Good location in a quieter area but easy walking distance to restaurants and harbour. Beautifully decorated, more like a boutique hotel. Ben & Ingrid are Lovely hosts and served a fantastic breakfast.

We loved our stay! Ben and Ingrid are such welcoming, friendly hosts. The interior of the guesthouse is very nice, both the room and the communal areas are decorated beautifully. Room was spaicous enough, had a kettle and even a mini fridge with water and fresh milk. Excellent breakfast, with cooked food (English breakfast and a daily special option) and lots of fruits and berries. Location is good, in a quiet street, walking distance to the city center. We'd stay here again!

Just a minor thing. Private parking is available but not guaranteed for every room. During the bank holiday weekend, it was busy and the parking was full on one of the evenings but we found free on street parking nearby so this wasn't an issue.

Die Unterkunft ist liebevoll gestaltet. Die Zimmer sind ebenfalls liebevoll hergerichtet. Alles neu hergerichtet. Das Bad war bei diesem Zimmer sehr gross. Frühstück wird jeden Morgen liebevoll zubereitet. Man kann ganz viel wünschen.

Es hat etwas wenig Platz für zwei Koffer abzustellen.

Tolle Lage. Sehr geräumiges Zimmer, schick eingerichtet. Sehr sauber. Ingrid und Ben sind sehr hilfsbereite Gastgeber. Ein tolles Frühstück welches keine Wünsche offen lässt. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt und unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen.

Sehr liebevoll geführtes kleines Gästehaus. Geschmackvoll renoviert mit vielen alten Details. Der Weg zur Esplanade war nicht weit. Inga und Ben waren unglaublich freundlich und sympathisch. Das Frühstück war mit das beste, was wir in drei Wochen Südengland bekommen haben. Uneingeschränkt zu empfehlen.

We liked everything! Our room was really nice: spacious, compfy, modern design and great bathroom. The location is also perfect, just a 15-20 minute stroll to the harbour and far enough away from the busier parts of Weymouth. The breakfast was excellent too with good continental options. Ingrid and Ben are such welcoming hosts that we immediately felt right at home. All the best with the new adventure !

We spent 4 nights during my mums 80th birthday. It was a great location, beautiful building in a quiet area but within easy walking distance to sea front. Rooms were immaculate and well maintained. Ingrid, Ben and team were wonderful hosts, and such lovely breakfast with a lot of laughter. What a fantastic way to start each day. Would definitely recommend.

Ben & Ingrid , are the most perfect hosts. They made us feel very welcome. They have only been there a few weeks but you would off though they had been doing it for years. Nothing was to much trouble. Including me helping me surprise a friend with birthday decoration on arrival. Breakfast is first class. Freshly cooked to order and daily specials.

Haus liegt in einer sehr ruhigen Seitenstraße. Sehr freundliche Gastgeber. Schönes Haus mit geschmackvollem Interieur. Zimmer angemessenen groß mit geräumigem Bad. Sehr gutes, individuelles Frühstück.

Um nicht mitten im touristischen Trubel zu sein hat es einen kleinen Preis: zu Fuß ca. 10-15 Minuten bis zur Promenade am Strand, ca. 25-30 Minuten bis zum Hafen

Ingrid and Ben were absolutely lovely couldn’t have ask for more helpful and kind hosts. The hotel was beautiful and not too far from the beach, would definitely recommend staying here.

Ingrid and Ben are delightful hosts having recently taken over this tastefully decorated B&B. Our room was comfortable and had everything we needed, tea, coffee, fresh milk,etc was replenished each day, Breakfast time consisted of fresh fruit and yoghurt followed by a cooked breakfast , all was tasty and well presented.

The exterior is stunning but was matched by the cosiness of interior. The property was clean and the room had all of the appliances I needed (the fridge came in very handy). The complimentary cold water was a life saver and the USB charging stations were a really useful yet considerate touch. Ingrid and Ben were incredibly welcoming and lovely towards me. I would highly recommend Oaklands Guest House to anybody visiting Weymouth (including those avoiding camping like me).

Nothing, it’s a bit out of town, which might not suit everyone. It’s nice walk into town along the seafront though and it’s location means it’s quiet for sleeping

This is one of the guest house experiences I would remember fondly for the years to come. You can tell that the owners put a lot of thoughts into making the stay a memorable one for their guests. We also received useful information about the attractions and restaurant recommendations in the area before arrival. The breakfast was unreal and it was great to have parking onsite.

Our room in the back of the house was a little hot in the middle of summer but we were under the cover of a giant tree, which provided shade and privacy, even when we kept the window open.

Ingrid and Ben were wonderful hosts and we could not have better things to say about their hospitality. Faced with a technical issue upon our arrival, they went out of their way to resolve and make sure we were comfortable. They were also just genuinely lovely people. The property itself has great character, and the small details were very well thought out. Also a lovely breakfast with plenty of options. It felt like there was care in every part of the B&B and we felt really taken care of.

