It is very central in location. The promenade is within walking distance. I understand it is an old building. So upkeep is decent

The staff were very hesitant In providing help. Half the facilities in the room didn't work, the mini fridge the tv. There is no option to book a room without breakfast. The resturant said breakfast at 8 but till 8.15 it wasnt ready. And It was a very passable breakfast.

L'entretien laisse à désirer, car les climatiseurs et les ventilateurs faisaient beaucoup de bruit. Le petit-déjeuner était aussi super limité par rapport à mon dernier séjour il y a quelques années, alors que c'est plus cher maintenant.

Overall it was fine.

The location is fabulous, almost all famous cafes were very close by. We loved walking around and saw beautiful shops too. The building is a beautiful heritage with an elevator, though the pool and breakfast was worth skipping.

Cold breakfast and mini pool. There's parking close by as the local transport are ripping tourists.

Had a wonderful stay at Villa Krish! The place was clean, peaceful, and perfect for a relaxing getaway. Loved the beach vibe, spacious atmosphere, and the overall hospitality. The staff were friendly and helpful, making the experience even better. The location was great for enjoying both adventure and relaxation. Definitely a memorable stay and would love to visit again! A few things could have been better during the stay at Villa Krish. The maintenance in certain areas could be improved, especially the indoor swimming pool, which needs better upkeep and cleanliness. Parking was also a concern, as the space/access could have been more convenient. Apart from these issues, the overall stay was still relaxing and enjoyable.

Nice breakfast, rooms are big and AC is great. Bed is comfortable. Location is perfect for walking around Pundicherry.Room was very quiet.

I'm not sure if anything can be done regarding this but I'm sharing this anyways. The cellphone reception was very poor. I had an Airtel connection. It didn't have any network, so I couldn't make a call or receive one inside the room. I had to go out or use whatsapp for calls

My room was in a corner - did not even have a window. The bathrooms are old and worn out. Breakfast is another building further ahead. Breakfast was below average in selection, taste and quality

Only one staff member and he was arrogant and we requested for a three hour extension on payment basis as it is very hot outside and we had time to catch flight. He was arrogant and told that hotel is fully booked, but our surprise we tried to book through booking.com, we got a confirmed booking. Hotel staff was not at all cooperative with the customers

The cleaning team were a lovely group of ladies—super friendly, warm, and always happy to help. The location is perfect, right in the heart of White Town and close to everything. The balcony areas are pretty (even though I didn’t have one), and the front desk were helpful, after I approached them on my last day, assisting with an ATM issue and arranging my transfer to Chennai airport.

A major downside was the breakfast situation, which I think is important for future guests to know. The hotel advertises a rooftop restaurant and breakfast on Booking.com, but this wasn’t actually available during my stay. I was told breakfast isn’t served on-site if the hotel isn’t fully occupied, which is quite disappointing and not something made clear in advance. Instead, I was directed to another property for breakfast, which was inconvenient. Unfortunately, the breakfast there was extremely basic—easily the most disappointing I’ve had in India. There was no real sense of hospitality, no proper coffee, and overall it felt like a very minimal offering. When I raised this with a senior member of the front-of-house team, there was little acknowledgment or apology, which added to the frustration. The room, although labelled deluxe, felt quite tired and dimly lit, and the TV had very limited channels. That said, the bathroom was spacious with an excellent shower, and the cleaning team did a great job keeping everything fresh. There was also a lack of clear communication from the front desk about things like housekeeping and breakfast arrangements. Overall, while the price is reasonable, I would personally have preferred to pay a bit more for a hotel with more consistent service and better facilities. The key thing to consider when booking is: be mindful of reviews on Instagram or YouTube—while the location is great and a balcony room would certainly enhance the stay, there are plenty of fantastic hotels around White Town offering far better service, often for only a small difference in price.

The food (breakfast) is not great and is not served in the hotel (you have to walk 2 min to another hotel). But they are plenty of other options nearby

The location was quite good.

The shower didn’t work very well. No housekeeping provided upon arrival. The manager had a heated argument in front of us with a staff member. The restaurant was expensive and the food wasn’t very nice. The free breakfast was offsite and appalling, no tea or coffee after half an hour. The bed was 4 feet off the ground, not so good for a couple in their 70’s even with the steps provided. Very sharp broken tiles on the step into the bathroom. There were no ceiling lights just lamps and the power sockets didn’t work very well.

We upgraded to a suite as the room which we booked had no ventilation and the bathroom was damp.the upgrade came with an additional cost, felt we got conned into taking the upgrade as they gave us a bad room to start with.

I liked the spacious room and the very comfortable bed. The room had everything we needed, including a nice balcony. The breakfast buffet was generous and good, and there was also a small swimming pool.

The only small downside was that the swimming pool was smaller than expected, but it was quiet and relaxing since I was the only one using it. There was only one sunbed, so at most only two people could use the area comfortably.

Fabulous location and was walkable to everywhere from best shops, cafes and beach. Robin who is the hotel manager is fabulous and helpful with every aspect of your stay or questions about the town. He is a legend! Would definitely stay again.

