The Auckland Hotel

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and quiet. The breakfast was good. If I go back to Morecambe this hotel would be a top choice.

The stair rails and other surfaces were a bit sticky, but this for me was a small detail that did not detract.

Location was great. The size of the room was perfect for my family. I believe it was a little cheaper because we booked last minute.

I believe the hotel next door has smoking rooms which you could smell in the hall ways in the Auckland. We could not smell it in our actual room. Though. The hotel itself could do with a bit of modernising.

Vanuit het hotel had je een zeer goed zicht op de baai, en dat was zeer mooi! Absoluut een "Room with a view"! Op de vriendelijkheid van het personeel was ook absoluut niets aan te merken.

Het hotel is wel eens aan een opfrissing toe. Wij hadden een beetje een "Fawlty Towers" gevoel ...

Arrived early (1pm) and my room was ready. Staff were professional and friendly. Everywhere I went in the hotel was clean, lit and signage was spot on. Booked a single room. I'm 6 foot and 19 stone, so the bed and shower room was a bit on the small size. Still totally useable though. Excellent night's sleep, albeit with cold feet! Very happy overall and will stay at the Auckland Hotel again.

The sea view was good and the bed was comfortable. There is a lift too for getting stuff up to your room. Room was clean.

The room was quite small for the price and hard to keep cool. The flags outside kind of ruined the view but there was a very friendly seagull who came to see us. The room was fine for one night.

Room was clean, furniture was comfortable. Plenty of tea & coffee supplies, and toilet paper; very good as most hotels are stingy with these. Single bed was a bit narrow for a single, but at this price point forgivable. Lots of charge points for devices, too. Staff were excellent. Very near a Wetherspoons, which is important to me.

WiFi was patchy; started good then degraded, almost unusable at times. Shower either hot or cold, took ages to adjust to comfortable and even then it kept drifting back up. Town itself was dreary and run down, only came for fave band who were playing there.

The hotel was on the seafront, a short walk to town. Friendly staff. Clean room. Lift to all floors. Parking directly opposite, free if you have a blue badge. Bar.

Everything about this place is just exceptional. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is immaculately clean. The hotel is situated right across from the ocean and the part of the seafront there has benches so it was lovely to sit 2 mins away from the hotel and watch the sun go down. The view was breath taking, especially from the front of the hotel balcony which also had seating. Breakfast was lovely at the hotel aswell. Entertainment on most nights as well so that's nice if you into that. We will definitely be going back.

Absolutely nothing about the hotel or area. Only the m6 and the hotel can't control that!was literally the perfect long weekend for us.

Lovely and clean. Gorgeous sea view! Bathroom very modern and clean. Our 2 year old could have a bath and we watched the sun go down from our very own room. It felt so homely and comfortable, perfect location. Would definitely stay here again

The property was in a great location and was extremely clean, great food and lovely staff.

The hotel was exceptionally clean, the decor was really lovely throughout. The staff were exceptionally friendly and professional. The room was excellent and nice and bright and also with a full length mirror on the outside of the toilet door, which most hotels don't have. The bed was extremely comfortable with lively fresh clean bedding. Hotel bar was very good and bar lounge areas were lovely, bright and spacious. There is also a nice bench outside the entrance of the hotel and table and chairs if wanting to sit outside and enjoy the lovely sea view. Overall I gave this wonderful hotel and staff a 10 out of 10 🙂🙂🙂

There wasn't anything that I didn't like about this hotel and can usually fault something on previous ones.

It looked like it had been recently refurbished. Room was a good size and they had a nice bar and live music. Great location near the Eric Morecambe statue.

It was very disappointing that the Entertainment wasn’t on. Everyone agreed that for a Saturday evening it was poor not even back ground music Our party only stayed 2 nights so Sunday entertainment was of no use to us The local pub was a great venue for all us hotel guests ( including most of the coach party) maybe the nights should be swopped around.

2 of the beds were comfortable, the third was very squeaky whenever my daughter moved.

The third bed was far too squeaky, the floorboards creaked alot too. Room 127 definitely needs some attention. I believe other rooms have been renovated.

There was no heating on in room and it was cold and bedding damp. Staff should ensure this is on and working before guests arrive. Unfortunately it was 11.30 pm after a very hectic day so had to tolerate it

Comfort, relaxed atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff, good food. This hotel was chosen by one of our group, while I was staying at the hotel with another group, who have already booked for March 2026.

The staff couldn't have been more helpful. There were plenty of places to sit and chat and a good bar.

I think the breakfast could have been included in the price.

What lovely friendly people! Excellent service very attentive would definitely come here again. We came to drop my daughter off at university. I'll probably stay here for the night when I come up and see her next time.