We stayed for three nights at this wonderful guest house and had a fantastic experience. The new hosts, Ingrid and Ben, gave us such a warm welcome on arrival, and their hospitality continued throughout our stay. Our second-floor room was spacious, comfortable, and airy, with everything we needed for a relaxing visit. The amenities were excellent, and the attention to detail was much appreciated. Breakfast, cooked perfectly by Ben each morning, was absolutely delicious, and Ingrid and Ben were more than happy to cater to any dietary requirements or preferences. We would 100% recommend this guest house to anyone visiting Weymouth. It is situated in a quiet residential area, yet within easy walking distance of the beach, promenade, shops, bars, and restaurants, offering the best of both worlds. Ben and Ingrid had only taken over as owners 3 days before we arrived and you would never had known. They were amazingly hospitable and really lovely people. Great people, great breakfast, great room, great stay.

We had an excellent stay at Oaklands. Ben and Ingrid were so welcoming and made sure our stay was just perfect. The breakfast in the morning was great and the location was very central. Just 10 mins walk to the beach. The room was immaculate and had all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay - we even had a fan in the room to help with the warm evenings. The parking was an extra bonus. I’m sure we’ll be back in the future!!

Very beautiful guest house with very friendly and caring hosts. The breakfast was great. The walking distance to the beach is close and easy to find. Parking in front of the house or nearby is no problem. The room was clean and in a pleasant size.

Das Oaklands Guest House ist die bei Weitem die schönste Unterkunft, die wir in England hatten! Das ganze Haus ist bis ins letzte Detail geschmackvoll und mit Liebe eingerichtet. Überall im Haus finden sich Kunstgegenstände! Unser Zimmer war geräumig, ebenfalls wunderschön eingerichtet und mit mehr als wir erwartet hätten: zur Nespresso Maschine gab es reichlich Kapseln unterschiedlicher Stärken, das hatten wir noch nirgendwo - auch nicht auf dem Kontinent! Der Frühstücksraum ist einfach zauberhaft und das Frühstück grandios: frische Früchte jeglichen Geschmacks, jeden Tag ein frisch zubereitetes Special, eine reiche Auswahl an lokal gefertigten Marmeladen und vieles mehr! Und noch dazu alles picobello sauber - bis in den letzten Winkel! Es gibt sogar einen Gemeinschaftsraum mit einer Bar, die die Herzen von Liebhabern alkoholischer Getränke höher schlagen lässt. Aber das allerbeste: Teresa und Tim, die Betreiber: sehr, sehr herzlich, ohne aufdringlich zu sein! Man fühlte sich wirklich wie zuhause! Ach so: die Fotos bei booking.com sind aktuell, nicht bereits zehn Jahre alt!

Our stay at oaklands was more than we could ask. Tim and Theresa were very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The breakfast was exceptional. It's location is good and only a short walk into town. Room a good size and the bed very comfortable. I would reccomend anyone to stop here.

Bellissima e curata struttura in una posizione strategica per visitare il Dorset. I proprietari gentilissimi, la camera pulita, spaziosa, arredata con gusto e cura. La colazione varia, ricca e con prodotti di qualità, dallo yoghurt alle marmellate prodotte nella zona. I piatti caldi cucinati al momento e veramente buonissimi. Lo consiglierei al 100%!

What a wonderful 3 nights we had staying here at the Oaklands in Weymouth. Teresa and Tim were great hosts and very welcoming. The attention to detail in the room was second to none. There is everything you would want from the tea and coffee facilities, cold milk in the fridge. Cold water replaced every day and kept in bottles. Bath robes and top quality towels. What can I say about the breakfast. It was amazing and top quality. Every day we were there we had good options of fresh fruit, cereals, cooked breakfast and a specials board. The eggs Benedict was delicious as was the smashed avocado with tomatoes and poached egg. Oaklands is situated out of town in a quiet position with the added bonus of on site parking. A definite must when staying in Weymouth.

Our hosts Tim and Theresa were so friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. Our room was beautiful and very spacious and spotlessly clean complete with a fridge filled with cold water and fresh milk for the tea, coffee and hot chocolate and biscuits provided. We also had a radio and a TV. We were given plenty of information to help us find things to do and places to eat nearby. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice and the location was perfect. Just a short walk from the seafront and shops and restaurants. Absolutely fabulous stay. Already planning to visit again.

Teresa & Tim exceptional hosts, beautiful breakfast. Fantastic rooms and decor all the little touches have been thought of. Very clean rooms and dining room, very welcoming when you arrive and during the stay.

Room at the top was hot in hot weather there was a little fan but didnt didnt make much difference. They have 7 parking spots but more rooms so as soon as 2 people have 2 cars its very difficult. Its is free parking out on the road but its a very busy area so parking is difficult if rooms are full.

great location not a long walk to beach , we where given a map of area on arrival fantastic, and a list of top places ot eat. Owners where great and even allowed us to book brakfeast 15 mins earlier. which was a great help .

The room was clean and spacious, with tea, coffee even fresh water provided. There was a freat attention to detail which was great. The staff was amazing, very nice and accommodating. Breakfast was very good, with a lot of options, even the special of the day, fresh fruit, etc, everything you could want really. The location is excelent, close to the beach and the restaurants and bars. Parking is also available which is great.

