In a decent location, a short walk from Rosebank Mall. JP who manages the property is excellent with a very friendly greeting and any useful local information you may require. His team do dinner and breakfast, all of which are great.

JP was one of the best hotel managers we have ever had. He was absolutely professional, reliable, and delightful. The entire hotel was a luxury oasis in a quiet, safe residential area of ​​Johannesburg. We look forward to our next visit.

The hotel truly has class. From the moment you arrive at the entrance, where your luggage is immediately taken care of, to the reception experience, everything feels very refined. We were welcomed by JP, whose perfectly polished shoes already reflected the level of attention to detail. He personally escorted us to our room, which was absolutely exceptional – beautifully designed with wonderful architecture and stunning interior design. The entire stay felt very special. It was also incredibly quiet, which is something I personally value a lot. Overall, a place with real elegance and class.

We had a truly wonderful stay at The Parkwood. The hotel is beautifully designed, with a very cozy and tasteful interior that immediately makes you feel at home. The garden areas are absolutely stunning – peaceful, well maintained, and perfect for relaxing after a day in the city. What really made our stay exceptional, however, was the outstanding service. The staff were incredibly attentive and genuinely welcoming throughout. We would especially like to thank Jean-Paul, who went above and beyond to fulfill every single one of our wishes. His kindness, professionalism, and dedication made our visit truly memorable. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Johannesburg.

We traveled as a group and could not have asked for better accommodation. JP, the concierge, greeted us, and was nothing but welcoming and a great host. The food was wonderful with a lot of choice. The rooms are exceptionally furnished and large. The patio was a wonderful place to hang out. We were so pleasantly surprised by everything. I would highly recommend staying here.

Other than construction noise around the Parkwood, which could not be helped, there was nothing that could be changed.

Service and staff

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Boutique Hotel Parkwood. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful. You don't even notice that you are in a big city. Jean-Paul is the good spirit of the house, always friendly and courteous. We would particularly like to emphasise that Jean-Paul and the owner were so helpful in resolving the problems with the car rental. If we are in Johannesburg again, we will gladly stay at the Parkwood Hotel.

Simply the best there is. The facility is beautiful and insulated unkept, but the real treasure are the owners and the staff. JP gets a special mention - he’s awesome. We’ve tried everywhere as we’re in Johannesburg often - but for the past few years we go straight here.

The staff (Jean-Paul in particular) were lovely - very friendly, super happy to help. We were expecting to come back late, and it was a cold night, so they put a heater in the room for us and made sure it was lovely and snug when we got back.

The bathroom was a standout, seamlessly blending nature with luxury. The spa-style bathtub with power jets felt like a personal jacuzzi, and the heated carpet was a wonderful touch. The selection of toiletries was impressive, adding to the refined experience. 🍽️ Breakfast & Dining:The honor area, complete with an ice maker, tea, and coffee facilities, was a lovely addition. Breakfast featured a great variety, including fresh muesli, granola, Woolworths yogurt, fruit, bacon, and avo—perfect for those who prefer lighter, healthier options.

Minor Considerations: While my stay was fantastic, there were a few small areas that could enhance the experience: - The honest bar fridge meant items weren’t complimentary, which was slightly unexpected. - The hot water in the morning was lukewarm rather than truly hot, which was a bit inconvenient during winter. - As someone with a spider phobia, I noticed webs under the vanity sink late at night, making my bath less relaxing. Despite these minor points, Parkwood Boutique Guest House delivers an unforgettable stay with elegance, tranquility, and outstanding service. I will absolutely return for another peaceful and indulgent getaway —highly recommended for those seeking refined comfort! ⭐⭐⭐⭐

The staff were the highlight, particularly JP who could not do enough to make you feel welcome and make your stay extra special. The room was amazing, the bed comfortable, the bathroom enormous, the wardrobe space incredible. Just a wonderful boutique hotel in a great area of Johannesburg.

The only tiny improvement would be to provide full size ironing boards rather than miniature ones that need to rest of a desk. But it's a small detail that should not put anyone off staying here as it's a wonderful hotel.

The size of the property was big enough to have a dining room but small enough that we felt like we were part of a family visiting from out of town. Rooms were large and comfortable, and decorated nicely. The patio, gardens and library nook added exceptional places to relax. Staff were so friendly and helpful. This was our first visit to Joberg and they helped us map out places to see that were not necessarily on the prime tourist lists.

Bathrooms are outdated open concept making lighting a challenge for middle of the night visits.

The Parkwood has an excellent location close to Rosebank. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Our hotel room was large with a big bathroom and dressing area and a sitting area. The dining area and indoor/outdoor seating were very inviting.
