated this.

Voor een vijfsterrenhotel verwacht je een luxere kamer. De kamer was wel van alle gemakken voorzien (koelkast, keurige badkamer). De ligging van onze kamer op de begane grond had geen privacy doordat de kamer inkijk had vanuit de ingang van het hotel.

First time at this hotel and could not fault anything, staff on arrival were friendly and very helpful, food and staff in the Conservatory were excellent.

Setup in the bathroom was not too practical. Towel rack hung over the toilet, making it a bit hard to reach. Also the toilet flush was behind the toilet seat, making it difficult to flush without standing up.

We booked our room the day before, very last minute. What a fantastic experience. From the time we arrived to the time we left, the staff were fantastic, so helpful, friendly and engaged. Loved our stay in the Crathes Suite. 10/10

The hotel is truly stunning as is the location. Staff are wonderful as is food and beverage. The receptionist noticed my wife had trouble walking and immediately changed our room to one very close to the elevator. Very caring and thoughtful, We did have a fabulous stay. 5

One thing was not. Namely the bed which was huge but extremely soft thus back ache on rising in the morning, Apart from that one item it was great.

I think the staff needs more training to be a bit more efficient when dealing with customers. Not saying all but some definitely need some training on how to approach and accommodate customers and not have them waiting for a long period time before assisting them. Make sure that the room temperature is comfortable before the guests arrive. My room was freezing.

Everything Bedroom(114)was in a noisy and busy location and vehicle were parked facing and right outside the window -very poor value for money. Dinner was poor with food cold and undercooked. Breakfast the same . In the Lounge are after dinner there was a drunk shouting and swearing profanities and no intervention by staff

We travelled to Aberdeen for a long weekend at this fabulous Hotel. There was a very welcoming Reception, and the hotel boasts a Lounge with roaring open fire and 2 restaurants. On arriving at the Hotel, the check in was simple and we had our bags taken up to our room. The room itself was faultless … beautiful décor, large comfy bed and large bathroom with walk in shower. There was complimentary fruit, biscuit and luxury tea/coffee/hot chocolate plus milk and water in a fridge. We had a meal in the Skylark restaurant on our first evening and the service/food was second to none. There was a varied menu which was well presented, and the service of the staff was exceptional. There is another restaurant – the Conservatory – which we did not use but the menu here was less varied but still exceptional. We had our breakfast on the Conservatory Restaurant and there was a wide variety of continental food, juices, cereal and toast. There were also breakfast items that could be made to order, and these were delicious and very well presents. Again, the staff waiting on the tables were faultless and attended to whatever you required. The hotel itself is in its own grounds on the outskirts of Aberdeen very close to main roads/bypass for accessibility. We ventured into Aberdeen by Taxi and was only a 10 min ride. There is a spa onsite also, but we did not use this facility. On the whole an exceptional experience and we will definitely be back.

Excellent service, a warm welcome as always. It is an absolute joy to stay at this lovely hotel. The comfortable rooms, log fires and delicious cuisine at The Marcliffe always exceed expectations.

The staff were the highlight for us. All of the little things that might seem like nothing all add up to fantastic service. Nothing was too much trouble for any of them. Location is great, close to the Deeside Line walking/cycling path, 40 minutes walk into the city centre and close to Royal Deeside. The property itself is very comfortable and has held onto its authenticity and family feel.

One small glitch when we had a very disappointing brunch when we arrived. I had to send it back and what was then produced was what I had expected in the first place. Unsure who was on in the kitchen that day, but it didn’t make for a great first impression.

The room was stunning, with excellent facilities, a fabulous shower, and a really comfy, cosy bed that made it hard to get up in the morning. The whole space felt very high quality and well looked after. The staff were exceptional and a real highlight of the stay; genuinely welcoming, warm, and couldn’t do enough for us without ever feeling overbearing. It really made the whole experience feel relaxed and effortless. The hotel itself and the grounds were beautiful and felt very peaceful and well maintained, which added a lot to the overall atmosphere of the stay. The restaurant was honestly some of the best food I have ever had. Even the continental breakfast was second to none: fresh, high quality, plenty of variety and clearly done with care. We also enjoyed some absolutely wonderful treatments at the spa which I cannot recommend enough, especially the deep tissue massage! The spa staff are highly knowledgeable and gave us exactly what we needed. Overall, everything felt top quality across the board and we genuinely could not fault anything during our stay.

The only thing that felt like a bit of a let down was the way a breach of my personal information was handled prior to our arrival, which resulted in scammers obtaining detailed information about my booking including name, phone number, dates of stay, and booking reference. Based on the hotel’s own communications, it appeared this issue had already affected other guests, so it was disappointing that we were not made aware until after we reported receiving a scam message ourselves. This was not due to anything on our side, and I would hope to see continued improvement in data protection controls and faster, clearer communication to guests if incidents like this occur in future. Regardless, I would absolutely stay again.

Breakfast was lovely, all freshly cooked. Quality products. Only thing was I wanted scrambled egg on toast but you have to make your own toast so timing was hard. By the time I got my eggs, my toast was cold. Not major but a bit annoying

Booked a night for my mum and dads 40th wedding anniversary and my mums 60th birthday and they had the most wonderful experience. From start to end they had a 5 star experience, the service, food, room, everything, was first class. I cannot thank you enough for providing them with such an exceptional experience.