C’est extérieurement un bel hôtel colonial au cœur de White Town et vraiment idéalement situé.

Le petit déjeuner est très basique et se tenait tantôt dans l’hôtel Krish tantôt dans l’hôtel du Ocean situé à 100m au coin de la rue, (même propriétaire)sans que j’en comprenne les raisons. Service ménage pas au top notamment au niveau de la piscine et des assiettes à débarrasser dans les couloirs.

The hotel was located in the heart of pondicherry from where the beach was accessible. We also had a wide variety of options when it came to good cafes which were very reasonable. The staff was polite and accomodating to our requests.

1. The room tariff was over priced. There were good hotels in the same area which was very reasonable compared to Villa Krish. 2. The breakfast option was not that great which forced us to try out the nearby cafe's. 3. They have a rooftop restaurant where the morning breakfast is served. They do not have a net to keep the birds out and were constantly bothered by crows during breakfast. 4. The menu is very limited and is also overpriced.

La chambre était très jolie et spacieuse, l'emplacement est parfait, idéal pour aller à la mer, se balader dans les rues, de supers restaurants à proximité !

Le lit (en hauteur) bougeait beaucoup, à tel point que l'on a pas dormi... Le mobilier est globalement vétuste, la chambre manque d'entretien. La clim et le frigo faisaient énormément de bruit. Mauvais rapport qualité/prix, dommage.

Une chambre " de luxe" qui n'a pas de fenêtre, ou plutôt une fenêtre qui donne sur un mur à 20 cm, et qui est d'une saleté repoussante ! Donc ni vue ni aération ! Et le patron qui se moque !

Wifi was too slow

Emplacement. Jolie chambre spacieuse balcon. J'avais choisi une douche mais j'ai eu une baignoire : finalement c'était extra de prendre un bain. Bon petit déjeuner en rooftop mais servi dans une autre rue. La dame est très gentille. Le patron est très sympa aussi.

Bruit jour et nuit (klaxon, chiens, couloir). Le matelas est vraiment trop mou. Le frigo ne fait pas de froid.

Kindly provide cupboard in every room & clothes hanging rods in all bathrooms. The property is excellent & your house helps (Kusum & Tushar) were extremely helpful.God bless the couple. Air conditioners should be installed in bedrooms for summer stay & water warmer at the swimming pool if possible. Nevertheless the owner of the property is very sweet & ready to help you at all times.Our stay was memorable,thank you for everything .Thanks Mr. Arvind Dutta

Zeer vriendelijke en behulpzame manager! We kregen een prachtige koloniale kamer met een heel mooi balkon aan de gezellige straat. De locatie is helemaal ideaal: alles wat je wilt zien in Pondicherry is op loopafstand. En de roof top is heel mooi, met uitzicht op zee en prima eten en drinken!

De verlichting in de kamer is matig, bijvoorbeeld geen leeslampjes. Dus steeds de zaklamp van je telefoon nodig.

The rooms were spacious and clean.

Booked the Suite with a ‘City View’ but the view was just a drawing on the wall. Had to keep the lights on the whole day because there was no proper ventilation and we couldn’t even open the windows because the ‘city view’ were walls and pipes with an unfavourable smell. Hence, we couldn’t open the windows.

Villa Krish Pondy delivers a quiet, aesthetic, comfy stay with warm hospitality and great proximity to the best of Pondicherry. It’s less about loud luxury and more about stress-free, beautiful simplicity — a great choice if you want a soulful stay in Puducherry.

It was a pleasant stay. The property manager Robin was very supportive. The property is hygienic and maintained. Opt for breakfast which is good.

Bed mattress was too soft and ventilator had a clinging sound. We were exhausted so we still slept but a bit nervous traveler would have had a hard time

The cleanliness in room was averags, not so good. Several crows were present near dining area on roof top restaurent which makes it uncomfortable. Owner / caretaker should put net around rooftop area to prent entrybof crows.

We had a wonderful time staying at this property in White town. It was a beautiful stay with cozy and asthetic rooms. The location was very good from whrre you can explore the whole white town, cute cafes and nearby rock beach. We booked the room with balcony and the view from balcony depicts white town structures. It was clean and tidy. The hotel staff was very cooperative. We reached early morning, so the receptionist helped us to stay in the lobby until check-in time.We also opted for their breakfast while booking the stay and it was tasty. Overall, we loved the vibe and surely recommend to book this stay for a wonderful time.

Everything was wonderful. Just in addition to, the breakfast menu can be expanded a little.

Couldn’t able to reach the staff when needed , no proper response . All switch loose connection . They dint inform us about the breakfast timing and dint inform the proper information . But while check out , they dint give us time for 10mins , the staff was keep on ringing the bell to check out , it is very inappropriate.

El desayuno no tenía opción para extranjeros. La piscina es muy pequeña y cerrada totalmente.

Little ayurveda business around corner only 5 mins walk and very close to beach..AND THE FOOD!! The Western dishes the steak and chicken Cajun EXCEPTIONALLY GOOD BEST IN INDIA!!! And last but not least the lively caring smiling staff so helpful with EVERYTHING ♥ ♥ even organised a birthday cake for my husband ☺