There was a good selection of food available for breakfast and a different daily option from the specials board. It's about a 15+ minute walk to the harbour but, on The Winchester Road you can catch the number 2 or 10 bus to the Kings statue {3 mins}.

Apart from the weather everything was good.

Oaklands is a very stylish guest house, quality fittings, spotlessly clean and plenty of parking. We were a group of 10 friends meeting up for a birthday celebration. On arrival we had a very warm welcome from hosts Tim and Teresa who were lovely! They were friendly, helpful with all their local knowledge. Plenty of hot breakfast choices which were cooked perfectly , the best poached eggs I’ve ever had and the fresh fruit, yoghurt and granola were delicious. Also the tea/coffee facility in the room with biscuits, was a nice touch with fresh milk provided (plus small fridge and free water every day) It was lovely to have the lounge and honesty bar where we could all meet up to plan the day and have a night cap at the end of the day. We would all definitely stay again and recommend it to friends and family .

Me and my husband stayed over the bank Holliday weekend to celebrate our anniversary and couldn’t be happier with the stay. The room was spacious and clean, the decor throughout the building was stunning and the breakfast was to die for aswell as very friendly attentive service from the owners. The location was just a short walk to the beach which was perfect but I would like to mention the breakfast again and it was truly outstanding. We hope to visit again soon.

we are not very mobile and it was a little far out for us from the restraunts and harbour, there is a very good taxi service that the owners said was reliable and not expensive which we used.

The hosts, the decorator, the breakfast and the price were all fantastic. There is absolutely nothing to identify as needing improvement: it's the perfect Guest House! Teresa and Tim are both charming, warming and very knowledgeable about Weymouth, the environs of the Dorset coast and beyond. Breakfast is spectacular, seemingly catering for every need.

Outstanding property with great history. Tasteful decor which worked well throughout the whole property. Great location with good parking facilities for a guest house. Our hosts (Tim and Theresa) were knowledgeable about the area and both were very accommodating. The signature stamp of our stay here was the quality of the breakfast’s.

There is nothing as such that we don’t like about the property and it may be down to just personal choice but I’m not one for a low level bed hight. Some people with aging restrictions may well find this difficult getting in and out of bed.

Attention to detail was uppermost, the interior design, freshly cooked breakfast with lots of lovely fruit choices.

Exzellentes Frühstück. Sehr freundliche Gastgeber. Sehr schön und spezielle Einrichtung.

Das einzige was uns weniger gefallen hat war, dass die Betten viel zu niedrig waren. Aber sie waren bequem.

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt in diesem charaktervollen und sehr gepflegten Haus. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das Personal, das uns jederzeit mit außerordentlicher Freundlichkeit begegnet ist. Die gute Lage war für unsere Erkundungstouren einfach ideal und ermöglichte uns kurze Wege. Das englische Frühstück mit täglichem wechselndem Highlight (Spezial) war hervorragend zubereitet und bot einen perfekten Start in den Tag. Zudem war unser Zimmer nicht nur geschmackvoll eingerichtet und ausreichend ausgestattet, sondern auch tadellos sauber.

Obwohl unser Zimmer sehr gemütlich war, fiel es insgesamt etwas kleiner aus, als wir es aufgrund der Fotos erwartet hatten. Die Hellhörigkeit des historischen Gebäudes führte dazu, dass man Geräusche aus den Treppenhaus wahrnehmen konnte.

We liked everything about this place. It's a bit of a walk to the quay area of town but an interesting one along the waterfront past all the grand old guesthouses.

The facilities were outstanding. The room was decorated to an exceptional standard with lots of thoughtful little extras. The hosts were friendly and attentive without being in your face. The breakfast was lovely with high standard of ingredients and plenty of choice.

Het Guest house heeft onze verwachtingen overtroffen. Bij het boeken zag het er al goed uit maar de werkelijkheid is overweldigend. We werden ontvangen door eigenaar Tim die ons het hotel liet zien en uitleg gaf. De kamer (kamer 4, voorzijde 1e verdieping) was goed, mooi en volledig ingericht. Tot in de puntjes verzorgd. Zelfs een kleine koelkast op de kamer met daarin twee flessen water en een klein flesje melk om zelf de traditionele Engelse thee te maken. Het ontbijt was geweldig. Verse (vaak lokale) producten. Waaronder twee soorten vers fruit. Theresa is in de ochtend de gastvrouw en Tim staat in de keuken om lekkere dingen te bereiden. Je hebt een ruime keuze aan warme gerechten. De ligging van het hotel is perfect. Dicht bij de zee/strand en op loopafstand van het centrum van Weymouth. Je zit ook in het midden van Dorset. Met aan de ene kant Abbotsbury, Lyme Regis en de Jurassic coast. En aan de andere kant Durdle door en Pool. Kortom je voelt je hier meer dan welkom. Zeker de moeite waard om nogmaals te boeken.

Oakland’s is a special place to stay , the decor is stunning and modern . Our room number 6 was great , very clean comfortable , shower was spotless , high quality toiletries. Provided in a small fridge is milk and water to make tea / coffee and kettle for a cuppa on arrival . Breakfast was amazing , freshly cooked to order with a specials board and lots of fresh fruit on offer .
